Wrestler's Name: Nick Hunter
Nickname(s):
Gimmick: Nick is a former college football player whose chances in the NFL were crushed due to a knee injury. Desperate to not be trapped in his father’s car dealership for the rest of his life, he convinced his best friend since grade school Nate to get into the independent wrestling circuit with him, promising fame and fortune because...yeah, isn’t that how it goes?
His mouth writes checks that his ass can’t cash sometimes, but that’s why he has a tag partner. Despite his braggart tendencies and showy nature, Nick is a good person. He just can’t stop talking about how good he is, that’s all.
Height: 6’1”
Weight: 225 lbs.
Place of Birth: New Orleans, Louisiana
Alignment: Tweener (would probably be a face if he could learn how to shut up)
Pic Base: John Boyega
Secondary Pic Base: Cedric Alexander
Appearance/Attire: Nick wears black and gold trunks, black knee pads with gold fleur-de-lys designs on them, black boots and black wrist tape. On occasion, he’ll wear a purple-and-gold variant of his gear, but usually he sticks to the black and gold.
Theme Music: “Let’s Go” by Trick Daddy and Lil Jon feat. Big D and Twista
Entrance: {“Are y’all ready?!”
The thumping bass of “Let’s Go” pounds from the speakers as Nick Hunter bursts through the curtains, shouting at the crowd and throwing his hands up to rile them, Nate Harris emerging a second later. Nick shakes his head, pumping his fists and grinning ear to ear as he looks around at all the people in the arena. Nick flashes a pair of finger guns at the crowd, miming a few shots and hyping the crowd as he bounds down the ramp, Nate following him with a shake of the hed. Nick picks up as he reaches the base of the ramp, leaping and baseball sliding under the bottom rope before leaping to his feet. He walks over to a corner, climbing the turnbuckles and leaning over to rile the crowd up even more. Nick hops back down, Nate meeting him in the corner as he cracks his neck, and grins ear-to-ear, shaking his arms out as he waits for the bell.}
Special Entrance: To come later
Primary Style: Explosive powerhouse, all about big movements and off-the-line power
Secondary Style: Brawler
Other Style: Rare high-flying moments crop up now and then, but Nick mostly sticks to his gameplan
Strengths:
Explosivity: As a former fullback in the notoriously run-heavy SEC, Nick is used to having to play an energetic, high-impact style of football. These skills translate well into the ring, where he’s adapted them to allow for powerful moves and big offensive moments.
Footwork: Also stemming from his collegiate days, Nick’s agility on his feet, while not that of a traditional high-flyer, is still notable. He’s very good at maneuvering himself in the ring and negotiating openings for himself.
The Bro Code: Nick’s loyalty to those close to him is ironclad. He’ll never abandon or betray his friends, and he knows they won’t either.
Confidence: Nick is a consummate fight-starter and shit-talker, and he doesn’t rattle easily in the face of threats, verbal or physical.
Weaknesses:
Knee: Nick tore his ACL and MCL in the third game of his freshman year, and several setbacks during rehab prevented him from returning to the football field. Though healed now, that history of knee injury provides a rich target for an opponent to work over.
The Bro Code: As much a strength as it is a weakness, Nick’s loyalty to those he cares about means that he will sometimes follow them down paths that aren’t the smartest, even if he should know better.
“Pick fewer battles!”: Nick...can’t really shut up. He has a concept of tact and filter buried somewhere in him, but it almost never shows up. This means that he has a habit of talking himself into fights that he really shouldn’t, and leaving himself and whoever he’s with to fight their way out.
The Ladies: Nick is a simple man. He has needs. Some of those needs involve beautiful women, and for all his dedication as an athlete, he’s still quite vulnerable to certain...distractions.
