Rise from your grave and rescue my daughter.
No really rise from your grave.
Nothing? Really? You are the phoenix man, I have taken you apart piece by piece, embarrassed you, done exactly what I have said I would do the last two months and where do you stand?
Right where you started. I explained to you that you were a placeholder, nothing more than a person holding my spot in line, and you thought that something changed, you though that somehow you could overcome me. But you didn’t. Week after week you mock my character, but honestly you bring nothing new to the table. You say the same thing.
And it isn’t making any difference.
You are like a piece of shit stuck on the bottom of a shoe, you won’t go away, you leave a stink about you but when it comes down to it you don’t actually pose any threat, you don’t make me nervous, and you don’t pose a threat.
This, what is happening isn’t a corporate takeover, regardless of your childish thoughts, see the puzzle pieces don’t fit together as easily as you think. Lex and I, we are simply looking to shake things up, we are simply looking to make sure things go in the right direction and that is certainly something that is going to happen. I mean we proved that this past week.
Winning isn’t always reserved for the best, but it is reserved for the smartest.
So Xavier, keep trying to save face because I know you need to. I know that deep down it hurts that you are unable to finally beat me, and your commentary every week has proven that. You are grasping at straws trying to find something to say that will take me off my game, something that will phase me.
But honestly, you are so below me that whatever you say isn’t worth my time. What more do I have to prove to you? I beat you senseless, so bad that I brought a street fight to a no contest, and last month I pinned you. I have shown my dominance, I have shown it throughout my tenure here beating every single person that has stepped into the ring with me.
I haven’t submitted.
I haven’t been pinned.
So keep reaching Xavier, keep grasping for those straws, saying I am boring because those things don’t bother me. I know how to tune them out, I know how to mentally be ready, something that you know nothing about.
Because you are a second rate superstar Xavier, we both know it and the world knows it. You can’t beat me in the ring one on one and you never will because I am just that much better then you.
I am here to create a dynasty in the heavyweight division, I am here to make things happen, something I have always done. I am the hottest prospect, I am the best in the world today and that is something I have been able to do with my actions.
Because talk is cheap.
Especially your talk.
{Scene opens to Xander’s home in New York City. Xander sits with Jenny in the apartment, they are watching a movie}
Jenny: Have you received any messages recently?
Xander: No, everything has been quiet. I hired security. They said it was likely a crazed fan or something trying to get a rise out of me, I don’t know. It is what it is.
Jenny: You need to take this seriously, I mean, these things can end badly and I don’t want it to get to that level. It has already caused a great stress to our relationship but I really don’t want anything to happen to you, this is scary.
{Xander’s phone rings, he looks down at it, it states unknown number.}
Xander: Hmmm, this is odd.
{He picks the phone up and listens, his face turns blank as he listens, Jenny gets close to him and listens to the phone, after a few seconds he turns the phone off and closes it}
Jenny: What was that.
Xander: Not sure, must be a wrong number.
{The two start to snuggle again on the couch, she rests her head on his shoulder when the phone rings again. He nonchalantly picks it up and places it to his ear, he quickly recoils as you can hear a ear piercing shrill scream, Jenny pulls back and Xander closes the phone.}
Jenny: You need to call the police now.
Xander: Yeah, I guess that would be a smart idea.
{Scene fades with an obviously shaken couple}
Joe Everyman, no matter how many times you rise to the top, it is so soon that you fall to the very dregs again, you are worthless and I mean that the only way it can be taken. Most people would understand in the grand scheme of things where they lie, but ultimately you fall short, time and time again.
Go ahead and cry shenanigans, blame something else for your loss, but that doesn’t make it go away does it? It doesn’t stop the fact that you no longer have the title on the waist and that you are nothing more then a drunk. If you were a serious wrestler, one that actually cared about you craft and this business you wouldn’t lose focus.
You think I don’t know why you were drinking that week?
You were drinking because you needed and excuse, even as the top dog you knew that coming into a match with me that you had absolutely no chance, and your self destructive behaviors took over, they took precedence over the ideology of being the very best wrestler this place could have.
You made a mockery of everything I hold dear.
And this week, I get another chance to show you just how mediocre you are, I have another chance to show you just how much of a worthless second rate scab you have always been. Lex and I are the alpha males around here and you are merely a pup sucking on his mothers teet.
Does it hurt Joe? Does it hurt to know that when you were in the highlight of your career that people still knew that you couldn’t defeat me? Does it hurt to know that I so easily dispatched of you, and that I could do it again whenever I want to?
And that I am so much younger then you? With half your experience?
See some of us Joe, some of us are naturals, some of us are able to easily transition into this job and make the best of it, you have worked so hard and so long and have had one major title reign that lasted all of one month.
I would be embarrassed if I were you.
I would probably quit.
Because at some point here Joe, you are going to have to realize that being at the top in this business just isn’t something that is going to work for you, because there are better more hungry people that are always going to knock you down, always leave you in a ditch, always make you feel like and overused whore.
Because Joe, I am not being real, I am being honest. And sometimes the truth hurts. You and Xavier were made an example of, and we will continue doing this week in and week out until your figure out your role.
How hard that is depends on you.
{Scene opens, you see Xander sitting at a table, a man’s back is facing the camera and you don’t know exactly who it is.}
Xander: Look, this isn’t feudal Japan man, I am going to be honest. Whether you want to be good or bad, it doesn’t matter anymore. The fans are going to cheer for whoever they want, and honor, let’s be honest, honor is dead.
{The person whose back faces you talks, his voice distorted by a machine}
Voice: But there is something to be said for doing things the right way, for winning without bending the rules and taking liberties with your opponents.
Xander: That era is over, completely and totally done. Our tag team champions here are the biggest cheaters on the roster and until you embrace that, until you take the next step there is absolutely no chance that you are going to defeat them. You need to embrace the ideology of a winner, and sometimes winners don’t follow the rules
{The man lowers his head, obviously complicated by this, he holds his head there for a few moments before raising it back up and nodding}
Voice: I understand.
Xander: Good, now just get ready for the ride. You are going to be part of the greatest group of wrestlers here, we have no affiliation beyond ourselves and no other goal then complete and total domination. Look at us, we have two champions and a number one contender. Things are going pretty well for us, and they will go well for you too.
{Xander stands and extends his hand, the man stands up and after a few moments extends his hand, the two shake as the scene fades}
No really rise from your grave.
