Do you honestly think he would have wanted a charity run on the top where I pulled a few punches and refused to do everything it took to win just so he could have had his last hurrah? Let's not play games, Jake wanted to win and he wanted to win knowing I had nothing left to stop him, suddenly playing fair so he could lifts the girls on his shoulders with the gnawing doubt at the back of his mind would be a bigger insult to the man than anything I did. I don't regret it for a second and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Considering the fact I've made your children's lives comfortable for as long as they draw breath and continue to do so through legacy payments on Jake's image rights and would still do anything for them you can drop the guilt trip. If the shoe was on the other foot, it'd be me seeing stars and feeling blood trickle down my head and I wouldn't blame him one iota. There's nothing to make right, Kathy. I've never taken away the platform for him to provide his daughters a lasting memory, I've never refused to allow him or you back despite the fact he left and took you with him. If Jake wants to create memories the only one stopping him is himself, or you. You can keep refusing the opportunity and falling for the tired old "Verona is the devil stopping my dreams" cliché or you can take what you want instead of asking me to give you it. |
