Just relax, okay, that’s it…no more Caramel Latte for you.
Alexis is seen jumping up and down clapping her hands in a rapid fashion, a huge smile on her face.
Did I win? Did I? Did I? Did I?
YES!
Yaaay me!
Yes. Good job. Now what?
Well, for starters, we’re going to have a nice big party, and all of you silly people are invited. I want to celebrate my huge step up in the IWF world. I mean honestly, I’ve been on a huge roll as of late. I won a Number One Contender’s match, albeit with Desiree St. James, but then, in the tag match this past week, the crazy chicks proved that maybe crazy is the right way to be. I locked Desiree up with the Entanglement and she tap tap tappy tapped into submission. So now that I won the Diamond’s Showcase, and proved that I’m better than the “other” Number One Contender, I’m ready to move on to bigger and better things and I can sense how close I am to a shiny Ruby Championship.
The momentum sure is one her side. Hell, she even got a nice shot in on Killian Creed this week to make herself feel better.
I punched him right in his filthy mouth. I got sick of the stalking, and the way he treated me and I thought I would simply punch him in the face…and I did. You know what though? I can’t bother to waste my time on a stupid lumberjack looking man who has nothing better to do than stalk little old me. So I’ll let my oh so yummy boyfriend take him on instead.
That’s right babe. Keep your focus on that Ruby Championship. There are two very qualified girls in the match with you and it’s going to take your best to win.
I know that I have a big big big test ahead in Ana Valentine and Desiree St. James, together, in the ring, with me. I know that they’re going to punch, kick, shovescratchandpullmyhair…
My beautiful…
Beautiful…hair
She looks at the ground, sad for a minute, while gently stroking her long black hair. Just as quick as her little bout of depression set in she instantly pops back to a smile.
No matter to me. They’re going to fight really, extremely hard to win the match and the title, or in Ana’s case retain it. I’m gonna fight harder. Before we get to this little hoopla/shin dig thing, I have a question…
FOR YOU!
Desiree, not Ana. I’ll get to you in a second because I have some seriousness to drop on you like a nuke on Japan. Right now though, the spotlight is bright and Desiree, you’re chained to the metaphorical chair. You can’t see me because the light in your face is too bright, but you don’t have to see…you just have to listen to my words.
That said…how did it feel to get contorted and stretched and mangledandtwistedandmolded into…a…pretty…little…
As she rambled on about the different ways to bend someone she twisted her hands one over another, representing each different way with a rather concentrated look on her face, as if she was actually twisting something that was physically there.
She takes a deep breath as she can sense the excitement escalating through her veins. If you were standing here, like I am now, you’d see it too.
PRETZEL!
As she blurted the word out she kinda lunged out a bit before retreating back to her former position with her head tilted upward, her hands clasped behind her back as she is seemingly reliving her victory from Monday with quite the admiration.
It was really pretty. Me and Alice formed a pretty little team. We worded you down and when the time came to rise to the occasion…we did. So who’s to say that it won’t happen to you again Desiree? Who’s to say that your pretty little body isn’t going to get all twisty again and your hand has that funny tappy feeling once more? If that happens, I get to come here again in front of this spiffy little camera and once more say to the world…I WIN! I TOLD YOU SO!
Then I’ll sit here with my shiny new belt, and I’ll love it like the child I don’t yet have. I’ll hug it and kiss it, andtuckitintellingitnottoletthebedbugsbite…
Those mean mean bed bugs, blood sucking fiends.
It’ll become my new security blanket girls, and when it does, I’m not letting any of you mean people take it away. It will be my second love in life, and I will cherish it like no other.
As long as I’m the first love, I’m cool with that. The belt sleeps on your side of the bed though.
So bring all you got. Bring the snotty stupid remarks, bring your “I’m better than you” attitude, and I will gladly take you right down to the bottom where you belong.
With a tilt of the head and a smile, she skips off to some whimsical adventure, who knows where she’s going…I guess you’ll all just have to wait and see.
Feed…off.

“The Words: I Told You So”
Mike and I are chilling in the living room. Each week he encourages me more and more to study my opponents and the lesson has sunk in. I’ve done it more lately and now look, I have a shot at the Ruby Championship this Sunday at one of the biggest Pay Per Views in the IWF. I mean duh, there’s a Dragon’s Den match…need I say more? So as we’re sitting there watching some film on Ana Valentine, I let a little smile come across my face, then I muttered something that I thought was to myself, but ended up being aloud.
I told you so. I told you all.
Little did I know that Mike heard me sitting next to me and cocked his head toward me.
What was that?
Huh?
What did you just say?
Oh…you heard that?
Yeah. Who did you tell so? What are you talking about?
Reaching forward to the remote, I grabbed it and hit pause on the DVD.
It’s complicated.
You’re complicated, what’s your point?
I couldn’t help but blush a little. He’s right, I am complicated, and he tells me all the time that that’s one of the reasons he loves me.
Well it started when I was younger. While I was growing up. So many different times that I was just told that I can’t get better, that I can’t do something, and every single time I was told that, I did what they said I couldn’t do. I overcame their negativity and became what I wanted.
This is normally a flashback you’d think. However, if I went into every little instance of this bullying, or period of time I was looked down upon, we’d be here forever because it happened frequently. So instead, just listen.
When I was a teenager, people said that I would never amount to anything. They told me that just because I got the straight A’s didn’t mean that I wasn’t going to end up on the streets, a whore, like my mother.
I got picked on by some kid with Leukemia if it makes you feel better. I could never lash back at him because I knew he was sick. I didn’t want to make fun of his fat bald head, or anything because I knew it wasn’t right.
Yes, that makes me feel a little better. They’re different circumstances though. To be told that you’re no good, and then to overcome that gave me a sense of pride that nobody could take away. Take the end of high school for instance. I knew it wouldn’t be hard to get grants based on the level of poverty, but I didn’t want grants to award me for my family being in a bad situation. I wanted something more, so I set out to get scholarships instead. I wanted to be rewarded for my brains. I wanted them and despite everyone telling me that I couldn’t get them, that my essays couldn’t match the others, I worked my ass off and I got them.
Very admiral.
I could feel myself starting to get emotional as I got to the next part.
I even became the valedictorian of my class and rather than having the long drawn out speech I shocked them all by thanking the teachers for instilling me with the power to learn, and I thanked the principals in my life for giving me the opportunity. Then I thanked my mother. As all eyes turned to her and her face turned red I said, “For doing whatever you had to do to keep me safe.”
He looked on with a smile. His own mother passed away when he was fifteen and never got the chance to hear words like that.
That’s awesome. Even after all of the negative connotations people had of her, for you to single her out and tell the world that she did what she had to do for you, and let them know that she’s not some two-bit street walker shows class.
For him to say that made me feel good inside. I like when the good things I do in life are acknowledged.
Then I said in one loud voice, “I told you all!!” and I left the stage.
Ha, the promos started back then.
Yup. So now to this day, no matter what it is, I like the words “I told you so.” They ring better than “I’m better than you.” They have more of a tactic to them. So for some of the people in the back to call me a dreamer for wanting to be a wrestler, or for them to tell me that my time isn’t now, is just added motivation.
Use it. By the time we walk out of that arena Sunday, I want us to be the Championship Couple of the IWF.
I smiled and nodded before turning back to the TV and hitting play. The time to reminisce about the past was over. It’s time to focus solely on the future…and the Ruby Championship. The scene fades as the two of us continue to watch the film.
====================
We see Alexis back in her normal attire. She has a black tank-top and a pair of white short shorts on. She’s sitting in a lawn chair on the balcony of my apartment/loft, soaking in the sun of Southern California before we were forced to deal with the ice cold winter of the Midwest region. She looks over as I walk out onto the balcony and sit on another chair with a camera via her request of course.
Ana. Sweet, sweet Ana. Normally I play the fun and games with people’s minds. I introduce them to a strangely odd person that can beat them at any moment.
You’re different.
You see my lovely blonde haired friend; you bring out that fire in me. You bring out the competitor in me who wants to beat you for that pretty little belt around your waist, and I get my opportunity to do so come Sunday at Metamorphosis.
Ana, I said it last week, I may act crazy, but I’m in complete and utter control of all of my faculties. I take things at face value and if I decide to on any given day, I have all the fun I want to have in the world. At the same time though, I can be the most serious person on the planet. The words that come from my lips are more dangerous than a rabid wolverine, more venomous than a rattlesnake, and deadlier than the most serious of heart attacks.
So let’s be serious for the sake of the two of us going at it in this verbal spat shall we?
Lets; this is quite entertaining from a fan perspective.
This Sunday on Pay Per View, live in bright, sunny, and most importantly warm, Los Angeles, you and I along with Desiree St. James are going to put on a show that I feel will overshadow the other Diamond’s match. The roughshod that Jessica Reed ran over her challengers at the time caused in my mind a bit of tarnish on the Diamond’s Championship itself. The way she dispatched foe after foe made that belt seem unattainable. It made it seem like it was so far out of reach that girls barely dared to try. Amber now has the task of bringing that championship down to earth. She has the task of causing that title to be wanted.
Tasks that she could very well carry out if you ask me.
Then we have your title…for now. You have what everyone seems to want at this very moment in time. Take a look over the times at how each title has been defended since its inception. Tara had it, then Amber, then Ashley, and now you. You have the chance Sunday to surpass Ashley as the longest reigning Ruby Champion in history. I have the chance to stop your streak. I want what you have, and I’m going to work damn hard to get it.
The girl has a motor. Don’t underestimate her because she’s kind of new at this. That would be your downfall.
All my life Ana, people have told me I can’t and I look at them and I laugh. Who are they? More specifically, this time at least, who are you? Who do you think you are telling me that I can’t beat you this Sunday? Who are you to proclaim that you’re better than me when we haven’t had the chance to prove otherwise?
She sits up in her chair with the base in her voice escalating in volume.
Who are you to say that I can’t be Ruby Champion. WHO THE HELL ARE YOU TO THINK YOU’RE BETTER THAN ME!?
She takes a quick deep breath to calm her nerves before re-focusing her attention.
Your skills that you possess Ana are great indeed. You wouldn’t be the current Ruby Champion if they weren’t. However, in the comparison between you and me, we don’t know who truly is better. The difference is, you’re a known commodity around here. You have the name and the recognition. You have what I want, and what I plan on getting.
For now though…I’m content with being the unknown. I’m content with getting better each day until the ceiling is reached.
What I’m not content with is my spot in this company. I don’t want to be the challenger; I want to be the champion. Sunday is my shot, and when opportunity knocks…I usually like to answer. So for the time being, cuddle with your title. Comfort yourself, knowing that it is in your possession. Just know that it won’t be there forever. It’s there for your temporary comfort.
It’s there…for now.
Sounds confident. I would wish her luck, but hey…Luck is for losers.
