IT'S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN! do da do do, do do do da do, do da do do, etcetera, etcetera. You get the point. We are heading into one spectacular pay per view and I for one am excited. The Cruiserweights have proven that they aim to steal the show so you better hide yo kids, hide yo wife, and hide yo husband because dey rap... Wait a minute,... That doesn't sound right. Where's Arnold Schwarzenegger to come and Erase that from our minds when you need him. Anyways,... Bushido has drawn the battle lines and he's not the only one. Word from Keeton's camp is that he's dead serious when it comes to winning this match. Machado's camp has also released a statement claiming Mike is somewhat serious but not really. As far as Freakke and Lockwood are concerned... Crickets. Now I'm sure they all believe their own hype but the only one true believers and adventure seekers are siding with in this match is Bushido. Nothing against these great men but The Asian Sensation is just a little bit greater. And I would bet mad money that my man from Japan climbs that ladder faster, stronger and harder than any of ya'll. Fuckin' A!
Saturday Night...
Bushido: I hate clowns.
Who doesn't? Those mofos scare the bejesus out of erryone. Pogo, It, Ronald Mcdonald, Liz Taylor... Call R.L. Stine cause I just gave myself the Goosebumps.
Bushido: *speaks Japanese*
Subtitles: As a child I was downright terrified of them. Now I am forced to face one in MY ring. Luckily for me, I stopped being afraid long ago. Unluckily for Freakke, his teeth will be kicked down his throat. I do not know if you remember Mr. the Clown but you and I have gone, as you so eloquently put it last week, mano y clowno before. You probably do not remember since I won and you are so use to losing by now that you must just forget about it the moment it happens. I remember though. I remember thinking you were nothing then and then you showing up and proving there was definitely something inside you that should not be overlooked. Unfortunately you ran before anybody could truly find out what that something was.
I could not help but sit back and watch your match with Brad Kane. Everything about you then had drive and, though you lost, I could see you possibly thriving in this division. You were a well spoken man for someone that spends his days and nights made up to look like a clown from that small child of yours' nightmares and I commend you for everything you said. You had me believing in some of it as your promotional package came to an end. Yet here we are this week, pay per view week, where what you say and do matters more than any other time in wrestling and you've shown little to no motivation. I can not cut you down for that. Perhaps you are busy elsewhere where your presence takes precedence over a Reverse Ladder Match at Bloody Assizes. And if that's the case then good luck on that.
But I truly believe that your lack of enthusiasm comes from a different part of your psyche entirely. While your words spoke more than your actions last week I have come to the conclusion that all of this is a running gag for you. Just a hobby for someone who prefers the life of a jester over the life of a wrestler. That offends me greatly. While you clown around you take up the spot of another deserving Cruiserweight who would have tried a lot harder than you seem to be attempting. You should be ashamed of yourself and for this I look forward to bringing further shame to your family this weekend when I climb over your tricks and secure my spot as one of the greats.
You can go back to juggling balls, Freakke.
Emmet Kelly ain't got nothing on Bushido!
This Past Friday Night...
The club was packed with mostly Asian men and women. Some remix of "Me so Horny" was blaring through the speakers. The dance floor was packed with all the sexy dry humping each other. It was a scene straight out of Fast & Furious. The crappy one with all the drifting.
Miranda: Why are we even here?
Bushido: You know why.
A sharply suited Bushido was pushing pass members of the club, yanking the gorgeously dressed Miranda behind him. They shouted over the music as they parted the sea of humans.
Miranda: You're giving him the answer now?
Bushido: Yes. It time.
Miranda: I don't even know your answer. You think I would since it's going to affect me as well.
Bushido: I am going to say yes.
And just like that the fire of a woman scorned engulfed Miranda's eyes as she pulled away from Bushido. If looks could kill Richard Grieco would be dead with this one.
Miranda: What the actual fuck!?! I can not believe you are going to go through with this! Stop being such a pansy when it comes to your father and stand up to him. He didn't respect you enough to let you wrestle and now here he is trying to dictate the next course of our lives, Bushido. OUR lives. Not just yours.
Bushido: It what best. I must for honor of family.
Miranda: You have no family! He disowned you! Have you forgotten that!?!
Bushido: It is reason I must. Please understand.
Miranda: Well I don't and I won't. Kiss your father's ass and watch as mine walks out that door.
There was nothing that could be said so Bushido stayed silent. He thought about going after her but this isn't no Rom-Com so he turned and continued to walk towards the VIP section of the club.
Saturday Night...
Bushido: Beggars can't choose.
I know that's right. You should see some of the women that said yes to my begging... Dry heave.
Bushido: *speaks Japanese*
Subtitles: Fast, quick, agile are words that could describe Caleb Lockwood. Add in powerful and then you have me. You see, Caleb, you are a poor man's version of, well, me. You lack some of the attributes and none of the attitude and this is not a good thing. Some people think that I am a self-righteous human being but those people just do not understand where I am coming from. Do you understand where I am coming from, Caleb? Or am I just as they all claim I am. I hope you have better sense and judgment than to throw my talents away simply because I like to wear my accomplishments as badges of honor where there is none. These accomplishments deserve to be spread around the globe. After all, It is hard being this heroic and undefeated.
Let us stop speaking about my undefeated record in IWF for the moment and speak about yours. You are 1 and 0. That's impressive. However, I am 2 and 0. Proving once again that I am one step ahead of you. I find you threatening in a lot of ways. For example, I am threatened by your legendary status. You know what I am talking about? The legendary stench of the streets you leave behind wherever you go. That alone might be enough to K.O. everybody but I am being petty with that one. Keeton was right in one thing. I expected more from you. Freakke's unreliability is a given but I thought you had more heart in you. That you'd be as excited to face me as I am to face you. Alas, I haven't heard a peep from you and I find myself wondering if your heart is even in it.
I pray whatever you believe in is looking over you; That you end up shaking off The Ace from you and you actually help the rest of us sell this match. It is like I said in my last promo. I want to be absolute in my win and right now the only thing absolute is that you absolutely suck. I am man enough to admit when I have been beaten but I am even more man enough to tear down a mute who can't retort back. I expect you to eventually speak up but by that point it will be too late. My words would have planted in you a seed of doubt and this seed will blossom come Bloody Assizes when you look up to see me with the Cruiserweight Title held so high in the skies you claim you are the master of.
Beggars can not be choosers, Caleb, but it doesn't hurt to try.
Perhaps I will be in a charitable mood and lighten up the workload I have planned for you.
Time to find that cardboard box and call it a night.
This Past Friday Night...
The bouncer checked Bushido's name on the list, like there was ever any doubt that he was on it. The big man looked to Bushido with a distasteful glance before letting him in. Upon entering, scantily clad females rushed up to greet him but he wasn't interested. Their pouty faces went unnoticed as Bushido cut directly towards the room closing off his father and his associates from the rest of the scumbags.
Hiroshi: I was beginning to think you weren't going to show.
Bushido: I am done running.
Hiroshi: Is that what you were doing? You didn't get very far.
Bushido: Far enough.
Bushido's insolence did not go unnoticed as Hiroshi's forehead wrinkled in anger.
Hiroshi: Everybody get out!
Immediately those sitting about stood to their feet, bowed their heads and left, leaving Bushido and Hiroshi alone.
Hiroshi: Are you ready to give me an answer?
Hiroshi motioned for him to sit and Bushido obliges as the tension between these two could be cut with a butterknife.
Saturday Night...
Bushido: A typo almost cost me title.
Sometimes those I's don't get dotted and those T's stay uncrossed but don't you worry. We got that all straightened out.
Bushido: *speaks Japanese*
Subtitles: So I forgive you Mike Machado for not mentioning me when you spoke of this match. I truly wish you would have known better and checked before speaking but we ca not all have common sense. I was looking forward to what you would have to say about me... Actually, I was not. I do not care if you mentioned me or not because the outcome of this match stays the same. I win. You lose. At this point of time you have to realize that you are way in over your head but you do deserve some respect. Mistaken or not you fulfilled your obligation to this match by simply opening your mouth.
I find you entertaining and I believe you have earned a spot on the Cruiserweight roster. Everybody needs a little comic relief now and then. However, not only are you a comedian but you seem to be lucky enough to win. This luck is a little disheartening. After all, Jake Keeton just barely scraped out that first victory against you and you've won every match since. There's something to be said about idiot savants and you, my friend, have an uncanny tactic. You make them laugh so they'd forget how serious a competitor you can be. Unfortunately I stopped laughing with Freakke at the start of this promo. I look pass all idiosyncrasies to the root of who you truly are; A worthwhile competitor with a big enough heart to fight through the pain.
I should say some cliche like 'your luck has run out' but I will give you the benefit of the doubt. I think there's more to you than people give you credit for and while some have acknowledged you as a legitimate threat, most are still quick to push you aside. I will not be pushing you aside, Mike. I am going to be pushing down and off that ladder.
Congratulations on beating the system but you wont be beating me.[/font]
Down with mustaches!
This Past Friday Night...
Hiroshi sat staring at his son and Bushido sat staring back at his father.
Hiroshi: So?
Bushido: *speaks Japanese*
Subtitles: You come to my home...
Hiroshi: English!
Bushido: *speaks Japanese*
Subtitles: No. You come to my home and disrupt all that I have built for your selfish request to a son you disowned long ago. You wish to tempt me back into your good graces now, when you need me and not because you want me. This life I built, I built for myself and now you want to throw me into an arranged marriage with some unknown woman in order to benefit her clan and ours, to reunite our tribes. I haven't been a part of a clan since you kicked me out and for you to ask this of me reeks of desperation.
Hiroshi: How DARE YOU!?!
Bushido: No. How dare you? My answer is yes, father. Not because you ordered me to. Not because I need your love. Not because I miss being a part of our clan but because this will entitle me to everything you own and you will have no choice when I burn it to the ground. I will marry this girl, unite OUR clans and when you are old enough, I shall put you to pasture.
Hiroshi: ...
Bushido shot to his feet as his father's face turned red with rage. He had no choice. He couldn't say no since this was the only way to rebuild a foundation that had been floundering. Hiroshi would not go down without a fight, however, tonight, Bushido had him beat and as he stood to leave his father sitting there all alone, a weight had been lifted off of his shoulders. Honor was dead.
Saturday Night...
Bushido: Confidence breeds legitimacy.
Better than breeding children dumb enough to take the fall for others.
Bushido: *speaks Japanese*
Subtitles: Jake Keeton. It will be a pleasure to knock you down a peg or two. You are the most legitimate threat in this match. First and second place will be decided among you and I. I have no doubt that the others in this match believe that they can somehow win but when you speak of this belief, I ca not help but notice the ring of truth that surrounds it. I know you can win. Am I scared of this fact? Absolutely not. i relish the opportunity to test my skills against yours and believe without a shadow of a doubt that whoever wins this match between us, we will be seeing each other next month for that very title.
I give credit where it is due but do not think for one second that I doubt my abilities. I am as you are. Overconfident with expectations of glory but sadly only one can win and I am The One. You think this game is yours to play but the fact of the matter is you have not faced me in your tenure here. I am a whole new boss level. I am the type of person that loves to switch what you think you know. Now I feel the power behind every word you speak and I hope you feel the same about mine because I do not kid when I say that I will win this match. I come from hardcore death matches. This Cruiserweight Reverse Ladder Match may have unlimited possibilities but all those possibilities end on the same path.
Bushido as the Cruiserweight Champion.
Then you will know the way of Bushido...
.. And nothing gets in my way.
