Have you ever been forced to live the worst moment in your life over and over again?
As the scene fades in we see Alexis sitting on the floor, her legs crossed beneath her as she looks down at the floor. Suddenly there’s a flash and you’re treated to the last time her and Eternity faced off at Legacy. It looked like the match was over, all the hard work has paid off as Alexis yanked at the arm of Eternity…
…
…
…
And that’s when it all came crashing down like a stack of bricks. The perfect image of Eternity tapping out to the Entanglement became nothing but a figment in the mind as she powered out of the hold and hit Alexis with the Death Knell for the three count, ending her reign, ending her dream.
I went into the back that night. You took from me the one material possession in this world that I actually cherished. All along you told me I was your child, and you treated me like one, taking away my favorite thing and grounding me. You caused me unspeakable pain…indescribable agony, you made me hate the entire world. So if this is the way you see the world, if this is how you want to portray things…
She raises her head, her brown eyes peering forward, staring a hole through any onlooker foolish enough to stand within her gaze for too long. There was a lingering question at the tip of her tongue, she wanted to blurt it out, and yet held it in, leaving you, the viewing audience to wonder…only to relieve you of the anticipation.
What kind of mother are you!?
She stands to her feet and dusts off her jeans. There’s a calmness about her that we haven’t seen in a while. There’s a certainty in her voice that shows the confidence, and the determination you’ve all come to know her for having, even though you refuse to see it now, simply because she’s “The Villain”.
Are you even sure of what a mother is Eternity? Do you have that sense of warmth, of nurture to bring along me, your daughter in a manner worthy of being admired. If you ask me, if you ask the adoring public, you don’t. At Legacy you put me through hell, and I did the same to you. You’d look at it as a simple lashing out of a daughter against her mother while I see it as protecting myself from the intents of an abusive mother.
A REAL mother wouldn’t humiliate her daughter.
A REAL mother wouldn’t torture her daughter with her deepest, darkest fears.
A REAL mother wouldn’t hurt me the way you did, you sadistic bitch.
She points forward, admonishing her mother as if she was right in front of her. There’s a coldness to her words, an intent to hurt as she had been hurt. The repercussions of life were about to be foretold, and it was time for this “daughter” to show her “mother” what a true rebellion was.
This is what you want isn’t it? This is the sole purpose of your punishment, of your torture, of your torment. You wanted me to grow and become something so much more than even you could imagine and now the time has come to face what you’ve “created”. Mommy dearest…you haven’t seen rebellion, you can’t even fathom it through the twists and turns in your mind. What’s coming for you at Extreme Endurance, the intensity of it all will be so overwhelming that it will be you who is confused, you who is left battered, and you who is left to suffer as I pry that title…MY baby…back from your cold dead fingers.
A sinister grins peels across her face, slowly revealing more and more teeth as she lowers her head a bit, her eyes still fixating on the camera in front of her. She meant every word of what she was about to say…
This is where we’re headed mother dear. We’re headed to the point where the young pass the old, replacing them and in this case…destroying them. Yes, it is that time in our journey, the time where I make you nothing more than a distant memory…a fear overcome, a wrong rectified.
A smile flashed across her face. It wasn’t the cold, heartless, determined grin from seconds earlier, but this time a more playful, happy smile.
And then, once you’re punished for YOUR horrible acts, once I show you who the boss really is, you’ll know how much you hurt me and a tear will form in your eye. It’ll slowly trickle down your face as I blow you a kiss, as I hold what’s mine, high in the air, over my head, in celebration. I will take back that title I covet oh so much and I will cradle it with the ferocity you think you cradle me. I will love it like you think you love me. I will do whatever it is to take it from you and keep it for myself, and that’s when it will hit you. That’s when reality will set in Eternity. This girl you thought I was, has found her way. This girl, who is a woman in the real world, will finally appear so in your eyes. Then another tear will form, and another, and another, and that’s when you’ll realize that you were never my mother. You’ll realize you’ve taught me nothing. You’ll realize that it’s time…not to let me go…but to let your delusions trickle off without a trace.

“Too Much To Handle”
This was after Legacy. Mike had been through hell, I had just lost my title, and my mother had found out she had cancer a week earlier. Things were bleak for me at best. Everything both professionally and personally was just falling apart, like a window shattered, it was all just crumbling down.
A week later, and Mike and I finally were able to get in to see the doctor. As you all found out that next week, he has a knee injury, sustained in his match with Rob Diamond. I stood next to him, holding his crutches as he sat on the end of the table, waiting for the news to be broken to him. I remember it like it was yesterday. I watched as he stared up at the doctor who told him that he couldn’t do what he loves for upwards of three months. The pain in his eyes was evident, and the heartbreak I felt for him was enough to bring me to tears. He looked at me and let out a slight chuckle as the doctor left. He realized that moment how much I cared…not that he didn’t know already.
It’ll be fine Lex. I’ll get some time off, I’ll get the surgery, go through the rehab and I’ll be good as new.
But you love what you do. You can’t do it now. It just…IT SUCKS!
His chuckle turned into a simple smile as he pulled me in for a hug.
It’ll be okay. I’ll be back in no time…you’ll see.
I shook my head as I pulled away.
It’s not just that.
He let me go slowly and looked at me with a caring that I’ve sensed more now than ever after all that was going on with my mother. I confessed how much things had been getting to me as of late.
First my mother. You saw! I almost went catatonic. You brought me back. Then I lost my championship, after seeing you go through all you went through, not knowing if you were okay or not, and now this. To know that your passion was taken from you, that you can’t do what you do best each and every week…it’s…well…it’s a lot to handle.
I started to tear up again as I shook my head.
I just don’t know if I can handle all this at once. It’s overbearing.
I touched my chest, tapping at my heart.
It’s like an elephant is sitting on my chest. It’s hard to breathe and sometimes it feels as if I can never escape the pain, the pressure, the anxiety of it all.
I could feel it right then and there. There was a tightness to my chest. My heart was pounding a mile a minute as I thought of all the negatives in my life that were simply draining the life out of me. I started to breathe heavily and was losing it. He took me by the shoulder and gazed into my eyes again. He started breathing fast with me, then slower and slower, returning to normal, me following along, slowly regaining my composure taking one deep breath.
Listen to me Alexis.
I nodded to let him know that I was listening.
I’ll be fine. Your mother will be fine. YOU will be fine. You’re the strongest person I know, and if there’s a single, solitary person in this world who could get through all of this crap you’re being put through…it’s you. You’re my rock. You’re my support system as I come back from this. You’re the one who is going to show the strength and resolve to be there by your mother’s side every step of the way as she fights cancer and kicks its ass.
He looked at me as I kind of just stood there, a blank look on my face. He looked unsure and was ready to convince himself, and me with his pep talk.
You’re also the one who is going to get her rematch at some point, and when you do, you’re going to kick the face paint off of Eternity’s face, and you’re going to take back what is rightfully yours. There won’t be a distraction, there won’t be thoughts of whatelse is going on in your life. You’re going to focus on kicking her ass, and only kicking her ass, and when you skip your cute little ass down that ramp and get in that ring, you’re going to do just that, and when you come home, and I’m dripping with sweat after a hard day’s work and rehab, you’ll show me that title belt again and the world will return to what it was…YOU will be YOU again.
A smirk formed across my face. He always knew what to say and how to say it. He took what was a rambling, crying, confused shell of a woman, and he restored the confidence I had lost, if only for that brief bit of time. He put back the resolve I had, and he reformed the competitor that I have become over the past year, and the daughter, and wife I had become. My will to go on was restored and I simply nodded in agreement.
You think?
No.
I looked at him, bewildered for a moment.
I know.
I smirked and turned a shade of pink. He pulled me in and kissed me on the forehead.
Now let’s get me out of here and on the road to recovery.
I grabbed his crutches that I had leaned against the wall in my weeping state and handed them to him. We left the doctor’s office with a purpose in mind as the scene faded to black.

The scene fades in and we see Alexis sipping her pre-match drink as she prepared for her bout with Eternity. Yes, you guessed it…Starbucks… I don’t know how she drinks that crap, but whatever. The point is, the dreary, dark Alexis is gone. Apparently my words had some impact. She takes a sip and I focus in as she’s ready to speak.
So I have to ask Eternity…was it all worth it in the end? I mean, you forged this master plan, you dug deep into my head, and though I thought I had ridded myself of the ghost of IWF’s past, you got the one up and took what’s mine from me. You’ve had it a month, and no, I’m not going to harp on how you haven’t defended it, because I’m not a blabbering bitch like Ana Jones or Amber, I’m as irrelevant now as my sister, Richards. I just want to make sure you’ve had fun with MY title for as long as you’ve had it, because it’s time for a little role reversal.
She takes another sip of her drink before setting on the table in front of her.
That’s right sweetie, it’s time for me to play the motherly figure in our relationship. It’s time for me to teach you a thing or two, and it’s time for me to show you that all of your actions, intentional or not…have consequences.
She slams her hands on the metal table and pushed herself out of the chair with a sternness in her voice that would make a child tremble.
You stole from me Eternity. You took something of mine that is extremely valuable to me, and you didn’t ask to play with it. Well little girl, it’s time to teach you a lesson in taking other people’s things. It’s time to punish you as I see fit, and it begins and ends at Extreme Endurance…and trust me…
She sits back in the chair, crossing one leg over the other before politely folding her hands over her stomach.
Endurance is exactly what you’ll need. I’m going to put you through the ringer. I’m going to show you that in life, your delusions are just that. What you think, and what the rest of the world knows, are two entirely different things, and while others may sit here in front of a camera, or simply record insults to throw at you time and time again, because they have nothing better to do, I’m just letting you know ahead of time, that this time around, the same result will not be what takes place, and that by the end of our match, the next time words emanate from your lips, you can say you learned something. Then, when I’m done with you, when I destroy you; when I leave you all alone, just like your family did, you’ll be asking yourself the question I asked you a minute ago….was it worth it?
In the end Eternity…for me…when I get my baby back, and I don’t let her go…I can assure you…it sure as hell was worth it…for me.
She leans forward and grabs her iced coffee, leaning back and finishing it off before letting out a loud bit of thirst quenching enjoyment.
Ahhhh!
She looks at the camera, tilting her head to the side, and smiles as the scene fades.
