I’m standing in front of a screen in a green room with the IWF logo showing behind me on the camera.
Everyone’s been asking me...why did I effectively start the brawl that ended Sacrifice this past week.
Did I do it to hurt Shea?
Am I afraid of Shea?
Do I think Shea is going to take this beautiful title off my shoulder?
I cross my hands in front of me and throw them out to the side in a denying fashion.
HELL NO!
I point to the symbol of greatness known as the Shieldmaiden Championship on my shoulder.
This gorgeous piece of metal on top of leather is a symbol to the world of what the future of the Diamonds Division truly looks like. It is a symbol of the progress I’ve made in this industry in such a quick amount of time, that it’ll make your head spin.
And now…
I throw my hands out to the side and the green screen behind me falls back revealing the now completed stage for Night of the Immortals.
Now, I’m one of the headline matches of the biggest show in this industry bar none.
I turn to the side and allow the camera to capture a glimpse of the stage.
I’m defending my Shieldmaiden Championship against Shea O’Hara. I’m defending my title against a girl who thinks just a tad too much of herself. I didn’t attack Shea out of fear or desperation...I did it to send a message. I don’t need to have a personal beef with anyone to do whatever I have to do to keep this championship around the waist of a Garcia. All I need to motivate me is the fact that I’m champion and you’re all gunning for me.
Me clubbing you upside the head and fighting you all over the place was a message that I know you’re coming for me, and you better be ready for a fight.
My finger aimed at the camera, I continue on.
Do you even know what it’s like to be champion? Do you know what it’s like to carry such a prestigious title around and represent a company to the best of your ability?
I gently tap myself on the forehead.
Oh yeah! You held this title for a whole couple of weeks didn’t you? You had your chance in the spotlight and what exactly did you do my fiery little opponent?
Let me think…
I snap my fingers as if a lightbulb just came on in my head.
You lost it to that psycho freak Kate Steele. You know...the woman I took this title from; the woman I then defeated again the next week because she snapped and even went as far as punching you in the face? Yeah...her.
I nod with a bit of “Okay...sure…” sort of body language.
Now sure, you beat her to face me. You put her in her place where she belongs and took your opportunity to face me at the biggest show in professional wrestling...kudos. While you’re just happy to be here little girl, I’m completely the opposite. I’m not happy to be at Night of the Immortals. I’m happy that my career has progressed to this point...no doubt. Just being on the biggest show though simply put, isn’t enough.
I point down to the entrance ramp, signifying the event itself.
I BELONG HERE!
I point out to the side.
Months ago, my sister and I set out to expand our brand. We joined up with Alexis Caffrey in an effort to grow that brand, and it’s worked. Then I took control of an opportunity and won the Shieldmaiden Title in the Iron Maiden, taking myself and my sister, and our brand, and heading only one direction...UP!
I point into the camera.
And you think I’m going to let YOU ruin that? You think for a single second that I’m going to let YOU take THIS from me?
You’re sadly mistaken.
Alexis proclaimed that my sister and I are the future of this division...of this company, and I took that praise, that motivation and I proved her to be right. Now...I take on all comers and I lay them out! I take on every single challenger and I do WHATEVER I have to do to keep this belt, and Night of the Immortals is no different.
If that means I have to hurt you…
I shrug my shoulders.
So be it. You’re coming for something that is mine...and there’s not a chance in hell that I’m going to let you do so.
The scene fades to black.

“How Do I Deal?”
After the sick dream I had on the plane where my boyfriend pushed me over a rail to my death, I was very on edge.
My sister and I got off the plane where Mike Laszlo (the person who’s house we’re staying at with his wife Alexis in case you weren’t paying attention lately…) had a car waiting for us to bring us to his house. The driver rolled the window down to inform us of how we were only a few short minutes away. I turned to my sister.
Paige Garcia: Ready for this?
Sara Garcia: Alexis said not to be amazed.
Paige Garcia: Amazed? I live with a millionaire...there’s nothing that can really surprise m…
We turned down a driveway and started winding through an acre or five of front lawn.
Paige Garcia: Holy crap!
Each of us was looking out the window, and about a mile away you see the main house, and man was it big. Next to it was another large building that looked like a garage. We came up the driveway and into a cul-de-sac. As we wrapped around it, the car stopped in front of the other driveway that actually led up to the house and pulled in. We got out and the driver popped open the trunk, allowing us to grab our things. We heard the front door open and turned to see Alexis with her arms held out, faking an excited scream, me and my sister doing the same as we all hugged. She turned and motioned to the house.
Alexis Caffrey: Well...this is it.
Paige Garcia: It’s gorgeous!
Sara Garcia: It really is quite pretty.
She helped us with our bags, and the three of us headed inside where we saw Mike playing with his daughter in the rec room area. He stood up and as he did, his daughter asked about us.
Britney Laszlo: Daddy? Who are they?
He looked down at her.
Mike Laszlo: These are our friends, Paige and Sara. They’re sisters.
The cute little girl waved before heading to the sliding door and disappearing into the backyard. We hugged Mike and got the quick pleasantries out of the way.
Alexis Caffrey: Let me show you your room.
She lead us down a hallway and turned to the right, the first door, and opened it. It looked very hotel-esque. She prepared it for our arrival.
Alexis Caffrey: This is the guest room. We got two queen beds in here for the two of you, and I made sure to put a nightstand in the middle for you.
The two of us looked around and nodded our approval. If you want, set your stuff down and head out back. We’re getting ready to throw some stuff on the grill.
Sara Garcia: I’M STARVING!
She dropped her bags on the bed and ran out of the room. Alexis rolled her eyes and smiled before starting out herself.
Paige Garcia: Alexis?
She turned back and stepped back into the room.
Alexis Caffrey: Yeah?
Paige Garcia: Can I ask you something?
Alexis Caffrey: Sure.
I had a seat on the bed, and she joined me.
Alexis Caffrey: What is it?
Paige Garcia: I need advice. For a time there, you were without Mike on the road. I’m missing Brian more than I ever have. How did you cope with it?
Alexis Caffrey: Awww, sweetie. It really is tough. You just have to remind yourself that you will see him again. Where you have an advantage over some of these other girls is the fact that your guy is rich and can pretty much come see you whenever he wants.
Paige Garcia: He did say he was going to try and make it for Night of the Immortals.
Alexis Caffrey: See? That right there is a great sign and shows that he cares enough to support you in your efforts.
To hear this from someone other than my sister was a little more helpful. You expect your sister to do her best to comfort you in a moment of need, but when you hear everything she said being repeated, it just reassures you of everything she said.
I looked at Alexis and nodded.
Paige Garcia: Thank you.
She wrapped her arm around me and gave me a hug.
Alexis Caffrey: Not a problem hun. Let’s go get some food.
I nodded again and the two of us stood up from the bed and headed out to the back patio as the scene faded out.

The scene comes to and I’m sitting on the edge of the stage, my feet dangling over the side, the Shieldmaiden Championship around my waist.
So I have to ask myself Shea...what makes YOU think YOU belong here? Is it because you beat Kate Steele? Is it this false sense of bravado you have going on deep down inside? You know, that chance to claim some sort of superiority over me in some way shape or form?
I push my hand outward.
Get over yourself bitch.
You actually think that I’m sweating facing you in the center of that ring? Do you truly believe you actually have that sort of superiority over me?
Please.
I sigh rather loudly.
I can’t believe you think so highly of yourself to consider yourself in the same breath as me, let alone a threat or challenge to my superiority over the rest of this division.
I am not afraid of you.
If anything, you should be afraid of me.
You should worry about how I dropped you on your head once before, taking you out of the Iron Maiden. I’ve beaten you on other occasions. What in the coldest of hells makes you think you even have a legit shot of beating me?
I hold out my hand again.
Please, don’t hurt my brains by answering...I have the answer for you...you don’t.
Not now…
Not in the Past…
And NEVER...EVER...EVER will you have a chance of beating me, so you might as well get that idea out of your head right now.
I move to the side, motioning at the ramp.
Do you see this ramp little girl? I plan on walking down it with my Shieldmaiden Title held high over my head, and I plan on walking right back up it...STILL...your IWF Shieldmaiden. The Garcia Empire will expand, and there’s not a damn thing any of you can do about it.
I blow a kiss to the camera.
I’ll see each and every one of you at Night of the Immortals...the biggest event of the year...BYE BYE!!!
I scoot off the edge of the stage and walk off as the scene fades.
