”The weak prey on the fears of others to get themselves ahead...”
Those words appear on your screen as you hit the “play” button on this little promo. They fade away, turning into dust and being whisked away by some imaginary wind across your screen. The darkness fades, and all you have left is me, leaning over the balcony of my hotel room, the camera to the right of me.
So it all comes down to this. It’s champion versus champion; present versus the future, all wrapped up in one single match with a bow on top. The best two women this division has to offer, despite what some others who have irrelevant opinions may say, going at it to prove who the more dominant champion in this company is on the Diamonds side of things.
I turn to the camera with a glare in my eye, a more questioning look as it were.
This is so much more than that Eternity, isn’t it?
I push up off the balcony and turn my whole body toward the camera, a black crop top, and long, flowing white skirt adorning my body.
Well, I won’t speak for you...because my mind can’t get that crazy, but for me, this is about the same thing my sister brought up when she took on Kate Steele after she tried to end my career. This is about family Eternity...something you wouldn’t have a damn clue about.
I turn into the room and wave, and moments later my sister slowly walks out onto the balcony in a simple t-shirt and jeans.
March fourteenth you tried to instill my family with the worst of fears in the world, a fear you know all too well...abandonment. You tried to put me in a box on live television...YOU PUT MY SISTER IN A BOX ON LIVE TELEVISION!!!
You locked her in that dark little box, and you laughed the night away. You thought it was the funniest thing in the world. YOU TRAUMATIZED MY SISTER FOR MONTHS YOU FREAKY BITCH!!!
I pull my sister in with a hug.
It’s okay. You can go back inside now.
She stammers off. Not a word. The mere thought of being anywhere near that box again was too much for her to handle. I shake my head from side to side as I watch her walk back inside, before I turn back to the camera with a scowl on my face.
Just because you don’t have a real family, doesn’t mean you can inflict pain and suffering upon mine. So while this may be all fun and games for you...this is oh so much more for me...this is personal. I’m not just fighting for the right to call myself better than you, because I believe that with every fiber of my being. I’m fighting you at Bloody Assizes...I’M BEATING YOU AT BLOODY ASSIZES to avenge what you did to my sister on the fourteenth of March.
I have a seat on the chair on the balcony and lean forward in my seat.
Kate made a big mistake trying to end my career, and my sister made her pay for it. You tried to paralyze my sister with fear, you tried to turn her into a shell of herself, and for that...you will pay dearly.
You will wish you never met the Garcia Twins, hell when I’m done wiping the mat with your paint covered face...you’ll wish you never started wrestling.
You’re pathetic Eternity. You make me sick. And when this match at Bloody Assizes is over, and I prove to the world that the future is NOW and that the IWF Shieldmaiden is THE Champion in this division...I’ll put you out of your masqueraded misery once and for all.

“Fearless”
Everything was right in the world.
Brian showed up surprisingly a couple of weeks ago, and has managed to be able to stay with me throughout the duration of this tour. He had received a phone call or two, but being the smarty pants he is, was able to solve things over the phone or in a video call on his laptop.
This particular moment, he was on the phone with a client who was briefing him on an upcoming free agency meeting. I was reading a magazine left by staff when there was a knock at the door. I rolled off the bed and headed to the door, opening it to see my sister with a terrified look in her eyes.
Paige Garcia: What’s wrong? You look like you’ve just seen a ghost.
Sara Garcia: Yo...you’re facing Eternity at Bloody Assizes.
Paige Garcia: Yeah? So what?
She reached in and pushed me inside.
Sara Garcia: SO WHAT!? THAT’S THE CRAZY BITCH WHO LOCKED ME IN A FREAKING PINE BOX!!
I turned back to Brian who looked up at me. I cringed, knowing he was on a call and she had just come in, yelling at the top of her lungs. I looked as innocently as I could in his direction and whispered.
Paige Garcia: Sorry!
I then turned and opened the door, pushing Sara out, following behind her.
Paige Garcia: He’s on a business call and you’re screaming at the top of your lungs???
She was breathing heavily, clearly rattled by the news of me facing Eternity. She collected herself before apologizing.
Sara Garcia: I’m sorry. It’s just...ETERNITY! You didn’t tell me.
Paige Garcia: I thought I did.
Sara Garcia: You thought…
She throws her hands in the air.
Sara Garcia: Well that just makes it soooooo much better.
I grabbed her by the shoulders.
Paige Garcia: What’s the big deal? It’s a champion versus champion match. There’s no casket involved, and I’m going to wipe the mat with her face paint and make her pay for what she did to you.
Sara Garcia: I’m just worried for you. She’s crazy. She takes enjoyment out of hurting people and scaring the crap out of them. I don’t want to see you get hurt.
Before I could answer, the door opened and Brian was standing in the doorway.
Brian Godd: You’re clear to come back in. Sorry about that. Did I hear casket?
Sara Garcia: YES!
She pushed me into Brian, and we all flooded back into the room. Brian and I sat on the bed as she pulled the chair over from the desk.
Brian Godd: What’s all of this about a casket?
I turned and explained the situation.
Paige Garcia: Sara faced a girl named Eternity in a casket match. The object is to beat your opponent up and put them in the casket, locking the lid. It’s one of her sick deviations of a wrestling match. Sara got locked in the casket, and doesn’t want the same thing, or something worse to happen to me.
She blurted out, interrupting any and all responses or continuations.
Sara Garcia: IS THAT SO WRONG TO ASK!?
I turned to her and shook my head.
Paige Garcia: No sis. At the same time, you should be encouraging me to take the bull by the horns and beat this bitch’s ass for what she did to you. I don’t fear Eternity, or anyone else on this roster. I am the future of this company with yourself. I don’t just say it to throw out a catchphrase. I say it because I mean it.
She thought about what I was saying and nodded.
Sara Garcia: You know what...you’re right. I’m in your corner. Kick her ass!
Paige Garcia: That’s better.
Brian started laughing as he stood up from the bed.
Brian Godd: Now that that’s over...anyone wanna go out for lunch?
Paige Garcia: YES! FOOD!
Sara Garcia: Sure.
We got ready and headed out the door for some fine English cuisine.

The scene cuts in and we’re back on the balcony, me still in the chair, though now sitting back against the woven backing. It was quite comfortable and allowed me to relax as I wanted to share what I learned about Eternity through my preparation.
I know what you do clown girl and quite honestly it is quite amusing. You’ve tried it with me, and let’s just throw this out there right now...it’s not going to work.
I point into the camera.
People don’t give you enough credit Eternity. The amount of study and preparation you put into dissecting your opponent, taking their greatest fear and attempting to use it against them in the wildest bit of strung together words imaginable. The prep is quite admirable if I’m to speak the truth here.
I point to myself.
The problem for you is that the girl sitting before you looking all cute is fearless.
I wave my hands in front of me.
Don’t get confused. I’m afraid of things. There’s things in this world that creep me out to the ends of the Earth...like your face paint. The difference however is I stand up to those things I fear and I conquer them until I fear them no more.
I won’t allow someone like you to use a fear I have as a weapon to turn against me. I won’t allow you to fill my head with thoughts of doubt based on factors that really have no bearing on this matchup, with the vague purpose of distracting me from the one goal at hand...proving I’m better than you.
I point into the camera.
To be honest, as admirable as your prep work is...the workings of your inner mind are the opposite. You’re the one who sits in the shadows and tries to pick your prey. You wish to feed on their fears in an effort to make yourself seem superior, in an effort to make yourself mean more than you ever could.
You picked the wrong girl because my motives are so much more than exploiting a simple weakness to my advantage.
Eternity, we’re stepping into that ring, and there’s not a damn thing you can say that’s going to distract me from the task at hand. I’ve studied your peculiar movements, and exotic movesets and tendencies. I know what you’re going to do in that ring before you do and I’m already a step or two ahead of you.
Your gestures, your tilts of the head, your offsetting mannerisms, none of it is going to save you from the onslaught of the future. You quirkiness can only take you so far, and come Bloody Assizes, the train will be derailed and when all's said and done, I will prove that the future isn’t far off, it’s not right around the corner...IT’S RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU!!!
I don’t care what others think.
I don’t care what they claim to know.
I don’t care what you think you know.
All that matters is that the prophecy I have foreseen comes true. I will take you on at Bloody Assizes. I will BEAT you in the center of that ring, and come the end of the night, with all eyes on me as I hold my title AND yours in the air, the night, the division, the company will be ALL...ABOUT...ME!!!
