I really wanted those ten points.
Now I find myself closer to the bottom than to the top of the Heir to the Throne standings. It's not a place I want to be. It's not a good feeling.
I love being Man of Steel champion...
But it doesn't mean I wouldn't love the chance to be Imperial champion.
I don't know why I expected to win this past week. JFK is only good at one thing, and it isn't winning matches.
All the guy does is run his mouth.
Real Man of Steel? How about you worry about getting a win in ANY match.
I guess I have to take my hat off to Dre Cutler and Cable Arcane. It isn't like they were a match made in heaven as a team, but they got the job done.
I'm not worried. I have a chance to get some much needed points at Lineage. All I have to do is what I was going to do anyway...
Successfully defend MY Man of Steel title for the record setting fourth time.

The house feels empty without Amber there.
Being home from the trip overseas things are really starting to set in. She isn't coming back. He doesn't want her back. But being home only reminds him of what they had, what they were supposed to have.
It's a good thing that Ryan is in a profession where being away from home is a part of the job. As he packs for an extended trip the Man of Steel championship lay on the bed next to his suitcase.
Ryan Shane: You're partly to blame for all of this you know that?
Obviously the metal and leather strap isn't capable of answering back.
Ryan Shane: Before you came into my life things were much simpler. If I didn't win you my life would be much different.
The Man of Steel title still isn't capable of words.
Ryan Shane: Amber would still be here.
He picks up the belt.
Ryan Shane: Thank you. If you never happened I would have never had my eyes opened. I wouldn't know the kind of person she really is.
With his suitcase now packed he wraps the title in a towel before placing it on top.
Ryan Shane: It's just you and me bud.
Steel O'Buffington...
Yes, we know...that's not your real name.
I guess your real name doesn't matter does it? After all you aren't really a man are you?
You're nothing more than an empty shell.
You just sit there and wait for a hermit crab to come along and give you purpose. You serve as a safe place, as protection.
Without Addisyn Starr you would be nothing.
It doesn't have to be that way.
You're a big and scary guy. Out of all the people I've been in the ring with you're the biggest. The cage seems like the perfect environment for a guy like you. Inside the cage there is little chance for escape.
You could do a lot of damage in there. You could beat me black and blue.
You could be Man of Steel champion.
Except any accomplishment you achieve isn't your own. All the credit for your work goes to Addisyn Starr. How can you be aright with that? You could be doing things on your own, on your own terms.
But instead you're controlled by a woman.
It seems like the IWF has a problem with men who can't do anything without a woman pulling the strings. Like Zasshu before you Steel...
You're a puppet.
Your only purpose is to serve Addisyn Starr.
That is why when all is said and done I will win at Lineage.
I have heart, soul, and desire.
You have none of these Steel.
You're a man slave.
You have no free will.

This is a long time overdue. It's been a couple of weeks since Amber told Ryan that her and her ex boyfriend Ethan would be raising his son. Ryan should have hopped on a plane right away. He should have made his way to Idaho and talked some sense into her.
Despite how she feels about him, he has done nothing to deserve being cut out of his son's life before it even begins.
He expected that she would be at her parents' house. She wasn't. It looks like it wasn't just talk when it came to her being back with Ethan. Apparently she has been staying there the past month.
He was able to get the address to his farm from her mother. I think she felt bad about ratting out her daughter but she knows deep down what Amber is doing isn't right.
As he follows the directions coming from his phone Ryan navigates the unfamiliar roads. He eventually pulls up to what he expects to be the right place and parks his car.
He makes his way to the door and knocks. It isn't long before Ethan opens the door. He doesn't seem shocked to see Ryan standing there, but he doesn't say anything either.
Ethan walks away and moments later returns with a increasingly pregnant Amber. The two of them join Ryan outside.
Amber Lynn: I'm not sure what you're doing here Ryan. I thought I made it very clear. You're off the hook. You can live your life however you see fit. You don't need to worry about me or the baby.
Ryan Shane: You're being unreasonable. Just because things didn't work out between us doesn't mean I don't want to be a part of my son's life.
Amber Lynn: Oh now you want to be a part of his life? Where were you the past couple of months when I was at home carrying him? You weren't there! You were out living some fantasy, some wrestling dream.
As the two argue Ethan stands there. It's not exactly a comfortable situation for him. He isn't able to stay out of it for long.
Ryan Shane: Did she tell you I wanted nothing to do with the baby?
He directs the question Ethan's way.
Ethan Keith: She...
Amber Lynn: Don't you dare try to paint me as the bad guy in his eyes. I gave you chance after chance to do the right thing. Ethan quit wrestling and now works hard everyday on this very farm. He doesn't say he loves me and then spends most of the time trying to find ways to avoid seeing me.
Ryan Shane: I wasn't wrestling to avoid you Amber. I was doing it to make our lives better. It isn't my fault you couldn't see that. None of that matters now. What matters is that you're trying to take my son from me.
Ethan Keith: I'm confused. Amber, you said he wanted nothing to do with the baby. He says he wants to be in the baby's life.
Ryan Shane: You were with her for a long time. You should know how she can be.
Ethan Keith: Look, I want you to know I have nothing to do with you not seeing your son.
Amber getting aggravated interjects.
Amber Lynn: He must have changed his mind then. I wouldn't lie about this! I wouldn't lie to you Ethan!
Ethan just nods in agreement. He knows how easy it is to just give into her. It happened far to often until he woke up and saw her for what she truly is.
Ryan Shane: You know what Amber? I've tried to be nice about things. When you left I blamed myself. But I realize now that you've always tried to make me into what you wanted me to be. You never wanted me for who I am. You wanted your version of what I should be.
She tries to interrupt.
Ryan Shane: No, you are going to let me finish! Ethan I wish you luck. I'm glad she isn't my problem anymore. I'm glad for my time with her because I will have a son from it. I will fight till my last breath if I have to.
As Ryan continues to talk he is becoming very heated.
Ryan Shane: Amber thank you for opening my eyes. I can finally see you for the cruel, manipulative bitch that you are!
That was all it took to get under her skin. She raises her right hand and slaps Ryan right across the face.
This causes him to lose his cool. He grabs her shoulders, probably harder than he should. She tries to fight him off but his grip is too strong.
After a few moments he releases her. They are both in shock.
Ryan Shane: I'm sorry...I don't know what...
He doesn't get the rest of it out. For the second time in a couple of minutes he feels a sting on his cheek. This time it comes from the fist of Ethan that drops him to the ground.
Ethan Keith: You get the hell out of here! If I ever see you here again I swear a punch to the face will be the least of your worries.
Ethan leads a crying Amber back into the house. Ryan just continues to sit on the dirt.
Ryan Shane: What did I just do?
I'm not sure how this charade is allowed to continue.
Addisyn Starr has no place “competing” with the men. Sure she does absolutely nothing, but that doesn't change anything. It's disrespectful to guys like me who go out there every week and put our bodies on the line.
Addisyn, she is beautiful. As a man I have no problem admitting that. Her physical appearance is breathtaking. She is the kind of woman that would make any man who is with her the envy of those who aren't.
If you look up and down the roster if the IWF you would be hard pressed to find a more attractive woman.
That's where the beauty ends.
Deep down, on the inside, where it counts?
There may be none uglier.
Addisyn you're not a good person. I think you know that, and I'm pretty sure you don't care about that. I wish I could put you in your place. I really do. I want you to get what you deserve.
I have a confession to make Addisyn...
You're getting under my skin.
I wanted to give in. I wanted to hit you. I wanted it so much.
What kind of man would that make me? I was raised to never hit a woman. The thought of it should never cross my mind. But it does. In this business when woman cross the line, sometimes you want to remind them just what sort of profession they chose.
I didn't strike you though did I Addisyn? I know you wanted me to. You were begging for it. You wanted me to lose control and do it. If I had done it I would have no chance at Lineage.
I would have given over control of myself to you.
I would have been no better than Steel.
I would have given into your will.
I want you to listen very carefully Addisyn. I know you want to be the first ever Woman of Steel champion.
That is never going to happen.
Even if Steel beats me you can't truly stake your claim as champion. All you're doing is piggybacking on his achievements. I don't care if the IWF gives you credit.
Like I said, it's a charade.
I know you are used to getting exactly what you want. Sometime in your life someone must have told you that was alright. It's not.
Professional wrestling is a tough business.
If you want to be successful, you need to put in the work.
I have a feeling that one day you will get what you deserve.
It won't be at Lineage.
I've faced bigger challenges that you.
Just remember that when the match is over and I'm standing tall over the slayed beast Steel O'Buffinton. That you asked for it.
See you Sunday night.
Now I find myself closer to the bottom than to the top of the Heir to the Throne standings. It's not a place I want to be. It's not a good feeling.
