The scene opens up to the usual hotel room. After all, that’s the life of a professional wrestler right? We travel around the world, never to know the feeling of our own bed, perform in front of the adoring public, and move on to the next city. We see Ashley sitting in a chair in the room, legs cross right over left in a pair of capris and a blue short-sleeve shirt. In her left hand she holds her cell phone. Through the air you can hear ringing as the phone is set to speaker phone. Ashley sits there quietly and waits. The phone rings a total of four times and goes to Voicemail.
Mike’s Voicemail: Hey, you’ve reached Mike Laszlo. If you’re really looking for me, leave a message. If not, hang up the damn phone.
Ashley holds out the phone, pushing it out a little further as if to say go ahead. After no response she hangs up the phone and smiles.
Ashley Mastrangelo: What? Didn’t you want to talk to Mike, Amber? Didn’t you want to tell him he’s “Average” as you put it. I mean come on now hun, you act as if because he trained me I took on his “average” traits. You act as if you’re quintessentially taking on him. Hate to break it to you sweetie, he doesn’t have the looks or the talent that I do. For one, I’m in a title match, he’s still fighting to get in his.
Ashley looks over and tosses her phone onto the bed before turning back to the camera.
Ashley Mastrangelo: The fact is girls, and be sure to wrap this around your little pea brains for just enough time to understand, we wouldn’t want to have to put out a fire, just because I was trained by him…doesn’t mean I AM him. They probably taught this in high school where the two of you were two busy giving out blow jobs in class. Boys have a penis, girls have a vagina and breasts.
Ashley grabs the collar of her shirt and takes a peek at the goods she possesses. She then stands and does the same with the waistband of her pants.
Ashley Mastrangelo: Yep, just making sure. Didn’t want to go spouting off at the mouth and get proven wrong by a doctor. I have no penis. Thank God. I mean, what are they good for anyway, other than sex and writing your name in snow? So, now that the observations have been made, and the conclusions have been come to, can we please move on to the match?
Ashley walks over from the chair to the side of the bed and lays on it stomach down looking into the camera.
Ashley Mastrangelo: This Sunday isn’t about who trained who, or who is married to whom. This Sunday at Lineage is about one thing and one thing only, championship gold. It’s something I don’t just want, it’s something I have got to have, and we all know, what I want…I get. So when the three of us meet in the center of that ring, you can think it all you want, but neither one of you is going to stop me from obtaining that belt.
Atonement is coming and all that I have fought through and for will be realized. When that bell rings and the Ruby Title is handed to yours truly, and I hear the announcer announce me as the NEW Ruby Champion, I’ll be able to tell you that I told you so…all…over…again.

==Not As They Seem==
Ashley Mastrangelo: So can you believe how stupid that was?
Dani: I know right? I’m so sorry I put you in that position.
Ashley Mastrangelo: You’re fine sweetie. You’re my best friend and I don’t want to see anyone put you down like that.
In case you haven’t picked up on it, this picks up my story from a few weeks ago about my BFF Danielle. She was going out with this guy who totally did it to make his ex-girlfriend jelly beans (jealous). It worked for him because he got back with the slut bag. He got a slap in the mouth for it from me and that landed me in detention. This is happening after I got home that day.
Dani: I promise I’ll be better tomorrow. Gawd, he’s such a dirt-bag.
Ashley Mastrangelo: Best to just forget about him. I’ll see you tomorrow, kay?
Dani: Laters.
I got out of the car that one of Daddy’s bodyguards was driving. As I walked in the door I looked up the steps and saw the look of death from my father. My eyes shifted left to right plotting an escape, but to no avail. That look was always bad, and I always got it…at least until I explained my way out of the situation. He could tell I was scared as I could feel my legs trembling beneath my skirt. I could barely stand on the high heels I was wearing as I watched him head down the stairs. He stopped at the base of the stairs and stared a hole right through me.
Antonio Mastrangelo: What’s this I hear about slapping some boy?
Ashley Mastrangelo: Daddy, I had good reason.
Antonio Mastrangelo: Oh? Let’s hear this oh so great reason.
Ashley Mastrangelo: Well, um. I’m kinda the leader of this group at school. You know, kinda like how you are with your friends, only not as bossy.
I could tell he was rather amused by my comment.
Ashley Mastrangelo: So there was this idiot boy who dated Danielle just to make his ex-girlfriend jealous. You should have seen Dani. She was heartbroken. She went all emo-goth and everything. So I went up to him and told him off. Then he laughed at me so I slapped him. I was only standing up for my friend. Don’t be mad Daddy.
I watched him absorb the information. He thought it over and gave me a nod.
Anthony: Alright, you get a pass this time. Next time though, let Danielle handle her own mess.
Ashley Mastrangelo: Yes sir.
So the day went as normal. I hung out in my room, did my homework, whatever. The next day though would be rather exciting. I don’t know if you remember, but earlier in the day, when I had got to school, Dani was a hot mess. I mean Oh Em GEE hot mess. She looked like a cross between Black Sabbath and Raggedy Anne. The next day would be such a drastic change that you would have never guessed the day before had happened. I for one, was so happy.
I had arrived at school a bit early. The other girls were standing where they were the day before, and again, Dani was missing. As I got to the group I sighed and while putting my hand on my hip, tilted my head to show my slight confusion.
Ashley Mastrangelo: Where is she?
Karen: She’s not here yet Ash.
Ashley Mastrangelo: What do you mean? She’s usually the first one here.
Karen: I know. But she’s not here yet.
From behind me, the sudden sound of cat calls, and other various flirtations were heard. I turned my head and my jaw dropped instantly. I saw the cutest girl I had ever seen, other than myself of course, walking through the cafeteria. Gone were the dark hair colors of the day before, and the scuzzy blackened garb, and out today was the hottie we all knew and loved. She walked with confidence and her head held high, her new platinum blonde locks bouncing back and forth in their curly form. She got to the group and greeted us.
Dani: Hey guys, what’s up?
Karen: Wow.
Ashley Mastrangelo: You look fabulous. How long did it take to do your hair?
Dani: Oh my God, forever. Do you know how long it takes to get that much black dye out? It was pretty gross.
Ashley Mastrangelo: I bet.
As we continued talking, the same boy I had slapped one day earlier walked by with his whore on his arm. His head immediately turned to Dani who simply shot him a wink which led to a hard tug on his arm. After a few moments, the boy managed to wriggle away from his girlfriend, and wander over in our direction.
Boy: Wow…you look…
Dani rose her hand right up into his face and pie faced him backward. The people around us were shocked, some even applauded as we stood behind her is unison.
Dani: I don’t need you. You’re nothing but a man-whore. Do me a fav and don’t EVER talk to me again.
You could see the dejection in his eyes. He turned with his head down and walked away as we celebrated our little victory.
To know that I inspired that gives me great pleasure…just saying.

Ashley Mastrangelo: Moral of my story? Anyone? How about, don’t judge a book by its cover. That’s exactly how I feel when I listen to both Amber and Tara. I mean, really Amber? Goodie-Two-Shoes? You couldn’t be farther from the truth bitch. Here I thought that all of this time you would have learned something by teaming with me seeing as how you’re the oh so great student. Hate to break it to you babe, but as far as the Ashley Mastrangelo class goes…you fail.
Ashley gets off the bed and heads to the door.
Ashley Mastrangelo: Tara, nobody really knows who trained you and to be quite frank with you…I don’t care who trained you, just as you shouldn’t care who trained me. The fact of the matter is this:
We’re getting into the ring this Sunday to fight for a prize. It’s a shiny gold belt, and it means worlds to me, more so than I believe it does for you. I think for you, it’s a shiny prop with no meaning. I think for you it’s just something to carry around to let people know you mean something in this world of ours. That’s not what it is for me. So when I get my hands on the belt that I deserve, you can guaran-damn-tee that I will treat it for what it is…
RESPECT!
LEGACY!
GREATNESS!
That belt will mean that I am better than you. It’s already figuratively speaking…this Sunday on Pay Per View we make it a little bit more literal.
Mike’s Voicemail: Hey, you’ve reached Mike Laszlo. If you’re really looking for me, leave a message. If not, hang up the damn phone.
