It’s been almost seven months...have you missed me?
The scene comes to life, in case you don’t remember, this is the guy that hates you all, Mike Laszlo behind the camera. You all suck...now pay attention to my wife...thank you very much. As I said, the scene comes to life and you see my loving wife, waving to the camera with a cute innocent smile on her face.
Awwww, that’s cute. You people thought I was talking to you?
Hahaha, she’s not talking to you...why would she care if you missed her or not?
I wasn’t talking to any of you. I hope you’re sad, let down, and overall just a little put off, but to be honest...I’m talking to my sweet baby girl that’s currently being held against her will by that raging lunatic Eternity who claims she’s my mother, and the mother of all, but in the end is nothing more than a pathological liar with delusions of motherhood.
She points into the lens of the camera I’m holding, an angry look in her eyes.
You took my baby from me...you’ve held her against her will, and you’ve tried your best to corrupt her, to taint her beyond recognition. It hurts me to see what you’ve done to my little baby!
She shutters at the thought.
So when I heard Roberto Verona announce this little party, when I heard him invite any and all Diamonds to said party, I couldn’t help but smile, skip through the door and announce to the world…
I’M BACK!
She holds up seven fingers.
I’ve been gone for a long time. The last image of me isn’t very flattering in the least bit.
She motions forward as if cueing someone to play the clip.
{Eliza is three quarters of the way up the other side when Eternity stomps over and grabs hold of her, climbing herself as well. The two fight and soon Eliza is able to knock Eternity down from the ropes and takes another step, but Alexis makes her way over and just hangs on Eliza’s waist, who is clutching to the cage with all of her might. Eternity is to again and starts climbing right by Alexis who can’t let go of Eliza or she’d fall to her demise. Eternity passes Eliza who really can’t let go due to Alexis’ added weight. Both manage to somehow shift position and head up the cage but Eternity is already standing on top of it. Eliza and Alexis reach to the point where they are grabbing the top of the cage when they both look up at Eternity who blows them a kiss.
Their eyes go wide as she grabs hold of the cable supporting the cage and sacrifices her own body with a modified baseball slide type maneuver, her feet hitting both girls in the face, causing them to fall limp, letting go of the cage, each crashing through the table that was setup in the center of the ring!!
A “Holy Shit” chant erupts from the crowd as Eternity holds herself on top of the cage by the cable, clutching at her tailbone. She swings her legs over and climbs down before dropping to the floor as the bell ring.}
As the scene returns, Alexis is sobbing a bit.
Try and try as I could, that wretch was in the right place at the right time, knocking me and Eliza to the ground, through a table. It was then, as I laid there in pain and agony that I realized I was right all along.
She wipes away the tears, refocusing.
I told the world that after one hundred and fifty-four days, I was untouchable. I showed them all in that time that I was the most dominant female, not just on this roster, but any other in the entire world.
She turns to the ground, her eyes seemingly showing the humbled ego from her fall, and her loss.
Then came that fall. The world was put into perspective, and I needed a bit to reassess things.
She turns back to the camera though with a strong, confident look in her eyes.
But you know what?
The more and more I looked into what went wrong, the more and more I realized that nothing went wrong at all.
She tilts her head a bit.
You see, what I learned, the deeper and deeper I went into the scenarios at hand, I realized...I was right.
She shakes her head from side to side.
There isn’t a single soul in this world, let alone this roster than can beat me one on one, and THAT’S why Eternity is still your champion. That’s why she holds my baby and claims it as her own...but it’s not hers...IT’S MINE!
MINE! MINE! MINE! MINE! MINE!
AND I WANT IT BACK!
She points to herself.
I am the rightful champion Eternity. I am the rightful mother, and best friend of that championship you carry around like some sort of souvenir. That’s all it is to you Eternity, but to me, it’s oh so much more.
She points out to the side.
Then…
She then points to the ground.
Just like now...I’m the best women’s wrestler in that ring.
She holds up an index finger.
It was one year ago, almost to the day, that I exercised the demon that is Eternity in a one on one encounter. It was almost a year ago that I won my baby and took her on an incredible one hundred and fifty-four day journey.
She rubs her waist with her hands from her bellybutton to her sides in a “championship” motion.
It’s almost our anniversary sweet girl…
She looks up at the camera, a tilt of her head, and a sadistic smile on her face.
Won’t you come home to me?
She starts laughing, at first it’s a subtle yet maniacal laugh, but then it turns to full out laughter as she drops to her knees laughing hysterically.

“Picking My Spot”
Mike and I were sitting in the back at the latest Monday Night Sacrifice. Neither one of us was booked for the night due to circumstances, but we were asked to attend nonetheless with the huge news pertaining to the Diamonds Title. We didn’t know the announcement, I don’t think anybody did. We were watching the television in our locker room through Eternity’s segment, and then Roberto Verona came out onto the stage, peaking the interest of Mike and myself.
Roberto Verona: "At Extreme Endurance, Eternity, you will defend that IWF Diamond’s Championship against not one, not two, not three… but every single woman who wants to prove that they can beat the immovable object. This is an open invitation to the entire Diamond’s roster, the men have their Roulette, but now you will have your very own chance to stake your claims. You think you can take down Eternity? Prove it. Become immortal, or watch as she does so in your stead. This is your chance to become the defining face of the Diamond’s division, or to exist in her shadow. The time for talking is over, the time to see who has what it takes is this Sunday. Either you walk out champion, or Eternity walks out, deservedly, the longest reigning singles champion in company history."
My eyes grew as wide as could be. I turned to my husband, who slowly looked back at me with a smile on his face.
Alexis Caffrey: Did he say “ANY” Diamond can challenge?
Mike Laszlo: That he did.
My eyes shifted from side to side as the different thoughts coursed from one side of my head to another. I then looked up at Mike who sat there and simply smiled at me as I contemplated the situation in front of me.
Alexis Caffrey: I haven’t done this in seven months. I’ve stayed in shape, but...there’s a lot to do to get back in ring-shape.
Mike Laszlo: I’m here for you. If you’re willing to commit to this, I’ll help you put in the work.
I looked down at the floor in front of me. When I lost the title, I knew I would want a break, I knew I would need to heal up from nagging injuries, from the brutal schedule of a champion. That was seven months ago though, and the more and more I thought about it, the more and more I was getting excited inside.
I’ve wanted to wrestle my entire life from the moment I first laid my eyes on a television displaying this art form before my very eyes. I struggled through life, from hotel to car and back again as has been well documented. I’m a two time Diamonds Champion, with the record being three…
I looked up at Mike as we sat there on the couch and I nodded my head.
Alexis Caffrey: I think it’s time.
Mike Laszlo: I’m there for you...we start tomorrow.
I looked back down in front of me, as I knew what was coming. I started to nod my head, a quiet confidence overcoming my being. I knew it was time. I knew this was MY time.
Alexis Caffrey: It’s time to get my baby back.
I get up from my seat as does Mike and the two of us grab our bags and leave the room, flipping the switch and the lights go out...as does the feed.
THE NEXT DAY:
Mike Laszlo: Where are you!?
Alexis Caffrey: I’m coming, I’m coming...geez.
I rushed out of the bathroom, dawned in workout clothes as Mike and I grab our bags and head out of the hotel room, jumping in our rented car, and heading to the nearest gym. Rather than work with the citizens of the Brooklyn area, we headed to a gym a little outside of the city’s limits. As we entered the facility, it was a nicely maintained workout area with a heavy bag. Mike pointed at it.
Mike Laszlo: Let’s go.
The two of us walked over and he stood behind the bag as I grabbed my gloves from my workout bag, strapping them on, ready to hammer away at the hanging target. Mike braced the bag, grabbing it along the sides.
Mike Laszlo: Go for it.
I started unloading with a few punches, Mike egging me on.
Mike Laszlo: Is that all you got? Come on.
My punches got stronger.
Mike Laszlo: COME ON!
I started getting angry with him yelling at me and started punching even harder, so much so that the bag started jumping back into Mike’s body. I then unleashed some kicks, a nice force behind them.
Mike Laszlo: These little girly strikes won’t be enough to beat Eternity. They won’t be enough to get your baby back!
I started punching again and again with kicks and spinning backfists, unleashing combos that seemingly stunned my husband as I was using strikes right off the bat that I was using at the prime of my training before I had left. I unleashed a final roundhouse kick before backing up and catching my breath. Mike stepped out from behind the bag.
Mike Laszlo: Nice. Much better than I thought we were going to get.
Alexis Caffrey: What? Did you think I was going to come out soft?
Mike Laszlo: Maybe a little rusty.
Alexis Caffrey: What do you think I’ve been doing while you’ve been in the gym? Pilates?
He laughed.
Mike Laszlo: Okay...you can strike...what about in the ring.
I pushed him on the shoulder playfully.
Alexis Caffrey: Let’s go see how rusty I am.
The two of us headed over to the ring in the gym. We started executing simple moves and reversals, and then got into our more complex movesets, in the end, I spun over his head and locked in the Entanglement! He tapped out and I let go as he sat on his heels in the center of the ring.
Mike Laszlo: A few things to work on fine tuning, but overall, not shabby at all. I think you got this in the bag.
Alexis Caffrey: I don’t just have it in the bag...I’m getting my baby back!
The two of us continued working out as the scene cuts.
********************************************
The scene comes back to and the camera is aimed at Alexis who is sitting on the bench in the gym after a grueling workout. She wipes the sweat from her forehead and sets the towel over to the side.
So I wonder if Eternity feels pressure.
She waves her hand in a circle in front of her face.
Behind all the face paint, behind all the whimsical word smithery, does she actually realize the position she’s being put in come Extreme Endurance?
She grabs the strap on the first glove and rips it off and drops the glove on the ground.
It’s a fitting name...isn’t it?
She rips off the other glove and drops it on the ground as well.
I mean, there’s not another match on this card that’s going to exhibit endurance more than the match for the Diamonds Title, a match you’ll be in...a match I’ll be in, a match that plenty of others will be in as well as this is indeed the opportunity of a lifetime.
She turns her head up to the camera again, a tilt in demeanor.
Do you sense that Eternity?
Do you feel the pressure of becoming the longest reigning champion in company history, male or female? Do you feel the pressure of every single girl in the locker room planting a target on your back?
DO YOU!?
There’s a slight snicker before she continues.
I think you do...in fact, I’m pretty sure of it.
Eternity, women will be coming out of the woodwork from all corners of the globe to get a shot at what you have. Women from the past, women from the present, and even those we’ve never seen before will challenge you for what they believe is a trophy over your shoulder.
I’m different.
I just want to celebrate an Anniversary in style...with the one I love...other than my husband. I want to celebrate with the one thing in this business that I want more than anything in the world.
You have it...I want it...it’s that simple.
She brings her hand up over her head, brushing stray hairs back behind her hairline. She then holds her hands out beside her, palms facing up as if she was holding something in each hand.
And what about all the rest invited to this little party?
I’ve seen names mention it like Pandora Freeman, and even the new girl whose name escapes me due to the fact that I don’t care what it is. I’ve talked to the reigning Shieldmaiden, longest of all time, and her sister, and both of them want a shot at the gold too.
All the guests come for you Eternity. They all come to watch you do one of two things...make history...or fail miserably.
She looks on confused for a moment, feigning the thoughts of onlookers and viewers.
Some will hear those words and say “Fail? She’s the longest reigning champion in Diamonds History.”, but it will indeed be a failure of some sort. Sure, she’ll have that little record, that long title reign...but she’ll come oh so close to perhaps the biggest history to be had in this company, and fail when the lights are indeed on the brightest.
She points toward the camera.
You will fail Eternity.
You’ll fail because I’ll be there to make sure it happens.
You took my baby from me...my everything. Sunday, at Extreme Endurance, I don’t care how many girls get in this match, I don’t care how brutal it gets. You took something from me Eternity, a longest reign of my own, a prize of my own...a family member of mine...at Extreme Endurance...I take it back...and I ruin your party...and make it my own.
I zoom the camera in on her face, the lovely, maniacal smile spreading slowly across it again before the feed cuts instantaneously.
The scene comes to life, in case you don’t remember, this is the guy that hates you all, Mike Laszlo behind the camera. You all suck...now pay attention to my wife...thank you very much.
