Over the last week, I've had to endure a lot of pain... go through a lot of frustration. Everybody throughout IWF seems to know what's going on between Angel and I --- it's safe to say that I didn't believe my life could have gotten much worse. Then, I lost my title to the woman who is going to march down to the ring this week as my partner, with my title; Amber Richards. First things first, I would like to make it clear that I'm not going to make any excuses as to what happened - it was a triple threat, and Amber saw an opportunity and capitalized on it.
Congratulations.
You may have not needed saving last week, but if you keep running your mouth the way you have been then there’s a likely chance that you’re going to need someone to save you in the coming weeks --- I’m proud of you. I don’t take back a single word that I said to you. You’re a terrific wrestler, and you’re the next step to our evolution; but I stand by my own words, too… I may have been defeated but I’m going to come back. Stronger. Faster. Better. There’s no doubt in my mind that we’re going to step into the ring with each other again, and whether it’s for the Ruby Championship or even further down the road and we’re fighting for the Diamond Championship --- or take it a step further, and we’re battling for ultimate supremacy… and I’m not going to let history repeat itself.
This week, we’re going to be partners. I have to keep one eye on you, Amber, because I know how you are; you’re full of steam with this impression that you defeated me once and you’re going to be able to do it again… you’re not only thinking about this match and walking out with your arm raised. You’re thinking more along the lines of trying to send a message. That’s why I know that you’re going to try to take a swing at me and attempt to put me out… that way you can stand with your head in the clouds, under the impression that you’ve finally ended the career of the great Tara Fenix.
It’s never going to happen.
I hope that I’m wrong and that you are willing to put your ego aside long enough for that bell to ring and for us to have our arms raised. Just to be on the safe side, though, I am going to be keeping an eye on you.
My primary focus is going to be going onto our very own Jessica Reed. I would like to congratulate you on your win and becoming the first woman to hold the Diamonds Championship --- no doubt in my mind that you’re going to be quite an obstacle. I don’t really want to put myself onto a pedestal, but I’m going to make it as clear as I possibly can; I was not part of the Heiress to the Throne. I know, I know. Everybody keeps saying that if I was as good as I say I am, IWF would’ve found a way to make an exception. One thing I can say that I respect about the management here is that nobody gets special treatment --- you get what you earned while inside the doors of IWF. Nothing you did before IWF matters. That’s why they didn’t make me an exception to the rule…
That’s why you were able to walk out of Lineage as the first Diamond Champion.
Again, I’m not meaning to put myself onto a pedestal… I know that you have to be good to get where you are which is why you’re going to be my primary focus.
As far as Kathy Conway goes, she’s someone who I’m going to do something strange for… The entire world, everybody who knows me, knows that I do not like her husband. She went far enough to point out my own history for you and acknowledge that I used to be in an organization that allowed me to wrestle against men. I’m fine with everything she mentioned. Regardless of what I have said about Jake Conway from the past, when I knew him, he was exactly how I thought of him --- over the years, he has actually impressed me and that’s why I know that when I step into the ring with his wife, if she learned even a little bit from him… she’s going to be quite a competitor.
We are the two veterans in the ring, Kathy. Both of us have been around the block more than once… but there’s something else that stands out that I know the other two have to see. They are newer to the ring than us and they are the two that are wearing the belts…
There is one thought that’s racing through my mind when we go down to the ring. That one thing is that I want to win. I want you and I to show these two girls that we may be a couple years older than them, but we are still very capable of hanging with the best that the IWF has to offer.
