Sources inside the Imperial Wrestling Federation confirmed this morning that during the last night's match for the IWF Women's World Championship, challenger Astrid Hall suffered an injury to her collarbone. While sources would not comment on the severity of the injury or whether the collarbone was simply cracked or fully broken, it has been confirmed that this injury will remove any chances for Astrid Hall to participate in the upcoming Pay Per View, Night of the Immortals. On behalf of her client, Emma Danielson released the following statement:
Emma Danielson: Of course Astrid is disappointed that she'll be missing Night of the Immortals, it's an event she's been looking forward to since last year. However, despite the injury, she doesn't hold any ill-will towards those responsible. She congratulates Brooklyn Madrox on beating her clean, and hopes to take her time away from the ring as an opportunity to recover both physically and emotionally. She asked me to relay her apologies to her fans for letting them down, but promises that her journey isn't over and that, one day, she'll reach the highest place of her division. That's all I have to say on that, thank you for your time.
While sources were uncertain how long exactly Astrid would be medically unable to compete, Astrid's history of quick recovery would indicate that she'll likely be back in the ring shortly after Night of the Immortals. We wish her luck on her recovery.
