{The introductory video montage for Game On plays, showing numerous highlights from the most recent episode IWF: Sacrifice! The logo for Game On slowly overtakes the camera, as the scene shifts to the studios where Seth Evans is already standing in front of the camera with his hands folded together, and a smile on his face; the same background with the better seating, the two recliners with the table between them. Seth unfolds his hands, keeping his elbows down but his forearms and fingers outstretched toward the camera.}
Seth Evans: Welcome gamers, fans, and enthusiasts! Welcome back to Game On! And please! PLEASE! Let me take a moment to thank… {Seth gestures to the camera, as if indicating all the viewers.} … all of you! For tuning in every week, and having enjoyed the show. I am trying to improve the show each week, so your feedback is always welcome! You can find us on Twitter, Reddit, and even have a Discord open to the public with channels in place to allow suggestions to be presented, and I will… personally… check all those suggestions. Thank you!
HERE! On week three of Game On, we do have a very special guest… a man that has been with the IWF for a long time. A dedicated professional. One of the best that I believe the IWF has to offer, and the brand new IWF Men’s World Champion: WARREN KANE! We’re going to find out his insight on… maybe… who would he want to face? Who’s his pick to win the Roulette?
As far as new things this week… I’m sorry, but I do not have anything new! But we still do have a lot, so we are first going to go with…
PREDICTION RESULTS!
Weekly:
7-3
That’s better! That’s a lot better! Last week, I was what? 3-4? This week, I bounced back, and in a major way!
Overall:
10-7.
Not a bad overall, I’d say, considering my first week was… a disaster...
Next up is going to be our Weekly Top 5, folks, and let me tell you… it was a stacked card! Roberto Verona has seen fit with the recent upgrades to the roster to introduce a new show… available live via YouTube AND Twitch… Before The Sacrifice! We saw some surprises; we saw some people continuing to dominate! We had Ulf continuing in the IWF TV Gauntlet that takes place each week until he loses the championship, or reaches the end, and he is now just going on week three! But… who stood out this week? Let’s start!
Weekly Top 5:
Five:
ALMIR SAYED: One of the ones that gave me the upset, although after seeing what I saw earlier in the night, I’m glad that Almir Sayed was able to pull out the victory. Almir Sayed is getting pretty hot lately, and I think that it’s something Ulf may need to keep an eye on… if he can get past Thunderchild this week… Almir Sayed has the potential to pull an upset over Ulf, and win the IWF World Television Championship.
Four:
XAVIER ZION: As I said… it pains me… to have to put this man on the list because of what happened at Danger Zone, but there is simply no denying him this spot. There is no denying that he deserves this spot with a victory over
Three:
AMBER COOKE: In what was one of our tougher competitions part of Before the Sacrifice, Amber Cooke managed to pull this one out and keep the cold streak alive for Kate Steele! But that’s not to say Kate Steele didn’t do what she could! It was no easy feat, but Amber Cooke takes the victory, and the number three spot.
Two:
GABRIELA LUNA: What was definitely one of the best matches of the night! If you did not have the opportunity to watch the replay is available on YouTube, and Twitch, and I hope that you will do just that… Gabriela Luna walked out with a hard fought victory! Gabriela Luna showed everyone what she is capable of with that match, and I think she has a lot more to show. Could we see her moving up through the division soon?
One:
ULF HEDNIR: The defending IWF World Television Champion! This marks TWO successful defenses, and his third fight is next week. Ulf definitely did earn the number one spot this week because… he’s hurting. There is no way that he walked into the ring with Nick Knight at one-hundred percent, but he still laid as much as he had to in the ring to get the job done, and earn his second title defense. So long as he’s defending that champion… he may even be defending the number one spot of the Weekly Top 5 for quite a while.
All in all: Sacrifice was astounding! The larger card makes it much harder for me to have to choose five, because there were so many people that… that deserved to be mentioned. So many people that I would have loved to mention! People are working hard, and they are not making this easy for me each week. But now… who clutched it? WHO. GOT. CLUTCH! PLAY! OF THE WEEK?!
There were a number of good interactions this week… a week, filled with action!
Almir strikes fast by poking Winter in the eye with a thumb. That creates just enough of an opening for Sayed to connect with his Ripcord Clothesline! Almir shoots into a fast cover and the official slides into position!
Where things looked like they were coming to a close, but we, as professionals, should remember that all it takes is three seconds! All it takes is one! Big! Move!
{Caroline goes for a strike but Jess counters with a Jumping High Kick, with a Duckface and a LOLIDROP…}
To shift the momentum. To give us the victory. Or… just to send a message…
{...Samira went for a knee stomp but Luna grabbed the leg and hit a spinning heel kick! Luna quickly connected with an Aerial Spike.}
Gamers… only one of them can walk out with the Clutch Play of the Week. And this week… it is…
{Ulf rolls all the way onto his stomach and starts to push himself back to his feet. Knight draws in a deep breath and then drags Ulf up and shoves him into the corner. Knight reaches in and tries to choke Ulf, finally gaining some leverage back despite the fans still trying to rally Ulf… the crowd does quiet down a bit, as it seems their cheers fell on deaf ears. Knight swings in for a standing clothesline… Ulf ducks under his arm and shoves Knight to the corner; Ulf pins his body against his and begins driving alternating elbows back to Knight who has nowhere to go to defend himself! After several elbows, Knight is dazed in the corner; Ulf charges to the opposite corner and waits momentarily… Ulf charges against Knight and lands a Stinger Splash! Ulf grabs his arm, and sends Knight to the opposite corner. Ulf waits a moment for Knight to be set… and charges in for a second Stinger Splash! Knight stumbles out of the corner, as Ulf charges for the ropes… Ulf comes back, and connects with The Thor Punch!}
Congratulations, Ulf Hednir! Coming in strong with not only the number one spot of the Weekly Top 5, but also taking the Clutch Play of the Week!
The next part of the agenda is to determine… MATCH OF THE WEEK. There were a lot of doozies out there! Nick Knight and Ulf Hednir fought it out to the end, but at the end… Ulf Hednir prevailed. One big surprise for all of us: KATE STEELE! For those of you who did catch it on Before The Sacrifice, those two put on one hell of a match! Gregor Winter and Almir Sayed. Nick Danger and Xavier Zion! Samira Hamilton and Gabriela Luna! There were numerous matches that could have potentially made match of the week, and as always… if you were on the losing end of this match… please, please, please, take it with a grain of salt! There is no shame in this loss, because I choose what I consider to be match of the week based on how well you two mesh! How close the contest was! So… who did that? Without further ado…
IWF TELEVISON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Ulf Hednir vs Nick Knight
Reasoning: There were a few other matches that I would like to give a shoutout to… Gabriela Luna and Samira Hamilton. Kate Steele and Amber Cooke. There were two reasons I had to choose this match as the match of the week: title match… the most recent former champion taking on the defending champion, and the back and forth action! Nick Knight seemed to have Ulf’s number for quite a bit of the match, but Ulf managed to gather his wits and walk out with the belt. But that’s not to say that Knight didn’t give it his all! He almost had him! He was moments away! But Ulf… is one tough son of a bitch.
With everything that has happened… people who showed up… whether they were there just to keep their name out there, or to compete in a match, the Power 10 I will say has shifted! Did someone get removed? Did someone move up? Did someone go lower? We’re about to find out! Not to mention! There is another factor that is going to play into effect for the Power 10: ROULETTE! The Roulette is coming up this month which means that a lot of people are out there running their mouths to say WHY they are going to be the ones winning the Roulette… and I do have to take those into account.
NICK DANGER: I have to give credit where credit is due: Nick Danger showed up this week and got a near fall against Xavier Zion, who has been hot since he first signed his contract, and Nick Danger is just looking to bounce back! He enters in at the number ten spot for the first time since the Power 10 started, and if he can just keep himself on the radar… I see him moving up.
GODS & MONSTERS: Gods & Monsters moved up one spot this week because of their encounter with The Powers That Be during their match! Gods & Monsters chose not to sit on the sidelines and wait for this match to occur… rather, they took the fight to the IWF World Tag Team Champions! Are they going to be able to move up next week? Retain their position? Or move down, or even off the list?
ALMIR SAYED: Almir Sayed is still looking to gain some momentum moving forward if Ulf Hednir can manage to retain the IWF World Television Championship against Evan “Thunderchild” Albrecht next week; that would put Almir Sayed as the number one contender, and battling him the Sacrifice before the pay-per-view, and gives him an opportunity to even walk in as the champion! Almir Sayed earned a key victory over Gregor Winter, and he just needs to keep this rolling.
JC KEETON: Now… JC Keeton did not have a match this week, but that’s not what this is about, alright? JC Keeton kept eyes on him by opening up Sacrifice by letting the world know where his focus is going… he accepted the defeat, but he is keeping his eyes on the next prize and that is going to the Roulette which is coming up this month! A bit cocky? Sure. But that’s who he is. Where have you been if you haven’t noticed? JC Keeton knows what he’s capable of doing, and the world is still on notice with this young man.
GABRIELA LUNA: Gabriela Luna enters hot on the Power 10 list this week after her match with Samira Hamilton! The two went back and forth on Before The Sacrifice, in what was a contest for match of the week, and she ended up on top! If Gabriela keeps that momentum going, we could see her climb… we could see her face Tara?
XAVIER ZION: This man has consistently been showing up on the Weekly Top 5, and now the Power 10, and he climbs up a few spots with his match this week against Nick Danger! The two went back and forth, but it’s hard to catch this guy off guard… Xavier Zion is finally going to take a week off this week, but he’s still going to be out there probably hoping that Ulf retains because coming up at the pay-per-view… Xavier Zion will have his shot, if Ulf can retain.
CALS JACOBSEN: Another champion sharing some words on winning the IWF Imperial Diamond Championship, and winning it off of Rowan? That is enough to keep your fire burning for a couple weeks! I hope to see Cals step into the ring soon to see Cals go further up the rankings, but either way… it’s gonna take a while for Cals to cool off this list.
TARA FENIX: Tara did have quite a few words to share with the IWF! To Angel! She challenged him… again… some strong words came from the IWF Women’s World Champion, but she is putting the entire division on notice by saying that the blood is on Angel’s hands. So what does that mean? Is Caroline Machado in trouble this week?
WARREN KANE: The special guest for this week, and the IWF Men’s World Champion! He had a few words to share with the IWF universe, but words that meant the most… he’s also shown to be willing to give the rematch to James Gilmore over what happened at Danger Zone. We are going to hear more from Warren Kane tonight.
ULF HEDNIR: I had to give the number one spot of the Power 10 this week to Ulf Hednir! Out of all of the champions in IWF, he was the only man to walk out and defend his championship… and not only that, he also walked out with his second consecutive defense! This is something that we do need to admire, because the IWF World Television Championship has constantly changed hands after one successful defense… before Ulf, Warren Kane, the IWF Men’s World Champion, was the only man to successfully defend the belt twice! If Ulf retains this week, he sets a new record.
HONORABLE MENTIONS: The Dark Triad, Samira Hamilton, Kate Steele, Amber Cooke
Last week, our Game Genie feature was… Joe Everyman… the man has not answered our prayers, and that’s fine. If he’s happy with retirement, we are happy for him! The door is open, though, Joe. The door is open.
GAME GENIE: WHO DO WE WISH BACK?
ADAM KNITE: Adam Knite was the number two rated superstar from New Championship Wrestling, and a member of their Hall of Fame. He literally held every single championship that nCw had to offer! So… the question is there… Why did he not make the jump? Why did he not become one of the first people to sign to the Imperial Wrestling Federation to possibly even continue a reign? He has had a few surprise entrants at the Roulette, so who knows? Maybe we’ll see him pop up this month! But… hopefully… we will get him to stay.
Next up is probably what everybody loves the most… besides the Power 10… there’s no denying, we all have our favorite bits! That’s okay! Did you capture my attention? Did you make me a believer? It’s time for some of you to find out as I pick who I think is going to win at next week’s Sacrifice!
Predictions:
SINGLES MATCH
“Lady Dream” Jenny Famularo vs Mimi Simpson
My prediction is… “LADY DREAM” JENNY FAMULARO.
Reasoning: I mean, I have no real reasoning… just a feeling, you know? But let me go ahead and say that Jenny Famularo has recently re-signed with the IWF, so I think that excitement for her is there! She wants to show up! She wants to win! I think that excitement is going to be enough to gather her a win this week.
SINGLES MATCH
Abigail vs Zelda Simpson
My prediction is… ABIGAIL.
Reasoning: Abigail has only just lost the Women’s World Championship, and so there is no denying her ability… it could still be argued that she is the second, or third, best wrestler contending on the Diamond Division. I think that she is going to look to bounce back with a victory over Zelda Simpson.
SINGLES MATCH
Vivienne Rodgers vs Kai Sachiko
My prediction is… VIVIENNE RODGERS.
Reasoning: Another returning entrant to the IWF women’s division, and making it even stronger! Vivienne did have a positive and kind message for Kai, which I admire, but … she said it herself. Roberto Verona checked in on her during her away time: you do not return and lose if the man, himself, is checking in on you! That’s your quickest way to have a contract ripped up. Vivienne isn’t going to let everyone down on her return.
SINGLES MATCH
Nick Danger vs Tytus Rost
My prediction is… NICK DANGER.
Reasoning: Nick Danger has been getting himself out there, and being quite vocal with wanting to get onto a winning track. Tytus Rost… as much as I love that big guy, and his manager, he has not said a damn word in weeks, and I think that it is only hurting him. I hope, I hope, that he will show up this week with something to say. But unless he does, I cannot see him walking away with this victory. So Nick Danger… it’s time to show up.
SINGLES MATCH
Tara Fenix vs Caroline Machado
My prediction is… TARA FENIX.
Reasoning: She is the IWF Women’s World Champion! This is a non-title match, but one thing that is especially important is what happened this last week on Sacrifice? Tara said that the blood would be on Angel’s hands. Tara doesn’t care whether she’s defending the belt or not, she is simply looking to hurt somebody! I’ve said it before, and she has seemed to be able to prove herself quite capable of multitasking… so… I think she’s going to hurt Caroline, and hurt her badly, sending a message to Angel in the process as well as the rest of the division. She is their champion.
SINGLES MATCH
JC Keeton vs Kelvin Rivers
My prediction is… JC KEETON.
Reasoning: There was a lot of promise with Kelvin Rivers when he first signed his contract, and I’m certain that people are wanting to see him come back to give JC Keeton a fight. A damn good fight! I know that Kelvin Rivers is fully capable of doing just that, but that’s been the problem… he just hasn’t given a damn. He hasn’t cared. On the other hand, JC Keeton has impressed management, and while he did lose to Ulf Hednir, it was a tough, tough fight! And now JC Keeton had an extra week of rest. So I think that he’s rested well enough, he’s going to take this victory. I just hope Kelvin can make it close.
TAG TEAM MATCH
Violent Tendencies vs The Chosen Elite
My prediction is… VIOLENT TENDENCIES.
Reasoning: There is no denying that Violent Tendencies works well as a team. The Chosen Elite have pulled a few upset victories as of late, but I don’t think that this is going to be the week for them.
SINGLES MATCH
Virgina Stepanov vs Samira Hamilton
My prediction is… VIRGINIA STEPANOV.
Reasoning: It’s really the same reason that Abigail is being picked to win! Virginia is tough. Virginia is looking to bounce back after she failed to win the IWF Women’s World Championship, and what better match than against Samira Hamilton? Virginia is going to make it clear that she’s still in the hunt, and could be a viable threat to Tara.
SIX MAN TAG MATCH
The Disciples + Gregor Winters vs Team Diversity Hire (Nate, Nick and Pax)
My prediction is… TEAM DIVERSITY HIRE.
Reasoning: After what happened between Mandi and The Church of Crosse, I just cannot bring myself to think of a logical reasoning to vote for them… I want to see Team Diversity Hire kick their ass up and down the ring until they are begging for mercy, and then when they ask Team Diversity Hire to show that mercy: I hope they are declined! Beat them, Team Diversity Hire! Beat them to a bloody pulp!
IWF WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Evan Albrecht vs Ulf Hednir(c)
My prediction is… ULF HEDNIR.
Reasoning: Evan Albrecht has arguably given Ulf some of his toughest competition since Ulf came back. This is, technically, going to be their third fight… but we can’t really call it a trilogy just yet, can we? Nick Knight was the middle man in their second encounter where Ulf won the IWF World Television Championship. But… Thunderchild is good. Evan “Thunderchild” Albrecht is probably one of the hottest, but underrated, superstars that the IWF currently has on the roster. Ulf has not had as much time to rest since his match with JC Keeton, and after fighting Nick Knight, he is still trying to recuperate. If Thunderchild keeps the offense strong, he’s got a chance, but I just don’t see him keeping it rolling the entire time enough to keep Ulf down. Ulf could become the first defending TV Champion to have three successful defenses.
Seth Evans: Here we go! The man does not need an introduction, but I’m going to go ahead and give one anyway. He is a man that has won almost every championship that the IWF has to offer, and now sits high atop the throne with the IWF World Championship around his waist! And… I don’t think he’s going to want to let it go! GAMERS! VIEWERS! Without further ado… YOUR World Champion! WARREN! KANE!
{Seth gestures for the “enter stage left”, and‘New Divide’ by Linkin Park plays with flashing of light and Warren Kane walks down to his seat wearing a casual Scarlet Witch t-shirt and jeans.}
Seth Evans: Welcome to Game On, Warren! And congratulations on your victory at Danger Zone. It has been a long time coming for you, right?
Warren Kane: It feels like it’s been ages. I’ve worked hard to get this title and I’m honored to have finally earned it.
Seth Evans: Now… first things first… Playstation or Xbox? Or PC? Or even Switch?
Warren Kane: I guess I would say likely Switch? I spend a lot of time on the go and that’s probably the system I use the most.
Seth Evans: That’s not one that you hear a lot, but that’s not to say that Nintendo and the Switch specifically do not make an amazing console. Classics like The Legend of Zelda, Mario, Super Smash Bros -- that was the first game I played competitively. Melee. And I may have… lost… a few friendships over Mario Party back in the day. What kind of games do you like to play?
Warren Kane: I’ve been playing Hades, Diablo 3, Pokémon and some Minecraft. I mostly play games I can just kind of fall into, you know?
Seth Evans: I must admit I’ve yet to play that first game you mention, but I am a fan of the other three. Just able to wind down with it. Have you heard too much about Diablo 4? Are you as excited for that as I am?
Warren Kane: Lilith as the villain sounds amazing to me! I’ve probably watched the teaser a million times by this point.
Seth Evans: I have one of those $500 statues of Lilith that Blizzard was offering in my gameroom at home, and… whew! Blows me away every time! But we should turn this conversation into some of the wrestling… so… besides the World Championship, which title has meant the most to you?
Warren Kane: Being the first person to hold the Television Championship actually meant a lot to me. Being the first to have it and the great matches leading up to when I lost the belt? I will always remember that with pride.
Seth Evans: One thing that stands out to me about your run as Television Champion is you were the FIRST and ONLY champion to have two successful title defenses. However, Ulf has now tied it up... and is defending it next week. Are you going to cheer him on for three title defenses, or hope that he chokes? Or is any of his run a concern of yours?
{Warren chuckles}
Warren Kane: I’ll be cheering Ulf on. I’ll miss being the one and only, not going to deny that. But being the first is still an achievement.
Seth Evans: Records are meant to be broken. All you can do is hope to break your own on the way, and I’m certain he would appreciate that support from the first TV Champion! But now... we have the Roulette coming up. Any thoughts about people participating? Who stands out to you as a hopeful? Who do you hope to see win just to face them at Night of the Immortals?
Warren Kane: It’s a tough call. I mean, I could see a shock moment, anyone can come out in top. It’s a surprise every year. Part of me wants to see Gilmore win it so we can have a more honest match but... I’ll welcome whoever wins.
Seth Evans: I don’t tweet as much as I probably should. Hosting this show and all... {Chuckles.} But one thing stood out to me, and so I just have to ask: are you worried Tara may make an attack at you for being a Kane? How would you handle that type of situation?
Warren Kane: I think she has justifiable reasons to hate my father. He was more often than not a terrible husband. I can’t imagine what he was like before Pandora and Astrid sanded off the rougher edges. If she comes for me because I’m a Kane? I’ll understand her feelings. But I’ll never fight a women. It’s not in my nature. I’d try to talk it out if I could.
Seth Evans: Well, we can only hope she put the Kane’s in the rear view mirror and left it at that. This next question is the elephant in the room that we must address, and please do not misunderstand me. Remember, I called the match to end in a draw! But watching from backstage… it looked like you were in trouble with Gilmore, but I’ve seen your valiant spirit, and you have pulled magic many, many times! When people are counting you out and think that the match is all but over… you kick out! You get up! You keep fighting! I do not doubt that you would have been able to do just that, but… y’know what? You weren’t given the opportunity. Let’s just take a look at the replay.
{ James is pumped up, Warren is starting to stand, James lines up his shot and Dean upper cuts Gilmore right between the legs! Dean then hops onto the apron and spins James around for CLIPPED WINGS ON THE APRON! }
Terri Morasco: NO!
Terri Morasco: NO!
Angel Blake: Yes…
Vasco Dias: Amazing!
{ Dean pushes James body into the ring, Warren didn’t see what happened. Dean hops down and backs away as Warren turns to see James down on the mat. Warren doesn’t think twice as he sees his opening. James is trying to get up now as Warren comes in fast and hard with a KIDD KICK!!! }
Seth Evans: Now, I know that Dean Harper loves you… and just wanted to help… but you wanted to do it on your own, and I believe you would have done it. It’s just… not… the way that you wanted it to be.
{Warren sighs, looking uncomfortable}
Warren Kane: That’s not how I wanted to win. Dean and I have had a bit of a fight over this. I could have handled it. I should have. I wish he hadn’t been involved. But I can’t change what happened. All I can do is offer James a rematch. And I did, on Sacrifice.
{Warren gives a small smile}
Warren Kane: I’m not my father. I don’t want to have the belt if I didn’t earn it on my own merits.
Seth Evans: I did hear you offer the challenge to James, and I’m certain he will take you up on that offer. May I offer my services to help? Special Guest Referee? Steel Cage? Hell in a Cell? We can figure something out to ensure that we keep people out… we can even pull a classic blunder and of a place that shall not be named and just suspend Dean above the ring in a cage.
Warren Kane: That might actually be nice.
{Warren laughs}
Warren Kane: A special guest or maybe a cage match might do the trick.
Seth Evans: You make the call, and I’ll see to it that it happens. Whether I have to petition it with Roberto Verona, or march down to that ring myself and start laying anybody out that tries to interfere. I’ve got your back!
{Seth smiled.}
Seth Evans: That is most of my questions… that I have for you… so I believe that it is time that we move on to some fan questions. One fan, DaChamp, asked: how does it feel to be World Champion?
Warren Kane: It’s thrilling. I wish it was under better circumstances.
Seth Evans: Man, you can’t let what’s out of your hands control your feelings on the matter. Anyways, another fan asked: if you could pick anyone, past or present, to have a title match with who would it be?
Warren Kane: honestly... I wish my dad was alive to see me with this championship. If a fight was the only way for that to happen? Yeah. Also it would be a great match.
Seth Evans: Father versus son is always a great encounter. Vader versus Luke? But you do have a message here from Hope Freeman Hall Kane, asking: when is Uncle Warren going to visit? And a “love you” from Pan.
Warren Kane: I’ll be over to visit as soon as I get the chance. Would never forget my younger half sibling. Love you too, stepmom.
Seth Evans: Now, here’s one from someone who chose to be anonymous… Is it hard being an out gay man in this business?
Warren Kane: It is. Women living women has always been something this business has accepted with out question. But the moment it’s two men? Yeah, there’s always a struggle. Lots of guys get uncomfortable with the idea. But things have gotten better and I hope it continues to be better for the future.
Seth Evans: If they get uncomfortable then that sounds more like it’s their problem. Nobody should have to hide who they are anymore, who they love, or anything of the sort. It’s nothing but shameful for those who are uncomfortable with it. Do you have any message you would like to share for those watching that may still be hiding who they are? Anyone who is afraid? Who thinks, or feels alone?
Warren Kane: It gets better. If your family won’t accept you consider me your family. I love and appreciate everyone even if they aren’t ready to be themselves.
Seth Evans: Well said. I just hope our viewers will listen to you, and know that none of them are alone, and none of them should ever feel ashamed for being themselves. Which... I suppose I could go to this next question. Kaneiac98 asks: why did you start going by your father’s last name?
Warren Kane: at the time it was mostly to get my father’s approval at the time. Seems silly to change back now.
Seth Evans: The next one we got in from Verona4President: how do you feel about Angel giving you and Dean his blessing?
Warren Kane: I’m...not entirely sure that’s what happened. But I guess it feels nice? If complicated morally.
Seth Evans: His blessing isn’t something easy to come by. And his history makes it hard to believe if he’s being real. Anyways... onto the next: SaferionSurfer asked: In your opinion, what happened between you and Jayson Matthews?
Warren Kane: I know the blame falls on me. I stopped reaching out. I retreated into myself while I was trying to recover from everything that happened... When he needed me most I disappeared and stopped taking anyone’s calls. I feel awful about that.
Seth Evans: I’m still trying to catch up with the Jayson story since I disappeared off the face of the map. But you have to look out for yourself first, right? Next question comes from JGL97: Congratulations on becoming World Champion! Do you have any reservations about potentially facing Dean Harper though, should he win the Roulette?
Warren Kane: I have a lot of reservations about facing Dean. He’s had my number every time we’ve been in the ring together. He’s also not above manipulating things in his favor. It’s worrying but I’m trying to stay focused on the goal.
Seth Evans: Wouldn’t it be great to finally get that big victory over him? I know, stay focused. Whoever gets out against you. But no part of you itching to get that win over him?
Warren Kane: I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t thought of what it would feel out to come out on top of him. To beat him in a even legit match? Yeah, I think about that a lot.
Seth Evans: It could very well happen. Here’s one that I hope is a tough one... it would be a tough one for me. But whew! LilQueen21 asked: Who would be on your IWF Mt. Rushmore of wrestling?
Warren Kane: Oh wow... that’s tough. Hmm. Well, are we talking skill or like personal admiration?
Seth Evans: Hmm... I would say to go based on skill? But let’s say both.
Warren Kane: on skill it would be Spike Kane, Andrew Jacobsen, Rowan and Eternity.
{Warren thinks a moment}
Warren Kane: if it’s who I admire most I think it would go Rob Diamond, Jess Reed, Shea O’Hara and Ace.
Seth Evans: I think between the two lists the only two people we agree on would be Andrew Jacobsen and Rob Diamond... {Chuckles.} The next question is from HeWhoWalksInGorilla: Hey Mamoru, gonna get kidnapped by a cult again anytime soon?
Warren Kane: ... That is an anime reference I was not expecting. But no, I’m not planning on being kidnapped again.
Seth Evans: They may get one hell of a fight now if they try. World Champion and all. The next question comes from GilmoreClub: Why should we trust you, and that the way you won the Title isn't some long con? This IS wrestling.
Warren Kane: I know it’s hard to trust me. I know I’ve done some bad things. I have been trying to regain everyone’s trust. I will continue to try.
Seth Evans: I think that another thing to keep in mind… none of us are innocent. Absolutely none of us. We’ve all done things that we aren’t proud of, but that’s not something that we can erase. It’s not something we can ignore. It’s something that we just grow, and move forward from. I’m just as guilty.
Warren Kane: That’s a good point. Thanks Seth.
Seth Evans: I cannot believe that I am going to ask this next question, but the fans ask… so the fans need to know. A question from Smitty4daWin: Is a hot dog a sandwich?
Warren Kane: I... uh... I guess?
Seth Evans: Yeah, that question just seemed… out of place… but after every weird one is also a good one, so here’s one from MediumKev: What do you feel is the single most important quality a World Champion can possess?
Warren Kane: Humility.
Seth Evans: I do like that answer. It’s a trait not all of us have until it’s beaten into us.
Warren Kane: I try to live up to my ideals and I want to do my best.
Seth Evans: I do believe that is all the time that I do have for today! So… Warren… thank you again for coming by the studio, and partaking in this interview. It has been quite insightful, inspiring, and fun just to be able to sit with you.
Warren Kane: Thank you for having me here. It was nice to be here.
Seth Evans: Thank you for all the gamers sitting at home for tuning in this week! Normally I would take to social media to let everybody vote on the next guest for the show, but I have reached out and have a special guest for next week… which! I will announce! On Sunday! On Twitter! Follow me at “Game On” to find out who it is! Until next week! GAME ON!
