We cut to Tiffany Jones, with a microphone in hand. She’s standing outside the Trainers’ Room backstage. She smiles.
Tiffany Jones: Ladies and Gentlemen, I’m standing by, hoping to get a word with Cyrus Daniels, who earlier this evening overcame tremendous odds when he beat four men in a Special Roulette Exhibition Gauntlet Match. In doing so, Cyrus Daniels now gets to pick his exact entry number in this year’s Roulette Match and I am hoping to bring you the exclusive on his choice in a few minutes.
Vivienne Rodgers is about to enter the Trainers’ Room, but is stopped by Tiffany. Vivienne’s face instantly tells us she has neither the time nor the patience for this unwelcome interruption. She was here for something far more important than giving an exclusive interview.
Tiffany Jones: Vivienne, if I may have a moment of your time. Do you care to comment on your…friendship with Shea O’Hara after what we saw tonight between you two. Are you still best friends, if so how does that affect your standing in The Murder? Also, is there any truth to the rumours that you have a grudge against Bucky Spencer and are at least partially responsible for what happened to him tonight? That you sent a warning for Abigail to reconsider her position against The Murder through Cyrus?
Vivienne seems almost offended by the insinuations and doesn’t dignify them with any sort of response, choosing instead to ignore Tiffany and go about her business. She enters the Trainers’ Room and we catch only a glimpse of Cyrus Daniels being checked on before the door closes behind Vivienne.
Tiffany takes a few moments to recompose herself and clear her throat, not expecting such an abrupt brush off from the usually much more personable Vivienne Rodgers.
Tiffany Jones: Uh…okay, that was rude…
We then see Madison Weatherby about to enter the Trainers’ Room, she regards Tiffany with a soft smile.
Tiffany Jones: Miss Weatherby, I’ve come to understand you are the legal representative of Mr Daniels and I -
Tiffany is abruptly cut off.
Madison Weatherby: Yes, I am. Is he here?
Tiffany Jones: He is, but I was wondering if you had any idea about his plans for the Roulette after his win here tonight?
Madison Weatherby: I’m sorry, who are you again?
Tiffany Jones: My name is Tiffany Jones…
Madison Weatherby: I see, well, Miss Jones, as it happens, that’s exactly what I’m here to find out myself. So I promise you, when I know something you’ll know something…
Madison enters the Trainers’ Room, once again leaving Tiffany without the answers she was looking for. Tiffany sighs.
Tiffany Jones: You know, I used to get much more respect around here.
Tiffany is left to wait.
We fade out, and then back in sometime later. Tiffany once again looks hopeful as Madison is the first to emerge from the Trainers’ Room, smiling.
Tiffany Jones: Well, what did he pick? I’m guessing number 30, to give himself the best possible chance at the very end, like most people in his position would if given the choice?
Madison Weatherby: Oh Miss Jones, how little you know. My client is not like most people. He does not need to put himself in the best position to have the best advantage. At nearly seven feet tall and a shade under 330 pounds, he is born and bred with every natural advantage. I mean who on the roster stands a chance against him physically? Spencer Spencer? Tytus Rost? I don’t think so, but still my client wishes to be challenged. He doesn’t just want to win, he wants to steal the spotlight, just like he did tonight from four home state heroes. He wants to fight, and that is why Mr Daniels has selected the 20th entry in this year’s Roulette. He’s a natural twenty, as the D&D nerds who make up a disturbingly large proportion of the pro wrestling fan base, might say.
Madison smiles.
Madison Weatherby: My client intends to show the world exactly why all of the final ten entries would have been wasted on The Spencers, no matter where they would have entered, had they won tonight. My client intends to dominate the home stretch of the biggest and most important Roulette in the history of this company and then go on to steal not only the biggest, brightest spotlight but also the most valuable prize in this company at Night of the Immortals, the World Championship…
Madison walks off, smug in her own right.
Tiffany Jones: I see, well, thanks for your time, I guess…
Tiffany rolls her eyes as we fade out.
