”Samurai”
----------------------------------------------------------
{ Before the opening scrawl of IWF: Lineage we see a samurai in blue-and-white traditional plate armor standing guard outside the babyface locker room. Walking up to him Maria Iniesta approaches tentatively to the samurai, only to be handed a note. }Maria Iniesta: (Reading from notes.) "He is here to defend the locker room from any and all assaults that happen before bell time. The man who paid for this samurai will reveal himself at a time and date of his choosing."
{ Maria looks at the man quizzically but he only motions for her to move on so that he can stand guard. Cue the opening scrawl of IWF: Lineage. }Terri Morasco: Here we go! this match could change the landscape of the Heir to the Throne!
Vasco Dias: It’ll change somethin’ alright, but let’s wait and see.
{All the competitors have started in the ring staring each other down Mason Looking Confidant, Gilmore Jawing with the crowd and the other competitors all of them circling before we get a bell ring and everything explodes into action, Brooks on Gilmore , Cutler On Tolly and Williams making a BeeLine of St Croix who hasn’t moved Williams dances bac k to throw a punch before being caught by ST Croix who quickly disposes of Williams with a DISHONOURABLE DISCHARGE.}Terri Morasco: An early exit for Todd Williams in an emphatic showing form St. Croix!
Vasco Dias: Hello , and good bye!
{Tolly and Cuter are exchanging Blows even as St Croix wisely crouches down to rest up, Gilmore is getting into the thick of it with Brooks, Gilmore ducks a wild punch even as Toll snaps Dre cutler through Over the top rope to the apron , Dre holds on but Tolly ducks under a punch to hit the HAIL TO THE CHIEF kick sending Dre to the floor whilst at the same time Brooks charges after Gilmore who in moment of divine inspiration or madness, leaps between the top and middle rope into an innovative low bridge, Brooks manages to stall himself so he dangles over the top rope a moment as Gill more brings up both knees making Brooks turn around as he’s stunned Gilmore skins the cat and hits a variant of his Filibuster sending Brooks to the outside as he rolls back in and the three remaining stars now start to circle}Terri Morasco: What a flurry of activity! And Did Gilmore Eliminate…
Vasco Diaz: Shhhh Child! Else he’ll come for you!
Terri Morasco: What ..are you talking about?!
{Tolly charges up to St Croix who takes a stance instantly as he moves meeting the Illinois man with a fore arm before Gilmore joins in with a boot, as Gilmore and Tolly start to catch blows and deliver them back to St Croix, eventually numbers start to take over before the two of them start to jaw and to each other and Tolly shoves Gilmore out the way to start trying to pick Mason up, Mason pulls Tolly into the turn buckle with a blistering speed of motion and stands up to explode towards Gilmore who performs a very quick drop toe hold on St. Croix before Gillmore duck s under a Tolly Clothesline to hit the Executive Order!}Terri Morasco: Gillmore is…Looking really strong
Vasco Diaz: Yeah I’m starting to worry that his Patroitism will Burst from his chest!
{Gillmore picks up Tolly and aims for a rope quickly tossing Tolly over the top .. But Tolly hangs on, climbing back in before almost tripping over the hands of Lindsey Grawn who takes a step back as Mason St Croix lariats him over the top and then turns on Gilmore with a righteous fury, dropping him with a quick lariat, then a Back elbow and a huge Body slam! }
Terri Morasco: Uh Oh, St.Croix is starting to build up steam, looks like his Promise is exactly that.!
Vasco Diaz: How UnAmerican of him!
{
Mason rolls a shoulder to Pick up John in the start-up for the Battle Cry! As he spins Gilmore out He pushes himself off the Veteran to land on his feet , staggering backwards to glare at Mason who starts to Advance Grawn shouts and screams her disapproval as Gilmore backs up to the ropes lowering his stance before looping both arms over the top rope to Drop to the floor!}Terri Morasco: Discretion is the better part of valour it seems
Vasco Diaz: It’s a Tactical withdrawal, he has him right where he wants him!
{Mason takes a moment to blink before starting to advance towards Gilmore anyway and Gil more starts to move towards the exit as he jaws at Mason and throws his arms up like the cubs winning the Pennant , Mason keep s advancing before the ref f pulls him back to raise his hand and Mason nods a bit acknowledging the crowd and his somewhat unorthodox victory}
Alison Valance: “HERE IS YOUR WINNER…MASON ST.CROOOOOOOOOOOIIIIIIIIIIXX”

”Another Signing”
----------------------------------------------------------
Terri Morasco: It’s been a fantastic night so far here at IWF Lineage. And we’ve still got a long way to go.
Vasco Dias: I can’t wait, Terri. Seriously, if you’re watching at home, go call your friends and tell them to get their money down on the show. If you’re not watching the IWF tonight, right now, then you’re an idiot. Tell them that from me.
{The camera pans slowly around the front row of the audience, fan after fan cheering wildly, mugging for the camera and waving their signs in the lens’ direction. Slowly into shot an incredibly sharp dressed man appears. Expensive suit, personalized silk tie, designer shades protruding from the breast pocket. The full works. The camera lingers as the image is projected onto the arena’s giant screens. The usual hum of the crowd during the lull between matches raises a few notches as the smarter members of the audience recognize who it is.}Terri Morasco: Is that Chris Card?
Vasco Dias: What is he doing here?
{Chris Card, for it is he, notices that the camera has spotted him and cracks a small smile that conveys self confidence and a small amount of recognition towards the pop he has received. Card slides a customised iPhone out of his pocket and looks down towards it, casually tapping away at the screen as the camera moves away from the shot.}Terri Morasco: It seems like the IWF is attracting interest from some of professional wrestling’s top free agents.
Vasco Dias: With a show like tonight’s, I am not at all surprised. Who wouldn’t want to be here?
Terri Morasco: Speaking of which, back to the action…
{ “We Can't Stop” by Trust the Medic begins to play and Lizzy Dalmon makes his way to the ring, her brother Landon following close behind. The fans boo her as she makes her way to the ring. Halfway there she stops and poses so that people can take a picture of her. When she gets to the ring she climbs the steps and enters. Once in the ring she continues to pose for more pictures. }Terri Morasco: Here we go my friends! Whoever wins this triple threat match will get a Shieldmaiden opportunity at the next Open Fight Night.
Vasco Dias: Hooo...WHEEEEE!!! Lizzy's lookin' fine, ain't she?!
Terri Morasco: Let's not start this again...
{ Monster by Paramore begins to blare all across the sound system and as it does Kate Steele along with her husband Todd Warren begins to emerge from the back curtain. Kate has a huge smile on her face as she stares at the roaring crowd who are all cheering her on. She begins to sprint down the aisle as she claps the hands of outstretched fans. }Vasco Dias: Now Kate, on the other hand? I gotta think she's got the upper hand in this one! I mean...nobody can sing as good as she can!
{ Kate finally makes it to the ring and she quickly runs up the ring steps as she grabs the turnbuckle as hard as she can. She immediately leap frogs over the ropes and bounces about before she points at the crowd cheering her on. She closes her eyes placing a single finger over her lips offering the Shhhh sound which all the fans follow in. She takes her place in the corner afterwards waiting for the match to begin. }Terri Morasco: I dunno what Fiona's gonna say about that one, though! In my opinion, Kate Steele bit off more than she can chew!
{ The lights go out, and we see a combination of eerie green lighting and fog fill the entire arena. Suddenly, a dancer, clad in green, walks onto the stage and performs a tap dance routine to an original Celtic piece, stopping to look at herself in front of a giant mirror--which projects an image of a very young Fiona McFly, aged seven, standing in front of a proud Royal Navy sailor as the first excerpt from the final tweet given by famed actor Leonard Nimoy is shown on the big screen above. }"A life is like a garden..."
{ As the music increases in intensity, a second dancer, sporting a silver uniform, performs a slightly longer version of the same tap dance routine until stopping to look at the mirror--which then projects Fiona as a preteen, posing with her first go-kart racing trophy she'd won in the summer of 1994 at the age of 12. The second excerpt from the "Star Trek" legend's tweet is shown as the photo in the mirror fades into nothingness... }"Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved..."
{ A third dancer, wearing a gold uniform, walks onto the stage to join the other two in a frenzied "Lord of the Dance"-style routine as the music reaches its crescendo. At this point, all three dancers stop to look at the mirror once again--this time, it projects an image of Fiona sporting blonde hair, wearing her old University of Wisconsin, followed by a photo of her beating up on Ana Valentine, her first IWF opponent, as the final except for Nimoy's tweet is displayed. }"...except in memory."
{ As the dancers begin their final tap dance, the four different photographs, all black-and-white, fade in and out as the tune reaches its climax before coming to a stop. The trip walks over to the end of the stage to grab a giant mallet; as a group, they carry the object over and, with all their combined strength, aim it directly at the glass, which shatters into pieces. At this moment, the Dropkick Murphys' "I'm Shipping Up to Boston" begins to play as Fiona McFly, with a gold-hued whip in hand, leaps through the busted mirror, prompting pyrotechnics to go off as a shower of confetti rains down from the ceiling. With the dancers tapping to her entrance theme, Fiona smiles lovingly before joining the dancers for a routine of her own before walking down to the ring, hugging fans along the way as the lights come back on. Before stepping into the ring, Fiona gives the whip to a lucky soul as a souvenir. }Terri Morasco: Ya know, I HAVE to say it...Fiona ramps it up for big-time pay-per-view events like Lineage! And she's lookin' great here tonight!
Vasco Dias: Pfffft...she'll blow it. She always does...
{ We get a closer inspection of Fiona's right shoulder, which bears an apple-shaped tattoo with the words "MISS KIMBLE" inscribed below it, a tribute to the beloved former Arlington, Texas teacher and principal who passed away a little over a week ago. }[DING!]
{ At the sound of the bell, the dude in stripes points to Lizzy Dalmon's brother Landon at ringside and gives him the old referee's ejection signal--which eliminates any bullshit that might take place during the match itself! We start the match with all three ladies staring at each other for a moment, taking in the Cologne, Germany fanbase as lights from cell phone cameras go off from all sides. Whilst Kate Steele is focused primarily on Fiona McFly, Lizzy Dalmon pounces on the UK punk singer by kneeing her in the back! The Northern Irishwoman, parking herself in a corner and crouching, watches with some amusement as Lizzy puts the knees to Kate's head in the opposite side before sending the latter for the ride. Kate bounces off the ropes and is met head-on with a springboard tornado headscissors maneuver that scores a two-count. Lizzy grits her teeth before pulling Kate up by the hair and sends her into the corner where Fiona is located--big mistake! Fiona bounds from the buckles, spearing the piss out of Kate Steele, who rolls out of the ring to catch her breath as McFly sets her sights on Dalmon! }Vasco Dias: YEEEOOOWWWW!!!!!
Terri Morasco: Fiona trucked Kate BIG-TIME with that spear!
Vasco Dias: Hate to say it, but I don't think she's here to play nice...
{ Fiona, brimming with a fire not seen in quite awhile, pounces on the less experienced Lizzy with a scoop slam, holding onto the left arm and cinching in an armbar. The zebra doesn't have to worry about asking Lizzzy if she wants to quit as she manages to squirm out of the hold and face McFly, who tosses her back down to the mat with a deep armdrag takedown, followed by a second and then a third. Holding onto her opponent's limb, Fiona quickly switches to a hammerlock before creating a takedown out of it; grinning slightly, Fiona picks Lizzy up and dumps her to the deck with a high-arcing belly-to-back suplex, bridging into a pin that scores the ex-Badger a count of two. She turns her head for a moment, locking eyes on Kate Steele as she hits the ring running and takes Fiona down with a hard clothesline. }Vasco Dias: Ahhh...here we go! HERE WE GO!!!
Terri Morasco: Kate Steele is goin' after Fiona McFly, much like she did at Bloody Assizes!
{ As Lizzy rolls out of the ring for a respite, Kate immediately goes to work on Fiona, renewing their month-long rivalry program with a bang. Using her martial arts to its fullest potential, Kate swiftly kicks Fiona hard in the ribs before shooting her into the ropes; McFly bounces off the strands and gets plastered by a spinning heel kick for her troubles. With a cocky smirk on her kisser, the one-time-former Shieldmaiden continues the attack, hitting Fiona with a hard tiger suplex before leaping off the second rope, connecting with a split-legged moonsault that gets Kate a count of two as well. Kate stands up and blows a kiss to the crowd, pointing at the downed Fiona McFly as the gallery begins their derisive FIFA-style whistling. }Terri Morasco: 'C'mon Kate! Have some respect for those who've passed on!
Vasco Dias: She's just havin' fun out there, that's all.
Terri Morasco: PFFFFFT! You call mocking Fiona's beloved mentor fun?! GIMME A BREAK!!
{ Indeed, the fans don't appreciate the notion that Kate Steele is mocking Fiona and her husband Jack's departed mentor and friend, Regina Kimble. Yet Kate doesn't see Lizzy springing off the third turnbuckle, hitting the Berkshire native with a top rope tornado DDT! Lizzy, sensing victory, follows up on Kate with her trademark Plastic Surgery codebreaker maneuver before going for the pin... }1...!
2...!!
Terri Morasco: Fiona makes the save!
{ Fiona, reacting quickly, busts up the three-count, knocking Lizzy down from behind with her own trademark move, her "Challenge" sliding football tackle, rolling her opponent backwards into a pinning combination, hooking the leg in the process. }1...!
2...!!
Vasco Dias: But so does Kate!
Terri Morasco: Who wants to win this match more?
{ But Kate breaks up the ref's count at the last split second, planting Fiona with her trademark float-over DDT! McFly's head is spiked to the mat as Steele goes for the cover... }1...!
2...!!
THREEEE--AWWWWWW....
{ Kate stands up pissed! She starts barking at the official, who calmly holds up the dreaded two fingers! Seeing Lizzy Dalmon climb up to the top rope and playing to the crowd, Kate grabs Fiona by the arms and holds her into position, waiting for the former to make the first move... }Vasco Dias: Uh-oh!
Terri Morasco: Whoever takes the brunt of what Lizzy has in mind, this match is gonna be over and fast!
{ Indeed, Fiona ducks out of the way as Lizzy flat-out PLASTERS Kate Steele with a missile dropkick, sending the punk rocker to the outside arena floor! Fiona seizes the opportunity at this juncture and places Lizzy, with deadly swiftness and precision, in her dreaded kimura hold that she has redubbed the KIMBLELOCK after the beloved educator! }Terri Morasco: Fifi's got the submission locked in!
Vasco Dias: Look at Kate though! Can she make it in time!?!
{ Groggy but determined as hell, Kate Steele slowly inches her way into the ring and busts up the submission attempt just as Lizzy is about to say the magic words! She immediately chucks Fiona to the outside, leaving Lizzy wide upon for the pickings--planting her with her dreaded Siren's Song triangle choke! Lizzy Dalmon isn't going anywhere anytime soon, and Fiona manages to get back into the ring, only to see Lizzy tap out before she could break the hold! }[DING-DING-DING!!!]
{ Paramore's "Monster" plays again as Kate points in McFly's general direction and laughs, sticking her tongue out before getting the hell out of dodge! }----------------------------------------------------------

”Personal”
----------------------------------------------------------
{The camera opens on a closed door with a PRIVATE sign on it. Willy Carter is standing outside of it, with a microphone in hand.}Willy Carter: I’m standing outside this door, where I have it under good authority that Ryan Shane is inside. The rumor is that something big is going down in there, and I’m here to bring you the scoop firsthand.
{Willy turns to the door and knocks on it. There is no answer. This time he knocks a little louder, practically banging on the door. The door opens and Ryan Shane steps out, quickly closing the door behind him. Carter tries to get a look inside but is unsuccessful.}Ryan Shane: Willy, the door says private...that means whatever is going on behind this door is not for your prying eyes.
Willy Carter: The IWF fans have the right to know what’s going on with it’s superstars.
Ryan Shane: Do they Willy? You know what I have the right to? Privacy!
{Shane turns to go back inside the room.}Willy Carter: Alright, fair enough. So what do you think your chances are against Zasshu tonight?
{The question draws the ire of Shane and he takes his hand of the doorknob. He turns back to Willy Carter.}Ryan Shane: My chances are what they’ve always been against Zasshu, there is no chance I lose tonight. I’m doing him a favor by even giving his this shot. He’s down on his luck, and he could really use the boost to his moral.
Willy Carter: I think you're shortchanging him. Zasshu is a former Man of Steel champion.
Ryan Shane: You don’t need to remind me. I’m the one who took the title from him! Ever since then he hasn’t been the same. He’s been a joke, a pathetic mess. He’s nowhere near the same guy. He’s lost his mask, his identity, he’s a shadow of his former self.
Willy Carter: It could be he just needs a new motivation. Ending your reign as champion could revitalize his career.
Ryan Shane: That isn’t going to happen Willy! Here’s how it’s going to go down. The bell is going to ring, and I’m going to destroy him. I’m going to put him out of his misery just like I did Devlin Raine.
Willy Carter: Aren’t you taking this a little personally?
Ryan Shane: When it comes to Zasshu, it will always be personal. Things might be different now, but that doesn’t change the fact that he ended a career just because he wanted to. So that’s exactly what I’m going to do to him. He’ll finally get everything coming to him.
{The now fired up Shane opens the door and enters the room. He closes it and locks it behind him, leaving Willy Carter standing on the outside, alone.}Willy Carter: I wasn’t able to get the scoop, but we did find out that Ryan Shane holds a grudge. I guess we’ll see what happens later tonight.
{The camera cuts away.}{The opening guitar introduction to "Raise Your Horns" by Amon Amarth begins to play through the speakers in the arena, and the crowd erupts into a cheer; "Victory!" as the opening of the vocals comes to the speakers, Ulf Hednir comes from behind the curtains with his drinking horn held high into the air leading the crowd to cheer further for him. He walks to the side of the stage and gestures for the crowd to get louder--he is not disappointed, and salutes the crowd by raising the drinking horn to the crowd following it with a gulp; he salutes them one more time before walking toward the ring with a smile on his face. He walks close by the ramp to use his free hand to shake hands with many of the fans. When reaching the bottom of the ramp, he walks around to the time keeper's table and places the drinking horn in a holder fastened to his belt, in order for him to remove his cloak and place it with the time keeper. He retrieves his drinking horn from his belt again and holds it to the sky, yelling "Skål!" to the crowd, who chant it with him before downing the remainder of the beverage residing in the drinking horn. He places the drinking horn down on his cloak, and slides under the bottom rope to get into the ring. He is quick to his feet, waiting for the match to begin.} Terri Morasco: Ulf Hednir is coming out to look for his first title reign.
Vasco Dias: It is still an early career for him, but this could make or break him.
{The drum fill kicks in the door and the guitar riff of 311’s Perfect Mistake starts blasting over the PA system.}“Listen Up!”
{The arena lights start changing from orange to black on the beat and Jayson Matthews comes bouncing from behind the curtain and head banging to the riff. His Invictus Championship firmly around his waste. He jams to the verse as he starts to walk down the ramp, slapping fives with as many fans as he can on either side. }This is the next stage, we turn the page
We're gonna wreck a place when we take the stage
Roll up your sleeves, get down with me
It's going off in the pit like you wouldn't believe
Alison Valance: Weighing in at 200 pounds, hailing from Detroit, Michigan. He is the IWF InVICTUS Champion……JAYSON MATTHEWS!
{Jayson stands at the end of the ramp and stares into the ring and he starts to bounce up and down and hypes himself up and as soon as the chorus hits he dives into the ring forward rolls onto his feet and runs over to the side opposite the ramp and leans over the ring holding out his Championship. While the lights strobe orange and black.}“Ohhhhhhhhhh
See in it my eyes
Hold it in my hands
All those days that you wasted away
There was no one to blame
It's a perfect mistake
{He hops up on the turnbuckle and holds out the Invictus title with one arm and points to the crowd with his other hand. Thanking the fans for the cheers and displaying the title to the fans.}Terri Morasco: Jayson Matthews is looking to gain his first ever successful title defense, and with how dominant Ulf Hednir has been within the IWF, it would be a big one!
Vasco Dias: But if you put the power behind someone like Ulf Hednir, and give him a weapon… this could end rather quickly.
{Both competitors stand across the ring from each other, awaiting for the bell to sound; when it finally does, Ulf charges forward; Jayson refuses to back down and goes to meet his opponent in the middle of the ring, only to be met with a stiff knee to his side! The knee strike causes Jayson to keel over, and Ulf begins to deliver some clubbing blows to his back until Jayson is forced down to one knee. Jayson continues battling back to his feet, but Ulf has him placed in a headlock with one arm while continuing to club him… Jayson still refuses to stay down, and keeps getting up to his feet and slowly pushes Ulf back until he's in the corner. Jayson thrusts his shoulder into Ulf’s abdomen, which seems to drive the wind out of him; Jayson connects with a second thrust, and a third, before getting his head free from the headlock. Jayson looks ready to continue with a striking offense, but Ulf lunges his arm forward and pulls Jayson in before connecting with a hard headbutt!}Terri Morasco: I don’t think that’s the way you want to approach this attack.
Vasco Dias: He looked strong at first until that headbutt connected.
{Jayson stumbles back, covering his face until turning around to Ulf exploding out of the corner with a clothesline that sends him crashing to the mat! Ulf quickly makes the cover: One! ….. Two! Jayson Matthews kicks out! Jayson sits up and still has his face covered, checking himself for blood; meanwhile, Ulf is already to his feet and forcing the defending champion to his own… Jayson lifts an arm to try to battle Ulf away, but Ulf swats his arm away before tossing him with a biel throw. Jayson rolls through, and turns to meet Ulf but is taken right down with a running big boot! Ulf goes to cover Jayson again: One! ….. Two! Jayson kicks out again!}Vasco Dias: The power is on display, but Jayson is somehow staying in this one.
Terri Morasco: I think he’s surprised his nose isn’t broken.
{Ulf is the first one to sit up, while Jayson is covering his own face; Ulf stands up behind Jayson who is getting to a seated position, and he comes down driving his knee into his spine! Ulf reaches forward to grab Jayson’s neck and wrenches back with the chin lock as Jayson Matthews is struggling-- Bob Pooler is checking with Jayson to see if he wants to give it up, but Jayson is shaking his head, and waving his arms frantically. Jayson gets his arms back to Ulf’s head and holds him place, while Ulf is trying to battle away without releasing the hold-- Jayson pushes himself up slightly before dropping down and connecting with a jawbreaker! The impact of the move causes Ulf to release the hold, as he staggers back and rubs his jaw in a bit of pain. Jayson gets up to his feet, as Ulf is measuring him up and charges forward to go for a quick Thor’s Rage! Jayson ducks underneath it, and rolls Ulf up: One! ….. Two! Ulf Hednir powers out of the cover!}Terri Morasco: A great way to try to regain some of the momentum!
Vasco Dias: It slows it down, but he’s really gotta use that speed to his advantage.
{Ulf rolls backward to his knees, but Jayson using his speed to his advantage is the first one to his feet; he steps forward to go for a running knee strike, but Ulf ducks underneath it-- Jayson continues forward toward the ropes, as Ulf gets up, and Jayson leaps to the rope and springs back to a charging Ulf and connects with a missile dropkick! He hooks his leg quickly: One! ….. Ulf powers out before the count of two! Ulf is quick to try to get up, and Jayson grabs his arm as he is getting up to get him into a wrist lock! Ulf gets up, and Jayson tries to keep an angle on him to keep him from using the full strength of that arm; Jayson drives his elbow into Ulf’s arm, and releases the hold in the process. Ulf grips his arm in a bit of pain and stumbles forward, and Jayson follows him throwing a few elbows and punches until Ulf is stuck in the corner.}Vasco Dias: Don’t let up, otherwise you will regret it.
Terri Morasco: Jayson Matthews is showing that he does have the experience edge.
{Jayson delivers a hard elbow into Ulf’s abdomen, then climbs up to the second rope as the crowd is cheering when Jayson lifts a fist into the air letting them know that he intends to hit him; he brings an arm back to go for the first punch, but Ulf catches it and shakes his head to him. Holding Jayson’s fist in his own hand, Jayson drops from the corner trying to pull his arm free but Ulf looks to be aiming to just crush his hand continuing to shake his head to the champion… Jayson wisely goes low by delivering a dropkick to Ulf’s knee, taking his leg out from under him, and sending him face first into the mat! Ulf immediately gets back to his hands and knees, and Jayson Matthews flips over him, and catches him before rolling him into a cover: One! ….. Two! Ulf Hednir kicks out!}Terri Morasco: Another near fall for Jayson Matthews!
Vasco Dias: But he’s gotta do so much more damage!
{Ulf turns over onto his back and is immediately sitting up, as Jayson has already gotten to his feet; as Ulf just gets his feet planted, not even fully standing, Jayson leaps on his back and gets him into a rear naked choke! Ulf manages to steady the weight of Jayson Matthews on his back, but he is stumbling due to the lack of oxygen… Jayson is trying to shake his weight to and fro to force Ulf off balance, but Ulf somehow is staying up.}Vasco Dias: That’s a wise move. Wear him down.
Terri Morasco: But at the same time, Ulf Hednir showing his resiliency and power by being able to continue standing at this point.
{Ulf charges backward and crushes Jayson between himself and the corner! Jayson warily holds on with the rear naked choke, but now Ulf uses the corner to keep himself steady as he tosses back some hard elbows into Jayson’s ribs. Jayson struggles to hold on, and Ulf now has gotten enough oxygen to be able to get through to recover somewhat-- he reaches back to grab Jayson by the head and takes a few steps forward before powering Jayson over with a snapmare! Jayson holds his tailbone in a bit of pain, but tries to get straight back up to his feet… Ulf reaches forward and starts to get Jayson Matthews locked into Low-Key!}Terri Morasco: There is nothing that can save Jayson Matthews if he gets this locked in!
Vasco Dias: I’m surprised he’s not already tapping.
{Ulf is wrenching back on the hold, as Jayson Matthews is being tossed back and forth-- he reaches out for the ropes, not to make a break, but to possibly get himself some leverage to escape; he is unable to keep a grip on the rope, so starts throwing his elbow desperately back rapidly enough times until Ulf Hednir can’t hold on from being far too dazed… Ulf holds the ropes for a moment, trying to regain his composure, and Jayson Matthews charges forward connecting with a diving clothesline that sends both men over the top rope and out of the ring!}Vasco Dias: And this one is going out of the ring!
Terri Morasco: Jayson Matthews is at least safe from being covered out there.
{Jayson is the first one to his feet, as he draws in some deep breaths after Low-Key almost took him out of the match; Ulf is a tad bit slower, still dazed from the elbows and from the clothesline… Jayson grabs him by the hair and pulls him up to his feet before gripping his arm and trying to send him off toward the barricade with an Irish-whip; Ulf grabs the post behind him to keep Jayson from completing the move. Jayson tries harder to pull Ulf from the post and toward the barricade, but Ulf is just too strong.}Vasco Dias: Trying to overpower him? Not exactly your brightest moment.
Terri Morasco: Pretty far from it.
{With tremendous force, Ulf pulls Jayson toward him to go for a clothesline looking to Jayson’s head off, but Jayson ducks underneath it! He uses the post to stop his momentum forward, and reaches back to grab Ulf’s arm from the other side of the post and pulls it back hard almost pulling his shoulder from his socket-- Ulf grips his shoulder in pain, as Jayson climbs to the apron of the ring, and is climbing further up to the turnbuckle; Ulf climbs to the apron as Jayson is still climbing up the corner, and he gets his hand around his throat-- Jayson looks to be pleading for some mercy, but Ulf shakes his head to him… Jayson carefully maneuvers one of his knees between himself and Ulf and uses it to push him off against the apron. Ulf stumbles and almost falls off but holds on as Jayson leaps off the turnbuckle to go for a diving bicycle kick-- Ulf simply steps back and avoids the damage as Jayson lands on one leg and looks to have hurt himself from the landing… Ulf goes for a running big boot along the apron, but Jayson falls off the apron and lands on the floor-- while Ulf still has his leg extended out, Jayson grabs his other leg and pulls it out from underneath him and Ulf lands flat on his back on the apron; Jayson begins to deliver some hard elbows to Ulf, who is doing whatever he can to defend himself.}Vasco Dias: He has him down, and now’s the time to inflict as much damage as you can!
Terri Morasco: Ulf Hednir has no choice but to defend himself!
{Deciding to not waste any more time, Jayson delivers a hard elbow to Ulf believing it could have stalled him long enough for him to get something from under the ring… Jayson pulls out a chair before grabbing Ulf by the arm and pulling him down from the apron; as Ulf is getting back to his feet, Jayson aims the chair for his skull! Ulf manages to avoid the chair shot, and it collides with the apron. Ulf charges forward and connects with a haymaker! Jayson Matthews looks to be out on his feet, and Ulf rips the chair away from him-- he gets a quick step forward, and grabs Jayson by the arm spinning him around and sending him toward the barricade with a good amount of force! Jayson Matthews collides with the barricade and goes tumbling over!}Terri Morasco: Where’s this one going? Out to the crowd?
Vasco Dias: It would appear so.
{Ulf Hednir looks up at Bob Pooler, who is not following them out of the ring. “It can only end in here, man!” shouts Bob Pooler, but Ulf Hednir shrugs him off while going after the Invictus Champion who has fallen out with the crowd… Ulf goes over to the barricade, and climbs over before grabbing Jayson by the head and forcing him to his feet-- he looks to one of the fans and demands that he get up, and the fan doesn’t hesitate to get out of his way… Ulf smashes Jayson’s face on the chair! He grabs the chair and drags him along with the chair up through the crowd, many of the fans having their arms out but security is trying to make a hole for the two competitors.}Terri Morasco: Stay away from these two, for your own safety!
Vasco Dias: These two need to get into the ring, not away from it.
{Both men near the first platform of the crowd where vendors can be seen trying to sell merchandise for the show, and food; Ulf pushes Jayson off toward one of the concession stands and grips the chair with both hands-- he waits for Jayson to turn around before going to crush his skull with it! Jayson Matthews manages to duck underneath, but the amount of force that Ulf hit the stand with bends almost all the way back and the stand to move back a few inches! Ulf is forced to let go of the chair as the vibrations from its collision causes his hands to shake…}Vasco Dias: That would have killed him if he landed that strike!
Terri Morasco: I believe you may be correct.
{Jayson looks back at the vendor, and says something to him that cannot be heard... }Vendor: What?
Jayson Matthews: Give me a Pepsi!
Vendor: We only sell Coke here…
Vasco Dias: What did he say?
Terri Morasco: Now is not the time for that!
{Jayson Matthews looks angrily at the vendor, and the vendor points behind Jayson Matthews as Ulf lunges forward for a running big boot! Jayson rolls out of the way and Ulf kicks the concession stand back a few inches, most of the food and drinks toppling over as the vendor tries to save it all but loses some of it. Jayson reaches past and rips a Coke from the vendor’s hand-- he shakes it up rapidly before popping the top and letting it spray all over Ulf Hednir, as Ulf covers his eyes to try to keep the sugar from getting in his eyes.}Terri Morasco: He’s gonna be all sticky…
Vasco Dias: Plans for later?
{Bob Pooler sighs inside of the ring, and charges out of the ring and through the crowd to get back to the competitors trying to ensure that they don’t kill each other out. Jayson begins to pummel away at Ulf, as Ulf is just defending himself from the attacks. Jayson lunges forward for a kick, but Ulf grabs his leg-- he pulls him forward and takes Jayson down with a clothesline! Ulf doesn’t let go of Jayson’s arm and pulls him back to his feet… he points toward the door leading to the hallway, and charges him forward! Ulf tosses Jayson Matthews through the door and the door almost comes off its hinges… Jayson rolls through and hits the wall, holding his back; on the other side of the door, Ulf is heading toward it to continue the offense.}Terri Morasco: And now we’re going backstage.
Vasco Dias: I don’t think they understand the concept that this match cannot end anywhere but inside the ring!
Terri Morasco: But there is no time limit, no disqualification, and no count out.
{Jayson notices the door start to open toward him, and he lunges forward to kick the door back into Ulf’s front side! Jayson swings the doors open, and Ulf shakes the feeling of pain and lunges for Jayson Matthews-- both men grapple up with Ulf pushing Jayson back against the wall; Jayson tries to battle Ulf back, but Ulf snaps back and connects with a hard elbow, sending Jayson staggering down the hall…}{Ulf continues forward with Bob Pooler right behind him, and Ulf continues to deliver a few elbows as security is holding the crowd back… the fighting between these two continue down the hall, Ulf maintaining the upper hand until they turn down a hallway where most of the staff and wrestlers are located. They near the locker room, and Jayson starts to get some momentum back on his side by delivering some hard lefts and rights, but Ulf finally catches one, and drives his knee into Jayson’s abdomen to drive the wind out of him. Ulf opens the door to the locker room and shoves Jayson down in the doorway-- he grips the edge of the door and pulls it back trying to crush Jayson’s ribs!}Terri Morasco: Ulf is using that door to crush the champion!
Vasco Dias: Do what you can.
{Jayson holds his ribs, and Ulf grabs the door again to continue pulling it back repeatedly against Jayson’s ribs-- after several more times, he pushes the door back and bolts into the locker room beginning to search through a few things at his locker. Jayson Matthews gets up still clinging to his ribs and he monitors what Ulf is grabbing… Ulf suddenly turns around and has a sword and shield in his hand!}Vasco Dias: DON’T DO THAT!
Terri Morasco: What?!
Jayson Matthews: Whoa! Whoa! WHOA!
{Jayson Matthews retreats behind the door, and security is on the scene getting between Ulf Hednir and everybody else. Ulf Hednir shrugs his shoulders.}Ulf Hednir: Jeg was told nei disqualification!
Jayson Matthews: There is a limit! THERE IS A LIMIT!
{Several of the administration staff come onto the scene, and peek into the locker room to see Ulf Hednir standing with legitimate sword and shield, and Bob Pooler walks over to them as they all seem to be discussing something amongst each other… Jayson Matthews gestures out to Ulf, and then back to the administration, and then back to Ulf.}Jayson Matthews: What’s there to discuss?! The sword is too much!
{They continue to talk for several more seconds, as Ulf Hednir is standing in a fighting pose; they come to terms and separate as Bob Pooler comes forward to explain their ruling.}Bob Pooler: We have decided that the sword… is a little too over the top, and it must be put away. HOWEVER! The shield may stay!
Jayson Matthews: Thank you! Thank you! Voice of reason…
Vasco Dias: I think we almost got shut down.
Terri Morasco: I was looking for a new job already.
{Security moves forward, and Ulf relinquishes the sword with a heavy heart but grips his shield with both hands as administration orders security to get out from between the two competitors. Jayson starts to try to find a way to attack, but Ulf has the shield blocking him from any attacks and seems to be waiting for him to just get close enough… Jayson comes in for an opportunity, but is struck with the shield, and Jayson holds his arm and falls back immediately. Both men exit the locker room, Ulf still holding the shield as they battle their way through the hallways yet again.}Terri Morasco: A Viking with a shield…
Vasco Dias: That is a very dangerous situation as these men treated their weapon as an extension of their arm. It was part of them, as much as their own arm.
{Ulf maintains most of the momentum as they get through the hallway. As they get to the curtains leading back out to the ring, Ulf swings his shield toward Jayson Matthews, and Jayson manages to catch it-- both men fight over the shield momentarily, but somehow, luckily, rips the shield away from Ulf Hednir who stumbles out from the curtains. Jayson charges forward and extends the shield out leaping with it to crash into Ulf Hednir that sends him further down the ramp as the crowd is cheering loud for the two making their way back out to the arena! Bob Pooler comes out from behind the curtains and hurries back toward the ring.}Vasco Dias: Finally! Finally they’re heading the right way!
Terri Morasco: But Jayson Matthews is getting the advantage back in it.
{Ulf falls almost all the way back down the ramp, and Jayson continues forward… he walks past a downed Ulf, and slides the shield back under the ring, then turns to face Ulf who is gettinga back to his feet-- Ulf shoves Jayson back, then charges after him; Jayson connects with a scissor leg sweep and Ulf collides with the apron. Jayson slides back into the ring under the bottom rope, as Ulf looks for something underneath the ring… he pulls out a sledgehammer, trying to conceal it so that Jayson doesn’t know he has it. He gets back to his knees and warily slides under the bottom rope still trying to conceal the sledgehammer.}Terri Morasco: Uh oh.
Vasco Dias: If Jayson doesn’t see this… this could be over.
{Ulf gets to his feet, feigning injury, and the champion looks to capitalize; the champion is met with a hard shot to his abdomen with the sledgehammer! Jayson keels over, and Ulf then uses the shaft of the hammer to strike him over the back and Jayson falls right down to the mat, but is trying to get up right away-- Ulf forces Jayson up to his feet the rest of the way, and then lifts him for a Military Press Slam! Jayson Matthews struggles to try to get free, but Ulf drops him forward-- he tries to save himself with his arms leading him to land hard on his wrist on top of the shield, not saving much of his abdomen, chest, and face, either.}Vasco Dias: That will hurt a lot more, those shields are actually very tough.
Terri Morasco: That’s how you show your strength!
{Jayson rolls over onto his back looking up as Ulf Hednir leans down to pick up the sledgehammer; a mischievous grin comes across his face as he twirls the hammer in his hands before looking down at Jayson Matthews… Bob Pooler watches on in shock knowing that Ulf Hednir intends to crush Jayson Matthews, as he lifts the sledgehammer high over his head! Ulf Hednir brings the hammer down-- but Jayson Matthews manages to pull the shield in front of him to block the blow from the hammer which hardly causes a dent in the sturdy shield!}Terri Morasco: I think Ulf Hednir is out for blood…
Vasco Dias: It would seem so.
{Jayson kicks desperately forward, and repeats the kick several times until… Ulf finally keels over, putting the sledgehammer’s head down to lean against it to keep himself up as Jayson Matthews gets back to his feet; he charges against the ropes and back, leaping in the air and connecting with the Jayson Matthews Experience! The kick connects and Ulf Hednir falls to the mat, and Jayson quickly hooks the leg: One! ….. Two! ….. Th-- the challenger kicks out!}Vasco Dias: He did not see that one coming!
Terri Morasco: But he somehow kicks out!
{Jayson Matthews looks at Bob Pooler…}Jayson Matthews: You counted too slow!
Bob Pooler: I counted right! Ulf kicked out!
{Bob speaks while gesturing, and the champion tries to waste no time; he gets up to his feet dragging his challenger to his feet as well… but Ulf reaches forward and grabs Jayson by the legs to trip him up! He grabs both of his legs into a Boston Crab fashion, and then begins to swing Jayson Matthews around the ring with what he calls Flight of the Valkyries! Jayson Matthews is trying to stop, but when he accepts that he is trapped, just protects the back of his neck…}Vasco Dias: Wise move by the champion, as he’s stuck here.
Terri Morasco: Be careful with that landing.
{Five complete spins occur before Ulf Hednir releases and sends Jayson Matthews off! Ulf advances forward, shaking his head to stop his own world from spinning-- he grabs Jayson’s arm and almost rips it off as he forces Jayson back to his feet and sends him off to the corner… Ulf follows in with a Stinger Splash! He sends him to the opposite corner, and follows in: Jayson Matthews kicks his feet into the air and sends Ulf Hednir back unable to complete Berserker Mode… when Ulf faces him, Jayson charges out to go for a cross body!}Terri Morasco: Cross body!
Vasco Dias: But Ulf catches him!
{Ulf catches Jayson who is squirming but Ulf powers him up onto his shoulders to show off some of his strength; he takes Jayson over with the Valhalla Driver and quickly hooks the leg: One! ….. Two! ….. Th-- Jayson Matthews gets his shoulder off of the mat!}Terri Morasco: Ulf Hednir looks rather pissed off.
Vasco Dias: I can’t believe that Jayson Matthews was able to kick out of that.
{Ulf looks up at Bob Pooler and asks him if he’s sure it wasn’t three, but Bob insists it was only a two count. Ulf marches over to the corner of the ring and kneels down as he slams his fist down into the mat… Jayson Matthews is slow to get to his feet, but eventually does. As he gets up, Ulf Hednir charges out and goes for Thor’s Rage! He connects, and Jayson Matthews is laid out in the middle of the ring… he calls that it’s over before falling over Jayson Matthews, and even hooks the leg for good measure: One! ….. Two! ….. Thre---- Jayson Matthews throws his arm up to get his shoulder off the mat! Ulf Hednir snaps, and looks wide eyed at Bob Pooler…}Terri Morasco: Is he sure that wasn’t three?
Vasco Dias: I think that was three…
Terri Morasco: It was definitely three.
Ulf Hednir: That was three!
{Bob Pooler is trying to measure with his fingers the distance that Jayson Matthews was unable to get up, but shakes his head to Ulf.}Bob Pooler: How do you think I feel?
{Ulf Hednir yet again goes to pick up Jayson Matthews, this time putting him in a powerbomb position… Jayson Matthews falls to his knees and scrambles between Ulf Hednir’s legs, but before Ulf can turn him around, he grabs his arm and spins him around with a good amount of force to keep him off balance-- he drags Ulf in with as much power as he can muster and takes him down with the Rainmaker! Jayson Matthews has zero hesitation in hooking the leg: One! ….. Two! ….. Three!}Vasco Dias: He… He did it?
Terri Morasco: It’s strange to say the champion is the underdog, but the underdog prevailed!
{Bob Pooler helps Jayson Matthews back to his feet, as Ulf Hednir is stirring and holding the back of his head, seemingly frustrated knowing that he lost the match. Bob goes over to the ropes to get the belt from the time keeper and then proceeds to hand it over to Jayson Matthews, who holds it high over his head in victory. Meanwhile, Ulf Hednir rolls out of the ring and pounds the mat in frustration, but the crowd cheers nonetheless over the bout that these two had.}----------------------------------------------------------
SEGMENT
”Fear The Future”
----------------------------------------------------------
{ We catch up with the formally masked man Zasshu who is pacing in the interview area, he is met by Willy Carter. }Willy Carter: Zasshu... Or is it Akihiro Nakamura now?
Zasshu: Call me what you will, the only title I care about is the Man of Steel Championship.
{ Willy raises an eyebrow. }Willy Carter: Is that so? Because many say you don't deserve this title shot.
Zasshu: The words of fools mean nothing to me. Ryan Shane challenged my honor and for that he will pay dearly.
Willy Carter: While I understand the resentment you are by no means an innocent victim. Some would say you are finally getting what you deserve.
Zasshu: Maybe so, Willy, maybe so. Perhaps I deserved to lose my mask, my identity I have forged through years of hardword. I sacrificed much of what made me the man I was to simply taste momentary success. I will always regret taking the easy road. But to treat me as if I do not have the ability it takes to be a champion, the talent required, is insulting.
Willy Carter: You sound confident for a man who hasn't won a match in quite some time.
{ Zasshu turns to Willy with an anger in his eyes. }Zasshu: It is not confidence. Doubt in ones self only leads to failure. I will defeat Ryan Shane. I will regain the Man of Steel Championship. And I will regain the honor I lost when I joined the House of Howlett. My road to redemption starts tonight.
{Zasshu looks back to the camera.}Zasshu: Ryan Shane. Fear the Future.
{ With nothing else to say Zasshu walks away. }Alison Valance: The following contest is for the Man of Steel championship!!!
{ The arena lights dim to a low hue as a golden spot light shines on the stage, the opening to Trivium's "Villainy Thrives" begins to play as the golden light strobes to the piano. Once the song kicks into gear Zasshu comes exploding out from the stage with a burst of pyro and cheers from the crowd. He lands in a crouched position and looks all around before standing up and holding his fists high up over his head. Zasshu sprints down the ramp and springs off a trampoline over the top rope and front flipping before landing on his feet. From there he runs to the ropes and leaps onto the second rope in the corner and holds his fists up again over his head. }Alison Valance: Introducing first, from Mexico City, Mexico, and weighing 190lbs, Zasshu!!!
Terri Morasco: Zasshu hasn’t had a great few weeks. Losing his mask to Kole Kaos in the lowlight of his career. We have to remember that despite that, Zasshu is a great competitor, and a former Man of Steel champion. If Ryan Shane thinks he’s in for an easy time, I think he’ll soon find out how wrong he is.
Vasco Dias: Sure, once about a time Zasshu might have been a threat. Lately? He’s been a joke, who doesn’t even deserve a shot at Ryan Shane or his title.
{"Victim" by Eighteen Visions begins to play throughout the arena. The entrance ramp is dimly lit as the figure of Ryan Shane makes his way out from behind the curtain with the Man of Steel title around his waist. Pyro goes off as Shane makes his way to the ring as the fans erupt in a chorus of boos.} Alison Valance: His opponent, from Allen Park, Michigan, and weighing 210lbs, he is the ONLY two time IWF Man of Steel Champion...Ryan Shane!!!
{As he gets to the ring he climbs the steps and enters the cage. Once in the ring he takes the Man of Steel title off of his waist and raises it into the air, as the crowd continues booing.} Terri Morasco: Ryan Shane has been more aggressive as of late. His new attitude has gotten him the Man of Steel title, but the fans have turned on him.
Vasco Dias: I don't think he cares Terri. All he cares about is keeping that title around his waist.
{With both men in the ring the referee shows both competitors what's on the line by holding up the Man of Steel title. He then passes it to a ring attendant on the outside. Once the door to the cage is secure, the referee calls for the bell to start the match.}DING DING DING
{With the sound of the bell the quicker Zasshu uses his speed and starts laying into Shane with kicks. A dropkick to the knee brings Shane to the mat and Zasshu looks to lock in a quick triangle choke while he is dazed. The Man of Steel champion has it well scouted and is able to scamper to the ropes. Zasshu is forced to break the hold. The referee informs Shane that he is down a rope break, and the champion isn’t happy about it.}Terri Morasco: Zasshu coming out of the gates fast. I think he caught Shane off guard.
Vasco Dias: I assure you Shane knows exactly what he’s doing.
{With the two men separated, they begin to circle each other. They lock up in the middle of the ring and Shane takes control with a side headlock. Zasshu tries to push him off but has no luck. He goes with a different course of action and starts delivering quick elbows to the midsection of Shane. This finally breaks the hold. From there Zasshu springboards of the middle rope and connects with a knee. Shane is on his knees checking his nose when Zasshu hits a hurricanrana, driving him face first into the mat. The referee begins his count.}ONE

FIVE…
Terri Morasco: A Legendary Rana by Zasshu only gets a five count as Shane is able to make his way to his feet.
Vasco Dias: I think all Zasshu did there was piss Ryan Shane off.
{The crowd is cheering Zasshu as he once again goes on the offense. He goes for a quick superkick hoping to catch Shane off guard. Shane has it well scouted and is able to grab his foot before it connects. Zasshu tries to flip himself free but isn’t able to. Still having a hold of Zasshu’s foot, Ryan Shane locks in an ankle lock, hoping for the submission. The men are too close to the ropes and Zasshu is able to cause a break before too much damage can be done.}Terri Morasco: A great counter there by Shane, I don’t think I’ve ever seen him use an ankle lock before.
Vasco Dias: In a match like this, you pull out all the stops.
{Zasshu is moving a little gingerly as the two men eye each other once again. Zasshu tries for another kick but Shane catches it once again. This time he he drives an elbow into the right knee of Zasshu. Shane goes for a quick figure four but Zasshu is able to kick him away. Both men roll to their feet and Shane charges Zasshu who uses his speed and quickness and directs Shane into the corner. A step-up high knee connects and with Shane trying to gain his composure Zasshu climbs the ropes and nails a tornado DDT.}ONE

SEVEN…
Terri Morasco: A beautiful tornado DDT by Zasshu and it doesn’t look like he’s finished. He climbed the top rope and waiting for Shane to get to his feet. He’s looking for the World’s Best Moonsault!
Vasco Dias: He missed! Shane avoided it and Shane nailed him with a kick to the midsection on the way down! Brilliant!
{With Zasshu down, Shane starts going to work on his right knee. He stomps away and once again goes for a figure four leglock. This time he's able to apply it. Zasshu’s face shows how much pain he's in but he refuses to tap. He finally makes it to the ropes.}Terri Morasco: A close call for Zasshu, as he uses his second rope break.
Vasco Dias: I promise you Terri, there is nothing that is going to save him.
{Shane once again goes after the knee of Zasshu. He then grabs him and tries to whip him hard into the steel. Zasshu is able to leap up onto the cage. Ryan Shane is oblivious to this and is taunting the crowd. When he turns around Zasshu takes him out.}Terri Morasco: This time the World's Best Moonsault connects! Zasshu hit it from the cage.
Vasco Dias: He got lucky is all.
{Zasshu goes for the triangle choke once again but Shane avoids it. Using his quickness Zasshu hits the ropes and ducks under a swinging Shane. Ryan turns around and eats a super kick.}ONE

Terri Morasco: Super-K only gets an eight count. I think Zasshu thought he had him there.
Vasco Dias: I have to admit, maybe Zasshu does have a shot.
{Zasshu backs Shane into the corner and stomps him until he's in a seated position. Zasshu goes for the cannon ball but misses, entangling himself in the ropes.}Terri Morasco: Ryan Shane barely gets out of the way. Zasshu. Someday Snap by Shane!
Vasco Dias: You know what comes next? Shaning Wizard!
{It connects and Zasshu collapses in the center of the ring.}ONE

EIGHT…
Terri Morasco: Only a count of eight and Shane can't believe it. He's complaining to the ref that he isn't counting fast enough.
Vasco Dias: I think he has a point!
{After complaining to the ref, Shane turns back to Zasshu and a perfectly delivered bicycle kick. With Shane on the mat Zasshu climbs to the top rope.}Terri Morasco: Zasshu just brought his full weight down on Shane with a double stomp.
Vasco Dias: That's not good Terri. I think I heard all of the air rush from Shane’s lungs.
{Zasshu not wanting to waste any momentum lifts Shane up and drills him onto the mat.}Terri Morasco: Zasshu Driver! If this match could be won by pinfall it would be over.
Vasco Dias: This is not what Ryan Shane bargained for.
{The action continues in the ring, with Zasshu firmly in control. Suddenly “Can’t Stop” by Sixx:A.M. begins to play, Laura Howlett makes her way out from behind the curtain and heads toward the ring.}Terri Morasco: What the hell is she doing out here?
Vasco Dias: She wants to witness the final destruction of Zasshu first hand.
{As Laura gets to the ring, and stands outside the steel cage, she starts yelling at Zasshu to get his attention. The usually focused Zasshu turns his attention toward her.}Terri Morasco: She has no business being out here Vasco! All she's doing is serving as a distraction.
Vasco Dias: Look at her Terri! She can distract me anytime!
Terri Morasco: I think she has.
{With his attention elsewhere, Ryan Shane clips the right knee of Zasshu. Zasshu falls to the mat clutching at his knee. Laura Howlett just smiles and applauds the attack.}Terri Morasco: The presence of Laura Howlett might have just turned the tide is this match.
Vasco Dias: You're giving her too much credit. Ryan Shane can defeat Zasshu with or without the help of Laura Howlett.
{Shane stomps away at the injured knee of Zasshu. He then drags him to the ropes and bends the knee over the middle rope, hyperextending it. Zasshu still having a rope break left forces Shane to release the hold before the referee’s count of five.}Terri Morasco: Shane aggressively working the knee of Zasshu. It looks like he wants to put him on the shelf right next to Devlin Raine.
Vasco Dias: The Man of Steel champion is collecting trophies.
{Shane will not let up as he picks Zasshu up. He positions him in a way to where the injured right knee is left unprotected. He then tosses Zasshu into the steel. Zasshu hits the steel hard and then crashes to the mat between the cage and ropes.}Terri Morasco: I'm not sure Zasshu is going to be able to walk after that.
Vasco Dias: I don't think Ryan Shane cares.
{Ryan Shane drags Zasshu into the middle of the ring and goes for his version of a cloverleaf, but Zasshu fights him off with his good leg, connecting with a boot to the chin of Shane.}Terri Morasco: It might be too soon to count out Zasshu. He just connected with a shot that has Shane shaking the cobwebs out.
Vasco Dias: Lucky shot Terri!
{The crowd is rallying behind Zasshu as he is able to get back to a standing position, albeit on only one leg. As Shane approaches him, Zasshu unloads on him with a variety of punches and chops.}Terri Morasco: Zasshu is usually a master of using his feet, but he is adapting.
Vasco Dias: I think he's throwing Ryan Shane off of his game.
{With Shane staggered, Zasshu steadies himself on his good leg and goes for a spin kick, hoping to connect with his opponent's head. Ryan Shane narrowly avoids it and dropkicks the injured right knee as it comes back down to the mat.}Terri Morasco: Buenas Noches Kick misses and Shane has pounced on the injured Zasshu. He's locked in a undetermined knee submission.
Vasco Dias: He's got it locked in, Zasshu has nowhere to go!
{Zasshu does all he can to hang on but the pain is too much too bare. He has no choice but to tap out and the referee signals for the bell.}DING DING DING
Alison Valance: The winner of the match, by submission, and STILL IWF Man of Steel champion...Ryan Shane!!!
{Shane throws his hands up in victory, as “Victim” by Eighteen Visions begins to play. On the mat Zasshu is clutching his knee, a look of anguish is on his face. Laura Howlett grabs the Man of Steel title and demands to be let into the cage.}Terri Morasco: A valiant effort by Zasshu, but one has to wonder just how bad that knee is hurt. I hope Laura Howlett is proud of herself.
Vasco Dias: I'd say she is.
{A smiling Howlett is now in the ring. She steps past the fallen Zasshu and hands Shane his title. Ryan throws the belt over his shoulder, and extends his hand. Laura reaches out and the two shake hands.}Terri Morasco: It looks like this was all part of a plan. Ryan Shane and Laura Howlett were in on this together.
{While their hands are still locked, Laura steps closer and plants a kiss on the mouth of Shane. When she breaks the kiss, Laura raises Shane’s arm in victory once more, as the crowd lets them have it.}Terri Morasco: I don't know the extent of Shane and Howlett’s relationship, but one thing is clear. They wanted Shane to walk out as champion, and possibly end the career of Zasshu.
Vasco Dias: If that was the mission, I'd say it was a success.
{Ryan Shane helps Laura Howlett out of the ring, and the two make their way up the ramp, as the crowd still boos. Medical personnel rush past them to check on Zasshu.}Alison Valance: The following is a STEEL CAGE MATCH!
{The ominous music plays as the steel cage high above begins to lower down over the ring.}Terri Morasco: This match is personal, and there’s only one way to end it.
Vasco Dias: And that’s exactly what the queen is going to do.
{As the cage surrounds the ring, “Over You” by Girlicious hits the sound system in the arena and out to the stage with a smile of confidence walks Paige Garcia, stopping atop the ramp to twirl around, her figure to be admired by all in attendance before she heads down to the ring.}Alison Valance: From San Diego, California, weighing in at 136 pounds...PAIGE...GAAAARCIA!
{She walks around the ring, sliding up onto the apron, grabbing hold of the top rope, flipping backward over said rope into the ring, posing for the crowd who send boos her way.}Terri Morasco: These two just can’t get out of each other’s way, and some say that Paige is the reason for that the way she treated Alexis after their match for the Diamonds Title.
Vasco Dias: Paige was making a statement. She wanted to prove that she had surpassed the teacher, and I believe she truly has.
{“Cult of Love” by Living Colour hits the sound system with a slow piano theme. The drums beat as "Cult of Personality" is mashed in just as Alexis shuffles out onto the stage. Alexis poses for the crowd who show their appreciation for the IWF Hall of Famer before she skips down to the ring.}Alison Valance: Making her way to the ring, from Cleveland, Ohio, weighing in at 115 pounds, she is an IWF Hall of Famer...Alexis Caffreeeey!!!
{She gets to the ring and climbs up on the apron. She steps in under the middle rope and heads to the corner opposite the entrance ramp waiting for the match to begin.}Terri Morasco: Paige has said in the past that Alexis’ time was over and it was now her’s to shine in.
Vasco Dias: And I don’t think she’s wrong.
Terri Morasco: Well, Alexis has something to say about that, and tonight she has a chance to put herself back into the conversation at the top of the division.
Vasco Dias: In her dreams.
{The crowd goes silent as the cage door is slammed shut, the sound of steel on steel echoing throughout the arena causing cheers throughout the crowd. The two wrestlers eyeball one another as the referee calls for the bell.}Terri Morasco: Remember, in this match, the only way to win is getting out of the cage. No pinfalls, no submissions in this match.
{The two women step into the center of the ring as the two have words before Paige hauls off and slaps Alexis right across the face.}Terri Morasco: As if she couldn’t disrespect her anymore than she already has?
Vasco Dias: She doesn’t care about that...she wants respect, she wants the spotlight, and she feels like Alexis is back to steal all of that from her.
{Alexis slowly turns her head to the side with a giant smile on her face, and Paige looks rather confused...until that smile turns sour and Alexis charges after Paige who turns and runs up the ropes, holding onto the cage, trying to pull herself up the chainlink, but Alexis catches her, and pulls her legs out from under her sending her crashing down to the top rope chest first.}Terri Morasco: Seems like Alexis didn’t appreciate that slap too much.
Vasco Dias: So she brutalizes her like that?
Terri Morasco: This is a cage match…
{Alexis grabs Paige by the hair and pulls her to her feet before hurling her into the support beam on the side of the cage, catching her and sending her into the other side as well, and as Paige stumbles back, Alexis grabs her and pulls her down with a Neckbreaker.}Terri Morasco: It seems like Alexis is in firm control of this match.
Vasco Dias: Just gotta weather the storm.
{Alexis grabs hold of the top rope and just starts stomping away, and though Paige tries to get away, she’s trapped under the bottom rope between the ropes and the cage. Alexis then skips away with her arms out to the cheers of the crowd. She twirls in the center of the ring, and Paige does her best to get to her feet. Alexis sees this and goes to pull her in the ring through the ropes but Paige drives her shoulder into the Hall of Famer. She hits her one more time and Alexis goes stumbling toward the center of the ring. Paige walks in and drives her forearm into the face of Alexis, laying her out!}Vasco Dias: THERE IT IS!
Terri Morasco: She nearly took Alexis’ head off with that shot out of nowhere.
{Paige leans back into the ropes for a second, a smile crossing her face as she sees Alexis lying flat on her back. She taunts the crowd who boo as she slowly walks to the door, yelling for the referee to open it. She gets near the corner and the crowd cheers as Alexis charges her and leaps with a lunging Dropkick, knocking Paige shoulder-first into the ring post, she then reaches out and pulls the door shut ON PAIGE’S FACE!}Vasco Dias: NOT THE FACE!
Terri Morasco: And Paige just collapsed back in the center of the ring.
{Alexis walks to the corner and then looks back at Paige with a sadistic laugh as she grabs the door and slams it shut prompting applause from the crowd!}Vasco Dias: What is she doing?
Terri Morasco: She had the opportunity to leave the cage, but I get the feeling she’s here to make Paige suffer, not just win.
{The cage door is locked again as Alexis stalks Paige who slowly gets to her feet. Alexis runs forward, wrapping her body around Paige and twisting her into the ENTANGLEMENT!}Terri Morasco: She’s got that hold locked on in the center of the ring.
Vasco Dias: There’s no submissions in this match though!
Terri Morasco: True, but it’s hard for Paige to climb with a messed up arm, prompted by it getting slammed into the post.
{Paige is in near tears as Alexis wrenches back on the hold, but Paige, doing whatever she can to break the hold, falls back into the cage causing Alexis’ grip to lessen a bit. She does it again, and a third time causing Alexis to fall between the ropes and the cage raking her body along both. Both women are down and the fans cheer them on.}Terri Morasco: We said this was personal, and it’s been shown amongst these two as they will do whatever they can to one another.
Vasco Dias: Paige is rolling in the wrong direction!
{Paige gets between another set of ropes and the cage and uses both to pull herself up. She looks over and sees Alexis roll over onto her stomach, clearly in pain. Paige looks up at the cage and slowly reaches up to grab it. She starts ascending the cage as Alexis looks up, brushing her hair from her face. She starts crawling over as Paige gets her foot in the cage to push herself up.}Vasco Dias: Paige has a leg up here...literally.
Terri Morasco: Alexis is aware, and her crawl has become a little more dire.
{Alexis gets to her feet and bear crawls toward the cage, grabbing hold of the cage, shaking it to the best of her ability to cause Paige some instability. Alexis herself then starts climbing with the aid of the ropes. Paige tries to kick her off, but Alexis pulls her down to the top rope where both now stand. The two take shots at one another, Paige grabbing Alexis and slamming her face into the cage. Alexis hangs onto the cage as Paige tries to take another step up. Alexis hits her in the kidneys, stunning the former Diamonds Champion and causing her to put her foot back on the top rope. Alexis hits her a few more times, then turns grabbing her and taking her all the way down to the mat with a Urinage Slam! Both girls left lying on the mat as the crowd chants “HOLY SHIT!”.}Terri Morasco: What a move by Alexis who has proven she’s not afraid to take a risk.
Vasco Dias: This is one of the tougher challenges for Paige in her career, and she’ll have to dig down deep to overcome that.
{Both women are slowly moving, and Alexis is the first to her feet, but Paige isn’t too far behind as she turns, Alexis hits her in the face with a forearm. Paige then returns the favor that rocks Alexis into the ropes. Alexis springs off and leaps up for a Crossbody, but is caught in mid-air by Paige who positions perfectly to hurl Alexis into the cage with a Fallaway Slam!}Vasco Dias: There’s the opening!
Terri Morasco: She just threw her like a doll into that cage and Alexis looks like she’s hurt pretty bad.
{Paige stays on her back for a moment before slowly rolling to her stomach and pushing herself off the ground. She looks at Alexis and yells.}Paige Garcia: How does it feel to have the spotlight taken from you!?
{She walks across the ring and starts scaling the cage. She’s about halfway up when Alexis comes to and starts pulling her way up. Paige has reached the top of the cage.}Vasco Dias: The queen is about to show her supremacy!
Terri Morasco: NOT SO FAST!
{Alexis darts across the ring in a last ditch effort, climbing the cage as Paige goes to swing her leg over. Alexis grabs her by the hair and the Diamond is stuck on top, dangling from one end to another as she kicks her feet. Alexis pulls with all of her might, slowly getting Paige back into the ring. She slams her face back into the cage a couple of times, dazing Paige who is barely hanging on as both are standing on the top rope now. Alexis looks behind her, then at Paige who is pretty much out on her feet. Alexis leaps up, grabbing hold of Paige’s head...KISS GOODNIGHT FROM THE TOP ROPE!}Terri Morasco: She just drove her knees into Paige’s face! If there were pinfalls, this thing would all be over!
Vasco Dias: But there’s not damn it...THERE’S NOT!
{Both women are clearly hurt, but Alexis rolls to her stomach and starts clawing for the door as the referee pulls it open. Alexis gets to the corner, pulling herself forward with the apron. She looks back at Paige who is trying to crawl after her but just seems unable. Alexis blows Paige a kiss and gives one more pull on the steps, falling to the floor as the bell rings.}Alison Valance: Here is your winner...ALEXIS...CAFFREEEEEY!
{“Cult of Love” plays on the speakers as Mike runs down to help his wife to her feet.}Terri Morasco: Alexis has done it. She has proven that the pupil has NOT passed the teacher by.
Vasco Dias: I don’t have to like it, but in the end, this was one hell of a match.
Terri Morasco: That it was, and the efforts of Paige will not go unnoticed I’m sure.
{Mike pulls Alexis to her feet and helps her up the ramp as the referee runs over to raise her hand. Paige is draped over the second rope, staring through the cage as Alexis collapses to her knees, laughing hysterically, knowing that she has indeed gotten her revenge.}Alison Valance: “This next contest is scheduled for one fall with a 30-minute time limit and is for the IWF Shieldmaiden Championship.”
{The arena is filled with blue and green light as Immigrant Song begins to play, evoking colors of the sea or the forest. As the music intensifies, Lights shine down to reveal Astrid entering through the crowd, huge smile on her face as she descends towards the ring, carrying a Viking-style shield as she approaches. She interacts with the crowd, laughing with them and allowing some of them to take selfies with her, giving high-fives and fist bumps all the way down. Her manager, Emma Danielson, walks behind her, smiling and interacting with the crowd as well, though not in as show-stealing a way. Before leaving the crowd, Astrid hands the shield to a young girl declaring “Anyone can be a hero - welcome to the Shield Wall, Sister!”. She leaps into the ring, pumped up and beaming after one last fist bump with Emma, jumping onto the ropes with a triumphant fist in the air taking in the crowd’s cheers before eventually settling into her corner, still brimming with energy.}{The lights go out before the Tron flickers to life with a flick of orange hair, before "In God We Trust” by Sweet Little Machine blasts out of the PA with orange and green lights flashing wildly, in time with the drums}"ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR!
NAH, NAH, NAH NAH!
NAH NAH-NAH NAH NAH!"
{The crowd chant along with the song, as Shea O’Hara barges through the curtain before standing in the middle of the stage with the IWF Shieldmaiden Championship around her waist. She lowers herself, almost squatting, before thrusting her arms into the air with the “devil horns” as a small pyro goes off behind her. She then sprints to the ring, sliding under the ropes and runs to the camera side and leans through the ropes on the second rope throwing up her “devil horns” once again.}Alison Valance: “Introducing first, in the corner to my left, the challenger. Wearing dark-blue and black with sky-blue and white, from Trondheim, Norway, and weighing in at 185 pounds…... Astrid Hall!”
{As Astrid steps out of the corner, bouncing on the balls of her feet with an almost girlish giddiness, the crowd bombs the ring with blue, white, and black streamers.} Alison Valance: “And her opponent, in the corner to my left, weighed in at 135 pounds and is from Cork, Ireland. Wearing green with gold and making her fourth defense of the Shieldmaiden Title, please welcome your reigning, defending, and undisputed IWF Sheildmaiden champion…… ‘The Punk Rock Riot’ Shea O’Hara!”
{As Shea steps out of her respective corner, holding the championship above her head as Astrid claps respectfully for her friend, the crowd chants “Let’s go Shea” and bombs the ring with gold and green streamers.} Terri Morasco: “And in one of the more interesting title matches on tonight’s show, Shea O’Hara defends her Shieldmaiden championship against her close friend Astrid Hall. These two are very close, and have been tag team partners on more than one occasion. But tonight, with this title on the line, you have to wonder how much of a strain this match is going to put on the friendship.”
Vasco Dias: “This week, we heard rumors of Astrid Hall spending some time training mat wrestling with Nighthawk to up that part of her game as she faces off against perhaps the best pure technician in the Diamonds division. If she can stay on the mat with Shea, we could be in for a classic.”
{Before the referee checks to see if both women are ready to go Astrid hugs her friend. Having seemingly ensured their sporting contest both women step back to their respective corners and submit to a check from the referee, after which he rings the bell to start the match. Going for a collar-and-elbow lockup Astrid can’t help herself and immediately shows off her significant strength advantage by firing Shea almost into a neutral corner in lieu of letting her get any hold applied, a show of force which causes Shea to sit on the mat for a moment in surprise at the power advantage her friend holds. Nodding her head carefully, the beginnings of a smirk on her face as she begins to realize the depth of the task that is in front of her, Shea pulls herself back up to her feet and again goes for a collar-and-elbow lockup only for Astrid to simply back her friend into the ropes and give her a clean break before the referee can even arrive as she appears to be taking pleasure in utilizing her power advantage. Leaning against the ropes for a moment, the wheels in her head noticeably turning as she tries to figure out what to do next, the Shieldmaiden Champion finally goes back to the collar-and-elbow lockup before quickly attempting an armdrag as she attempts to work on the left arm of her larger opponent. Unable to get the armdrag she wants Shea quickly changes tactics and instead tries to apply an armwringer which she is able to get as she looks to find some way to blunt the power advantage that she is up against, only for Astrid to quite easily counter out of the armwringer right into a tight side headlock as she looks to wear the “Punk Rock Riot” down.} Terri Morasco: "The interesting thing about this match is the classic template it's following. Shea O'Hara cannot match strength with Astrid Hall. I doubt very many MEN on the roster can. Conversely, I doubt that Astrid Hall has any great interest in getting into the mat game, training with Nighthawk aside."
Vasco Dias: "I've trained with Nighthawk, and his skill as a technician is matched by his facility as a teacher. But you have to ask: What can he teach someone in a few days?"
{continuing to crank tightly on the side headlock Astrid takes that over as she again looks to use her weight and strength to control the match, as Shea tries to escape the headlock any way that she can before crossing her ankles together and rocking herself out of the hold. Nodding her head in respect for the use of the European-style counter Astrid gets up to her feet carefully before raising her left hand for a test of strength challenge which Shea quickly takes and then uses her speed advantage to extricate herself from the knucklelock and instead walk through into a knucklelock armdrag as she decides to use her quickness advantage. Going for a tilt-a-whirl armdrag followed by a wheelbarrow armdrag Shea takes advantage of a somewhat-baffled Astrid by heading up to the top turnbuckle looking for a crossbody which she gets but is unable to force a cover before popping right back up and ducking underneath an Astrid lariat and landing another quick crossbody which this time gets a 2-count. Taking several quick gulps of air to catch her breath Shea continues to use her speed and heads back up to the top turnbuckle looking for a diving frankensteiner only to get caught out of mid-air with a powerbomb from Astrid who leans against the ropes catching her breath.} Terri Morasco: "Right up until that powerbomb was the offensive plan Shea has to follow. She's got to stick, and move, and make Astrid think. If you can make someone as strong as Astrid think, all of that power is suddenly not as effective."
Vasco Dias: "Shea can't just use her speed, Terri. She has to try quick pinning combinations. The longer this match goes, the more threadbare that strategy becomes. You can't run forever."
{Quickly hooking in a cover that only gets 2 Astrid steps back to measure her close friend for a running lariat only for Shea to duck out of the way and attempt a quick crucifix which gets another 2-count. Going back to the well for a crucifix again Shea this time is caught in a gorgeous samoan drop before loosely covering and again getting a 2-count. Pulling the Shieldmaiden Champion back up to her feet Astrid sets up for a lariat only for Shea to block the lariat and land a step-up enzuigiri followed by a standing tornado DDT before heading back up to the top turnbuckle looking for the St. Patrick’s Parade, only to be forced to land on her feet and walk right into a massive lariat followed by a folding powerbomb that gets another 2-count as Emma loses her mind at ringside over the closeness of the count. Taking several deep breaths to compose herself Astrid steps back a pace as a woozy Shea pulls herself up with the aid of the ropes, but somehow finds enough left-over energy to low-bridge a charging Astrid who goes flying to the floor. Amping herself up one more time Shea leaps over the top rope and lands a trio of running superior football kicks from the apron to the chest of Astrid who wobbles but refuses to go down as an incredulous Shieldmaiden Champion looks on shocked before hitting a gorgeous Asai moonsault to the floor which finally does the trick.} Terri Morasco: "We forgot to mention one thing. Shea, for her lack of one-punch power, can land combinations. We saw a few of those here."
Vasco Dias: "But let's be honest. It took some brutal offense to knock Astrid down. How much more of that does Shea have in her?"
{Rolling Astrid to the floor Shea comes off the top rope with a gorgeous St. Patrick’s Parade but doesn’t cover, instead going back up and hitting a 2nd before covering and getting the 3.} Alison Valance: "The winner of the match, and STILL IWF Shieldmaiden Champion, Shea O'Hara!"
{At the conclusion of the match, Astrid pulls Shea to her feet and embraces her warmly before raising both their hands.}PLACEHOLDERWinner is Helena over Kathy via Pinfall.Alison Valance: The following contest is a Triple Threat match, and is for the IWF Diamonds Championship!
Terri Morasco: This is looking like it could be one of the most exciting matches of the night! Pandora Freeman defending her title against not one, but TWO would be contenders to her throne.
Vasco Dias: A travesty of justice, Terri. If that damn Brooklyn Madrox had tapped out a second sooner we wouldn’t be in this mess.
{“Over You” by Girlicious plays throughout the arena. Seventeen seconds into the song, Sara comes out to a negative reaction as she holds her hands in the air above her head, her index fingers pointed down at herself as she does a quick spin around before walking down to the ring, talking herself up to all of those in attendance and everyone watching at home.}Alison Valance: Introducing first - from San Diego, California, weighing 135 pounds…SARA Garcia!
{She jumps up on the apron, posing for the crowd, showing off her beauty before sitting on the middle rope and swinging her legs to the left, pulling the rest of her body in as well. She poses again for the crowd who boo as the settles into her corner readying herself for the match.}Terri Morasco: Sara Garcia entering without her sister tonight after Paige’s beating at the hands of Alexis Caffrey earlier this evening.
Vasco Dias: The Garicia brand is depending on Sara to keep it strong tonight, and it seems like much of the IWF doesn’t think Sara can cut it. She looks hungry to prove them wrong tonight, though.
Alison Valance: And her first opponent, from Kilkenny Ireland, representing The Council… the Wolf of the Abyss, Rowan MacDonnough!
{Lights out. The crashing cymbals and screeching opening chord of “Red Stars” by the Birthday Massacre ring out, and red smoke billows from either side of the entranceway as Rowan MacDonnough stalks out from behind the curtain, golden eyes glinting in the red light as they shift from side to side. The stage and ramp are lit by swirling red light, but everything else remains dark. Rowan lopes forward, unconsciously rolling her wrists as her eyes bore a hole in the air before her. The four hooded figures follow her, keeping pace. The smoke seems to follow them down the ramp as she walks, reaching up and grabbing the middle rope with one hand. Rowan hauls herself up onto the apron, standing and ducking between the middle and top rope to step inside the ring. She straightens up, slowly pacing towards the center of the ring as a spiraling pattern of red light appears on the mat, and her eyes scan the crowd, head moving in a jerky, animalistic pattern. She slowly, reluctantly backs towards a corner, eyes constantly moving as she settles in to wait for the bell.} Vasco Dias: Look at her. So damn sure of herself even after sneaking her way into this match that Sara earned!
Terri Morasco: While I’m not sure I agree with you that Rowan doesn’t deserve to be here, Vasco, I definitely agree that I wish she wasn’t. The idea that the Wolf of the Abyss could be just a few minutes away to being Diamonds Champion… I don’t even want to think on it!
Alison Valance: And lastly, from Hope Michigan, weighing in at 160 pounds – The IWF Diamonds Champion, PANDORAAAA FREEEEMAAAAAN!!!
{The lights dim, Even as the Intro to the song helps to light up UV, glow sticks, people waving and bouncing before the beat drops and out from under stage Pandora rises lit up like a Christmas tree by UV , as light slowly bleeds back to the arena Pandora dances down to the ring, easily gracing movements as she hops up the apron and climbs in before gripping the top rope and arching back down to touch the ring mat with her head and leaves her feet on the ground making quite the arch as she rises up slowly still bouncing to the music as she encourages the crowd to move with her.}Terri Morasco: The champion looks absolutely brimming with confidence tonight! Even in the face of two of the fiercest competitors in the IWF, there isn’t an ounce of fear on the face of Pandora Freeman. Whatever else you might say about her, you can’t deny that she’s unflappable – and a true fighting champion.
DING!
{The three women step forward into the ring, circling one another slowly as they wait for one another to make the first move. Rowan is laughing softly as she watches the two other women, Sara occasionally spouting an insult, while Pandora simply smiles and dances on the balls of her feet. Finally it is Rowan who proves unable to keep herself from holding back, and launches herself forward towards Pandora, roaring with brutal savagery. Pandora grins boldly into Rowan’s attack, but instead of meeting her spins off to the side… having seen Sara closing on Rowan with a furious Clothesline from the side, sending the Wolf of the Abyss to the mat!} Vasco Dias: I had a feeling that Rowan would be made to regret being in this match!
Terri Morasco: Sara Garcia hasn’t been hiding her contempt for Rowan this past couple of weeks, and has just been itching to kick Rowan to the curb! I may not be the biggest fan of the Garcia brand, but that was a sight to see!
{Pandora laughs as though honestly entertained as Sara turns to face her, spitting fire in the Champion’s face before the two of them clash. The two of them go straight to their technical roots for the confrontation, each one trying to gain the upper hand on the other. In the end, Pandora is able to capitalize on her more up-close style and pulls Sara into a nasty arm drag, taking her to the ground. Rowan has already gotten back onto her feet, circling the two women as they struggle, waiting for one of them to show weakness. Rowan’s presence distracts Pandora for a split second, giving Sara enough of an opportunity to pull Pandora into a double underhook backbreaker!} Terri Morasco: Sara’s not pulling ANY punches here tonight!
{Rowan seizes her chance, though, storming in with a laugh and grabbing Sara by the back of the throat, ripping the woman to her feet and throwing her bodily into the ropes. Rowan surges in to continue the assault, slamming Sara with a spinning back elbow strike to keep the other challenger dizzy. She keeps Sara pinned there with a vicious flurry of offense, not giving her the chance to utilize her superior technical game with the seemingly endless chain of staggering blows from the savage striker. All the while Rowan is laughing savagely, seeming completely unhinged as she unleashes herself on her opponent!} Vasco Dias: I’ve never seen Rowan like this before! That woman is truly off her nut!
Terri Morasco: She’s enjoying this, the carnage and the savagery! We’ve known since her debut that Rowan was bloodthirsty, but I think I preferred her when she was just dark and brooding. This is… I don’t like this at all.
Vasco Dias: Hold me, Terri, I need you to be my human shield.
{With a last, howling peal of laughter Rowan pulls back before charging forward again, crashing into Sara Garcia with a leaping knee strike that sends her careening over the ropes to ringside. With Sara temporarily dispatched, the Wolf of the Abyss whirls on Pandora, crouching like a feral beast as Pandora grins cockily into her fired-up opponent. Pandora seizes the initiative and strikes first, knowing what Rowan is capable of with just a little bit of momentum, dizzying Rowan with an enziguri! With Rowan off balance, Pandora rushes forward and grabs the Wolf of the abyss, pulling her into the HI-HATS COMBINATION! Rowan goes down, and Pandora pushes in for the cover!
ONE!
TWO! Rowan gets a shoulder up with authority as Sara Garcia makes her way back into the ring.} Terri Morasco: Solid offense and the first pinfall attempt from the Diamonds Champion!
Vasco Dias: But now Sara’s back in and focusing on Pandora. To say that the champion is at a disadvantage here is an understatement.
{Rowan rolls away as Sara and Pandora clash once again, for the second time engaging in a technical competition. This time, however, Pandora finds herself just a bit exhausted from the showy move she used against Rowan just a few moments ago, and now Sara is the one to find herself at an advantage. Sara is able to pull Pandora into a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, but doesn’t let go of the Champion to give her a chance to recover. Pandora finds herself dizzied as Sara works her over, eventually sending her crashing to the mat with a Facebuster! Sara goes for the cover!
ONE!
One is, however, all she gets as Pandora, almost on instinct, breaks out of the pin. Sara looks shocked at how quickly Pandora recovered as the Champion pulls herself to her feet, wobbling slightly but still smiling!}
Terri Morasco: The resiliency of Pandora Freeman!
Vasco Dias: For such a small girl she can surely laugh off a beating. Must be all that time she’s spending with Spike Kane.
Terri Morasco: What are you implying?
Vasco Dias: Watch the match Terri.
{Sara mouths off to Pandora, who simply laughs off whatever the other woman said, waving her away and seeming almost entirely casual… before suddenly exploding into motion and hitting Sara with the 300 BPM COMBO! The lightning fast series of superkicks sends Sara Garcia spinning away, and Pandora moves to capitalize when she falls… but doesn’t have the opportunity as Rowan appears to attack Pandora from the side with a European uppercut.} Terri Morasco: Nasty European Uppercut from Rowan…
Vasco Dias: We’re in Germany, Terri. I think you can just call it an uppercut here.
{Rowan now has a head of steam, and unleashes herself on Pandora, opening with an inverted facelock backbreaker pulled into a neckbreaker. Pandora does everything in her power to stay on her feet, but every time she rises the Wolf of the Abyss is happy to knock her back down again with another agonizing move. Pandora is beginning to show the results of the beating that’s been inflicted by both women on her back and head, and her reactions are coming just a hair too slow to halt the onslaught. After a methodical dismantling, Rowan slams Pandora to the mat with a Dance the Spiral! She looks ready to go for the pinfall… but doesn’t. Instead, Rowan simply stands above her, arms spread wide.} Rowan MacDonnough: COME ON! LET LOOSE! BRING IT ON! HIT ME!
Terri Morasco: Rowan’s been trying to bring out the worst in everyone else in the Diamonds Division, and seems to have been obsessed with the idea of turning Pandora into a monster… but I don’t think Pandora’s listening!
{Sure enough, Pandora simply laughs from the ground, a small trickle of blood leaking from the champion’s mouth as she shakes her head in refusal. Rowan’s eyes flash with anger, and she looks ready to redouble her offensive onslaught… but Sara Garcia returns to the ring, clinging to the top rope outside of Rowan’s field of vision… before leaping into the ring and taking her down with a Missile Dropkick to the back! Rowan goes down and Sara goes for the cover!
ONE!
TWO! Rowan gets a shoulder up again, recovering from the ambush as Pandora bolts to her feet! Sara moves away as Rowan rolls out under the bottom rope to ringside.} Vasco Dias: I love it when these ladies fly high!
{With a defiant peal of laughter, Pandora zips right past Sara Garcia and is on top of Rowan in a heartbeat, unloading on the prone Wolf of the Abyss with repeated declarations of “NEVER!”. Rowan is laughing again as Pandora unloads all of her frustration on the seemingly helpless Wolf of the Abyss, and for a moment it seems as though Pandora’s anger is about to get the better of her. A fan slides her a chair, and Pandora instinctively reaches out to grab it… but she suddenly stops. She shakes her head firmly, stopping the beatdown with reddened hands and stands, stepping back from Rowan.} Pandora Freeman: I’ll never be like you. I’ll win this my way.
{The crowd roars its approval as Pandora shakes her head, smiles, and leaps back into the ring leaving Rowan bloodied on the outside.}
Vasco Dias: I hope that Pandora doesn’t regret that!
Terri Morasco: She’s sticking to her guns, Vasco. Some people know that there’s more to being a champion than winning, and staying true to your heart and your fans is what Pandora’s all about.
{With Rowan out of the way, Pandora turns and locks eyes with Sara… only to find herself on the receiving end of the KNOCKOUT KISS! Pandora hits the mat, but Sara doesn’t cover… instead taking the dizzied champion and lifting her into the BOW TO THE QUEEN, locking it in before Pandora knows what’s hit her!}Vasco Dias: This is it! Sara’s about to put this away!
{Pandora struggles against the lock in the middle of the ring with nowhere to go, hand trembling over her thigh… but before she can tap, Rowan blitzes back into the ring with her eyes blazing, and Sara realizes a fraction of a second too late that her head’s at the perfect height for…} Terri Morasco: … oh no.
{Rowan slams into Sara Garcia with the BALOR’S GAZE, sending her crashing to the ground! Pandora tumbles from Sara’s grip to the mat, still wincing with pain from the agonizing submission finisher she was just forced to endure… and that pain leaves her vulnerable for Rowan to lift her up onto her shoulders. The crowd roars with a mixture of horror and bloodlust as they realize what’s about to happen… and Pandora is helpless to stop it! With one last laugh, Rowan brings Pandora Freeman crashing to the ground with the STORM OF THE MORRIGAN, and immediately goes for the cover!
ONE!
TWO!!
THREE!!!} Alison Valance: Here is your winner… and NEW IWF Diamonds Champion: ROWAN MACDONNOUGH!!!!
Terri Morasco: …Oh NO!
Vasco Dias: By God, Terri… it happened. Rowan MacDonnough…. The Wolf of the Abyss… is our new Diamonds Champion. What does this mean for the future of the division?
Terri Morasco: Only time will tell… but for now we know that not only does she lead the division, but the Council now controls one of the championships of the IWF. I fear a dark cloud has fallen over the company, and I only hope that it doesn’t last long.
{Rowan stands in the middle of the ring, clutching Pandora by the hair and holding her up like a trophy with her left hand and the Diamonds Belt in the other as Red Stars by Birthday Massace plays over her triumph. That’s the image that the audience is left with as the show cuts to commercial.}{The lights lower down, as a single spot light hits the curtain. The trumpets from 'Rebirth' by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony begin to play as Xavier Cross, Jason Sandman and Kole Kaos slowly begin to step out from behind the curtain. Cross stands with hands at either side, Jason and Kole besides him, together their right hands slowly begin rising up, gesturing a gun as they points it toward the ring. 'Pulling the trigger', the spotlight goes out, as pyro explodes up from the stage. The Council steps out of the smoke and light show and being to walk down the ramp.} Alison Valance: Now approaching the ring, they are Xavier Cross, Jason Sandman and Kole Kaos… THE COUNCIL!!!
{ Climbing the steps, Cross stops at the apron wiping his shoes, Jason and Kole head to opposite sides of the ring. Cross pauses for a moment grabbing onto the top rope, he spins around stretching his arms out. Turning back, he runs the apron to the turnbuckle, climbing it to the top and springboarding into the ring. Smacking his chest, he goes to one of the corners, grabbing onto the ropes he kneels down as Jason and Kole roll into the ring and join Cross at his sides. } Vasco Dias: The Council is a well oiled machine.
Terri Morasco: It’s hard to argue with you looking at the results since these men have joined up.
Vasco Dias: The Council is the dominate force in IWF right now and that is a lesson they are going to teach to Spike Kane, Mike Laszlo and Cable Arcane tonight.
Terri Morasco: I never thought I’d hear you side against Spike and Cable.
Vasco Dias: The Council is a unit, Spike, Cable and Mike are three men who were trying to kill each other one month ago.
Terri Morasco: Good point, you have to wonder if Cable, Mike and Spike will be able to work together long enough to win this match.
Vasco Dias: I don’t think they will be able to work together long enough to survive this match.
{The crowd grow silent as the lights go out, pyros explode abruptly as the drums and guitars kick in a pyro explodes around the stage.}"BORN INTO THIS WORLD, OF HATRED!"
{On the word "hatred" another pyro explodes either side of the ramp way as Spike Kane appears through the smoke. He stands with his arms outstretched, fists balled up soaking in the reaction from the crowd. After a few seconds he simply heads right to the ring, rolling under the bottom rope and standing right in the center of the ring, extending his arms once more, before the lights fade to normal and the music fades.}{ The lights in the arena dim and strobe red as "Long live the Chief” by Jidenna begins to play. }****as fighting over rings
****as wanna be the King, but
Long Live the Chief
For a li' ol' thang lil' boys bang bang
Long Live the Chief
****as fighting over rings
****as wanna be the king, but
Long Live the Chief
Now watch pretty mama while I slang my cane
Long Live the Chief
Uh
{ As the song kicks into gear Cable Arcane marches out onto the ramp with his head bowed and fists clenched, he stands at the center of the stage with a spot light shining down on him in the darkness. Finally Cable rolls his head to crack his neck and starts to make his way down the ramp with a determined look on his face, completely ignoring the crowd. As he reaches the steps he climbs up, taking his time before climbing into the ring one leg at a time. He marches to the center of the ring and throws both fists up into the air to a mix reaction from the crowd. }{"Cult of Personality" by Living Colour hits the sound system, Mike Laszlo walking out onto the stage, followed by Alexis Caffrey, to an abundance of cheers from the crowd. Surveying those who cheer, a grin comes over his face as he heads for the ring with a confident walk, Alexis by his side holding his other hand.}Ally: Making his way to the ring, accompanied to the ring by Alexis Caffrey, from Cleveland, Ohio, weighing 237 pounds…MIIIIKE LASZLOOOOO!
{The two get to the end of the ramp before Mike lifts Alexis onto the apron. She enters the ring as Mike rolls in under the bottom rope. He climbs the outside ropes to the top rope in the corner nearest the entrance ramp and poses for the crowd amassing a magnitude of cheers. He jumps down and goes to the opposite corner and does the same, garnering the same reaction. With a sly grin on his face he jumps down and backs into the corner, clasping his hands together and twirling his wrists as he gets ready for the match.}Vasco Dias: I never thought I’d see Spike Kane, Mike Laszlo and Cable Arcane on the same side of the ring.
Terri Morasco: Well Spike and Cable were members of the House of Howlett but I agree with you on Laszlo.
Vasco Dias: This would almost be a huge moment if they weren’t about to face off against the buzz saw that is the Council.
Terri Morasco: Well the Council is facing off against three former Imperial Champions, the longest reigning Man of Steel Champion and the only two time Imperial Champion not to mention the man who ended the reign of Angel Blake.
Vasco Dias: All amazing accolades but the Council is a unit and they are three egos looking for a reason to tear each other apart.
{ The lights in the arena all go out at "King of the World" by Porcelain and the Tramps begins to blare out of the PA system. Spotlights begin to scan the crowd before fixating on a figure at the top of the stage which is revealed to be Roberto Verona, his head bowed towards the floor. As cheers being to resonate around the arena Verona raises his head and he begins a slow methodical march down the ramp, the spotlight following him as golden pyro rains down from above on the stage. Verona stares with disgust at the crowd who cheer him as he approaches the ring, but he doesn't react to them. As he reaches the steps he slowly ascends them before walking towards the middle of the ring apron, turning around to look into the crowd one last time before looking up and closing his eyes as he stretches his arms out wide and basks in the adulation. After indulging himself Verona climbs into the ring, psyching himself up as he awaits the beginning of the match. }Terri Morasco: And here he is, the wild card, the CEO of the company, Roberto Verona.
Vasco Dias: It’s amazing to see Verona aligning himself with anyone against even an entity like the Council knowing his track record.
Terri Morasco: Roberto Verona never does anything unless it benefits himself and clearly watching these six men destroy each other is in Verona’s best interest.
Vasco Dias: That’s why I always say he is the Modern Day Einstein.
{ Roberto looks from corner to corner as all six men are ready to go. Eventually Verona asks them “WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!?” He calls for the bell and all six men collide in the center of the ring in a flurry of fists! }Vasco Dias: Here we go! All the while Verona watches with a smile. }Terri Morasco: I can’t help but notice the smile on Verona’s face as he watches the mayhem.
Vasco Dias: Roberto is a business man doing what is best for business.
Terri Morasco: Which just so happens to be watching six of his top stars rip each other apart!
Vasco Dias: Business is business!

Kole is getting up to his feet as Laszlo comes at him with a clothes line but Kole back body drops Laszlo on the padded floor. { The Council regroups on the outside as Laszlo joins Spike and Cable on the inside. }Terri Morasco: Mount Rushmore has the highground!
Vasco Dias: You under estimate the Council’s power!
Terri Morasco: Don’t be foolish Vasco!
{ Each member of the Council is at a different side of the ring when Cross gives the signal, each one reaches under the ring. Sandman pulls out a barbedwire wrapped chair, Cross pulls out a barbed wire wrapped bat and Kole Kaos pulls out a sledge hammer. Verona leans in a corner just watching. }Vasco Dias: You’re about to see the Council carve their faces into the annuls of IWF history! LITERALLY!
Terri Morasco: Jesus…
Vasco Dias: This is about to get really good!

{ Spike turns his back on Laszlo before heading up the ramp as his music plays. }Vasco Dias: "The time has come, Jake Conway challenges Andrew Jacobsen for the most prestigious title in Imperial Wrestling!"
Terri Morasco: "The anticipation has been building for weeks, both men come into this match with tons of momentum! But only one can walk away holding that title."
Vasco Dias: "It's hard to break down who has the advantage here, I mean, The North Star obviously can roll out of the ring, and walk away for a ten count, or retain via DQ, but we all know that isn't who Andrew Jacobsen is."
Terri Morasco: "To be frank, this has a match of the year potential written all over it. Conway is a veteran of many, many years of this company, and with all the experience in the world. But Andrew Jacobsen is in the prime of his career, there is a reason he is at the peak of the mountain in Professional Wrestling today."
Vasco Dias: "Let's turn it over to Alison Valance who's waiting in the center of the ring."
Alison Valance: "Ladies and Gentlemen, here is your MAIN EVENT!"
{The fans explode with the largest burst of energy tonight, they're licking their lips at the anticipation of the match ahead.}Alison Valance: "The following match is for the Imperial Championship, and will be decided by ONE FALL! First...the challenger!"
{The lights in the arena dim with the opening chords and then start to flash red, green, yellow and purple in a rotation as the guitar riff kicks in, joined by the drums. The titantron shows the silhouette of a woman with her hair blowing across her face and holding a playing card between the forefingers of her right hand, she flips it over in her fingers to reveal the Ace Of Spades, the symbol grows out of the card and gets larger with every repetition of the guitar riff until it envelops the screen. Huge flame pyros explode either side of the ramp as cards begin to fall from the rafters. The circular platform on which The Ace is stood with his back towards us and the Union Jack draped across his shoulders starts to turn.
The platform is decorated to look like a roulette wheel. Slowly it spins a full one-eighty degrees as we now see The Ace take a swig from the water bottle in his right hand and spit the water in the air. After the lyrics to "Brotherhood of Man" by Motorhead kick in, Kathy Conway appears on stage beside her husband and takes his hand as she leads him off the platform. He throws the bottle to one side.}Now your time has come
A storm of iron in the sky
War and murder come again
Lucky if you die}
{The couple walks down through the shower of falling cards, hand in hand, Kathy carrying her husband's rake in her other hand.}No way to rescue destiny
Scream and curse in vain
You will never be remembered
No one knows your name
When the music changes
Then all is broken down
Mighty cities laid to ruin
Burn into the ground}
{The Ace gets to the foot of the ramp and the cards stop falling, the couple shares a kiss before The Ace enters the ring himself, climbing the steel steps and getting the official to part the ropes for him as he steps through them. He walks over to the adjacent turnbuckle, climbing the second rope whilst an armed Kathy stays at ringside.}{The Ace raises both arms in the air.}Murder has become the law
You cannot make a stand
Chaos rules the world now, mortal
Brotherhood of Man
{The Ace climbs down and hands the flag over to a stagehand before he walks to the middle of the ring, and the song fades...}Alison Valance: "Standing at six feet, three inches...weighing in at two hundred and sixty pounds....From Birmingham, England....by way of Las Vegas, Nevada.....he is your number one contender....Jake...."THE ACE"....CONWAAAAAAY!"
{The fans are on their feet, Conway getting a mixed reaction from the crowd, some on his side, the others waiting for their champion. The Ace raises a brow, a signature smirk on his face.}Vasco Dias: "The Ace pulls out all the stops for his matches, and this would be no exception."
Terri Morasco: "I do love special wrestling entrances, and The Ace has one of the best in the business."
Vasco Dias: "And looking as focused as ever, Andrew Jacobsen may be in some trouble tonight."
Terri Morasco: "Trouble isn't something The North Star will shy away from."
Alison Valance: "And now....YOUR IMPERIAL CHAMPION!"
{The crowd comes unglued in this moment, as they wait for the best in the business.}{The opening riff of "Unbreakable" plays, sending the crowd into a frenzy, and as the drums kick in Andrew Jacobsen comes striding out onto the ramp, Danielle Chase a step behind him. He takes a few steps forward, looking to either side with a wide grin on his face. Andrew looks dead ahead at the ring, cracking his neck, and throws his arms out and head back as a burst of red and green pyro goes off to either side of him. Andrew and Danielle walk down the ramp, Andrew high-fiving fans as he goes, and he pulls himself up onto the apron, looking around at the fans with an infectious grin on his face. He climbs through the second rope and walks to a corner, checking his gloves and talking with Danielle as he waits for the match to start.}Alison Valance: "Standing at six feet two inches, weighing in at two hundred and thirty-five pounds. He is the reigning....defending....UNDISPUTED IMPERIAL CHAMPION OF THE WORLD! He is...THE NORTH STAR....ANDREW....JAAAACOOOOOBBBSEEEEN!"
Terri Morasco: "There is our champ! Looking as fired up as ever, and ready for a fight!"
Vasco Dias: "I've gone on record saying that I'm not the biggest North Star fan, but this kid, he's got that it factor, and tonight he will sharpen his blade against Conway."
Terri Morasco: "Jacobsen thrives as an underdog, but he's also proven himself a good favorite. This kid is the best thing in wrestling today, and tonight he looks to prove it once again."
Vasco Dias: "Favorite on not, the Ace is going to be a steep hill to climb.
