”Show of Force...”
----------------------------------------------------------
{As Sacrifice comes on the air Willy Carter sprints in the general direction of the locker room where the samurai is again standing guard, this time in regal green-and-white plate armor. Smirking as he does so Willy Carter nonetheless takes the note the samurai offers him and asks one question.}Willy Carter: {(pointing his finger in the chest of the samurai)} I know what you’re going to tell me. It’s the same thing you’ve told Maria Iniesta. But since the man who hired you, and I think we all know who it is, has not had the courage to reveal himself I have to ask: Are you a ceremonial person? Or do you have any strength to fight?
{The samurai, as has been his tendency, does not respond with words but instead with actions as he squeezes the hand of Willy Carter with tremendous force before popping the index and ring finger of the IWF interviewer, who quickly scurries off to the trainer to receive medical attention while the samurai again stands at the ready.}----------------------------------------------------------
CHAMPION VS CHAMPION SHOWCASE
King of Detroit Challenge Match
Jayson Matthews vs Ryan Shane
----------------------------------------------------------
{The camera cuts to the ringside area. There are ladders of varying heights set up along the ring and up the ramp. On either side of the ring are two stands that are made to perfectly hold a championship belt. The camera pans the crowd and you can feel their anticipation over the next match. In the ring Alison Valance stands with a microphone in hand. Above the bustle of the crowd she begins to speak.}Alison Valance: The following match is a reverse ladder match, to decide the King of Detroit! The winner of the match will be the first one to take their respective title and hang it on the hook above the ring!
{“Angry Heart” by Otherwise begins to play throughout the arena and the crowd boos loudly. The entrance ramp is dimly lit and Laura Howlett makes her way out from behind the curtain. The fans in attendance have no problem letting her know exactly what they think of her. Ryan Shane then makes his way out. He holds the Man of Steel title above his head as pyro goes off behind him.}Alison Valance: Introducing first, being accompanied to the ring by Laura Howlett, weighing two hundred and ten pounds, from Allen Park, Michigan, he is the IWF Man of Steel champion...Ryan Shane!!!
{Laura Howlett heads toward the ring with Ryan Shane following close behind her. When they get to the ring Shane slides in under the bottom rope as Howlett climbs the ring stairs. Ryan opens the ropes for her and she enters the ring. Once they are both in the ring the two share a kiss as Shane once again raises the Man of Steel title above his head.}Terri Morasco: I still can’t get used to seeing Ryan Shane and Laura Howlett together Vasco. This isn’t the Ryan Shane of a year ago.
Vasco Dias: He’s better! He’s making bold career moves and they’re paying off for him. Laura Howlett is only going to bring him to greater heights.
{The drum fill kicks in the door and the guitar riff of 311’s Perfect Mistake starts blasting over the PA system.}“Listen Up!”
{The arena lights start changing from orange to black on the beat and Jayson Matthews comes bouncing from behind the curtain and head banging to the riff. His Invictus Championship firmly around his waist. He jams to the verse as he starts to walk down the ramp, slapping fives with as many fans as he can on either side.}This is the next stage, we turn the page
We're gonna wreck a place when we take the stage
Roll up your sleeves, get down with me
It's going off in the pit like you wouldn't believe
Alison Valance: Weighing in at 200 pounds, hailing from Detroit, Michigan. He is the IWF InVICTUS Champion……JAYSON MATTHEWS!
{Jayson stands at the end of the ramp and stares into the ring and he starts to bounce up and down and hypes himself up and as soon as the chorus hits he dives into the ring forward rolls onto his feet and runs over to the side opposite the ramp and leans over the ring holding out his Championship. While the lights strobe orange and black.}“Ohhhhhhhhhh
See in it my eyes
Hold it in my hands
All those days that you wasted away
There was no one to blame
It's a perfect mistake
{He hops up on the turnbuckle and holds out the Invictus title with one arm and points to the crowd with his other hand. Thanking the fans for the cheers and displaying the title to the fans.}Terri Morasco: The Russian crowd loves Jayson Matthews. For long he’s been seen as an underdog, but lately he’s been proving he’s come a long way from the goofball we’ve seen in the past.
Vasco Dias: It seems all he’s doing is making a list of enemies. If you find yourself a target of Jason Sandman you’re doing something wrong.
Terri Morasco: Jayson has proved he can handle what The Council dishes out.
Vasco Dias: Ulf Hednir and Jason Sandman are two different beasts. Matthews is going to be reminded every single day when he looks at his hands what Sandman is willing to do.
{Shane and Matthews don’t take their eyes off each other and they hand their respective titles to the ring attendants. They place the titles on their stands. Laura Howlett exits the ring leaving only the two competitors. The sound of the bell gets the match underway.}DING DING DING
Terri Morasco: The match has just begun and Laura Howlett already getting involved as she hands Shane the Man of Steel title. It won’t do him much good without a ladder to climb.
Vasco Dias: Half the battle is getting the belt in the ring Terri!
{Shane with MoS title in hand smirks at Jayson Matthews. They circle each other and Shane tries to take off Matthews’ head with the belt. Jayson uses his speed to avoid it and starts peppering Shane on the chin with fists. As each one connects he grimaces from the pain. A rocked Shane falls to the mat and rolls outside of the ring.}Terri Morasco: The match has just started and Jayson Matthews is already feeling the effects of those burns on his hands.
Vasco Dias: I know this is anything goes, but did anyone check those taped hands of Matthews? I’m pretty sure he’s loaded something in there.
{Shane grabs one of the ladders from outside the ring and slides it into the ring under the bottom rope. He walks around the ring looking for an entrance point that Matthews isn’t blocking. He finally climbs the stairs as Jayson waves him in. We get a proper lockup and Shane takes advantage with a side headlock. Matthews tries to break it but Shane grabs a handful of hair and keeps it locked it. He then brings Jayson to the mat and keeps it locked in. Matthews doesn’t give in and he fights back to a standing position. From there he breaks the hold by lifting Shane up and dropping him on his back.}Terri Morasco: A big counter by Matthews. Shane is trying to wear him down early.
Vasco Dias: This match plays more to the strengths of Jayson Matthews, but Shane is too experienced to let that get in his way of victory.
{As Shane tries to get to his feet, Matthews hits a running knee which connects to the side of Ryan’s head. Shane rolls to the ropes and tries to pull himself up. Matthews charges him but Shane is able to pull the top rope down. Jayson is able to stay on the apron and avoid the floor. Ryan Shane doesn’t notice this.}Terri Morasco: The crowd gets behind Matthews as he is on the apron!
Vasco Dias: Watch out Shane!
Terri Morasco: Jayson Matthews springboards off the top rope and connects with a flying forearm to Ryan Shane!
{This drops Shane once again and with him on the mat Matthews begins to set up the ladder in the center of the ring. He checks on Shane and then rolls out of the ring to grab the Invictus title. Seeing an opportunity Shane scrambles to grab his MoS title and get up the ladder. Right before Jayson grabs his belt he has to roll back into the ring and climb the opposite side of the ladder. Shane is trying to hook his belt but Jayson starts unloading with fists once again. Matthews grabs the MoS title and tries to wrestle it away from Shane. The two fight over the belt, playing a game of tug of war. Another forearm from Matthews and Shane begins to fall from the ladder, the only thing saving him is hanging onto the MoS title. Matthews lets go on his end and Shane falls to the mat.}Terri Morasco: Shane just hit the mat hard.
Vasco Dias: Matthews is at the top of the ladder but he doesn’t have his belt. A lot of good that will do him.
{With amazing speed Jayson Matthews descends the ladder and gets to the outside where he finally gets his hands on the Invictus title. When he gets back in the ring he finds his way back to the top of the ladder quickly. He reaches for the hook as Shane gets to his feet. Shane starts grabbing at the leg of Jayson. Distracted, Matthews isn’t able to fully concentrate on hooking his title. He kicks at Shane but Ryan is able to grab his leg and slam his knee into the ladder. Ryan Shane then bends Jayson’s knee around the ladder and Matthews ends up hanging there. With Matthews helpless Ryan Shane smiles.}Terri Morasco: Shane just hit a dropkick to the knee of Matthews. It toppled the ladder but it may have grounded Jayson for good.
Vasco Dias: It shows you how smart Shane is. If Matthews can’t climb a ladder, he can’t win this match.
{With Matthews still tangled in the ladder, Ryan exits the ring and grabs a second one and slides it into the ring. He sets it up in the middle of the ring and begins to climb with the MoS title in hand. Matthews a little hobbled heads to the top rope instead of climbing the ladder. Throwing caution to the wind he leaps from the top and throws his body into the ladder. This sends Shane flying off the ladder and onto the top rope, clotheslining him. Matthews falls hard to the mat himself.}Terri Morasco: No pain, no gain, as Jayson Matthews just sacrificed his body to stop Ryan Shane from winning the match.
Vasco Dias: I don’t know how he expects to win on his back.
{Both men are down but Matthews is the first to get to his feet. He moves one of the ladders into the corner to get it out of the way. Jayson then stands the ladder up under the hook. He looks around for the Invictus title. Once he finds it he begins to climb the ladder once more. As he gets to the top he sees that Shane has made his way to his feet. Not wanting a repeat of earlier, as Shane approaches Jayson leaps off the ladder and hits his version of trouble in paradise.}Terri Morasco: The Jayson Matthews’ Experience! He might have just knocked Ryan Shane out cold.
Vasco Dias: Matthews gets back to his feet and is setting up the ladder again. C’mon Shane!
{Matthews is looking around for the Invictus title but can’t seem to find it. He didn’t know that it fell to the outside of the ring as he was flying from the ladder. It doesn’t take him long to realize it though as he sees Laura Howlett with the Invictus title in her hands.}Terri Morasco: Laura Howlett getting involved once again! Her being out here stacks the deck against Jayson Matthews.
Vasco Dias: She is just doing what she needs to for her client.
{Jayson Matthews has no choice but to exit the ring and try to retrieve his belt from Laura Howlett. The beautiful Laura makes her way around the ring avoiding Matthews. Jayson finally gets his hands on the Invictus title but before he can pull it away from Laura Howlett he finds himself on the end of a lungblower.}Terri Morasco: Someday Snap by Shane!
Vasco Dias: That’s going to turn the tide.
{With Matthews down Shane decides to follow up with the attack. He whips Matthews into the steel steps and then relentlessly stomps on him. Ryan reaches underneath the ring and pulls out a table. He sets it up ringside and then turns back to Matthews. Jayson starts to fight back but it’s short lived as Shane hits a kneeling jawbreaker followed by a dropkick to his knee. Ryan Shane then hits his version of a northern lights suplex to Matthews on the floor.}Terri Morasco: Right Nowthern Lights Suplex! Shane is not letting up.
Vasco Dias: This one is as good as over.
{Shane enters the ring and grabs the Man of Steel title. He raises it into the air and the crowd boos loudly. Ryan starts to climb the ladder and when he reaches the top he reaches for the hook. As he grabs it he can hear the crowd begin to cheer. He looks and he sees that Jayson Matthews has slowly made his way to the ring. A frustrated Shane turns toward Matthews and gets ready to leap from the ladder and connect with the MoS title to the head of Matthews}Vasco Dias: You have to be kidding me!
Terri Morasco: A superkick out of nowhere! Matthews has collapsed to the mat but the damage has been done.
{Both men are on the mat but are starting to come to. As they get to their feet Ryan Shane starts connecting with left hands, as he goes for a discus punch Matthews avoids it and hits a spinning backfist. Matthews takes Shane to the corner and places him on the ladder that he previously put there. He climbs the ladder in the middle of the ring, this time without his belt. He eyes Shane and leaps.}Terri Morasco: Matthews just came crashing through Shane with an elbow. They just bent the ladder in half!
Vasco Dias: At the rate this is going, we could be here awhile.
{As the two men pull themselves from the heap they struggle to their feet. They each spot their respective titles and go for them. Now with titles in hand they turn their attention toward the ladder. The both slowly make their way up separate sides of the ladder. When they reach the top they eye each and both go for the hook. As they fight over it Jayson drops his belt. Ryan smirks at him but Matthews bounces his head off the top of the ladder. Shane doesn’t fall off the ladder but he falls down it trying to shake the cobwebs from his head. With no title in his hands there is no point of Jayson Matthews being on the ladder.}Terri Morasco: A huge tornado DDT from Jayson Matthews just planted Shane into the mat!
Vasco Dias: Only the people in attendance care about that!
{Matthews gets to his feet first and grabs his Invictus title. He slowly makes his way up the ladder as the crowd cheers him on. As he reaches for the hook Ryan Shane starts to come to. He reaches the ladder and rocks it. As it becomes unstable Jayson can’t keep control of the hook. Before it topples over he leaps from the ladder and lands on his feet, slightly tweaking his knee. He shakes it off and goes after Shane. Ryan takes a swing at him but Jayson Matthews turns it into a submission hold. As he works over the arm of Shane, Ryan cries out in pain.}Terri Morasco: It looks like all that time in the gym with Nighthawk is paying off!
Vasco Dias: The gym is the only place Nighthawk belongs now. We know he won’t be stepping into the ring anytime soon.
{Knowing the hold won’t win him the match Jayson Matthews releases it. Ryan escapes to the outside and Laura Howlett checks on him. Matthews looks for the Invictus title while Shane grabs another ladder and slides it into the ring. Matthews seeing Shane entering the ring and goes to cut him off, Shane drops Matthews across the top rope. Jayson falls to the mat grabbing his throat.}Terri Morasco: Now Shane is back in the ring and is making the slow ascent up the ladder. Climbing a ladder is tough enough without having to carry a belt.
Vasco Dias: I assure you that Ryan Shane is a great multitasker.
{As Shane gets halfway up the ladder, Matthews gives chase. Jayson starts hitting Shane in the back. Ryan turns arounds and starts firing back from the higher position. A low blow by Jayson turns the tide. With Ryan Shane doubled over, Matthews hits a codebreaker to his ribs. Both men are on the mat, but Shane is in tremendous pain and trying to catch his breath.}Terri Morasco: RibKracker!
Vasco Dias: That wasn’t fair!
Terri Morasco: It was within the rules of the match Vasco!
{Matthews getting back to his feet needs a moment to catch his breath from the impact of the fall. This allows for Shane to partially recover from a move that would normally signal the end. From there he once more grabs the Invictus title and starts to climb. Shane still in a great deal of pain sets up a second ladder next to him. He finds the MoS title and starts his own climb.}Terri Morasco: Neither of these men willing to give up!
Vasco Dias: They both want to be King of Detroit, though I’m not sure why.
{The two men are fighting on top of both ladders. Matthews kicks the one Shane is standing on away, but he is able to jump to the same ladder as Jayson. This causes a rocking motion and the two men continue to fight as the ladder tips over. Both men fall off the ladder onto the table outside, breaking it in half.}Terri Morasco: Both men just crashed to the outside!
Vasco Dias: I think Jayson Matthews got the worst of it. It looks like Shane might have used him and a cushion.
{As both men are in a heap of wood they fight to get back to their feet and back into the match. Ryan gets to his feet first and starts stomping on Matthews, focusing on the knee.}Terri Morasco: Shane back to his feet and it looks like he spotted the Invictus title.
Vasco Dias: That’s the wrong belt Shane!
{Ryan Shane picks up the Invictus title and just shakes his head at it. He looks down at Jayson Matthews before tossing the belt up the ramp. The look at Matthews’ face is one of disbelief. He slowly crawls his way up the ramp to retrieve his championship. As he reaches the belt he notices that there is someone standing above it. He grabs the pant leg of the person and looks up to see Jason Sandman standing above. In his hands he’s holding a 2x4 wrapped in barbed wire.}Terri Morasco: What the hell is Jason Sandman doing out here?
Vasco Dias: If I had to venture a guess, he’s out here to beat the crap out of Jayson Matthews.
{Ryan Shane looks up the ramp and Jason Sandman just points at him and shakes his head. Matthews tries to fight off Sandman but is met with a shot from the 2x4. The barbed wire rips across the forehead of Jayson Matthews.}Terri Morasco: Jason Sandman is a psychopath! He just busted open the Invictus champion!
Vasco Dias: I don’t think he’s finished yet.
{Sandman continues to drive the barbed wire covered 2x4 into the forehead of Matthews, covering his face in a mask of blood. Inside of the ring Ryan Shane sets up a ladder and grabs the Man of Steel title. He climbs to the top and with no resistance from Matthews easily places the title on the hook.}DING DING DING
Alison Valance: The winner of the match, and the “King of Detroit”, the IWF Man of Steel champion, Ryan Shane!!!
{With victory in hand Ryan unhooks his MoS title and holds it high above his head as the crowd boos. From the ramp Matthews looks at Shane through his crimson mask in disappointment. Medical professional rush to check on him as “Angry Heart” blasts throughout the arena.}Terri Morasco: Jason Sandman just ruined what was a great match. Is there no lengths he won’t go to? It could only be a matter of time until he takes the Invictus championship from Jayson Matthews. But if I were Sandman I would be weary of the repercussions from these attacks.
Vasco Dias: That’s what happens when you make enemies Terri. Now let’s enjoy Ryan Shane’s victory.
{Inside of the ring Shane has climbed down the ladder and is celebrating with Laura Howlett.}----------------------------------------------------------

”Vasco’s Views, Featuring Devlin Raine”
----------------------------------------------------------
Vasco Dias: Earlier today I had the… Pleasure of interviewing would be Man of Steel Championship challenger and former champion, Devlin Raine…
{We cut to Vasco Dias sitting in his now patented interview are, “Vasco Views” plastered on the flat screen behind him. To his right sits the former Man of Steel Champion, Devlin Raine.}Vasco Dias: Welcome to the first official edition of Vasco Views! Lets get right down to the brass tacks with my guest here tonight, Mr Raine. You suffered a pretty substantial injury, are you really back at 100% and ready to get into the man of steel cage with an elite athlete like Ryan Shane?
{Devlin straightens up with a impish grin.}Devlin Raine: Funny you should ask that Vasco, I think you know as well as anyone there's no real thing as 100% . But as it stands I'm not only cleared to compete but I'm healthier now than I was when I faced Ryan last time
{Vasco nods his head as he looks over his notes then turns a questioning gaze toward Raine.}Vasco Dias: Be that as it may, Mr Shane has done nothing but improve since your injury and has even gone on to acquire the management skills of one, Laura Howlett, a legend in her own right. Do you really think with a less than fully healed knee you can stand up to perhaps the greatest man of steel champion this company has ever known?
{Devlin almost seems to take offense to the question.}Devlin Raine: Did I stutter Dias? Stop riding Shane and lemme correct your integrity, Spike Kane for better or worse held that belt longer and harder than anyone. Shane has turned into a bully. It's gone to his head. He is hurting people!
{Vasco quickly counters.}Vasco Dias: I would think by the very nature of the man of steel match hurting people would be the name of the game and while Spike Kane was a splendid champion no one has put more names on the shelf than the reigning man of steel champion, Ryan Shane.
{Now Devlin seems to be almost offended by the way Vasco appears to be defending Shane.}Devlin Raine: I Disagree Vasco I don't think it should be about who puts who on the shelf, if that were the case don't you think I would have done that myself? And I would argue that its only recently with Shane. It's hubris
Vasco Dias: A little envious you couldn't live up to the standard men like Ryan Shane and Spike Kane set before you?
{Vasco raises an eyebrow at his question but Raine doesn’t back down.}Devlin Raine: I won't lie Vasco, going down the way I did was not quite how I saw it. But I'm doing what I'm not only owed but what is right. I'm getting back on the damned horse
Vasco Dias: Unless of course Ryan Shane targets your obviously still injured knee and knocks you right off that horse, you mean?
{Now Raine shakes his head as he leans forward toward Vasco.}Devlin Raine: I'm not stupid Vasco .... but I assure you my knee is perfectly fine.
{Vasco rolls his eyes slightly at Devlin.}Vasco Dias: If you say so but tell me what gives you the right after being away for so long to jump the line back to a title match?
Devlin Raine: I'd have been right back in the line if it wasn't for medical, Dias! The rematch clause stands but if Shane or anyone else wants to see if I can still go? Then book me a match and I'll show you.
{Vasco leans back and holds up his hands.}Vasco Dias: Settle town. I'm merely asking the question that is on everyone's mind. Ryan Shane had to earn his title match against you, where as you seem to think you're entitled?
{Devlin seems irritated now.}Devlin Raine: If Shane or anyone else wants me to prove it, I will!
{Vasco simply smiles.}Vasco Dias: Hasn't he already?
{Devlin chuckles.}Devlin Raine: You were asking about me Dias, I said if he wants me to prove it, then I will. Keep up.
{Vasco nods his head, clearly he’s gotten all he’s getting out of Devlin Raine tonight.}Vasco Dias: Well Mr Raine I believe you've already "earned" your chance to do that. And on that point I wish you luck... you're going to need it.
Devlin Raine: Your concern touches me deeply.
{Raine pulls the mic from his collar before standing up and leaving the set. Vasco just sits back with a coy smirk on his face.}----------------------------------------------------------

”Entrance Denied”
----------------------------------------------------------
Terri Morasco: Ladies and gentlemen, earlier today, Cable Arcane tried to make his way into the arena here in Moscow, and well...things didn’t go as planned.
{A black Humvee Limousine comes to a stop in the parking garage of the Megasport Arena in Moscow. The driver exits his side of the vehicle and quickly ruses around to the rear passenger door where he opens it and moves out of the way as Cable Arcane steps out in a three piece grey Armani suit. Cable adjust the aviator sun glasses on his face before heading toward the arena entrance. Cable is met by two large guards who stand with arms crossed.}Guard 1: Name?
{Cable scoffs, insulted.}Cable Arcane: Cable Arcane.
{Neither guard checks a list or even seconds guesses before the first one speaks up again.}Guard 1: Entrance denied.
Cable Arcane: Excuse me?
{Cable is incredibly insulted.}Guard 1: Entrance denied by order of Roberto Verona.
Cable Arcane: Do you have any idea who I am?
Guard 2: We don’t care.
{Cable looks to both men, he’s ready for a fight but thinks better of it.}Cable Arcane: All right… Let Verona know I’ll be out here waiting for him.
{With that Cable backs off and heads toward his ride, the driver lets him back in but then stands guard at the door as opposed to getting back in the driver’s seat…} ----------------------------------------------------------

”You Know Where To Find Me.”
----------------------------------------------------------
{The crowd grow silent as the lights go out, pyros explode abruptly as the drums and guitars kick in a pyro explodes around the stage.}"BORN INTO THIS WORLD, OF HATRED!"
{On the word "hatred" another pyro explodes either side of the ramp way as Spike Kane appears through the smoke. He stands with his arms outstretched, fists balled up soaking in the reaction from the crowd. After a few seconds he simply heads right to the ring, rolling under the bottom rope and standing right in the center of the ring, extending his arms once more, before the lights fade to normal and the music fades.}Terri Morasco: Spike Kane has a match tonight with MAson St. Croix, but it isn’t scheduled for now.
Vasco Dias: He’s probably out here to tell Laszlo where to shove it!
{The crowd are heated as Spike stands in the ring, his facial expression betraying nothing. He then begins to raise the mic to his mouth.}Spike Kane: Xavier Cross and the Council now run IWF….
{His comment is met with a mixed reaction of boos and cheers.}Spike Kane: This is, in no small part, to Roberto Verona throwing Cable Arcane - and by proxy Laszlo and myself to the wolves. He handed them the victory, and I’m not going to deny it. The Council won, so I hold my hands up…..the thing is…..I spent the vast majority of that match getting my ass kicked….
{The crowd laugh, cheer, and boo as Spike nods his head.}Spike Kane: But it was never one on one, no….no, they’re not stupid enough for that. They played the numbers game, and my partners? They allowed it to happen…..because every punch, kick, or move I took? Was one they never had to. Don’t believe me? Go back and watch that match! Laszlo could have involved himself so much more than he did…..but he didn’t, he left me to get my ass kicked because he knew damn well he couldn’t do it himself! I know Mike! I know you still harbour ill feelings because I put you through a table, I just thought we were man enough to put that aside….
{Spike looks right down the hard cam as he talks now.}Spike Kane: I thought you were man enough to fight me, if you wanted a fight. I came out weeks ago saying I wanted the Imperial Championship, that hasn’t changed. I put it on hold to fight for IWF…..but IWF wouldn’t fight for me. So I’m done! I’m done pretending to be anything that what I am, and that is the very best at what I do. You want to fight me Mike? You know where to find me…..and if you’re too chicken shit for that? Then I guess I’ll have to come and find you!
{Spike drops the mic as he glares down the camera, bizarrely the crowd seem to be cheering Spike’s words and actions as “Hate by Design” plays once more over the speakers and Spike heads backstage.}----------------------------------------------------------
TWO ON ONE HANDICAP MATCH
By Executive Order of Roberto Verona
The Council (Ulf Hednir & Jason Sandman) vs James Gilmore
----------------------------------------------------------
{Cannons shooting jets of water blast high into the air as Digital Summer's "Playing the Saint" begins to play. A lone blue spotlight appears on-stage as James Gilmore steps in from behind the curtain, along with Lindsey Grawn in a Republican-red dress, sporting red, white, and blue all-American themed tights with matching boots and tassels and a T-shirt bearing the logo of his alma mater.}Vasco Dias: Welcome to the sacrifice of James Gilmore to the Council!
Terri Morasco: Getting ahead of yourself, don’t you think?
Vasco Dias: Not in the slightest, Sandman and Ulf are going to rip Gilmore limb from limb!
Terri Morasco: I may not like Gilmore but I’m not counting him out!
{Carrying his patriotic-themed surfboard with him, James heads down the ramp when suddenly Jason Sandman comes running out from the back and steam rolls Gilmore with a huge clothes line to the back of his head sending Gilmore rolling down the ramp!}Vasco Dias: Let the chaos begin!
Terri Morasco: Only you would support this mayhem!
Vasco Dias: I support the Council! The Council PREVAILS!
{Gilmore tries to get up but Sandman is right there with vicious stomps to his back and the back of his neck. Ulf now heads out from the back as Sandman pulls James up to his feet and then launches him shoulder first right into the steel steps!}Vasco Dias: Look at Sandman pick Gilmore apart!
Terri Morasco: Sandman attacked Gilmore from behind!
Vasco Dias: Sandman did what needed to be done!
Terri Morasaco: Ulf doesn’t seem to be as excited about this match as Sandman!
Vasco Dias: Ulf better get with the program!
{Sandman tosses the top of the steel steps as Gilmore lays against the ring apron. Jason takes James by the head and slams him face first into the steel steps as Ulf cuts the referee off who is trying to stop this. Sandman lines up his shot as Gilmore lays face down on the lower head of the steps. Sandman raises a boot up into the air then connects with Daddy’s Dental Work on James Gilmore!!!}Terri Morasco: Jesus Christ!!!
Vasco Dias: Sandman is trying to take Gilmore out! GOOD!!!
Terri Morasco: And Ulf is playing along!?
Vasco Dias: Like a good little soldier!!!
{Gilmore seems completely out of it but Sandman doesn’t stop. Jason pulls James up to his feet and throws him into the ring. Ulf pushes past the referee and joins Sandman in the ring, the referee rolls in to check on James but Sandman is already declaring the Council the winners.}Vasco Dias: Better just call the match in the Council’s favor before anyone else gets hurt.
Terri Morasco: I can’t believe you support this!
Vasco Dias: The Council MUST prevail!
{Sandman and Ulf seem pretty confident but James uses the referee to pull himself back up to his feet. The referee is telling him to call a quits but James shakes his head, Gilmore wants to fight.}Vasco Dias: This kid is an idiot.
Terri Morasco: Say what you want but James has the American fighting spirit.
Vasco Dias: The sort of fighting spirit that gets you nuked!
{Against his better judgement the referee calls for the bell and Ulf heads right for James but Gilmore connects with a front drop kick! Ulf is right up and runs right into a karate chop combo that ends with James hitting a back elbow into a snap mare followed up with a roll over neck breaker on the seated Ulf Hednir!}Terri Morasco: You counted Gilmore out but he isn’t done yet!
Vasco Dias: Gilmore may be getting in some lucky offense but there is no way he overcomes the offense of the Council!
Terri Morasco: Gilmore is looking pretty good right now!
Vasco Dias: For now!
{Gilmore is up, groggy but up. Ulf is trying to stand but James comes running in with the FILIBUSTER ON ULF!!! James goes for the cover but Jason is right there with a diving double axe handle before Gilmore even gets a one count.}Vasco Dias: The Council working like a well oiled machine!
Terri Morasco: Gang tactics, that’s all it is.
Vasco Dias: And it works!
{The referee forces Jason back to his corner as James gets up. Ulf is up next and comes for Gilmore but James catches him and lifts Ulf up for the WALL!!! Ulf boxes the ears of James and Gilmore lets Ulf down. Hednir sends James across the ring into the corner and follows him in with a stinger splash! Ulf sends James into the Council’s corner and follows Gilmore in with another stinger splash! Ulf backs up and catches the stumbling Gilmore with the Beserker Mode backfist!!!}Vasco Dias: Gilmore can’t stand up to the Council!
Terri Morasco: James has done his best but it was a numbers game from before the bell!
Vasco Dias: Don’t make excuses for Gilmore!
{Ulf tags in Jason Sandman who is salivating to step into the ring. Gilmore is slow to his feet and Sandman explodes out of his corner with a GORE TO THE BACK!!!Gilmore is down and Jason looks on with a sadistic smirk. Sandman yells out “ARE YOU WATCHING MATTHEWS!?” Before pulling Gilmore up off the mat and pulling James up into the HONORABLE DEATH PILE DRIVER!!!Gilmore is down and Sandman covers… ONE! TWO! THREE!!!}Vasco Dias: The Council PREVAILS!!!
Terri Morasco: They used the numbers game in their favor.
Vasco Dias: It was a two on one match, James knew that and the Council did as the match commanded.
Terri Morasco: Defend it however you like, James put up a good fight against two men.
Vasco Dias: Gilmore fought a losing battle against the predominant force in IWF TODAY!
{Ulf and Sandman stand triumphant as Sandman’s music plays.}----------------------------------------------------------
TRIPLE THREAT MATCH
Fiona McFly vs Sara Garcia vs Kathleen Conway
----------------------------------------------------------
Alison Valance: Ladies and gentlemen, the following is a Triple Threat Match!
{"I'm Shipping Up to Boston" by Dropkick Murphys kicks into high gear as Fiona McFly marches out on stage, takes a bow, and heads down to the ring--giving lucky fans quick pecks on the cheek along the way.}Terri Morasco: Fiona is the one who made this challenge, I don’t think she expected two people to answer.
Vasco Dias: Expect it or not, it’s what she got, and again, her mouth gets her in trouble.
Alison Valance: And her opponent…
{“Over You” by Girlicious plays throughout the arena. Seventeen seconds into the song, Sara comes out to a negative reaction as she holds her hand in the air above her head, her index finger pointed down at herself as she does a quick spin around before walking down to the ring, talking herself up to all of those in attendance and everyone watching at home.}Alison Valance: Accompanied to the ring by Paige Garcia, from San Diego, California, weighing 135 pounds…SARA Garcia!
{Sara jumps up on the apron, posing for the crowd, showing off her beauty before sitting on the middle rope and swinging her legs to the left, pulling the rest of her body in as well. She poses again for the crowd who boo as Sara waits for the match to begin.}Terri Morasco: Sara had a great showing at Lineage, but it was Rowan MacDonnough coming out on top.
Vasco Dias: She wasn’t pinned though, so I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s still up near the top of the list.
Alison Valance: And the third and final member of the match…
{The lights in the arena start to twinkle like diamonds, green, purple and red with the melodic holler and drum beat of ''Black and Silver" by Xandria. The chords of an organ punctuate the words as Kathleen Conway appears on the stage with one hand on her right hip and her husband, The Ace by her side. She begins her walk down the ramp, alongside her husband, Kathy has a smile on her face. At the foot of the ramp the couple share a kiss before Kathy gets to the ring and climbs on to the apron with her back to the ropes, she drops to one knee. She holds onto the ropes behind her as she flips her hair to the side and winks at The Ace before standing up and climbing through the middle rope into the ring. She walks to the middle and flips her hair again with a hand on her hip as the lights return to normal and the music fades.}Alison Valance: From Wichita, Kansas, weighing in at 123 pounds...THE QUEEN OF DIAMONDS...KATHLEEN CONWAY!
Terri Morasco: Sara seems to think that Mrs. Conway just inserted herself into the match to abuse her power.
Vasco Dias: I wouldn’t put it past her. However, once she got involved, Fiona tried to stack the deck against poor Sara...and for saying no to Fiona, I do find class in that maneuver of wanting to win on your own.
{The bell rings and the three women circle the ring, but it’s Sara tattooing Fiona in the face with a huge forearm shot that sends her rolling out of the ring and to the floor, and Conway sneaks up behind and rolls her up but only gets a two count. Sara gets up and tries to Clothesline Conway who ducks and as Sara bounces off the ropes, Kathleen lifts her up and over with a Tilt-a-Whirl Backbreaker!}Terri Morasco: Great move by Conway.
Vasco Dias: And she’s going for the cover again!
{The attempt gets to two before Fiona comes in and breaks up the pin. She grabs Conway and pulls her to her feet but Conway hits a forearm that rocks Fiona into the ropes. She sends her into the far side but Fiona slides through the legs of Katherine and as she turns around, Fiona hits her with a Dropkick, taking the Queen of Diamonds to the mat. She squirms over for the cover, but only gets a one count before she’s pulled off the cover by Sara who then locks her arms around Fiona, popping off a German Suplex, bridging for the cover, but only getting a two count before Conway interjects.}Terri Morasco: Doesn’t seem like anyone can get a clean pinfall here as long as the third wheel is around.
Vasco Dias: That’s why this type of match is so hard to win.
{Kat drags Sara to the ring and locks in a Single Leg Crab. Sara fights the hold, doing her best to get to the ropes, but Kat pulls her to the center of the ring and wrenches back on the hold, but it doesn’t last long as Fiona runs in with a Running Headscissor Takedown. She goes to capitalize but Kat rolls out of the ring. Fiona turns her attention to Sara who is holding her back, writhing in pain. Fiona scrambles over and hooks both legs of Sara but only gets a two count. Fiona smacks the mat in frustration before setting her gaze on the corner, and then down at Sara. She lifts Sara up and sets her in the corner, spreading her legs over the second rope.}Vasco Dias: This doesn’t look good.
Terri Morasco: We can’t even call this move due to it’s name...there’s kids watching.
{Fiona charges but Sara slides her legs out of the ring, avoiding the punt in the corner, pulling herself up, blocking a shot from Fiona, hitting her in the face, stumbling her back. As Sara comes in, Kat is also in, grabbing Fiona from behind. Before she can unleash what looks like a German Suplex, Sara looks to hit Fiona with a “Knockout Kiss” (Standing Sidekick) but Fiona ducks and Kat eats one right on the jaw!}Terri Morasco: Fiona got out of the way at the last second.
Vasco Dias: Yeah, and Kat ate one right on the jaw. LOOK!
{Fiona rolls Sara up and only gets a two count before the two spring to their feet with Fiona going for a Clothesline, but Sara ducks, turning and grabbing Fiona by the shoulder, kicking her in the gut and lifting her into a Cradle position before dropping her with a hard DDT!}Terri Morasco: She calls that the “Moment of Bliss”!
Vasco Dias: What impact!
{Fiona is rolled onto her back and Sara hooks the leg…
1!
2!!
3!!!
The bell rings.}Alison Valance: Here is your winner by pinfall...SARA...GAAAAAARCIA!
{Sara’s hand is raised in victory as “Over You” plays throughout the arena.}Terri Morasco: A huge win for Sara.
Vasco Dias: She may not be in her sister’s shadow anymore, but she is sure following in her footsteps of dominance!
{Sara heads up the ramp continuing her celebration with a smile on her face as we fade away to darkness.}----------------------------------------------------------
IWF SHIELDMAIDEN
Kate Steele vs Shea O’Hara (C)
----------------------------------------------------------
{A highly contested match to be sure, and neither willing to give up. Shea hits the T-Bone Suplex she calls the “Sweet Little Machine” and the referee makes the three count. Unknown to him though, due to his positioning, Kate was able to get her hand on the bottom rope, leading to a little controversy though Shea was declared the winner of the match, retaining her Shieldmaiden Championship.}----------------------------------------------------------
TRIPLE THREAT MATCH
By Executive Order of Roberto Verona, The Council are barred from ringside.
Dre Cutler vs Derek Brooks vs Xavier Cross
----------------------------------------------------------
{The lights lower down, as a single spot light hits the curtain. The trumpets from 'Rebirth' by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony begin to play as Cross slowly begins to step out from behind the curtain, hood up. Hands at either side, his right hand slowly begins rising up, gesturing a gun as he points it to his head. 'Pulling the trigger', the spotlight goes out, as pyro explodes up from the stage. Cross steps out of the smoke and light show, flipping his hood back as he walks down the ramp.} Alison Valance: "....He stands at Six Feet...three inches, weighing in at Two-Hundred, and Thirty-One pounds. Xavier.......CROOOOOSSSS!"
{Climbing the steps, Cross stops at the apron wiping his shoes. He pauses for a moment grabbing onto the top rope, he spins around stretching his arms out. Turning back, he runs the apron to the turnbuckle, climbing it to the top and springboarding into the ring. Smacking his chest, he goes to one of the corners, grabbing onto the ropes he kneels down waiting for the match to begin} Vasco Dias: "The Council is banned from ring side, but Xavier Cross looks as ready as ever!"
Terri Morasco: "This may be the first fair match Xavier has had in IWF, none of his lackies will be jumping in to save the day this time!"
{"Die This Way" by Hopsin hits the speaker system. The crowd buzzes in anticipation as the bass from the song rattle through their chests. The curtain brushes aside and Dre Cutler hops onto the stage, squatting down with his elbows on his thighs as he examines the crowd, a smile on his face. He stands up, head bobbing to the music, and kisses index and middle fingers and points them to the heavens above. He bounces towards the ring and slides under the bottom rope. He makes his way to a neutral corner and does some quick stretches as he waits for the match to start.}Vasco Dias: "Dre Cutler has to be looking to pull out the stops tonight, he is gonna want some momentum in the Throne tournament."
Terri Morasco: "It seems Dre hasn't been full hearted in the company lately, it's a good chance for him to turn that around tonight with a big statement win."
{The synthesized beginning of "Remember The Name" by Fort Minor begins to play as the crowd grows silent.}YOU READYYYY!?
LET'S GO!
{The beat breaks in and the strobe lights around the arena go with said beat as the crowd begins to amp up.}"This is ten percent luck..."
{As the lyrics begin a single spotlight shines on the man known as "Greatness" before he glances over his shoulder, staring down at the ring. With a concentrated look he slowly turns and starts down to the ring as he's announced.}Alison Valance: From New York City, weighing in at 265 pounds, he is "Greatness Personified"...DEREK BROOKS!
{He holds out his arms at the end of the walkway as his name echoes throughout the arena as the fans cheer him on. He climbs the stairs and walks along the apron to the corner where he ascends and looks out to the crowd before flinging his arm in the air much to their appease. He jumps down and steps through the ropes, walking to the center, bouncing around, light as a cat despite his large frame as he gazes out to the crowd before snapping around, climbing the corner and flinging his arm in the air again as the flashbulbs go off everywhere. He jumps down and continues bouncing from one foot to the other in a graceful manner as he waits for the match to begin.}Vasco Dias: "And here we have Derek Brooks, probably the most underrated superstar in IWF."
Terri Morasco: "He has all the talent, and just look at his body...but it seems his mouth bites off more than he can chew."
Vasco Dias: "Tonight would be the perfect time for him to explode out of the midcard, and claim a top spot in the Throne Tournament!"
{The three men square off, glancing back and forth at either opponent, the ref calls for the bell as the fans are already excited for the triple threat. Brooks steps out of his corner first, posturing for the crowd who isn't having any of it as they begin to boo him. Cross smirks, as he glances over at Dre who is staring him down. Cross motions for him to come get him if he wants to stare so bad. The two men meet at the center of the ring ropes before exchanging blows. Brooks hears the fans get excited, turning to see it he growls being shown up by Dre and Cross. Brooks charges over looking to take both men out, Cross and Cutler look at each other, before ducking down as the dump Brooks over the ring ropes and onto the floor below. Cutler leans over the ropes, looking at Brooks but is caught on the side of the head with a hard high kick from Cross forcing him backward into the corner. Cross turns, hitting the ring ropes he gets more momentum as he splashes into Cutler with a diving forearm into the corner. Cutler staggers out, as he is spun back around by Xavier Cross who lifts him up with a verticle suplex but drops him straight down into a knee lifting planting right into Dre's face. Cross goes to pin, but his foot is grabbed by Derek Brooks from the outside, taken off his feet, he is dragged to the outside by Brooks. Cross swings but Brooks blocks it, sending a hard right of his own sending Cross staggering back, Brooks fires off another right as Cross staggers backward trying to get away from the hard rights.}Vasco Dias: "Cross has come out on fire this match, a little team work with Cutler, and then trying to break Cutler's face with that knee lift!"
Terri Morasco: "But Derek Brooks is gonna beat him all around this Russian Ringside!"
{Derek Brooks is doing just that, with each right he fires off Cross clutches his face staggering back. Grabbing onto the ring apron, Brooks looks to swing another hard punch at Cross but is stopped by a hard kick to his thigh. The two men begin to exchange blows but are suddenly sent into the announce table as Dre Cutler has charged forward hitting a baseball slide dropkick into both men. Cross hits the side of the announce table flipping over it spilling between Vasco and Terri. Derek staggers and falls shoulder first into the timekeeper's area. Cutler picks himself up, as he stares at Brooks waiting for him to get up. Once Brooks gets to his knees, Cutler hits the opposite rope gaining momentum he charges forward diving through the ropes with a suicide dive. But Brooks shows off his insane strength catching Cutler in mid air, spinning and hitting a vicious spine buster through the Spanish announce table Brooks stands over Cutler, as he dusts his hands off. Leaning down he picks up the young superstar as he tosses him back into the ring. Derek climbs up onto the ring apron, glancing back seeing Cross was still laid out behind the announce table.}Vasco Dias: "Xavier Cross is laid out...wait what are you doing?"
{The camera pans to Xavier Cross eating a hotdog}Vasco Dias: "Xavier Cross is having a snack!"
Terri Morasco: "Where did he get that hot dog?!"
{A hotdog vender is standing behind them, as he hands Cross a thing of cotton candy.}Vasco Dias: "Are...are you not taking this seriously?"
{Cross shrugs his shoulders.}Terri Morasco: "Focus Vasco! The Spanish announce table was just destroyed by Derek Brooks!"
Vasco Dias: "Cutler was ready to win this thing in a few moves, but Derek Brooks put those ideals on hold real fast."
{Derek gets into the ring, as he looks down at a laid out Cutler, who is clutching his lower back in pain. Kneeling down, Brooks looks to keep his offense going, but Cutler reaches out grabbing him by the side of the head and rolls him up with a small package, the ref slides down to count it.}Ref: One...two...
{Brooks kicks out at two, caught off guard he quickly gets to his feet looking angry now. He grabs Cutler's hand, dragging the young man to his feet before throwing a vicious clothesline to Cutler. But Brooks isn't letting go of his hand, picking him up, and jerking him into another clothesline. Brooks lifts Cutler up once more, and as he's about to pull Cutler in for another clothesline...Cross springboards off the top rope, catching both men with a drop kick. Cutler and Brooks bounce back into the adjacent corners. Cross rolls to his feet, wiping mustard off his face. He points at Cutler, as he charges forward hitting a big forearm splash into the face of Dre Cutler. Stepping back a bit, he points at Derek Brooks, the fans are getting riled up as he charges forward aiming a forearm splash, but Derek steps out of the way and Cross eats the corner. Brooks charges at Cross, who ducks, as Brooks nearly runs over Cutler who gets out of the way in time. Cross steps forward, sending a hard forearm into the side of Cutler's jaw, but Dre responds with a hard right of his own. Brooks comes out of his corner now, sending a hard left at Cross who staggers into Cutler who catches him in the stomach with a jab. Cross headbutts Cutler forcing him to put space between the two as he sends a hard kick into the calf of Derek Brooks. The three men exchange blows, Cross getting the worst of it as Brooks and Cutler begin to team up forcing him into the corner.}Vasco Dias: "Xavier Cross is being out gunned right now by Derek Brooks and Dre Cutler who have formed some kind of alliance."
Terri Morasco: "You know you want to win when you team up with a guy who put you through a table."
Vasco Dias: "I was surprised to see Cross being able to hang with the double team for a bit, but it doesn't take long to get overwhelmed when you're dodging punches from every side."
{Cutler begins sending repeated shoulder smashes into Cross's midsection as Brooks hops to the outside, as he reigns down chops on Cross's chest. The onslaught goes on, as Cross is flailing his arms around like a mad man, laughing with each impact until Cutler slams into his gut, and Cross spits out blood. His eyes grow big, as Brooks sends a hard elbow into the side of his head. Cross begins to go limp in the corner as Brooks backs off.}Vasco Dias: "Jesus Christ, Xavier just went blank."
{With Xavier out of the equation, Derek and Dre are now in the center of the ring, talking to one another, and not in a nice manner. Derek then hauls off and slaps him in the face. The two start hammering away at one another, rapid fire. Derek ducks one of Dre’s shots and goes for the “Display of Greatness” Rock Bottom, but Dre elbows his way out of it before running to the ropes and SPINEBUSTER BY DEREK!}Terri Morasco: He hit that out of nowhere!
Vasco Dias: And now he’s locked in the SUBMIT TO GREATNESS!
{Cross is out and there’s seemingly nowhere for Dre to go, he even has his hand in the air like he’s going to tap out when all of a sudden Mikhail Federov nails Brooks from behind, sending him through the ropes and to the outside of the ring. He follows him out and that’s when Derek hits him with a right hand.}Terri Morasco: This man attacked Derek last week, and he’s at it again.
Vasco Dias: Yeah, but this week, Derek is fighting back.
{Derek hits a few more shots before the big man plants a knee in his gut and literally throws him into the steps, Derek going knees first, flipping over the stairs.}Terri Morasco: The power of that man.
Vasco Dias: He’s dragging Derek up the ramp.
{He lifts Derek to his feet and onto his shoulders, driving him into the stage equipment before pulling him out and slamming him on the stage!}Terri Morasco: He’s just destroyed Derek Brooks!
{Meanwhile back in the ring, Cross is still out from the assault, and Dre is slow to his feet after the Sharpshooter. Cross is slow to his feet as Dre steps to the outside, looking for the “Dre Says Hey” when...}Terri Morasco: "What the hell!?"
{A fan has jumped the barricade, wearing an authentic Steve Awesome mask, he grabs hold of Dre who sprung onto the top rope to execute his move and shoves him forward, sending him flipping through the air. The man gets in as security goes to grab him, missing his legs, and he fires off a Superkick to the face of Dre Cutler. Security finally gets in and manages to grab at him, ripping away the mask...}Vasco Dias: "BY GOD IT'S STEVE AWESOME!"
{Steve holds his hands up, as security escorts him up the ramp. Xavier sees Dre out cold in the center of the ring after the Superkick and merely falls on the cover.}Referee: One...two....three!
{Cross pops to his feet as he staggers back wiping the blood from his mouth. Looking around, he turns to the ring ramp looking for Steve Awesome, Cross wrecked with confusion, slides out of the ring and hurries to the back not taking a moment to celebrate.}Vasco Dias: "Steve Awesome just saved and won that match for Xavier Cross!"
Terri Morasco: "Did...did Steve Awesome join the Council?"
Vasco Dias: "Wait...wait, I'm told we have Willy Carter backstage with Steve Awesome...we're gonna send you to live backstage!"
----------------------------------------------------------
SEGMENT
”What the?”
----------------------------------------------------------
{Willy Carter is standing next to Steve Awesome, who is wearing a black t-shirt, with a tricked out cartoon-style van, with a giant mustache on the front. He runs a hand through his hair as Willy asks him a question.}Willy Carter: "Why...what exactly are you doing out there helping Xavier Cross."
{Steve leans down in the microphone, about to answer but looks up. The camera pans out to show Xavier Cross standing there staring at Steve.}Xavier Cross: "What's the deal, Steve? You want to make lemonade outta life lemons, or are you gonna be the dullest crayon in the shed?"
Willy Carter: "I think it's the sharpest tool in the shed Xavier."
{Steve looks at Cross, then at Willy, before turning and walking away, leaving the two men to argue over metaphors. }Vasco Dias: "So...is Steve a Council member or not?"
Terri Morasco: "I think his silence speaks volumes!"
Vasco Dias: "That doesn't make any sense!"

SINGLES MATCH
By Executive Order of Roberto Verona
Mason St. Croix vs Spike Kane
----------------------------------------------------------
"The War Isn't Over Yet" by Eye Empire begins playing and blue and white pyro shoots out from the walkway as Mason St. Croix stares straight ahead with his eyes focus on his opponent and walks at a marching pace towards the ring . Once in the ring Mason climbs all four turnbuckles one at a time before hopping down and taking the center of the ring where he stands at attention, his eyes never moving from his opponent.
Terri Morasco: Here is Mason St. Croix, eager to prove himself in this match made by Roberto Verona, with some enticing Heir to the Throne points up for grabs.
After a few seconds he simply heads right to the ring, rolling under the bottom rope and standing right in the center of the ring, extending his arms once more, before the lights fade to normal and the music fades.}Vasco Dias: And here comes Spike Kane! The God of Xtreme, the Blood God! The King of IWF!
{As the crowd begins to calm down Spike Kane walks into the middle of the ring and extends his hand towards Mason St. Croix. At first Mason is hesitant to take it, but the crowd egg him on enough to step forward and take it. The two have a firm handshake, looking each other in the eyes, as Spike nods at him before backing to his corner while the referee calls for the bell to start the match.}Terri Morasco: Uncharacteristically respectful of Spike there.
Vasco Dias: Hey, if Spike Kane offers you a handshake he either respects you, or wants to put a knife in your back. Both are an honor.
{Both men come out of their corners with a flourish and go right into a lock up. A test of strength ensues, and just as it looks like Spike is going to get the advantage, Mason drops to a knee and takes Spike over with a fireman's carry. Spike rolls through and right to his feet as Mason swings with a huge lariat. Somehow Spike manages to duck underneath and slams the breaks on catching the unaware Mason St. Croix with a “superfast” superkick dropping the Army Ranger to the floor. Mason scrambles to the corner and holds his mouth, looking up at Spike a little surprised. The two share a nod of acknowledgement.}Vasco Dias: Stop playing with him and break him already!
Terri Morasco: I see you think that’s why Verona booked this match?
Vasco Dias: Why else would he? Spike’s made a career out of breaking people.
Terri Morasco: Maybe he’s turning over a new leaf?
{Mason pulls himself to his feet now, and begins to circle Spike. Kane steps in and lunges with a wild right, but Mason ducks underneath and bolts towards the opposite ropes. As Spike turns around St. Croix takes him off guard with the WARPATH!!! He slams Spike down and just stands there for a moment posing. Spike scrambles backwards now to the turnbuckle, and nods his head. Signalling that both men, clearly have each others number in this match up.}Vasco Dias: This is getting annoying. Why aren’t they pressing their advantage?
Terri Morasco: There’s mutual respect on display here Vasco, but I guess you’ve never seen that because nobody respects you.
{Spike pulls himself up now and the two collide in the middle of the ring, they begin to throw bombs at each other, lefts and rights, before Mason gets the advantage! He hits Spike with right hook to the body, then a left to the body before nailing Kane with a elbow to the temble completing the St. Croix Combo! The crowd are on their feet and Spike is still standing, but dazed, and wobbling in the middle of the ring. Mason grunts as he hefts Spike up onto his shoulders, looking for the Bombs Over Baghdad but just as he goes to elevate, Spike rolls forwards off his shoulders, he hits the ropes and comes back looking for the Bloody Sunday! BUT MASON DODGES! He hooks Spike from behind and hits him with the ROAD RASH!!! The crowd are going nuts for this exchange, as St. Croix scrambles for the cover.}Terri Morasco: What an exchange!
Vasco Dias: Wow they really have each other scouted.
{The ref slides in for the cover…..ONE! …..TWO!-KICKOUT! Mason sits up after Spike kicks out, a little frustrated, but almost as if he knew it wasn’t enough. Spike is trying to roll onto all fours but as he does Mason rolls over and locks in the RECKONING!!!! The crowd are losing their minds as Mason locks in his submission finisher. Spike is desperately scrambling for the ropes, reaching, clawing, doing everything he can to try and get there.}Vasco Dias: Nooooo!!!!
Terri Morasco: Mason could have it here! Think of those Heir to the Throne points!
{Just as it looks like Spike is about to tap, he makes one huge lunge and pretty much collapses on the ropes. The ref comes to tell MAson to break the hold, but Mason is staring forwards out into the crowd, a lost look on his face. He grimaces as he tightens the hold and the referee begins to count him….ONE! ….TWO! ….THREE! ….FOUR! - Mason seems to snap too and realise what he’s doing, and release the hold, dropping a very grateful Spike Kane. St. Croix gets to his feet and backs off a little, trying to shake the cobwebs loose as the referee gives him a telling off.}Vasco Dias: Where the hell did Mason go?
Terri Morasco: He looked like he zoned out for a moment there.
{As Mason comes too properly he sees Spike on his feet, trying to roll his neck and get rid of the pain. He comes forwards for a lock up, but Spike sends a swift kick to the gut and almost out of nowhere nails Mason with the THUNDERSTRUCK!!!! Spike scrambles after Mason as he bounces away for the cover…..ONE! ….TWO! ….THRE-NO!!! MASON KICKS OUT OF THE THUNDERSTRUCK!!!}Vasco Dias: WHAT!?!?
Terri Morasco: Holy cow! Mason St. Croix just kicked out of a move that has ended title reigns and careers!
{Spike can’t believe what has just happened, but he looks down at MAson and gives him another little nod as if to say “fair play” before he slowly drags Mason back to his feet. He goes to lock him up, but St. Croix sends a huge european uppercut to the jaw of Kane rocking him.before nailing Spike with the Recoil! Both men lay on the floor, taking long, and deep breaths. The referee checks on both men, before beginning his ten count…..ONE! …...TWO! …..THREE!}Vasco Dias: Aww come on, it can’t end like this!
Terri Morasco: I wouldn’t count either man out at this point Vasco!
{Both men are trying to stir…..FOUR! …...FIVE!........SIX! ……..SEVEN! ….Mason grabs the ropes, Spike grabs the turnbuckle…...EIGHT! …..NINE! ….-Just as the referee is about to call the ten both men lunge to their feet. They both wobble towards each other. Spike sends a stiff shot to Masons jaw, Mason responds with one of his own, but Spike bursts through the shot and straight up headbutts Mason St. Croix in the face! He then grabs the staggered Ranger and lifts him up into the air…..SPIKE IMPAILER!!!! Spike rolls through to the cover and the ref slides in…...ONE! …..TWO! ……...THREE!!! The bell rings and Spike’s music begins to play instantly. The referee holds Spike’s hand in the air, and there’s a fair amount of cheers from the crowd. Mason is pulling himself to his feet looking defeated, but Spike walks over to him and lifts his arm into the air, for all the crowd to see. He then extends his hand and Mason takes it with another firm handshake, before Mason exits the ring to let Spike celebrate}Vasco Dias: What is this nonsense!? Kick his ass!
Terri Morasco: What a remarkable display of class and respect by Spike Kane, and well played by Mason St. Croix who almost had this one.

{We see Roberto Verona come through the loading dock exit of the Megasport arena, the two guards standing watch move out of his way as he comes to stop, eyeing up the Humvee limo. Roberto points the two men toward the elongated truck and they both move in that direction as Verona turns to his right and heads toward his own waiting limo.}Cable Arcane: Headed somewhere?
{Verona stops dead in his tracks, slowly turning to face Cable Arcane who is only twenty or so feet away.}Roberto Verona: As a matter of fact, I was.
Cable Arcane: You better call ahead, you’re going to be late.
{Cable steps toward Verona but Roberto laughs.}Roberto Verona: Actually, I’m exactly where I want to be.
{Cable raises an eyebrow and never sees the large bearded man come roaring out of the shadows and crashing into Arcane with a huge shoulder block! Arcane goes flying and lands hard on the concrete floor as Verona nods to the larger man.}Roberto Verona: Do as your paid.
{The large man nods as Verona turns back toward his own limo and walks away. Cable tries to stand but the big man comes running at Arcane again with another huge shoulder block that sends Arcane back first into the fender of his own Humvee. Arcane tries to push forward but the behemoth of a man scoops Cable up onto his shoulder, he lets out another huge roar before spinning around quickly and hitting a huge powerslam onto the concrete floor!!!Cable is down and out as the big man stands over him breathing heavy with a grin.}----------------------------------------------------------
