10 October 2017 + 2230 GMT PENN PRESBYTERIAN MEDICAL CENTER + WEST PHILADELPHIA
It had been the longest 24 hours of Fiona McFly's life.
She had never suffered as much agony as she did nearly 24 hours ago, at that infamous Pennsylvania ghost-town and, more specifically, Rowan's compound. Fiona had her match with Lindsey Grawn, one of the more uncivilsed and barbaric moments she had ever endured. Yet deep in her mind, as she laid in her hospital bed with a heavily-bandaged upper-left arm and a cast on a broken left hand, Fiona had done what many had thought was unthinkable:
She had survived Rowan's onslaught and escaped, saving her biggest enemy in the process.
Yet all she wanted to know was one simple thing: why? Why would her own mother put a bounty on her that included her own family's five centuries-old farmland north-northwest of Belfast? Why would Lindsey Grawn, a young Texas woman fresh-faced out of the University of Michigan with two degrees, would take such a mission to begin with. She knew that the answers weren't going to be easy to find.
Yet one thing was certain in Fiona's eyes. She was going to be in a world of shit from Rowan McDonnough.
And Lindsey--the woman she showed mercy and compassion to--would owe McFly a life debt.
It was truly a sad situation on both fronts, yet it could've ended MUCH worse had Fiona not done what she did.

Vivienne will arrive at the hospital with a small box and a ballon in her arms. Ciara waits in the lobby playing on her phone as Vivienne talks to the nurse at the desk. It might have been a silly thing to do, having Ciara drive her all the way out here to check on a girl she barely knew. But she felt responsible in a roundabout way. She'd encouraged Fiona to do it. She'd offered to do it herself, so had Gabrielle . But Fiona had been the one to go. She'd been the one to enter that hell.
Viv knocked on the outside of the room Fiona was in. She smiled.
"Hey, Fiona. Hope it's okay I stopped by. I got you a get well ballon and a donut."

Fiona smiled, gazing at the lone chocolate cake donut on a paper plate whilst tying the singular balloon next to her bed on a rail. She took a small bite and lovingly nodded.
FIONA MCFLY: Awww Vivi...you really didn't have to do that.
The Northern Irishwoman wiped away the joyful, happy tears from her brow.
FIONA: Just wait 'til you see me husband's cooking. His barbecue pizzas and burgers are amazing, along with THE "big breakfast." Ham, bacon, cheese, and onion omelette, fried potatoes, chocolate-chip pancakes, and coffee...he loves cooking.
Fiona reached over to her room's lone desk and handed Vivi a package--a brand-new iPhone 8S that she had purchased from an AT&T Store at her hotel prior to her taking that fateful rental car ride to the infamous Centrailia compound--and hands it to her along with a Post-It Note containing instructions.
FIONA: Can you do me a huge favour? The doctor said there was a UPS Store down the road from here, but I will be leaving out early tomorrow morning and won't have time to have this sent. So if you could...could you take this package to a UPS Store and have it delivered to the following address...
Fiona took a deep breath, placing her plate on the desk.
FIONA: ...it's for me neighbour's daughter Sarah. Her father's a famous car dealer...the address is on the note. I appreciate everything you did...and here's some money to cover shipping.

"That sounds amazing. I've been on road food for the past couple of years so anything homecooked would spoil the heck out of me to be honest. You're lucky to have someone like him, if I can be bold like that, sorry. He seems nice."
Viv smiles, "Sorry, I babble sometimes. I'd be happy to send that for you. Don't worry about the money, I can handle it."
She takes the package and sets it in her coat pocket. She quickly checks the gps location and sends a text to Ciara about their next stop.
"How are you doing, Fi? The match looked...brutal from the feed."

Fiona laughed out loud as she continued nibbling on the donut.
FIONA MCFLY: Oh, I ramble on and on too...that's a trait I get from me Granpapa. But yes...I've known Jack almost 20 years, we met at the same secondary school, Arlington High. Truth be told...he's been feeling a little down since he was forced to retire, but golf and cooking keeps him active. He's trying though...what can I say?
SHe gazed up at Vivi before peering her eyes upon a small banner that had Psalm 23 inscribed on it.
FIONA: How do I feel Vivi? I don't know...I just don't know.
She closed her eyes, trying to recount the compound without losing her composure. In her mind, she could still hear the screams, the sounds of fencing sabres clashing together like a lightsaber duel in the Star Wars franchise...yet she kept her grin, never losing it for a moment.
FIONA: I've had me fair share of matches, but nothing like...that barbaric place. Yet I did what I had to do, what I wanted to do, even if it meant knowing what me mum was doing or that Rowan had no plans on letting Lindsey and I out intact. It was the most uncivilised thing I had ever participated in. Yet if I have to do it again...I will. I'm not afraid, I fear no evil...for me faith in God is strong.
With a warm smile, Fiona reached over to her iPhone just as it buzzed. She looked down at the small screen and read a message from James Gilmore.
FIONA: And James just sent me a text...he's really tempted to cut Lindsey loose and feed her to Mr. Nash and IWF Legal after this, and honestly I won't blame him for doing so. She's...she's helped reenergise him yet we didn't think she'd turn out to be a psychopath like Rowan. Right now, Lindsey's in worse shape than me...and I'm responsible for that. That's why I saved her...
Fiona took a deep breath, fully understanding the gravity of what she had just gone through and its subsequent ramifications.
FIONA: ...but yes Vivi, I appreciate you doing me that favour. Generallly I use the two-day shipping when I deal with UPS, so I'll send something your way as a payment.
Fiona chuckled slightly, reaching out to give Vivi a hug.

"It was competent, I give it a good 6 out of 10, would commentate again."
In steps Maxine, holding a get well soon card in one hand and a bunch of white chrysanthemums in the other, resplendent in black and giving a small grin.
"And how are my dear Work friends?"
Max chuckles a bit and wanders in to find the free seat.
"Do you mind? Of course you don't."

Viv will hug Fiona before Max enters the room. As soon as Max enters she stiffens slightly, she keeps her focus on Fiona entirely.
"I understand you feel responsible. I do too. I encouraged it too. I'm sorry you were hurt. I'm sorry you had to see that. I shouldn't have... I'm sorry. You made the right call though. Even if she is a distasteful human being. I'm proud of you for doing that. That had to be hard."
She finally looks to Max.
"She's already in the hospital. Why are you here?"

Max busies herself with putting the Flowrs on the Bedside table and the like even as Max was explaining.
"I'm not allowed to visit Cuddle Buns here? and Yes she is in the hospital, how nice to observe."
Max shook her head and re took her Seat to look at Vivienne and Fiona and wave the card.
"I had a hell of time getting folk to sign this."
Max nodded.
"But don't worry I'm persuasive."
MAx shook her head.
"And I wanted to give my contgratulations to the winner, give her a prize.."
Max gestures to the flowers.

Fiona blushed, wiping away the tears of joy at seeing some of her working colleagues and their gifts. On-screen, she had her fair share of enemies and allies alike, but when the cameras are switched off, McFly realised that, indeed, she was a part of a larger family than she ever imagined. She loved every moment of the company, no matter who showed up.
The party was interrupted, however, when a young nurse from the Ryuku Islands of Japan stepped into the room with Fiona's X-ray findings. The nurse was young, in her mid-20s with a very distinctive Japanese accent; she set the photos down on Fiona's desk and gazed at the assembled bunch.
NURSE MIYAGI: Good evening everyone, I am Nurse Miyagi. I must remind all visitors in the room that visitation hours end at midnight sharp, which is a little over an hour from now.
Fiona nodded her head, understanding the hospital rules and regulations.
NURSE MIYAGI: And how are you doing, Ms. McFly?
FIONA MCFLY: I feel much better--looking forward to getting out tomorrow morning.
The nurse smiled, plucking away at her left brow. In spite of her thick Japanese inflection, her English was very good.
NURSE MIYAGI: Now I have some news for you...your X-rays are showing progress. The break in your left hand was not a compound one, but a simple fracture that will take, I am thinking, two to three weeks at most to fully heal. However...I would caution you against doing anything pertaining to your martial arts-wrestling regimen. I cannot "order" you to take time off, that is up to your doctor, but this is just my recommendation.
Fiona nodded once more as the 11:00 Philly nightly newscast was about to begin.
FIONA: Aye...I understand and appreciate everything.
NURSE MIYAGI: You are most kind. Please have a good night.
The nurse took a slight yet respectful bow before leaving the room. Deep in her heart, Fiona felt warm and loved...and perhaps that was what she always wanted from the job of wrestling itself.

Max hsaking herheadoput the still enveloped card on the bedside cabinet, nodding as he chuckled, she'd wanted to see Fiona's face when sheopend it, gore spattered and hers and Denas name the only ones in Ink, yes Fiona had been welcomed and loved.
But blood was the only pen that mattered. As the Nurse started to get up Max grinned.
"Good night Cuddle - buns, good work, sleep well Perhaps I'll kill you in the morning."
She bows her head to the ladies and starts to wander on out.
"I'll see you later Ladies!"
And with that The black clad woman is gone.

Viv watches Max leave before turning to Fiona.
"I'm not sure how far the freaky pain cult believes but I have. Feeling you don't want that card."
She smiles, "Do you need anything else? Coffee?"

Checking her phone to peer at the overwhelming amount of message, Fiona chuckled as she took the unopened card and gingerly tossed it in the large trash can.
FIONA MCFLY: (in John Wayne accent) Creepy sheep-dip, ain't it? Im'ma gonna check them messages when I get back to the holler.
She laughed heartily, turning her attention towards Vivi.
FIONA: (in normal voice) Jack taught me that impression...he was named after John Wayne, true story.
She continued to giggle.
FIONA:
I'm a'right, thank you. I'm just...I think it's almost me writing time, then sleep. I've a seven-thirty morning flight to catch tomorrow...but I appreciate the love, no matter how much I feel creeped out by it.
Fiona smiled, pointing to her red-covered personal diary on her desk.

Viv smiles, "That wasn't a bad impression. I'm terrible at impressions myself."
Viv glances at the clock. "I can get out of your hair. Just wanted to make sure you were okay. Have a good night, Fiona."
She waves at Fiona, "have a good night."
