---------------------------------------------------------- SEGMENT āWhoās Deserving?ā ---------------------------------------------------------- {Sacrifice goes live from the River Center Arena in Baton Rouge, Louisiana but before we even pan the lights in the arena go dark as "Sail" by Devildriver hits the PA system.}Terri Morasco: We haven't even gotten started yet and Angel Blake is already making is presence known! Vasco Dias: God overcame Mason St. Croix, buried him alive, the fact he's here tonight is a miracle after the war he went through. Terri Morasco: I will say that match was a nightmare made real! {A lone spotlight shines down on the stage where Angel Blake stands with arms outstretched, a sleeveless black leather trench coat covered in spikes hangs off his body as his pale pained face smiles devilishly. He lowers his arms slowly and a dim hue returns to the arena as his boots come down with loud thuds, Blake makes his way to the ring. Slowly he marches up the steps and climbs in, taking a moment to look out at the masses.}Vasco Dias: I always get a chill when God comes out here. Terri Morasco: Angel Blake is among the most dangerous wrestlers we have ever seen. {Angel turns his attention to camera side wearing a terrible grin, he speaks without a microphone and his words boom through out the arena.}Angel Blake: Two weeks ago I buried my only son... {There's a mixed reaction, more boos than cheers.}Angel Blake: I did this thing because like all of you he did not deserve the life I had gifted him. He did not deserve to share MY AIR! Like all of you he earned his destruction... Terri Morasco: What does that mean? Vasco Dias: Nothing good. Angel Blake: At Metamorphosis I will continue what I started with Mason St. Croix by ripping your favorite hero APART! I will cripple, dominate and defeat the beloved Andrew Jacobsen and reclaim MY IMPERIAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!! Vasco Dias: God making his intentions known! Terri Morasco: I can't imagine that will sit well with the reigning champion, Andrew Jacobsen! {The crowd sits in stunned silence as āRed Factionā by Black Lagoon hits the PA and out from the back steps Bob Pooler.}Vasco Dias: What the hell is HE doing out here? Terri Morasco: Your guess is as good as mine! {Pooler walks casually to the edge of the stage, unzipping his grey hoodie to reveal a faded Shinigami t-shirt underneath. Ignoring the cameras, he looks instead at the crowd as he raises a hand to silence the music.}Bob Pooler: Somebody around here sounds like he needs a Snickers. {Pooler pauses as the crowd chuckles.}Bob Pooler: āCause I donāt know if you realize it, but you a little emo when youāre hungry. {Pooler drops the mic for a moment, smirking down to the ring.}Vasco Dias: SHOTS FIRED, SHOTS FIRED! Terri Morasco: What is he doing? Coming out here and intentionally picking a fight with Angel Blake is lunacy! Vasco Dias: Heās poking a bear with a Chinese finger trap! Bob Pooler: I donāt know about everyone else in the arena, but Iāve had just about enough of listening to you drone on about what YOU deserve, about whatās YOUāRE due. You, sir, are entitled to nothing around here. In fact ... {Pooler begins walking down the ramp towards the ring.}Bob Pooler: ...if you think that you can sit on your ass for most of the year and then just show up and announce that youāre going after Jacobsen, well then I guess I can do the same damn thing! {Pooler reaches the ring and begins walking up the steps.}Bob Pooler: Metamorphosis is going to be the start of something new in IWF, but not for you, because if anybody is taking that title away from AJ itās gonna be me! {Stepping through the ropes, Pooler walks straight towards the stoic Angel and stands face to face with the Hall of Famer.}Bob Pooler: THAT, is what Iām gonna do next. Vasco Dias: Is...is he serious? Terri Morasco: I mean, I looks as though Bob has thrown his hat into the ring for Imperial title contention as well, Vas. Vasco Dias: If you thought Blakeās challenge wasnāt going to sit well with Jacobsen, I donās suppose heāll be any happier with someone else getting involved either. {Blake simply laughs at Pooler.}Angel Blake: Petulant child. There is no one before God! But if you wish to stand in my way than I shall bury you next to your fallen brother. Vasco Dias: God isn't amused! {The sounds of tapping on a microphone can be heard.}Terri Morasco: What is that? Vasco Dias: Technical malfunction? {Bob looks at his microphone and shrugs his shoulders. The crowd cheers as from the back steps Mike Laszlo. Bob doesn't look too amused, nor does Angel. Mike looks around and smiles before raising the microphone toward his mouth.}Mike Laszlo: That sound...there's just something so familiar about it... {He turns to the ring sarcastically...}Mike Laszlo: Isn't there Angel? {"God" doesn't look too pleased as Mike starts walking down the ramp.}Mike Laszlo: You call yourself a God. You hide in the shadows and when it comes time to put up or shut up...when I'm involved...you just don't measure up. A God? More like a magician with cheap parlor tricks! {The crowd reacts with an "OOOOOOOH!" as Mike gets to the steps.}Mike Laszlo: And then there's you... {He points to Bob with his hand outstretched.}Mike Laszlo: Mr. What Will He Do Next. Shouldn't the question be "What have you done lately?". Last I saw, you were being "Made to Suffer" by Cable Arcane. Other than that? How about losing? Hell, it was you tapping out that cost me and Cable a chance to be in the Extinction Event in the first place! What the hell makes you think you deserve a shot at the Imperial Championship!? {Mike enters the ring and a stare down ensues causing the crowd to thirst for a fight.}Mike Laszlo: The way I see it...you don't deserve shit. {He turns to Angel.}Mike Laszlo: And you're around the least of anyone on the active roster, Bob and I included...how bout you earn your shot? {"God's" eyes don't leave Laszlo, a stoic gaze upon them.}Mike Laszlo: The way I see it, I came back, and that loss, caused by you... {He points to Bob.}Mike Laszlo: ...is the only blemish on my record since. SO...I think it's ME who deserves a title shot of the three in this ring. Don't believe me...prove me wrong! {Mike drops the mic and the three stars stare one another down, the tension intensifying with every second that passes, when "Unbreakable" hits the PA and the Imperial Champion himself, Andrew Jacobsen, walks out from the back to a massive ovation from the IWF faithful. He has the Imperial Championship draped over his shoulder, and a microphone of his own in hand, which he raises with a quirked eyebrow.}Andrew Jacobsen: Wow. What a carousel of challengers! We've got Mike Laszlo, always ready to talk about how he's the best period. We've got Angel Blake, the original divine pretender. And then we've got Bob Pooler. No snarky comment there, it's just good to see you, Bob. {Andrew waves at Bob, who returns the gesture with a smirk. Laszlo glares a hole in Andrew, shouting at him to come to the ring, and Angel merely stares at the stage, gaze never leaving the Imperial Championship belt itself. Andrew begins to walk down to the ramp, cracking his neck as he walks.}Andrew Jacobsen: More frightened champions than me might point out that none of you have, strictly speaking, earned a title shot. But that's not my style. I've never been afraid of a challenge. Hell, I'm not afraid of three... {Andrew hops up onto the apron, stepping between the ropes, and turns to look over the three men in the ring with a hard stare.}Andrew Jacobsen: So boys, if you want your shot, you can come and take it. I'm not backing down, and I'm not going anywhere. {Andrew hands his microphone to a production assistant at ringside, beckoning the three other men to bring it on with a smirk on his face.}Terri Morasco: Come one, come all says the Imperial Champion! I have to say, though, I'm not a huge fan of his odds! Vasco Dias: Jacobsen is an idiot! Three opponents means three times as many chances to lose his title. He's just begging to be dethroned! {Before the four men can go at it, āCanāt Stopā by Sixx:AM hits the speakers of the arena, and out comes Laura Howlett to the stage.}Laura Howlett: Gentlemen, gentlemen, please. Do you really think weāre going to give this match away for free...here!? {The crowd boos the remarks made.}Laura Howlett: Not a chance in hell. The fact that you all think you can come out here and just make up the showās agendaā¦ AHEM!{The crowd erupts as Cable Arcane appears on the screen above Laura Howlett.}Cable Arcane: Though I normally donāt care for the words that come out of Lauraās mouth...in a way...sheās right. This is a championship match that would top any Pay Per View here in the IWF. So instead...weāre going to do this. You all think you deserve a shot at Andrew Jacobsen and the Imperial Championship? Youāll have a chance to earn it, because thatās what we do here in the IWF. NEXT WEEK...Angel, Bob Pooler, and Mike Laszlo in a TRIPLE THREAT MATCH to determine who will face Andrew Jacobsen for the Imperial Title at Metamorphosis! Terri Morasco: THATāS HUGE! Vasco Dias: A big time main event next week, and Andrew Jacobsen might be facing his biggest test to date! {The crowd goes crazy at the potential of the huge announcement as āLong Live the Chiefā begins to play, the four men in the ring staring one another down as we go to commercial.}---------------------------------------------------------- SINGLES MATCH Jenny Williams vs Vivienne Rodgers ---------------------------------------------------------- Terri Morasco: Tonightās sacrifice we open with a pretty standard match between a returning Diamond and Vivienne Rodgers. Vasco Dias: Jenny Williams is more than a returning diamond! She is the Jedi! Sheās Lady Dream! The career sheās had makes Vivienne look like nothing! Alison Valance: The following match is scheduled for ONE FALLā¦. {Childrenās Story by Slick Rick begins to blast across the speakers. The moment it does we are able to see Jennifer Williams emerging from the back curtain. Rachel follows behind her in a random cosplay attire.}Alison Valance: From The Bronx, New York weighing in at 127 poundsā¦ Lady Dream, JENNY WILLIAMS! {Jenny meditates as she slowly makes her way to the ring as Rachel seems attached by the hip walking right behind Jenny. Jenny stops as she laughs at the fans who actually want to shake her hand.. She quickly slides into the ring and blows the crowd off as she waits for the match to begin.}Terri Morasco: Itāll be interesting to see how this match plays out for the two women. Vasco Dias: Jenny Williams is going to be the women to show the whole IWF just how overrated Vivienne Rodgers is! {The opening trumpets to Confident by Demi Lovato begin to play as the lights in the ring drop, leaving gold and green spotlights on the stage and ramp. The lights in the arena pulse with similar colors as the bass kicks in. Vivienne herself does not appear until the lyrics begin in Earnest, walking on from backstage with Ciara alongside her.}Alison Valance: From Madison, Wisconsin weighing in on 140 poundsā¦. VIVIENNE RODGERS! {Vivienne grins confidently as she raises a fist into the air on stage, holding the pose for a few seconds before stepping toward the ring, throwing a few punches and a kick as she begins to walk. She jumps up onto the apron, walking alongside the outer part of the ring before going in over the top rope, interacting with the crowd as she circles the inside of the ring. Ciara follows her in, circling opposite her and working to get the crowd psyched up for the match. She takes to the center of the ring as the chorus plays, raising her fists into the air before she and her manager share a high five before Vivienne settles into her corner as Ciara slips out to ringside.}Terri Morasco: Both Ciara and Rachel are on the outside. Hopefully, this stays civil. Vasco Dias: You knowā¦These two women are the same height but one of them certainly weighs moreā¦ Terri Morasco: Please donāt say anything that gets us in trouble Vasco. Vasco Dias: What? Am I meant to not notice that? {Viv goes to offer her hand to Jenny before the bell rings. Jenny laughs in her face.}Vasco Dias: I am so over her goody Two Shoes act. Terri Morasco: Sheās just trying to be a good competitor. Vasco Dias: Itās boring. {The bell rings, Jenny kicks Viv in the ankle causing the younger to be off balance. Jenny tosses her into the ropes but Viv dodges the move Jenny was going for.}Terri Morasco: Thereās Viv showing her knowledge of Jennyās moves. Vasco Dias: Because sheās a fangirl. {Viv grabs Jenny and picks her up by the leg before switching positions and takes her into a Rainbow slamming her into the mat}Terri Morasco: Ouch. {Viv goes for the pin 1 Kick out}Vasco Dias: Youāll need to do more to knock Lady Dream out! {Viv grabs around Jenny and hits her with a Belly to back suplex. As Jenny struggles on the mat, Viv grabs her legs and goes for the Sharp Shooter.}Terri Morasco: Nice form from Rodgers. Vasco Dias: How come you can say that but if I say it I get yelled at? {Jenny struggles stretching and grabbing the bottom rope, Viv lets go immediately.}Vasco Dias: Oh come on you could have held on a little longerā¦. {Viv waits for Jenny to get up from the mat.}Terri Morasco: Itās good sportsmanship. Vasco Dias: Itās stupid. {Jenny pushes Viv towards the ropes, as Viv comes back she gets hit with a Hurricarana flipping the larger girl across the ring. Jenny laughs walking around to where Viv is on the mat clearly saying some trash.}Terri Morasco: The control of the match has shifted Vasco Dias: See? This is what happens when you try to be nice to people. {Viv gets up and goes after Jenny. They grapple but Jenny breaks it with a swift kick to Vivās ankle causing the younger girl to let go. Jenny waits for Viv to get close to the ropes with a smirk.}Terri Morasco: Jenny certainly is trying to make Vivienne humble here. {With a running start Jenny hits Viv with an Enziguri causing the younger girl to hit the mat again.}Vasco Dias: here we go! {Jenny climbs the turnbuckle Jenny Go Round hitting Viv into the mat. She goes for the pin. 1 2 KICK OUT!}Vasco Dias: Do it again! Do it again! {As Viv gets to her feet Jenny goes for her again but Viv grabs her by the throat, lifting her slightly and choke slamming her back down to the mat.}Terri Morasco: Viv is certainly trying to make a comeback. {Jenny jumps back up, glaring at Viv. Viv smiles with a shrug. Jenny goes for her again, Viv counters by grabbing her and putting her into a Firemanās carry before tossing her back on the mat}Vasco Dias: No! Jenny get back control! {The two grapple, clearly trying to get the upper hand and lifting the other}Terri Morasco: Another struggle for control. {Viv wins the grappled and gets her arms around Jennyās waist. She lifts the older women up and drops her into a powerbomb, then picks her up and hits her again making it a Sleep Over.}Terri Morasco: Vivienne has certainly picked up the momentum again. {Viv adjusts her hold and drops Jenny into a TIK TOK}Vasco Dias: NO! {Viv grabs Jennyās leg and goes for the pin. 1 2 3!}Alison Valance: Youāre winnerā¦.VIVIENNE RODGERS! Vasco Dias: Luck! This was nothing but luck! Terri Morasco: Seemed more like skill to meā¦ {Viv stands up as Ciara comes into the rings, they give each other a high five before Ciara raises Vivās arm in the air as Confident by Demi Lovato plays.}Terri Morasco: Looks like Vivienne has taken care of another critic. ---------------------------------------------------------- SEGMENT āJack Gaither Tributeā ---------------------------------------------------------- {We open the New Year's Day Sacrifice program to a sight rarely seen in the world of wrestling. A gathering of Imperial delegates has been assembled on the stage, along with a handful of special guests from other places--the most distingushing lot are seen in the front row, wearing green Arlington High School football "letterman" jackets and white Stetson hats. Standing front and center was Fiona McFly, who's wearing a ladies formal Western outfit complete with her own black Stetson hat.
There were tears to be shed and hugs all around from the guests in green, and the crowd cheered politely as a photograph appeared on the videboard with the following caption:}In Loving Memory JOHN WAYNE MATHIAS GAITHER ("Jack")
March 24, 1982 ~ December 27, 2017{The fans quiet to a hush as hear the voice of Alison Valance.}Alison Valance: Ladies and gentlemen...over the holiday period, the world of professional wrestling lost one of its brightest stars in Jack Gaither. Jack was a man with a Texas-sized heart, with a love and passion for this business like no other; he was a beloved teammate on the gridiron, a respected colleague in the wrestling world, but more importantly...a man who brought smiles and joy to people everywhere he went. At this time, we would like to ask you all to please stand for a moment of silent reflection as we toll the bell ten times; after which, there will be a special presentation as we honor the life of Jack Gaither. {The fans applaud as we see multiple camera close-ups of the on-stage gathering, with Fiona being held tightly by Terri Morasco...}DING! ... DING! ... DING! ... DING! ... DING! ... DING! ... DING! ... DING! ... DING! ... DING! {The crowd stands in silence as we fade to black for a brief moment, then we hear the voice of Jack Gaither as he gave what many consider to be his final address this past December.}The Voice of Jack Gaither:"Tonight and beyond...I consider myself the most blessed man on the face of this earth..." {As Garth Brooks country ballad "The Dance" beings to play, we first see montage of home movies and photographs featuring Jack Gaither as a child, then a teenager, appear on-screen. These clips feature Jack in some of his goofiest moments prior to wrestling, when he'd ham it up with classmates and teachers alike.}"Looking back on the memory of The dance we shared 'neath the stars above For a moment all the world was right How could I have known that you'd ever say goodbye And now I'm glad I didn't know The way it all would end the way it all would go Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain But I'd have had to miss the dance" {The last of the "early" photos show Jack standing arm-in-arm with the one who would eventually become his bride, a young, fresh-faced Fiona McFly. We then transition to some of Jack's finest moments throughout his wrestling career, watching as he somehow manages to flip the big man known as Va'aiga head over heels with an ultra-rana off the third buckle during an old Premiere Wrestling Alliance show. We then see his greatest achievements in the squared circle--from his Tiger suplex pin against Nighthawk to win the PWA World and Light Heavyweight Championships in 2011 to his lone singles title win in IWF, an Invictus Championship win over Alexander Atwater in 2015...}"Holding you I held everything For a moment wasn't I a king But if I'd only known how the king would fall Hey who's to say you know I might have changed it all And now I'm glad I didn't know The way it all would end the way it all would go Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain But I'd have had to miss the dance..." {...but the last image we see before fading back into the arena was one featuring Jack holding Fiona tightly--labeled December 25, 2017--as both still had their distinctive smiles and, in Jack's case, the twinkle in his left eye. The song fades away as the crowd cheers and applauds, starting a loud "Thank You, Jack!" chant as the gathering disperses.}---------------------------------------------------------- SINGLES MATCH Devlin Raine vs Pax Stormcrow ---------------------------------------------------------- {The lights in the arena dim, and there is the sound of a power up collected in an old video game system. A beat is laid out, filling the arena with the sounds of a Midi file. The lights pulse in time with the music. As they flash as the beat trembles, an explosion of sparks rocks the entrance stage. Pax runs out, shouting at the crowd to hype them up as the chanting on Suplex by A Tribe Called Red kicks in.
He jumps in place at the entrance ramp, before making his way down to the arena. He slaps hands with fans, especially taking the time to pay attention to a kid or two on the way down to the ring. He slides under the ropes and rolls to his feet, circling the ring as he shouts to the crowd with a giant smile on his face.}Terri Morasco: A guy who started to earn some praise toward the end of 2017...looks to make an impact in 2018! Vasco Dias: Yeah, but this is the IWF Terri, a lot of people are looking to make that impact with the new influx of talent weāve been gathering lately. Itās going to be a tough road for him. Alison Valance: Now entering the ring, Standing at 6ā2ā and weighing in at 240 pounds! Hailing from Aitkin,MN...Pax Stormcrow! {The Lights Darken as the Into of "OMEN" starts to play, whilst the beat picks up Devlin emerges from the crowd wearing his jacket and the Guy Fawkes mask , the Destiny Dealer steps up on the guard railing slowly as he slips off the mask and slides under the bottom rope to salute at the crowd waving his hands to the music as if conducting an orchestra and then turns to keep eyes about him.}Terri Morasco: The Destiny Dealer who burst onto the scene in the Cruiserweight Invitational, then last year at Night of the Immortals had perhaps the biggest moment of his career, beating Spike Kane for the Man of Steel title after cashing in the Joker in the Pack! Vasco Dias: Thereās potential no doubt...but it seemed to me like he pressed up against the glass ceiling in 2017 and couldnāt quite break it. Perhaps he can in 2018, but weāll just have to wait and see. Alison Valance: Now entering the ring, Standing at 6ā2ā and weighing in at 210 pounds! Hailing from Chicago, Illinois...THE DESTINY DEALER DEVLIN RAINE! {The two circle and Devlin offers a hand to Pax the two shake hands bad part before Devlin tries to scoot low and then high the two of them sizing each other out for an advantage before Pax tries for a takedown, which Devlin manages to Stuff with a well-timed Sprawl before working up to standing with a side headlock before Pax works him back towards the ropes whipping him off as Devlin rolls over the sleep attempt and ropes down next to Pax to smile only to hop up and extends both hands either side of himself as Pax stands up the same time as him Delvin clearly mouth ādonāt be madā with a shrug of his shoulders}Terri Morasco: Devlin showing up Stormcrow a bit? Vasco Dias: He needs to watch out...that bit of bravado has only taken him so far, and he might want to dial it back a bit. {Pax is quick to slide in under Devlinās open arms and lock in a Hammerlock, Devlin reverses as quick as a cat and then so does Pax moving around to lock Devlin in a headlock, floating over quickly into a headlock takeover. Devlin tries to headscissors Pax down once, twice and on the third attempt bridges his shoulders suddenly to push Pax off him as Pax is cognitive enough to let himself be pinned exploding forwards only to eat a Devlin Raine Hurricanrana!}Terri Morasco: Quick thinking by the former Man of Steel! Vasco Dias: Stormcrow just canāt seem to get out of the box. {Pax Is right back up to drop Devlin onto the mat and Devlin rolls out the way of the elbow and pops up as the Pace starts to pick up and the two start to exchange blows, Devlin staggering a Little more before he ducks a wild swing rolling himself around and through into a crazy Pin thereās barely a One count before Pax pins Devlin the two of them see sawing around the ring as the ref isnāt quite able to keep up before Pax ends up on top!}ONE
TWO
NO!{Devlin rolls to his feet and hangs on a rope before Pax takes a kick and a DEV-DT! Pax has the presence of mind to roll to the outside even as Devlin scrambles for the pin and then stands not taking pause as he watches Pax and runs to try connect with Pax and a Tope! Pax however rushes forwards and manages to catch Devlinās dive and land a HUGE Suplex!}Terri Morasco: WHAT A COUNTER! Vasco Dias: This guy is no slouch. {The two lie there the move having taking move out of Delvin than it did Pax, but PAx still feeling the effects of the DDT as the Ref counts, PAx is up first, breaking the count to pull Devlin up and hook him up for another suplex Devlin manages to float over and land on the apron as opposed to his feet jumping over an attempted foot sweep by PAx even as he rolls himself back in the ring and getting wiped out by a Pax storm crow clothesline another Cover!}ONE
TWO
NO!{Pax rises to his feet with no nonsense and pulls Devlin up with him hooking in the PEACE OUT he Lifts Devlin about half way before the Destiny Dealer brings knee in and forces his momentum back to his knees hitting Pax with an impromptu Face breaker on is knee, as Pax staggers back to release his hold Devlin charges forwards and tries to pull Pax into the SUBSPACE SLIDE! But Pax keeps his hold and swing Devlin back to his feet, Devlin barely stays still as he his the Spinning sle kick, kick and Step up Enziguri of the BRAIN DANCE managing to scramble up to rush for the Ropes! He Dives gets an arm up for the BURNING CHROME But Pax manages to shake himself awake enough to not only By pass the move but catch Devlin on the way back with a HUGE SNAP GERMAN SUPLEX which sends Devlin rolling up onto his feet for a moment but neither man can capitalize as they drop to the mat}Terri Morasco: These two are giving it all theyāve got! Vasco Dias: This is too much, too fast...like a jumbled mess...my head hurts. {The two men reach their feet by the count of eight Pax in pain tries to hook Devlin into a hold Devlin gets lifted halfway to a vertical suplex before dropping himself down and connecting with a Gannosuke clutch!}ONE
TWO
THREE!!{Pax Kicks out just after the three and Devlin staggers back with a great big smile on his face shaking his head a bit at the way his victory was attained, applauding Pax anyway with a nod}---------------------------------------------------------- SEGMENT āLetās Try This Againā¦ā ---------------------------------------------------------- Terri Morasco: Welcome back to the first Sacrifice of 2018! It's a new year Vasco. Vasco Dias: Indeed it isā¦ {Suddenly the slow melodic opening strains to āVeinsā by HUNTR begins to play and when the beat kicks in pyro explodes from the rampway as JC Keeton, clad in nice jeans and a dark blue button up shirt, steps through the curtain. He makes his way to the ring to a moderate pop from the crowd bouncing in rhythm to the music along the way. When he reaches the ring he leaps up onto the apron and steps through the ropes,}Vasco Dias: Oh jeez I was hoping we'd never see this guy again. Terri Morasco: JC Keeton is the son of a legend, I'm pleased to see him standing in an IWF ring again. Vasco Dias: Legend? Pleaseā¦ {Keeton asks for a microphone and retrieves one before moving back to the center of the ring.}JC Keeton: A year and a half ago I signed a contract with IWF and it was without a doubt one of the greatest moments of my life. I'd just turned 19 years old and I had been given an opportunity that hundreds of guys who've been in this business longer than I've been alive would kill to have. The only problem was that I was nowhere near ready for it. I took that opportunity for granted, my attitude sucked because as much as I denied it I felt like I should have been pushed right to the top just because I'm Jake Keetonās son. Management didn't agree and I ran my mouth to the wrong person and got handed my walking papers. {He pauses dropping his head in shame.}JC Keeton: I was crushed, and for a while I just wallowed in self pity but then calls started coming from independent promotions that wanted to book me. At first it was because of my last name alone but over the last year and a half I've worked my ass off and I've used the God given athleticism I was born with to get better in the ring, becoming a champion in some smaller places. I also learned how to handle myself in a more professional manner in hopes that the call I'd been waiting for would come. It came a few days before Christmas when James Michael Nash DMed me on Twitter and offered me a try out. That try out happened earlier today right here in this ring before all of you got here and I'm incredibly proud to say they resigned me on the spot. Not many people get a second chance after screwing up so bad the first time but I intend to prove to everyone that IWF was right in taking another chance on JC Keeton. {The crowd pops at JCās announcement.}Terri Morasco: This is great news! Vasco Dias: Great? I must be having a bad dream. I'm still asleep aren't I? Pinch me Terri. Terri Morasco: You know careers are being ruined because of men asking women to do things like that right? JC Keeton: Which brings me to the man I want to face in my first match back, a man that you'll see in the Triathlon tonight and someone who I defeated the last time I was here.. I want Nighthawk next week! It was an an absolute honor to face you the first time and I can't think of anything more respected to step in the ring with and show how much I've changed since I was here before. I hope you'll accept my challenge. Terri Morasco: Could we see Keeton vs Nighthawk next week? Vasco Dias: You say that like it's ten years ago. It's not, and this is not the same Keeton. {āVeinsā hits again and JC rolls out of the ring to cheers from the crowd.}---------------------------------------------------------- TRIATHLON MATCH Nighthawk, Andrew Jacobsen & Jayson Matthews vs Spike Kane, Rob Diamond & Bob Pooler ---------------------------------------------------------- Alison Valance: āThis next contest is scheduled for the best 2-out-of-3 falls with no time limit and is the 1st ever Triathlon match. The 1st fall of this match will be a singles match, the 2nd fall a tag team match, and the 3rd fall, if necessary, will be a 6-man tag. Here are your teams.ā {As the referee stands in the corner, the crowd grows silent as the lights go out, monks chanting can be heard, as the chanting gets louder the stage area starts to fill with smoke. Suddenly, and abruptly as the drums and guitars kick in a pyro explodes around the stage.}āBROTHERS! MY BROTHERS!
Is this all what we are?
SISTERS! MY SISTERS!
Weāve been crushed by the fists of GOD!!!ā{On the word God another pyro explodes either side of the rampway as Spike Kane appears through the smoke, to a growing roar from the crowd with Rob Diamond and Bob Pooler by his side. He stands with his arms outstretched, fists balled up soaking in the reaction from the crowd with a look of rage on his face. After a few seconds he simply heads right to the ring, rolling under the bottom rope and standing right in the center of the ring, extending his arms once more, before the lights fade to normal and the music fades.} Alison Valance: ā Alison Valance: āIntroducing first, at a total combined weight of 677 pounds, the team of Bob Pooler, Rob Diamond, and the IWF Invictus Championā¦. Spike Kane!ā Terri Morasco: āWith what happened at the IWF Christmas Special between Spike Kane and the Pack, you have to wonder if the Invictus Champion is in the right frame of mind to lead his teammates in a match that is as complicated as this. If I were Bob Pooler or Rob Diamond, Iād do just about everything I could do to make sure he doesnāt start this 1st fall.ā Vasco Dias: āTerri, we saw what happened to James Gilmore the last time Spike was coming into a match like this. I donāt look forward to seeing what happens to whoever it is the āDream Trioā made the decision to have start the 1st fall.ā {As his opponent waits in the ring the arena lights slowly fade to black as "Light of the Seven (You'll Never Leave Harlan Alive Intro)" by Srod Almenara ft. Alina Lesnik booms out over the sound system accompanied by royal-blue Roman columns of fireworks and slowly falling cherry blossom leaves. Finally standing at the top of the ring ramp Nighthawk gazes down at his opponents with Andrew Jacobsen and Jayson Matthews by his side and takes a long deep breath before slowly removing the top knot keeping his long hair free from flowing to the middle of his back while walking to the ring slowly, his eyes never leaving his opponents and a stony gaze of absolute concentration and focus as his partners join him in the same deliberate walk. Climbing in the ring Nighthawk slowly unzips his leather duster and hands it to a ringside attendant before going into a wrestler's crouch in the middle of the ring.} Alison Valance: āAnd their opponents, at a total combined weight of 621 pounds, the team of the IWF Imperial Champion āThe North Starā Andrew Jacobsen, Jayson Matthews, and āThe Wrestling Machineā Nighthawk!ā Terri Morasco: āAnd in the most interesting and exciting match of the new year, Nighthawk leads what some are calling IWFās āDream Trioā into the 1st-ever triathlon match. The question you have to ask is this: Do any of the 6 men wrestling in this match have any idea what theyāre in for?ā Vasco Dias: āIāll be honest with you, Terri. Iāve never seen a match like this, and I donāt know what strategy you have to have to be successful in it. But if anyone would know, Nighthawk would. Heās wrestled all over the world, and Iām sure heās been a part of more than one of these. Tonight, heās going to have to serve as the leader for this team and guide them through this.ā {As all 6 men stay in the ring Rob Diamond and Bob Pooler try desperately to convince Spike Kane to go to the floor and let them wrestle the 1st fall, only to be responded to with a thousand-yard stare as he quite clearly isnāt listening to anything anyone on his team is saying. Meanwhile Nighthawk, Andrew Jacobsen, and Jayson Matthews are going over their strategy for the 1st fall while also casting wary eyes towards Spike Kane as not one of them finds this situation even remotely ideal. Finally bowing out of the ring Nighthawk and Andrew Jacobsen leave Jayson Matthews in the ring per his request, as Bob Pooler and Rob Diamond glance at each other before rolling to the floor to officially allow the match to begin. Ringing the bell, the referee having already checked to see if Spike is in the right frame of mind to wrestle, Spike moves forward and immediately goes into a collar-and-elbow lockup as both men jockey for position until Spike is able to reverse into a hammerlock. But as Spike holds onto the hammerlock Jayson is able to hit a gorgeously timed drop toehold and slide through into a side headlock as Nighthawk and Andrew Jacobsen watch carefully at ringside, Rob Diamond busying himself by throwing insults in the general direction of the former Invictus champion. Continuing to keep the side headlock on Jayson is turned over into a pinning combination by Spike Kane who only gets a 1-count before Jayson turns the headlock back over and continues to grind on it. Pulling himself up to his feet Spike tries to use his power advantage and fire Jayson off into the ropes, only for Jayson to keep the side headlock tightly applied. Trying to get Jayson off of this hold Spike stands up to his feet and tries to slam him to the canvas, only for the Detroiter to roll through and hold on to the headlock as Nighthawk and Andrew Jacobsen bang on the mat in approval.} Terri Morasco: āJayson Matthews, showing tremendous bravery and confidence,, requested to start the 1st fall against an enraged Spike Kane. And in the early going, heās done a very good job at keeping this on the mat. I think he has to, with the mood Spike Kane is in.ā Vasco Dias: āLetās talk for a minute about the decision of the āDream Trioā to start with Jayson Matthews. The one advantage that they have in a match like this is that every member of this team has teamed with the other 2. Thatās only half-true for Spike Kaneās side. Spike has teamed with Rob Diamond as part of Infamous, and Bob Pooler as part of Shiningami, but Rob Diamond and Bob Pooler were never tag team partners on a regular basis. In fact, in my research, I couldnāt find a time where they have ever been tag team partners. If Spike Kane takes too much damage in this 1st fall, and canāt wrestle the 2nd, Rob Diamond and Bob Pooler are going to have to find chemistry, and fast.ā {Hooking in the headlock tightly Jayson continues to crank on the headlock until Spike stands up to his feet again and violently ejects the former Invictus champion to the ropes. Looking to run through his smaller opponent with a shoulderblock Jayson sees it coming and dips out of the way, grabbing a tight OāConnor roll that gets a 2-count before ducking under a wild lariat attempt and going for a cross-body that gets another 2-count. Popping up to his feet again Jayson ducks under another lariat only for Spike to have timed him and run through him with a massive shoulderblock. Screaming in incomprehensible rage Spike goes for a powerbomb only for Jayson to counter into a prawn hold that gets another 2-count. But as the Detroiter pops up to his feet quickly, looking for another cross-body, Spike alley-oops him into a hotshot before charging in wildly with an attempt at a lariat only for Jayson to duck out of the way sending him flying over the top rope. Taking a moment to catch his breath but not going out to meet his opponent at first Jayson Matthews consults with Nighthawk and Andrew Jacobsen, as Rob Diamond and Bob Pooler encourage Spike Kane on the floor.} Terri Morasco: āUsually, Vasco, in most matches Jayson Matthews would have pursued Spike Kane to the floor with a dive of some kind. But not tonight, Vasco. This is a different match than we would normally see from both men, and I think the tenuous emotional state of Spike Kane is the reason for that.ā Vasco Dias: āI think youāre right, Terri. When Nighthawk and Andrew Jacobsen let Jayson Matthews start this match, they did so with the idea that Jayson would not willingly provoke Spike Kane. Everyone here, even Spikeās own teammates, can see that heās holding onto sanity with his fingernails.ā {Pulling himself back in the ring via the middle rope Spike Kane takes one look at Jayson Matthews, as if seeing him for the first time, and charges at him blindly only to walk right into a drop toehold. Heading to the outside Jayson sets up for a springboard senton atomico only to accidentally plant Spike with an elbow to the jaw on the way by. Going for another cover Jayson gets a very long 2-count and takes a moment to argue with the referee about the speed of the count, before heading back to the ring apron going for a springboard frankensteiner. But as he does so Spike catches him in mid-air and hits a gorgeous and brutal bucklebomb before hitting another massive powerbomb. Snorting in rage Spike doesnāt go for the cover and lands a 3rd consecutive powerbomb as Rob Diamond cackles like a madman while Bob Pooler stares daggers through Rob Diamond and starts hollering up at Spike that enough is enough, and to just go for the pin already while the referee frantically tries to get Spike to stop and even begs him to go for the cover. Ignoring his former championship tag team partner, as well as the referee who he callously shoves to the mat, Spike picks up the limp and near-unconscious body of Jayson Matthews and lands a 4th consecutive powerbomb as the referee frantically waves for the bell from his knees.} Alison Valance: āLadies and gentlemen, your attention please. The referee has informed me that due to a disqualification, the winner of the 1st fall is Jayson Matthews!ā Terri Morasco: āThis was what we were worried about, Vasco. Jayson Matthews could elude Spike Kane to a point, but when he finally went for the kill, Spike caught him and tried to put every ounce of hatred he could muster into those 4 powerbombs.ā Vasco Dias: āAnd what a wrench this throws into the strategy of Nighthawk and Andrew Jacobsen. You have to assume they might have been wanting to hold Andrew for the 3rd fall, with the brutal title defenses heās been having recently. Nighthawk and Jayson Matthews are an experienced tag team unit, and would have more than likely been able to use their speed advantage over whichever team Spike put in the ring. Now, though, thatās gone.ā {As EMTās and medical professionals frantically rush out to the ring Spike picks Jayson Matthews up again as Nighthawk and Andrew Jacobsen rush into the ring to hold him off as Rob Diamond cackles maniacally at the scene in front of him , while Bob Pooler helps the EMTās drag Jayson Matthews out of the ring and put him on a stretcher to the back. As Spikeās vacant eyes watch the EMTās take Jayson Matthews to the back he suddenly clouds over with fury again and then lands a massive forearm shiver to the jaw of Nighthawk who glares a hole through Spike Kane before pasting him back with a barrage of knife-edge chops to the chest as Andrew Jacobsen hits a roaring elbow on Rob Diamond to send him to the floor while the referee frantically rings the bell to start the tag team match for the 2nd fall. Seeing Spike Kane still standing both Nighthawk and Andrew Jacobsen land a flurry of knife-edge chops and European uppercuts until Spike falls to the floor alongside Rob Diamond. Getting a running start the Chicagoan hits a Sasuke Special #2 on the Infamous team as he rallies the sold-out crowd to their feet, looking back behind him to see that the EMTās have taken Jayson all the way to the back. Rolling Rob Diamond into the ring the āWrestling Machineā quickly springboards in with a gorgeous twisting split-legged moonsault that gets a long 2-count. Heading up to the top turnbuckle, taking just a moment to shoot an absolute glare of hatred and disgust in the general direction of Spike Kane who is slowly rising to his feet and heading towards the Infamous corner, Nighthawk then lands a gorgeous frog-style high crossbody on Rob that gets another long 2-count. Quickly tagging in Andrew Jacobsen Nighthawk quickly whips Rob into the ropes where Andrew lands a European uppercut to the jaw that sends Rob Diamond to a knee, allowing Nighthawk to come by with a sliding basement dropkick to the jaw. Tagging Nighthawk back in the Imperial Champion picks a dizzy and dazed Rob Diamond up as the āMaster of 1000 Holdsā hits a gorgeous springboard missile dropkick that turns Rob inside out.} Terri Morasco: āIf youāre Nighthawk and Andrew Jacobsen, you have to work quickly here. This canāt be a time for long matches. Youāre already up a fall, but youāve lost a man. If they lose this 2nd fall, itās going to be 3-on-2. That is not a thing you want to have happen.ā Vasco Dias: āAnd Nighthawk, especially, is wrestling with a fire and an aggressiveness that belies that. He knows he has to help lead his team across the finish line here, and thatās why heās wrestling so aggressively in this 2nd fall.ā {Whipping Rob into the ropes Nighthawk follows him in with a leaping forearm to the face followed by a no-look enzuigiri to the back of the head that sends Rob staggering into the ropes where he somehow manages to receive a blind tag from Spike Kane before stumbling through the ropes and ending up on the ring apron. Having never seen the tag Nighthawk goes right back after Rob Diamond only to see Spike Kane out of the corner of his eye and hit him with a gorgeous inside-out triangle dropkick right on the point of the jaw. Turning around to go after Rob Diamond the Chicagoan has the ring ropes kicked right into his groin by Rob who quickly then drops Nighthawkās throat stunner-style across the top rope before dragging Nighthawk back into the corner and tagging in Spike Kane. Dropping an elbow to the lower back Spike then allows Nighthawk to stagger to his feet as Rob Diamond informs the crowd that their cheering is only going to make things worse. Trying to get through the mountain in front of him the āWrestling Machineā lands a knife-edge chop to the barrel chest of the Invictus champion only to be knocked into a neutral corner with a European uppercut. Stalking forward, ignoring Nighthawkās knife-edge chop again, Spike lands another European uppercut as Nighthawk continues to try and fight back even landing a stray forearm on Rob Diamond before being hit with a gorgeous flapjack. Covering quickly, getting a quick 2-count, Spike lands a hard stomp to the abdomen before tagging in Rob Diamond who quickly drags Nighthawk out of the corner and hits a hangmanās neckbreaker complete with hip swiveling in the general direction of Andrew Jacobsen. Unable to help himself Rob Diamond then flips the Imperial champion a middle finger which draws the āNorth Starā in at the exact same time Rob goes for a cover, which gets no count due to the referee being distracted by Andrew Jacobsen. Finally turning around the referee gets a quick 1-count as Nighthawk rolls his shoulder out, as Rob Diamond drags Nighthawk to the corner where Spike Kane tags in and immediately begins driving the flat of his boot into the carotid artery of Nighthawk until the officialās count hits 4. Pulling him up to his feet again, as though his very existence disgusts him, Spike lands a trio of hard forearm shivers before bieling Nighthawk halfway across the ring and then quickly stomping him across the forehead before again tagging in Rob Diamond who quickly hits a belly-to-back suplex before going for a quick cover that gets a long 2-count on the āMan of 1000 Holdsā.} Terri Morasco: āWith how easy Spike Kane and Rob Diamond are working as a tag team, Vasco, you have to wonder if they planned this. This Triathlon match requires a high degree of strategic thinking, Vasco, and I imagine there might have been some discussion about taking out wheoever started the 1st fall.ā Vasco Dias: āIf not for the state Spike Kane entered the building in, Terri, I might agree with you. I think that was a happy accident that Infamous was only all too happy to take advantage of.ā {grinding the bone of his forearm across the forehead of Nighthawk, screaming āBLEEDā at the top of his lungs like a madman, Rob then scrapes his boot across the forehead in a desperate attempt to cause the Chicagoan to bleed before pulling him up to his feet and hitting a short piledriver as he again goes for a cover which gets a 2-count. Pulling Nighthawk up to one knee, swiveling his hips again in the direction of Andrew Jacobsen, Rob takes a hard kick from the floor followed by a duo of desperate knife-edge chops before he desperately rakes the eyes to get the advantage back and then tags in Spike Kane, smirking as he does so. Burying a vicious and deep knee into the pit of the stomach Spike sets up for another powerbomb only for the āWrestling Machineā to counter out in a desperate spike frankensteiner and then landing a reverse frankensteiner before crawling on his forearms to tag in Andrew Jacobsen who immediately blitzes Rob Diamond with a running yakuza kick to send him to the floor before turning to pepper Spike Kane with European uppercuts followed by a vicious knife-edge chop that echoes throughout the sold-out arena. Waiting for his man to get to his feet Andrew runs through Spike with a STO before covering and again getting a two-count, glancing over at Nighthawk who is lying on the ring apron recovering. Going for a deadlift german suplex on Spike Kane Andrew gets hit with a counter back elbow which sends him into the ropes only to counter with a discus European uppercut followed by the Borealis for a close 2-count. Signaling for the deadlift german suplex again Andrew Jacobsen is turned around by Rob Diamond who slaps the āNorth Starā in the face only to get hit with the Gordie Howe Special which sends him rolling to the floor as Andrew turns his attention back to Spike Kane before hitting him with the bridging dragon suplex he was looking for to begin with that gets another long 2-count. Seeing Nighthawk coming to out of the corner of his eye Andrew goes for and gets the deadlift german suplex that he was going for originally which sends Spike into the corner, allowing Nighthawk to sneak in the back door and land a Concussion on Demand on Spike Kane which sends him to the arena floor as Rob Diamond blind tags himself in along with Nighthawk. Sneaking in the back door Rob gets drilled with a vicious European uppercut from Andrew Jacobsen who leaps onto the ring apron looking to drill Spike Kane with a penalty kick as Nighthawk heads up top for a shooting star press. But as the Imperial Champion goes for the running penalty kick on the apron Spike catches him and powerbombs him back-first on the apron as Nighthawk is forced to land on his feet after Rob moves out of the way of the shooting star press. Taking advantage of the confusion Spike slides back in the ring and turns Nighthawk inside-out with a Bloody Sunday, as Rob quickly covers for the pin to even the match up at a fall a piece.} Alison Valance: āThe winner of the 2nd fall, tying the match up at 1 fall a piece, Spike Kane and Rob Diamondā¦.. Infamous! This is now the 3rd and deciding fall.ā Terri Morasco: āIām noticing something about the way that 2nd fall went, Vasco, and tell me if you agree with this. Rob Diamond really needed Spikeās help in a lot of ways in that 2nd fall. He seems off his game tonight.ā Vasco Dias: āI mean, itās understandable Terri. Rob Diamond was retired, and heās wrestling against a dominant Imperial Champion and someone who is not only wrestling a full schedule, but also came up with this match concept. I donāt think it should be a surprise for anyone to realize heās going to be rusty and off of his game. The question is this: As we head into the 6-man tag, is Spike Kane capable of carrying him across the finish line? Because I donāt think Bob Pooler will want to.ā {But before the bell rings Rob Diamond takes advantage of the situation and grabs a chair from ringside before blasting Nighthawk in the stomach. Raising the chair up to deliver a killing blow Rob is pulled off by a returning Bob Pooler who grabs the chair and throws it away simply saying āNot Like Thatā before pointing to the ring area as the referee rings the bell to start the 6-man tag with Nighthawk in serious distress. Rolling Nighthawk in, Rob Diamond immediately covers and gets a long 2-count as Andrew Jacobsen writhes in pain on the floor. Yelling out āEasy Workā Rob delivers a trio of stomps to the stomach before reluctantly tagging in Bob Pooler who hooks in a tight bearhug as he tries to draw a submission in the 3rd fall as Andrew Jacobsen slowly pulls himself up onto the ring apron and holds the tag rope, wincing in pain as he does so. Squeezing tight on the bearhug Bob directs the referee over to see if the Chicagoan is willing to quit, not wanting to hurt him any more than is necessary. Fighting out of the bearhug, first trying to slip out of it but finding the mancunianās grip simply too tight, Nighthawk finally boxes the ears of Bob Pooler to escape the hold before landing a pair of forearm blows that unfortunately have just enough behind them to infuriate Bob who uses his size and strength advantage to bull Nighthawk back into the ropes and then bury a trio of short shoulderblocks into the stomach before tagging in Rob Diamond. Smirking, and almost strutting, Rob hooks in an abdominal stretch and flips Bob Pooler the bird before angling the hold towards Spike Kane who is only all too happy to provide some extra torque on the abdominal stretch. Cranking tightly on the Rob cocstretch, with aid from Spike Kane, Rob cockily begins to start singing āWe are the Championsā as the āWrestling Machineā screams out in pain while the rope-aided abdominal stretch does its work. Screaming out about the cheating to the referee, while still holding his lower back to the point where he can barely stand up, Andrew finally gets the referee to look over and see the cheating and force a break of the hold as Nighthawk slumps against the bottom rope only for Rob to reach up and tag in Spike who hits a hard kneelift to the abdomen which sends Nighthawk spilling to the floor. Quickly going out to get him Spike picks up the āMan of 1000 Holdsā and drops him stomach-first on the guardrails, rolling back in the ring as the referee begins the count.} Terri Morasco: This has been one hell of a match! Match of the year candidate, all ready! But I have to say, Team Nighthawk isnāt looking good. Vasco Dias: Thatās because they canāt withstand the wrath of Infamous and Bob Pooler. Especially with that idiot Matthews getting āGillmanizedāat the beginning of this match. Terri Morasco: Speaking of Matthews. Weāre getting an update from medical. Heās isnāt seriously injured. Thatās a relief. Oh and...what...heās what? {All of a sudden āPerfect Mistakeā by 311 starts blaring over the PA system as the crowd start cheering. A seething and angry Jayson Matthews stumbles from the back wearing a neck brace.}Vasco Dias: WHAT!? Jayson Matthews? I saw him literally get knocked unconscious! How is he even standing on the ramp? Let alone even coming back out here? Terri Morasco: The resiliency and heart of Jayson Matthews has been well documented but even I think maybe he should listen to the doctors on this one. {Jayson continues to glare lasers directly at Spike Kane. Jayson looks like heās at his breaking point. He points at Spike and shakes his head slowly. He has no microphone, but you can hear him clear as day.}Jayson Matthews: Iām not Johnny Fucking Gilman!! {The crowd pop at the angry Matthews. Jayson reaches up and rips the neck brace and tossed it to the side. He starts on wobbly legs but then breaks into a full run down to the ring.
Crawling back in the ring at the count of 9 Nighthawk lies against the ring ropes gasping for air and slowly pulls himself up to his feet, somehow managing to stand up straighter and taller upon seeing Jayson Matthews standing alongside Andrew Jacobsen in his corner. Turning around as if shocked Spike Kane immediately lands a teeth-rattling forearm that sends a wobbly Nighthawk into the ropes only for the Chicagoan to somehow return fire with an absolutely massive Dead on Time that echoes throughout the arena before both men crawl to their respective corners, Nighthawk tagging in Andrew Jacobsen as Spike tags in Rob Diamond before dropping to the floor himself. Rushing in at full speed Andrew ducks under a wild lariat swing and quickly lands a beautiful release tiger suplex, followed by a pumping bicycle kick to Bob Pooler on the apron. Letting out a war cry Andrew Jacobsen takes a moment to look over at Nighthawk slowly pulling himself up to his feet and Jayson Matthews in a full lather holding onto the tag rope and then notices Bob Pooler and Rob Diamond having each dropped down to the floor themselves and then all three men each hit flip dives, Nighthawk and Jayson Matthews hitting tope con hiloās on Rob Diamond and Spike Kane while Andrew Jacobsen hits a bullet tope on Bob Pooler. Rolling Rob Diamond back in the ring Andrew Jacobsen sets up for a superplex only for Spike Kane to sneak up from behind him and grab him in the electric chair position as Rob seems to be setting up for a Doomsday Device of some kind as Nighthawk desperately climbs back onto the ring apron to do what he can to stop this. Dropping down out of danger Andrew somehow manages to land a Gordie Howe Special on Spike Kane as Nighthawk vaults from the ring apron onto the top rope in one smooth motion before hitting a gorgeous top-rope frankensteiner on Rob Diamond right into the Jayson Matthews experience. Rolling to the ring apron Andrew takes out Bob Pooler with a gorgeous running penalty kick as Nighthawk waits for Spike Kane to get to his feet before drilling him with a picture-perfect Orange Crush Bomb for the 3-count.} Alison Valance: āThe winners of the third fall, and the winners of the first-ever IWF Triathlon Matchā¦ā¦ Andrew Jacobsen, Jayson Matthews, and āThe Wrestling Machineā Nighthawk!ā ---------------------------------------------------------- MAN OF STEEL CHAMPIONSHIP MAN OF STEEL MATCH Mason St. Croix vs Dean Harper (C) ---------------------------------------------------------- Alison Valance: The following contest is a Man of Steel match, and it is for the IWF Man of Steel Championship! Introducing first: The challenger, weighing in at 231 poundsā¦ from Savannah, Georgia he is The Perfect Weaponā¦ Mason St. Croix! {"The War Isn't Over Yet" by Eye Empire begins playing and blue and white pyro shoots out from the walkway as Mason St. Croix stares straight ahead with his eyes focus on his opponent and walks at a marching pace towards the ring . Once in the ring Mason climbs all four turnbuckles one at a time before hoping down and taking the center of the ring where he stands at attention.}Terri Morasco: Mason St. Croix still bearing injuries from his last match with God. That cut on his forehead still looks nasty. Vasco Dias: Itās never a good idea to walk into a Man of Steel Match already bearing an injury, but I suppose after taking the beatings he has from God he thinks he can handle whatever Harper can dish out. Alison Valance: And his opponent, weighing in at 200 pounds ā from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, representing The Pack, he is the IWF Man of Steel Champion: Most Loyal, DEAN HARPER!!! {The lights go out as the melodic opening of The Howling by Within Temptation begins to play. After a few moments a single white spotlight shines down on the stage, showing Dean crouched on the stage, looking down at the ground with his hood concealing his face. Smoke rises around him eerily as he slowly rolls his wrists. Suddenly, in time with the opening guitar riff, the lights snap blood red as Dean stands, walking through the now red-lit smoke towards the ring. He jumps up onto the apron before springing on the bottom rope into the ring. Once in the center of the ring, he spreads his arms wide as he soaks in the red flashing lights before lifting his head sharply, kicking back the hood to show his face, nodding in rhythm to the music as he slowly breaks into a wicked grin. After a few moments he turns and settles into his corner, tossing his hood and jacket to ringside... where it is caught by Rowan MacDonnough, who appears as if out of nowhere.}Vasco Dias: OH NO SHEāS DOING IT AGAIN. Terri Morasco: Harper certainly does seem galvanized by Rowanās return to the fold. Masonās no stranger to battling supernaturally dark forces, but this is the first time heās fought Dean Harper in the ring. Weāll see if heās ready for Deanās special blend of nightmares. {Security steps forward to lock the cage doors, making sure to keep a safe distance from the glaring MacDonnough. With a quick check they signal the referee who calls for the bell!}DING! {Mason plows right to work, using his superior muscle mass to his advantage against the slightly taller man. He lays into Dean hard with a series of brutal punches and kicks, keeping in with a close brawling style thatās served him well in the past. As Dean begins to make back his ground, Mason quickly shifts gears, rushing in close and driving Dean to the ground with a simple but effective suplex.}Terri Morasco: Mason definitely looking to get an early advantage here. Vasco Dias: Normally heās all for drawing his opponent into the long game, but heās still showing some battle damage from his match against God. Maybe heās trying to push it quick because his tank isnāt quite full? {Dean gets to his feet quickly before Mason can capitalize by trying to lock in an early submission, and moves to get some distance between himself and his bulkier opponent. However, even as he moves around, using his agility to buy him time, a cocky smirk starts to spread across his face. As Mason moves to approach, Dean snaps forward and takes him to the mat with a slingblade. Mason is quick to get back to his feet, but Dean has rebounded off the ropes and flies back into the soldier, taking him down again with a bicycle knee. Mason gets up again as Dean runs through, but isnāt quite quick enough to stop Harper from taking him to the mat again with a sitout facebuster!} Terri Morasco: Dean definitely targeting the head tonight, looking at that stitching. Vasco Dias: Deanās going to use everything he has to batter his opponentsā weak spots ā itās the only way he wins this match. Even though heās Man of Steel Champion Dean Harper doesnāt have a single submission move in his arsenal. He wins by bludgeoning his opponents until they canāt move, and heāll do anything he can to make that happen ā especially against the much more Technically skilled Mason St. Croix, who by fighting style alone should have the advantage here. {Indeed, even though it takes Mason a few seconds to recover from the assault, Dean doesnāt try going for a submission ā instead standing directly over Mason and loudly clapping right into his face. Mason growls angrily and pulls himself up, angrily knocking Dean away with a powerful backfist strike. Dean grins as he backs into the corner, but stops smiling as Mason plows into him with the WARPATH! Dean goes down hard, and Mason immediately goes to lock Dean in the Kimura! However, he can only keep the hold on for a few seconds before Dean gets a leg up on the rope!} Vasco Dias: The first of two rope breaks used by Dean Harper. Terri Morasco: Smart move by Mason. Batter Dean hard and then lock in one of his less impressive submission moves to force Dean to burn his rope breaks early. {Dean hauls himself up on the ropes before stabilizing himself, Mason gritting his teeth and continuing to meet Deanās increasingly sadistic grin with his own steely, focused gaze. He cracks his neck and moves forward again, looking to maybe drive Dean down with another heavy-hitting moveā¦ But Dean interrupts his advance with the DANCE THE SPIRAL, knocking Mason down in a heap on the groundā¦ accompanied by a spray of blood.}Vasco Dias: Woah! Terri Morasco: What just happened??! {Dean grins and circles St. Croix as the soldier pulls himself up, reaching to touch his forehead only to find it gushing blood from the now re-opened wound that Angel Blake left him the week before. He begins blinking rapidly as the blood trickles into his eyes, and Dean begins to chuckle. Mason slowly tries to haul himself back to his feet, still managing to track Deanās movements, but the blinking makes it clear that the trickling blood is making it increasingly difficult for Mason to see. However, before he can get up, Dean slams into him with the ABADDONāS KISS, driving him down hard and further exacerbating the cut.
The ref begins to count -
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!
FOUR
FIVE ā Mason gets a hand up on the ropes!}Vasco Dias: And thereās Masonās first rope break. Terri Morasco: Dean Harper just put a timer on this match. A head wound like that bleeds fast and hard, and itās going to get harder for Mason to keep it together if this fight goes on much longer. {Mason uses the ropes to haul himself to his feet, desperately wiping the blood from his eyes as he turns to where he thinks Dean is standing. Dean is no longer laughing, making an effort to stay silent to make it harder for Mason to track him. Masonās head is snapping around quickly, and it becomes apparent that he is starting to breathe faster and heavierā¦ the blood in his eyes bothering him in deeper ways than simply making it hard for him to see. Dean tilts his head to the side, eyes widening with bloodthirsty excitement. He moves forwardā¦ but Mason manages to catch him before he can strike and takes him to the mat with the ST. CROIX COMBO! Dean tries to roll away but Mason, almost as if on instinct, reaches out and locks in the RECKONING!!}Vasco Dias: This is it!! {Dean struggles against the hold, but finds Masonās grip absolutely implacableā¦ however, he finds that his hand can reach Masonās face. He reaches up and rubs his hand first on the blood, and then down to his own neck and chin. He repeats the process several times, using Masonās blood to grease his way into slipping ever so slightly out of the holdā¦ unfortunately for Mason, that little extra leeway is all the man needs to stretch his leg back and hook the rope! The ref calls off the hold as Dean pulls away from the astonished Mason, Dean looking like an unhinged maniac with the lower part of his face covered in Masonās blood!} Terri Morasco: That was one of the most demented ways to escape a submission Iāve ever seen! Vasco Dias: At least he didnāt dislocate his own shoulderā¦ {Dean steps back, roaring in fury as Mason becomes increasingly blinded and panicked. Dean rushes forward and drives Mason down hard with the SHOW OF DEVOTION! He flips Mason over, and for a moment looks like heās going for a pinā¦ but instead he reaches down with his back to the ref and bites hard into Masonās forehead, latching onto St. Croixās skin with his teeth and tearing the wound open even further. Mason screams in pain as Dean sharply tears up, Masonās blood pouring from his savagely grinning mouth.}Crowd: YOU SICK FUCK! YOU SICK FUCK! {Dean then leaves Mason on the ground clutching his face as he climbs up to the top ropeā¦ before coming back down hard with the SCREAMING FROM THE SKY! He stands and signals for the ref to start his count!

Mason is barely moving, the blood loss clearly taking its toll.
FIVE!!

He rolls to his belly and tries to get up, but collapses before he can even get to his knees, collapsing to the blood-soaked mat.
EIGHT!!
NINE!!!
Mason is motionless, clearly having passed out.
TEN!!!}Alison Valance: Here is your winner, AND STILL IWF MAN OF STEEL CHAMPIONā¦ DEAN HARPER!!! {āThe Howlingā by Within Temptation begins to play as Dean raises his hands in the air. Medical personnel quickly unlock the cage and rush to Masonās side, checking on the unconscious man and hauling him onto a stretcher. Dean laughs triumphantly as Rowan joins him in the ring, licking Masonās blood off of his hands before spreading his arms wide before she to whom his loyalty lies.}Terri Morasco: That was one of the bloodiest matches Iāve seen in a while. Vasco Dias: Dean Harper definitely making a statement tonight! {Dean turns to the hard camera, blood still pouring down his face and spreads his arms wide as he lets out an utterly demented laugh. He screams āWHERE IS YOUR BLOOD GOD NOW!?!ā as he soaks in the crowd's reaction before the lights die out. When they return, Dean and Rowan are gone, leaving only a wisp of red smoke.}---------------------------------------------------------- SHIELDMAIDEN CHAMPIONSHIP SINGLES MATCH Charity Helms vs Rayne (C) ---------------------------------------------------------- {Surprisingly, to some, Charity was able to hold her own for a bit against Rayne, but in the end, the experience factor was key and Rayne was able to put Charity down with a Bitch Breaker to get the pinfall and retain her Shieldmaiden Championship.}---------------------------------------------------------- SINGLES MATCH Steve Awesome vs El Grande Malo ----------------------------------------------------------
Terri Morasco: This next matchā¦I donāt know what to say about this match. Itās Steve Awesome vs El Grande Malo becauseā¦.Malo ruined Steveās honeymoon?
Vasco Dias: That idiot Malo is annoying and nobody likes him. Steve Awesome is gonna kick his butt for everyone.
{All the lights in the arena die out and the fans in attendance start chanting his name.}
"AWE-SOME! AWE-SOME! AWE-SOME!"
{Dramatic Pause.}
"REGRETS I'VE HAD MINE!"
{The lights in the arena explode to life as they flash green and black to the beat as Steve Awesome comes running out with intensity to the hyped up chorus of "Full of Regrets" by Danko Jones.}
Lonely nights/ and a whole lot of wasted time! If you see her wont you tell her for me/ It's better this way to avoid all the misery
{The chorus plays again as Steve walks down to the ring. The guitar starts soloing and Steve hops into the ring and he provocatively slips off his jacket and then spins and drops into a kneel and he flexes his arms. He gets a slow motion effect as pyro sprays behind him.}
Terri Morasco: So This is all because Malo wanted to be friends but Steve didnāt. Shame, I kind of liked Awesomely Bueno.
Vasco Dias: That is not a thing! Donāt you start. Steve Awesome is the Face of the Franchise. Heās a gold lion. Malo spits when he talks.
Terri Morasco: He Just gets excited!
{The house lights dim slightly as the words āOLĆā appear on the screen. The fans begin chanting along with the music as El GrandĆ© Malo bursts out from behind the curtain. He stomps his way out to the center of the stage, bouncing up and down in time with the music. He hops up and down pointing into the air and quickly begins jogging down toward the ring, slapping the outstretched hands along the way, before sliding into the ring and heading for the nearest corner. He scales the turnbuckles and continues to hype up the chanting crowd before dropping down and pulling on the nearby top rope, stretching while waiting for the match to begin.}
Terri Morasco: Malo looks angry here. I think Steve might have hurt his feelings.
Vasco Dias: Awh poor baby. Steve has the right to choose who is his friend and who isnāt!
Terri Morasco: But He could have been nicer about it.
{Steve and Malo stare each other down as the ref goes over the rules. Malo looks angry and ready to go, meanwhile Steve doesnāt seem very impressed at all and just laughs and chews on his bubblegum. The ref finally rings the bell and Malo comes swarming in with swipes but Steve dodges them with showy head tilts and then catches Malo with a drop toe hold. Maloās face snaps down to the mat and Steve rolls up to Maloās head into a position where heās laying on his elbow over the back of Maloās head and Steve kissy face poses for a few pictures.}
Vasco Dias: For those with the benefit of flash photography!!!
Terri Morasco: The Face of the Franchise taking a chance to show off here.
{Malo shoves off and Steve pops up to his feet, laughing to himself. Malo clenches his fists in anger and goes to run for the ropes but Steve manages to catch Malo before he can get some steam and Steve yells out ānot so fastā as he steps in with a deep abdominal stretch. Malo yells out in pain as Steve stretches it. He even adds a few elbows to the ribs for good measure. Malo is gritting his teeth in pain under the mask. With his free arm Steve flexes his bicep. āOh yeah bay bay!!ā Malo hears enough and uses some strength to hip toss Steve up and over. Malo holds his side in pain but pops Steve in the face with a front dropkick and Steve falls back down. He rolls to the apron and as Steve climbs to his feet Malo runs to the other ropes and comes back with a baseball slide that kicks Steveās legs out from under him and Steve gets hung up throat First on the top rope. Malo quickly shoves Steve back into the ring and goes for a tight pin. But Steve kicks out At two!}
Terri Morasco: Nice move from Malo! Doesnāt get the pin but Steve is having a hard time keeping up with Maloās speed.
Vasco Dias: Steve is just waiting for his opportunity. Picking his spot.
{Malo grabs Steve by the head as he climbs to his feet. Malo catches Steve with a few forearms and then goes for a suplex but Steve hits his feet on the other side. Steve goes to Irish whip Malo but he reversed it and Steve goes running toward the corner. Malo comes in to do some damage but Steve pops up to the turnbuckle and comes back with a diving moonsault. He hooks the leg! Malo struggles for two long counts but pops out before three!}
Terri Morasco: Malo wasnāt expecting that one! Steve almost had him.
Vasco Dias: itās only a matter of time, Terri. steve owes him this beat down. For all the stuff he went through on his honeymoon. Wich you can watch on the IWF Network!
{Steve stomps in to attack Malo but he gets caught with a raising uppercut. Steve takes it with surprise! He stumbles back against the ropes and Malo runs perpendicular and cracks Steve in the side of the face that spins the Face of the Franchise around. Malo keeps running and comes from the other ropes with a spinning headscissors! Steve gets launched into the ropes and he scrambles to his feet but Malo grabs the arm and twists and bounces up to the top rope and comes flipping down with an arm drag. Steve goes spiraling to the other corner and before he even knows what hit him, Malo comes crashing down with a flipping missile dropkick! Steve goes down like a ton of bricks and Malo screams to the sold out fans. Everyone is cheering but then to there surprise Steve pops back up to his feet. He looks a little dizzy and disoriented. He looks left, then right, then up toward the top rope trying to find Malo. He finally spins around to find Malo staring back at him. Steve puts his fists up and goes to take a step but completely flops back to the mat!}
Vasco Dias: oh no! Steve is dizzy!!!
Terri Morasco: Malo is taking it to the face of the Franchise!
{Malo starts to signal for his finisher El MĆ”ximo DaƱo as Steve starts pulling himself up to his feet. Malo goes for the STO but stops it with a knee and he hoists Malo up for the SteveKO But Malo elbows out! He drops down behind Steve, Malo spins Steve around and Steve pops off a desperation Jawbreaker super kick! Steve crawls over and makes a cover. 1ā¦..2ā¦.Malo gets his shoulder up. Steve sits there, thinking about his next move.}
Terri Morasco: Steve is wondering what he needs to do to beat Malo. Malo has reversed or kicked out of some of Steveās best moves.
Vasco Dias: Steve Awesome is a pro. One true SteveKO will put him out.
{Steve gets up and as Malo is getting to his feet Steve clubs Malo a few times. Steve goes to whip Malo but Malo hits the brakes and instead sends Steve running. As Steve is running back he rather abruptly starts limping and he cries out in pain as he holds onto his knee in pain. The ref steps in, but Steve shakes his head and shoves the ref away and tries to step forward but he buckles down to a kneeling position.}
Terri Morasco: Looks like Steve tweaked his knee coming off the ropes there.
Vasco Dias: Heās still good even on one leg!
Terri Morasco: I donāt know. The ref is trying to look at it.
{Malo comes in for a closer look as Steve argues with the ref. All of a sudden, Steve grabs Malo with a small package!! The ref is surprised but drops down to count! 1ā¦..2ā¦...3!!!! Steve still grips at his knee as the ref raises his hand.}
Terri Morasco: Wait, well that was surprising to say the least. I thought he hurt his knee!
Vasco Dias: I think he did! Look!
{Steve finally limps up the ramp, really favoring his knee. A few members of the medic team help support him as he walks. Malo argues with the ref who just shrugs and explains it was three.}
Terri Morasco: I think Steve took a stinger to that knee.
Vasco Dias: We will have to see what the medic says.
---------------------------------------------------------- SINGLES MATCH Kate Steele vs Charity Crowne ---------------------------------------------------------- {This was a back and forth battle between a veteran of the IWF Ring and the winner of the Diamond in the Rough. Kate looked to have the upper hand, but she went for her āSilence is Goldenā Blockbuster off the top rope, Charity ducked under it. Kate, using her agility is able to roll through, but as she turns around, DIAMOND CUTTER by the Crowne Jewel, and she hooks the leg and gets the one...two...THREE!}---------------------------------------------------------- DIAMONDS CHAMPIONSHIP ABYSS MATCH Rowan MacDonnough vs Shea OāHara (C) ---------------------------------------------------------- Terri Morasco: Ladies and gentlemenā¦.itās time for the Abyss Match! {The camera shows the steel cell being lowered, as ring technicians begin to prepare the ring.}Vasco Dias: This has to be one of the most barbaric matches weāve ever had in IWF, and now the Diamonds Championship is about to be decided within itās confines. {Lights go down, shifting until the entire arena is filled with naught but a dark red glow. The Shadow's Hymn plays softly, growing in volume as hooded figures in bloodstained, dark grey garb file slowly out, singing along with the hymn. They surround the ring as thick red smoke floods the outside, and as soon as they form a circle an illuminated pentagram appears in the ring, flickering red, yellow and orange as though it is burning within. The music fades and the lights in the arena die, leaving the only light coming from the burning sigil on the mat.
A long, dire howl of a wolf breaks the silence, matched with the sound of the menacing opening chords of Trip the Darkness by Lacuna Coil. As the opening riff of the guitar hits, the ringposts burst into pillars of fire as the lights snap back up, revealing Rowan standing in the center of the burning pentagram. She looking down at the ground with her arms held loosely to the sides, shoulders heaving with breath as she rolls her wrists unconsciously.}Alison Valance: Introducing first, the challenger! From Kilkenny, Ireland, weighing in at 145lbs, she is the former Diamond Champion, the Irish Nightmare, the Wolf of the Abyss! ā¦.ROOOWWAAAN MACDONNNNOUUUUUGHHH! {As Alison finishes speaking, Rowan sharply looks up into the hard camera, her golden eyes flashing with violent, cruel anticipation for what is about to happen. She lopes in circles around the the ring, stalking like a caged wolf as she glares into the crowd, head moving in a jerky, animalistic pattern. She slowly, reluctantly backs towards a corner, eyes constantly moving as she settles in to wait for the bell.}Terri Morasco: Rowan MacDonnough is back to full strength Vasco, and she absolutely terrifies me. Vasco Dias: She certainly had a turbulent end to her 2017, but Rowan looks to kick off 2018 by getting her Diamond Championship back! {The lights go out before the tron flickers to life with a flick of orange hair, before "In God We Trustā by Sweet Little Machine blasts out of the PA with orange and green lights flashing wildly, in time with the drums}"ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! NAH, NAH, NAH NAH! NAH NAH-NAH NAH NAH!" {The crowd chant along with the song, as Shea OāHara barges through the curtain before standing in the middle of the stage. She lowers herself, almost squatting, before thrusting her arms into the air with the ādevil hornsā as a small pyro goes off behind her. She then sprints to the ring, sliding under the ropes and runs to the camera side and leans through the ropes on the second rope throwing up her ādevil hornsā once again.}Alison Valance: and her opponent, she is the former Shield Maiden champion, and the reigning Diamond Champion! SHEEEAAAA OOOOOOOāHAAAAARRRRAAAA! Vasco Dias: Aaaand here is the woman who beat a confused 19 year old girl for that title she holds, I hope sheās proud! Terri Morasco: Wow, that is understating things, donāt you think? {As both women are now in the ring, the referee takes the championship from Shea and holds it into the air. Rowan doesn't move from her corner as Shea hops from foot to foot. The referee leaves the ring and hands the title through the cell door to the time keeper, before rolling back in. The two referees at ringside nod to each other, and set the apron on fire. The sudden rush of heat can be felt through the arena, causing the referees to react, and even Shea to move in a little away from the fire. Rowan, simply grins, before the referee calls for the bell.}Vasco Dias: Here! We! Go! {Shea hops from foot to foot, rolling her wrists in her hands, as Rowan rises to her feet. Her mouth is covered, but by the shape of her eyebrows and cheek muscles we can see sheās smiling. She points to Shea, and laughter can be heard, before Shea launches herself across the ring. She flies at Rowan with a diving forearm, but it just staggers Rowan backwards a little. Shea hits the ropes and comes back hitting another, it pushes Rowan into the ropes herself and the flames jump up almost catching the Wolf. Shea goes for one more but this time as she leaps Rowan steps forwards and catches Shea, and with incredible speed turns around and slams Shea down to the mat with a powerslam. The flames jump up once more with the impact.}Terri Morasco: Shea trying to bring the fury to Rowan right off the bat. Vasco Dias: But Rowan is so resilient, itās going to take a hell of a lot to put her away. {Almost immediately Rowan begins to drag Shea towards the fire, but Shea kicks and fights against it, eventually pulling Rowan down by her arm with a modified arm drag and locking in an armbar. Shea wrenches hard on the arm, as Rowan grunts in pain, after a few seconds Rowan seems to have had enough. She staggers to a knee, then one foot up and lifts Shea with her strength advantage and storms across the ring slamming Shea OāHara into the turnbuckle, causing her to let go of Rowan and collapse into the turnbuckle.}Vasco Dias: Iām so worried about this match Terri. I think one of these ladies might kill the other. Terri Morasco: Youāre not wrong to worry. This match could end a career, never mind shorten one. {Shea is in the corner, arms splayed out as Rowan stomps into the middle of the ring. She throws her arms out and charges to the corner splashing on Shea and clapping her hands together over her head. Shea drops down to a sitting position and Rowan walks back a few feet before stopping and turning her head. She cocks it slight before skipping forewards and slamming Shea with the BALORāS GAZE!!! Sheaās head snaps back off of the turnbuckle and she seems almost out of it. Rowan looks at the referee and points to Shea.}Vasco Dias: Oh my god, that was sick, did you see her head snap back!? Terri Morasco: Rowan is out to hurt Shea OāHara tonight. {The referee checks on Shea, and she squeezes his hand to show sheās still in the fight. Almost as if she was annoyed by this Rowan storms across the ring and grabs Shea by her hair, and begins to try and force her, face first towards the fire. The heat suddenly snaps Shea out of it, she kicks and scraps as hard as she can using her feet to press against the ropes, the fire licking up towards them. With a sudden burst of technique, she grabs Rowan by the head and pulls her down with a snapmare, causing Rowan to go through the middle rope and hit the apron, flames enveloping her as they do. Rowan rolls on the floor at ringside trying to put out the flames as she roars in pain and anger.} Vasco Dias: Shea reversed it! Wow, I thought Rowan was going to burn another face right there. Terri Morasco: I hate it whenever fire is involved in anything! {Shea is on her knees in the ring, her face full of shock as she watches Rowan roll around. Eventually Rowan puts the fire out, and is starting to get to her feet. Shea pops to her feet and hits the opposite ropes before coming back and diving through the ropes with a suicide dive, into Rowan and pushing her into the steel cell behind her! The impact and momentum takes both women into the steel cell, and they both slump to the ground, Shea holding her head, Rowan leaning against the cell, looking a little worse for wear.}Terri Morasco: Shea OāHara has no fear! Vasco Dias: Sheās insane! {Rowan seems to be recovering first, as she reaches up and uses the cell to pull herself to her feet. Shea is still holding her head, and as she pulls her hands away blood can be seen on her forehead. Clearly the momentum of going head first into the cell had busted her open. Rowan laughs out loud, before she begins to rifle under the ring, she reaches in and lunges out a table in one swift motion. Rowan takes the table and sets it up in the corner of the cell. As she comes back, Shea is starting to get to her feet, staggering and dazed. Rowan grabs her by the head and pulls down sending a stiff muay thai knee to the face, and then another, and then another! Rowan roars again as she sends one more, and Shea all but goes limp. Rowan drags Shea around and puts her head between her legs, she lifts Shea up and POWERBOMBS HER THROUGH THE TABLE!}Vasco Dias: JESUS CHRIST! Terri Morasco: HOLY MOTHER! {The crowd are on their feet as Shea crumples into a heap in the corner of the cell amidst broken pieces of table. Rowan extends her arms and laughs out loud, she can be heard shouting āThis is your hero!?ā before she goes back to the apron again, and reaches under, pulling out a steel chair.}Vasco Dias: Shea is barely conscious, and Rowan is looking to knock her out for good here. {Rowan throws the chair into the ring and goes to grab Shea. She lifts her up and heads to the ring, she throws the apron over the flames that over a few seconds of protection, throwing Shea in and following her. Shea is on her knees, head wobbling, Rowan picks up the chair, standing behind OāHara. As Shea staggers to her feet she turns to face Rowan who swings with all her might with the chair, but Shea drops to her knees from exhaustion! Rowan swings, and misses, the momentum of the swing makes her drop the chair. She turns to Shea with fury in her eyes. She storms to her and savagely hits her with the EATER OF SOULS! Rowan locks it in with such fury that the two women end up on the floor. Shea squirms wildly, trying to get out of the hold, and not give up.}Terri Morasco: Eater of Souls! This has to be it, Shea canāt take much more! Vasco Dias: This is becoming quite sick. {Inside the ring Shea is scrambling, reaching for the ropes, but her fingers find the steel chair that Rowan dropped! She lifts it up, turning it around, grabbing it with both hands and hits Rowan in the shoulder! Once! Twice! Three times! Rowan lets go of the claw, and rolls away holding her shoulder. Shea begins to climb to her feet, using the chair and soon is standing over a kneeling Rowan MacDonnough. Rowan looks up and screams at Shea āDO IT!ā Shea looks at Rowan with a deep regret, before CLOCKING HER IN THE FACE WITH THE STEEL CHAIR! Rowan wobbles, staggered but fury shines in her eyes and she points to her face as she slowly staggers to her feet. Shea raises the chair once more, but instead drops it behind her! She hooks Rowan and hits her with the SWEET LITTLE MACHINE ONTO THE CHAIR!}Terri Morasco: SWEET! LITTLE! MACHINE! Vasco Dias: What a turnaround here! {The two are staggered and barely breathing, barely conscious, the battle having taken itās toll on each of them. Shea explodes with an insane amount of energy, looking for a lariat on Rowan, but Rowan steps aside and slams Shea into the turnbuckle! Shea letās out a deep exasperated breath as she flops into the corner, but Rowan doesnāt give her time to recover. She lifts Shea up onto the turnbuckle and hooks her...looking for the STORM OF THE MORRIGAN!!! Butā¦.But as she brings Shea down she lets go, perhaps to put more impact into the move, and Shea lands on her feet, she turns quickly STRAIGHT EDGE SUPERKICK!!!! Rowanās eyes roll back into her head as she wobbles, before falling forward. Shea, almost collapses under sheer exhaustion, before stepping over and grabbing Rowanās arm, locking in the WRATH OF IRELAND!!!}Vasco Dias: This is outright madness! Rowanās arm must be hanging on by a thread! Terri Morasco: Rowan pulled out all the stops to try and end Shea OāHara, but it might have backfired here! {Shea rests on Rowanās back, blood trickling down her face as she screams for Rowan to tap or give in, but Rown just grimaces through the pain, roaring in agony, her eyes contorted in pain. She reaches for the ropes, but the two women are in the smack middle of the ring. Shea screams at Rowan again, but Rowan buries her head in the floor, trying to fight out of it. OāHaraās face is now a crimson mask as more blood pumps due to the pressure of applying the hold, she pulls hard one more time, and a distinct POP can be heard as MacDonnough cries out in agony, and then stops, before the referee eventually taps her on the shoulderā¦.Rowan MacDonnough has passed out. The referee calls for the bell and the ring side referees immediately set about putting out the fire.}Alison Valance: Here is your winner, due to referee stoppage, aaaaaaaaand STILL IWF Diamond Champion, SHEA! O! HARA! {Inside the ring Shea drops Rowanās arm and it goes limp. She staggers forward a step or two, before dropping to her knees, burying her face in her hands. The referee offers her the championship, and Shea reaches up taking it, before collapsing forwards onto it. EMTās flood the ring to check on both women.}Vasco Dias: Shea OāHara manages to hold onto the Diamonds Championship, but she doesnāt much look like a winner to me Terri. Terri Morasco: No Vasco, these two women went to absolute war with each other tonight and Iām certain both of their careers have been shortened because of it. Vasco Dias: What a match, what a night! We'll see you next week on Sacrifice folks!
