After protracted negotiations since the announcement of the closure of New Championship Wrestling, IWF is pleased to announce that the company has purchased all of NCW's remaining assets and will begin to operate as an active wrestling promotion immediately following NCW's final show, A Night to Remember 2013. Speaking at a recent ceremony honouring the memory of NCW, Simon de Montfort declared his delight at finalising the deal which will see IWF assume NCW's place in the pro wrestling community. "It is a very important deal" said de Montfort. "We've been working on this for a while since Kelly Fox announced her intention to close the company down as an active commodity and see it's share and assets so you can imagine how relieved we are that a deal has finally been done. It was a little touch and go at times, but we are pleased to move forward knowing we can continue the companies fine legacy immediately after it closes its doors." When asked about what enticed him into purchasing the pro wrestling outfit, de Montfort stated that he "had always admired the company from a far", although when quizzed about the ongoing ownership battle with the current NCW World Champion Roberto Verona the British billionaire simply replied "no comment". A Night to Remember signals the end of a tremendous legacy which will be forever preserved by the Imperial Wrestling Federation as a new era dawns.
