We've just gotten word hear at WrestleBlog.com that Jake Keeton has been suspended for the use of a loaded elbow pad in several of his matches, most notably just this past Sunday in the tag team title match. When we reached out to the head of the cruiser weight division, Angel had this to say.
"Look, I love Jake Keeton as much as the next man and I spoke with him several times about his use of the elbow pad and in the end he didn't listen. I hate doing this as he is one of the stars of the cruiser weight division and a legitimate contender to Bushido's title. Hopefully this time off with give him a chance for to calm down and get back to what this sport is supposed to be about, putting on a show for the fans."
Generally a first offense consists of a 30 day suspension but Jake Keeton isn't known for his love of authority and will probably seek to fight his suspension.
His partner at Legacy, Alex Jones was also asked what he thought about Angel's decision to suspend Jake Keeton.
"It's about time someone stepped up and put Keeton in his place. Hopefully he cuts the crap, otherwise the next time I see him, it's going to be Jake that gets knocked the **** out."
Jake Keeton was not able to be reached at this time for comment.
