The scene opens on Pax and Nate sitting on a couch. Nate is sitting back with a drink, while Pax has a Playstation controller and a confused expression on his face.
“So, what am I doing now?”
“Hooker, those human’s just told you. Gotta find the ruins and go check em out. I don’t know why you didn’t kill them.”
“Well they were just lost.”
“Shit. Columbus was lost. We woulda killed his ass think how much better off we would be.”
Pax shrugs his shoulders as he focuses on the tv, a small line on his forehead. Be blinks in surprise.
“Oh crap, these wolves are trying to kill me.”
“So kill them right back. Shit.”
Pax sticks his tongue out the corner of his mouth in concentration as he works the controller. It’s clear he isn’t sure what he is doing, complete with checking the buttons on the controller before pressing, and the occasional jerking.
“Man, I still can’t believe you never played video games.”
“Never really had the time. I had to train and stuff.”
“Ya? Now we both working for the same company. So where did that get you?”
“Title shots?”
“Bitch!”
Nate punches Pax in the arm while the other laughs. Pax suddenly frowns at the screen.
“Oh man. Those wolves messed up my buddy. Better give him one of these health potions."
“Man, don’t waste it though. He’s just gonna do dumb shit later and disappear anyways.”
“Ya but he’s like my best friend. It’d do it.”
“Shit are you one of those types.”
“You talked me into this, so let me do things my way.”
Nate shakes his head while Pax continues moving through the game.
“So like… when do the Dragons show up anyways?”
“Oh shit boo. Like not till the end.”
“Some age of Dragons this is.”
Pax is silent for a moment.
“I should really be training. My first match with Nighthawk is this week.”
“Man, fuck that wannabe Samurai. You got this.”
“OK, but he’s like the best technician in the company though. I need to be ready for him.”
“You are gonna tear him apart. Just throw some of them big muscles you got around and fling him around the ring.”
“This is serious Nate. It’s not just a belt. It’s my chance to shut up everyone who says I’m just a cheap Nighthawk rip off.”
Nate shakes his head and slugs his arm again.
“Boo don’t listen to them. You trained all that time before and look where it got ya? You got all the skill and the power and the youth bro. You just need to relax. Go with the flow a bit.”
“I don’t really go with the flow.”
“Shit, ain’t that the truth. But you hang out with me some more and we will get ya on board with it. Just gotta let situation move you or some shit.”
“I dunno Nate. There’s a lot going on. The Age of Gods and The Pack are ready to tear the place apart. The Best Friend’s Club is running around doing crazy stuff…”
“Man, let those edge lord fucks tear each other apart. Maybe we will get lucky and Awesomely Bueno’s racists ass will get smeared in the middle. We can’t touch those women that watched Heathers and got the wrong idea anyways."
“I mean, not that you would anyways.”
“Shit hooker. You get another title shot and you think you can talk shit.”
“I mean if you keep lobbin them like that…”

The camera opens up on Pax, who is standing against a black backdrop. He wears a simple IWF tank top and a pair of jeans. He gives a bright smile into the camera.
“Hey there IWF. This week we have Bloody Assizes. The Pay-per-view event that deals with the fallout from Night of the Immortals, and if it isn’t a big one. The Open Weight belt is being defended. The Pack, the Age of Gods, Awesomely Bueno, and the forces of Caberto are squaring off in the brand new Apocalypse match in a fight for supremacy in the company.”
He gives a small shake of his head.
“Then, the biggest event of all, The Women’s Division compete to crown the first Luchadora Champion in one of the most brutal matches I have ever seen. It’s gonna be one great night.”
He smiles at the camera and runs a hand over his head.
“Amongst all of those huge, groundbreaking opportunities, is where I come in. Nighthawk and I begin our Best of Five Series to compete for the Number one Contender for the Strong Style Belt. It’s a belt I have had a shot at before, and honestly, I came up short. Bob Pooler is an amazing competitor. But this isn’t about Bob. It’s about Nighthawk and I.”
He runs his hands over his face, looking more serious.
“Nighthawk, this monday marks the third time the two of us meet in a ring. The first time, I was new to the company. Fresher than I am now. I was still riding the high of making the olympic team and expecting that to lead me to great things. Ya beat me. You took me to my limit and you won. Honestly, looking back on that match, it meant so much to me as a competitor, and as a member of this roster. It showed me that I can’t get by on the talent I had. I needed to grow. That my past accomplishments, though great, could only provide the framework for what I needed to get by in this company.”
He beams at the camera.
“The next time we met was in the Tag Team Cup. I faced off against you, and this time I pushed your limits. I showed you what I had learned and then…”
He sighs and shakes his head.
“Then the Age of Gods stuck their nose into things. They ran in and ruined what was one of the most important matches of my life. They will get theirs. Trust. That’s not about that though. It’s not about them. They have a Main Event to shine in where everyone will be gunning for them. No, this is about us Nighthawk. This is a chance where I get to show you all that I have learned. This is where we prove to everyone who we are and why we are the best in this business.”
He grins and shrugs his shoulders.
“It’s gonna be a hell of a fight. Let’s go steal the show.”
He flashes two fingers to the camera.
“Peace out.”
The camera fades on his smiling face.
