Jay stepped into the house they shared with Vesna, a heavy sigh escaping them. They set down their briefcase on a table near the door and slipped their flats off. They had opted for skirt and blouse look for their suit today. It helped business dealings to knock the others off their expectations every once in a while. Besides, it was far too hot for pants.
Still, the gendered clothing made them uncomfortable. With a frustrated noise Jay stripped down until they were only wearing a pair of briefs and a white tank top. They lean against the wall, taking a few moments to gain some level of composure before picking up the discarded clothing and their briefcase and walking into the house.
As Jay leaves the entryway they are bombarded with a wall of pop noise coming from the kitchen. A radio was on, playing some current hits at a volume that could only be described as deafening. It was like a calamity of bubble gum and heart ache had occured in their kitchen as some young starlet crooned about lost love in the summer time. Jay skirted the edge of the house, like the sound was something that would cause physical pain if they got to close. Somehow they managed to make it to their room and close the door, providing only some refuge from the noise pollution that was occuring in the common areas. Their room was more of a standard bedroom then Vesna’s. A simple desk where a monitor set up is available for them to dock their laptop. Some posters on the wall to show some metal artists that they were fond of. A small picture showing Vesna celebrating a victory in the ring with Jay. Jay honestly would have decorated the whole house with similar images but Vesna grew uncomfortable with seeing photographs of herself in the house.
Jay hung up their clothes, shoving them into the back of the closet where they wouldn’t have to look at them, for a while at least. They let out a sigh, pulling on a pair of knee length shorts on. Thus fortified, they make their way back out into the noise. Jay covers their ears before making their horrified way down to the kitchen. What they see down there would probably be a shock to most of the outside world.
Vesna was bouncing around in the kitchen, wearing a pair of shorts and a tank top. Her hair was tied in a high pony tail, whipping back and forth as she danced around. She was in the process of making dinner and would occasionally lift up her wooden spoon to act as a microphone as she lip synced, badly.
Jay let out another sigh, moving over to the radio to turn it down to something resembling a reasonable level, which earned them a pout from Vesna. Once Vesna realized that music at a level below ear shattering could still be enjoyed she went back to happily cooking. Jay had spent a decent amount of time trying to hide Vesna’s music taste with concern for her image in the ring. But when another competitor decided to make fun of Vesna for it well… it went as well as anytime someone tried to mock the Oncoming Storm. But, they say a few more operations and the woman will have almost full range of motion again and it seems that a bundle of wrath and pain that likes singing along to Katy Perry is somehow more intimidating to the average wrestling fan. Go figure.
Jay took a seat near the kitchen island, pulling their laptop closer to check their Social Media for the day. Vesna handled the cooking, her interest in reading meant she had crammed several cookbooks worth of info into her head and she enjoyed doing so. Completely unrelated to the fact that Jay started a small fire trying to boil eggs once.
Jay clicked through the flood of private messages they had received, cleaning through the various garbage that accumulated for someone in the public’s eye. They also went through and flagged several of the messages to print off to show Vesna. Jay didn’t shelter Vesna too much from the outside world. She got to read both positive and negative comments. But Jay to parse through some that Vesna may not understand or would potentially embarrass her. After all, no one needed to see the numerous smut fiction written about them in Jay’s mind.
Jay came too at a soft grunt from Vesna, and they smiled at her as Vesna beckoned for help getting dinner ready for the table. Jay pushed the laptop aside and went to grab some plates as the Oncoming Storm and Her Acolyte set about to have a comforting dinner at home.

Jay: GOOD PEOPLE!
(Jay stands with their arms stretched out in front of the camera, dressed in their shining white cossak. A smile spreads over their face as they lift their arms up.)
Jay: Rejoice! For this Sunday at Lineage my Lady shall right a mistake that was made last month. A trick by the fickle whims of fate occurred and now the world is out of balance. But have no fear my children.
(Jay lowers their arms and points into the camera with both hands.)
Jay: The Oncoming Storm shall bring a great destruction that shall bring the world back into proper balance. The women’s division is full of powerful warriors, filled with conviction and will. Who will compete to their hardest to show that they are the best of the world. Any one of them could hold the Luchadora belt with pride and show that they deserved to hold that championship. Unfortunately, none of them did. Instead Alexis Caffrey managed to slip away with the belt.
(Jay lowers their head with a slow shake of his head.
Jay: It is a shame that such a noble alcolade is so tarnished by to have that name as the first person to hold it. We must have a moment in mourning that it’s future shall be tainted by such undeserving hands laying claim to it.
(They lift their head, piercing gaze staring into the camera.)
Jay: Because you are undeserving. At one point you earned a place on the Hall of Fame but unfortunately all such glory has departed you. You rear your head whenever there is a chance to try and make a name for yourself and then slink off again. But let us be honest. You are not to interested in making a name for yourself are you?
(Jay shakes their head, a look a true disgust on their face.)
Jay: No, you are the little wife. Set to toil in your Husband’s shadow. Everything done in an attempt to earn glory for him. From your entrance music to how you react to those around you, you are just a pale reflection of him. The most unfortunate part of this whole experience is that you are still better than he is, for all of your faults.
(Jay claps their hands together and a clap of thunder booms in the background.)
Jay: My Lady proved she deserves the Luchadora Championship when she eliminated 7 other women in the Last Rites match. She proved that she deserved the Championship when she beat the person who eliminated her from the Last Rites. You may call that belt your Baby and claim no one is going to take it from you. But Alexis, you can not have anything stolen that does not belong to you, and we are going to take your baby.
(Jay smiles and wiggles their fingers.)
Jay: There is no shelter from the Oncoming Storm.
