IWF can confirm that our long term employee and Hall of Famer, Spike Kane, has passed away. Spike became unconscious during the conclusion of our most recent pay-per-view, Lineage, and despite the best efforts of the medical personnel he was unable to be resuscitated. Our thoughts are with Spike's family, many of whom are also employees, as well as his colleagues past and present. IWF's owner, Roberto Verona, will make a statement on behalf of the company at the forthcoming episode of Monday Night Sacrifice, which will be held in honour of Spike Kane. Discussions with our roster following the tragedy resulted in them unanimously agreeing that the show ought to go ahead so they may pay their respects to the Hall of Famer by continuing his legacy. IWF has made it clear that any employee who feels unable to work this week will also have their decisions respected. No further comment will be made at this time and we respectfully implore all media outlets to respect our stance at this difficult time.
