Ladies and Gentleman, My name is Ashlee and I am the representative as well as the wife of one Trent Helms.
As many of you are aware, my cilent was originally scheduled to face Spike Kane in a homecoming match of sorts for my husband. As a treasured canadian national, Trent Helms was looking forward to wrestling his first match in his home country in nearly six years. However after the events that took place as Lineage, the once scheduled match between Spike Kane and Trent Helms will not come to pass. A replacement was named in Spike's offspring, Warren. However after careful consideration. Trent has decided to pull himself from Sacrifice.
He wants to allow IWF to honor Michael Kane, and feels that a apparance by himself would be a distraction due to the nature of Canadian fans. My husband refuses to comment on the situlation, as his views may be considered offensive and ill-timed. He wants the promotion to honor what he deems as a great warrior, perhaps troubled but a being despite there public history, He considers a friend.
My Husband wanted to celebrate his return to active competition in his home country, but didn't want it to take away from what is being held as a memorial show.
He always believes that even besides there troubled relationship. He didn't want to add any extra stress to one Warren Kane. I know Warren might need a distraction, but this is a period of mourning for the young superstar. Trent Helms does consider Warren to be a world class talent and under any other circumstance, would look forward to facing him.
Trent also wanted me to add, that while IWF is in the mourning period, He doesn't feel this is the end of Spike Kane legacy.
For fans who were looking forward to seeing to seeing Trent return to his home country, He did promise that he will return the following week. For those fans in the Vancouver Area who strictly bought tickets for this event, He did promised that he will make it up to fans with a public appearance and a one-off show at a later date.
