We open up on the home of The Pack once more, this time Warren Kane is pacing his room, his arms tensing and fists clenching, then unclenching. Slowly, the door opens and Dean Harper pokes his head in.
“Brooklyn said you wanted to see me?”
At the sound of Dean’s voice, Warren immediately stopped pacing and looked up.
“Well, I figured if I got someone else to tell you I wanted to talk, that you’d actually listen.”
Dean smirked and folded his arms, which just seemed to make Warren’s nostrils flare.
“Oh really?”
“Yes really! You don’t talk to me, you don’t spend time with me! The only time you even put your hands on me, was when I dressed like that cock rocket Rob Diamond!”
Warren is staring daggers at Dean, who raises an eyebrow.
“Did you want me to touch you? Because honestly? I can’t tell.”
The tone from Dean, caused Warren to almost shout in reply.
"What? How could you tell when you're never here"
Warrens arms were outstretched.
“I try to be but you just shut me out! I know I’m not him, okay? I don’t know what you want.”
Now Warren’s tone softened, his arms dropped to his side as he began to slowly walked towards Dean.
"I've never shut you out of anything. I opened up to you about every aspect of my life, even dealing with that pricks death! I'm not a mind reader Dean, I need you to talk to me.. And who the fuck is" him"? Olly? Rob?"
Dean looked at Warren for a moment, his eyes telling Warren the truth, how conflicted he was.
“Leviathan.”
"Dean.... I never, ever cared about him. I cared about you. You came and found me, you brought me here. You have me a home. You're the person I fell in love with. I'd raid hell itself for you.... The only reason I didn't kill them to get you back, was because she told me not to. She told me it had to be your decision. Not Leviathans, but yours. So when you came back, but you didn't... You know, come back to me while heartedly? It hurt. I see the way you flirt, and I know it's how you are, but it makes me feel so invalid. It makes me feel like I don't matter. Like all I am to you is a good fuck and a soldier. "
“...I love you. It’s like... I don’t know where I fit anymore. You didn’t say anything. Only Caleb did. I wasn’t sure you even cared anymore.”
"I... I didn't know what to say. I'm so fucked in the head right now, I'm grieving for someone I hated. Then while that's happening, you get taken away. I needed you, but how could I tell you that when you needed the strength of the pack... It's you Dean, its only ever been you. Your my first, and I don't ever want another. "
“You mean that?”
"Why would I say it if I didn't mean it?"
“Because I’m kind of a mess? Because I’ve been pressing the big red button hoping for a reaction?”
"So all of this.... Was to push me? To see how I really felt?"
“I didn’t know what else to do. If I asked you were just going to say what I wanted to hear... or you know I’d assume that’s why you said it.”
“Because leviathan is gone and now everything feels like I can’t trust anything anymore.”
“Do you trust me?"
Warren extends a hand to him, and looks right at him with those big puppy dog eyes.
“Yes.”
We cut to a church, we don’t know which one, what it’s called, or where it’s located. We just know from the decoration that it’s a Catholic church. Warren looks to Dean as he holds his head.
“In here, he can’t hear anything. He can’t influence me…..it’s you just and me.”
The two sit silently for a moment, just enjoying the quiet.
"You read the Bible, right? Lucifer killed what.... Two people? God though? He killed millions. He started a war because Lucifer wanted us to have free will. He didn't want us to be slaves. So God cast him out, and killed millions. Does that sound like a loving father? Do either of us really know a loving father? "
“...no. No we didn’t.”
“I want to be with you.”
"Then let's be together. No more games, no more pushing. Let's just enjoy each other while we have the time to."
“I like the sound of that. I want to do that. I’m sorry I...for everything.”
Warren hugs Dean.
"I love you Dean Harper"
“I love you Warren Kane.”
Head into shoulder.
“I honestly never expected for Uriel to respond the way he did. That was...a miscalculation.”
It's ok.... He'll get what's coming at Sacrifice."
“I look forward to seeing that.”
Fade.
