The IWF Heiress to the Throne is an annual tournament to determine the number one contender for the IWF Women’s World Championship. The Heiress to the Throne is a multi week tournament which starts in October and concludes in November at the IWF Survival of the Fittest pay-per-view. The winner will then receive an IWF Women’s World Championship opportunity at the female exclusive pay per view event, Diamonds Are Forever against the current reigning Champion.
The Heiress to the Throne is an eight woman tournament who compete every week to accumulate points which determine their place in a points table. This year, participants will earn points as follows:
10 points for Championship victories.
8 points for Open Fight Night challenge victories.
7 points for non title victories over reigning Champions.
6 points for Specialty Stipulation victories.
5 points for regular Pinfall or Submission victories.
3 points for Count Out or DQ victories.
1 point for Draws
Different rewards can be applied to matches at the discretion of tournament officials, but they must be applied across the board to all matches involving the participants. On the final Sacrifice before the Survival of the Fittest pay-per-view, the top four participants will enter an elimination phase where 1st place competes with 4th and 2nd with 3rd before the winners of those contests compete against each other to determine the Heiress To The Throne 2019 at Survival of the Fittest.
In the event that 4th place and below are tied on points the semi-final match will be a multiple-participant gauntlet with the 1st placed combatant entering last.
If a participant is forced to drop out of a tournament they will be replaced at the discretion of IWF management. In this event all of the points they have accumulated will be removed and their replacement will be given a number of points equivalent to 5 less than the bottom placed participants if they drop out before or during IWF October Revolution , any participant who is forced to drop out after this will not be replaced.
The two week Qualification Phase begins live this Monday, October 7th, and the tournament will begin officially on Monday, October 21st.
