Xavier Cross
The Senator
Dwayne
Doug
Dianna
Xavier Cross’s jaw drops, as the chair in front of him pulls out, and..
Senator Richard sits down across from him, adjusting himself comfortably in his seat, adjusting his tie.
“Good Evening Xavier, lovely night tonight..”
Instinctively, Xavier’s hand goes for something, he holds a butter knife menancingly in his hands, as the Senator looks up, lazily, a grim smirk across his face.
“Planning to butter my biscuits eh?”
Cross grits his teeth, obviously getting frustrated.
“What the hell do you want from me?”
“The same thing I always wanted, other than a lovely dinner. Are we going to go Dutch? Or are you going to be a gentleman?”
With as much force as he could muster in an instance, Xavier slams the knife into the table, it sticks into the wood. Cross meets the Senator’s gaze, eyes on fire.
“Now..now...Calm down, wouldn’t want you to get all worked up, I doubt your lady friend would like that very much…”
“Why involve her? Why? I get it, you’re a really shitty person, but she has nothing to do with it!”
“Ah! My boy, my boy...Many great civilizations fell due to the touch of a woman, your empire will be no different…”
“My empire! My charity is meant to help people, and I’ve done a good job at it so far. What exactly do you want from me, since day one, you’ve been at my throat. What the hell did I do to you…”
The Senator’s usually calm demeanor, changes in almost an instance. His right eye twitches slightly, his hands gripping the edge of the table.
“You don’t...you don’t know exactly who I am do you?”
The smile that creeps across the elder man’s face, sends chills down Xavier’s spine, it’s twisted, and full of hate.
“You Xavier Cross. Killed my daughter…You made a mockery of her memory. You exposed my grandchildren to various harlots. You Xavier Cross, are the scum stuck to the bottom of my shoe. You Xavier Cross, will lose everything tonight.”
“...You’re not Cari’s father….”
“No...by blood you moron. Her mother left me when we were younger, said I was too...too obsessive. I was a young lawyer at the time, rubbing my elbows with the right people. But my beautiful baby girl...she fell in love with a gang banger, who gets his rocks off running around with half naked men. You think I’m going to let you poison my blood line any further Xavier Cross? You think I’m going to let you walk away from this?”
The color in his face has drained, the man standing before him, was the biological father of his now deceased wife, Cari Cross.
“You know, at first, I wanted to ruin your public credibility. You’d lose the charity, and your career at the same time. I couldn’t think of a happier ending. But seeing you, seeing you move on to another woman. Another one? Really? After you loved my daughter so much, you just keep hopping from bed, to bed, with a different scarlet letter. It makes me sick. I refuse to let you piss on her grave any longer!”
The lights are back on, as Xavier slams his fist on the table. Garnering the attention of the room.
“Don’t you ever say that again. I loved Cari. I loved her with every fiber of my being. She’s dead, and I know that I’m not the person to cast any stones, because I never handle anything, ever, the correct way, what am I supposed to do? Do I die alone, stay miserable. Or do I try to live, for her memory?! What do I do, because I’ve been trying, for three years, to figure this crap out.”
The Senator smirks, as a waiter has made their way over to the table.
“I’m sorry Gentlemen, but we’ll have to ask you to leave…”
The Senator continues to smirk, placing his napkin down at the table.
“Let’s take a walk…Buy me some Ice Cream….Son…”
The Senator is leaning up against a well lit store, as Xavier stands there, in his best dressed date outfit. His hands shaking in fury, trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together. The man standing in front of him, was his biological father-in-law. The father-in-law, with the evil smile, sending chills through Xavier’s body. He was in a bad position, with everything to lose.
“What’s to say, if I give in, you’ll leave Dianna alone?”
“Nothing, you’ll have to trust my word…”
“I grew up in a political household Dick, I know how many holes a man’s word can contain.”
“Very true...though my goal is to only make your life miserable Xavier. My goal it make you lose...everything. First the charity….then, I’m going to make sure you lose custody of your children. I’m going to take everything from you. Every little ounce of happiness you have Xavier, will die, beginning tonight.”
Cross can almost feel his the lack of blood going to his hands, his fist clenched tighter than any fight he had ever been in. Knowing any kind of reaction could throw many lives into a downward spiral.
“So this was your master plan? You found my thought to be dead, childhood best friend hit me from the streets. You planted a seed in my office, to gain my trust, than ultimately betray me. And as a bonus, I started falling for a women, and you knew you had everything you needed in place to finally pull the rug out from under me.”
“Beautiful isn’t it? A master plan. I found Dwayne, who was looking for you. He had been for a long time. Never exactly told me why, but the fact is, he did everything I asked...for free. It was wonderful. A muscle for hire, and I didn’t even have to break the check book. And Doug, oh sweet Doug. My office received a phone call from him about a week ago, when you planned to release the tape. I got the edited copy, which blew everything you wanted out of the water. Xavier, I didn’t have to lift a finger, you pushed all these people in the direction…”
The Senator smiles, but it’s soon wiped off his face. As Xavier begins laughing. Shaking his head, the Senator steps forward, grabbing Xavier by the collar of his shirt, his shit eating smile, turned to a face of rage.
“What’s so funny you pathetic lump of shit?”
“The fact...that you think….this was all your plan…”
The Senator’s face, twists, a bit confused, before a voice rings out from the darkness.
“You gave me everything I needed, a place to find Xavier. To explain to him, that I was trying to change my ways. To explain what happened that night. And how much I appreciated him for taking care of my little brother.”
Xavier’s face turns into a smile.
“Dwayne…”
“He ran into me first, looking for Xavier, he then explained everything to me. I sat back, processing it, gave him Xavier’s cell phone number. They have been talking ever since. In fact, it was my plan to let you take control Senator…”
“Doug…”
Doug looks up, smiling at Xavier, before Cross turns his attention back to Senator Richard
“But the best part was, you know you’re little press secretary. She’s Doug’s girlfriend. So as far as I’m concerned. This is checkmate Senator. She has every little inch of dirt on you, right now I’m wearing a microphone. Right now, your bastard son, Detective Thompson is on his way with a squad of cops, to make the most public arrest in Atlanta History.”
“...No…”
Dwayne steps to Xavier’s left side, while Doug, steps to the right. Xavier slowly unbuttons his shirt, showing the taped wire to his chest. The Senator stumbles back, falling onto his knees.
“NO!”
His body twists, as his hand reaches into his pocket with deceptive speed. His hand is now wrapped tightly around a revolver, his normally calm, evil face, twisted into fear, colored with redness of rage. The barrel is pointed at Xavier directly, as Cross steps forward, pushing Doug and Dwayne out of the way.
“If you’re going to pull the trigger do it. You’re a coward, and this is your only option. Kill me, puts a nail in your coffin. You won’t see the outside world ever again, unless you take a long look from your jail cell…”
“Xavier...fucking...Cross...you outsmarted me….you bastard…”
“No, I just trusted my friends. What, did you think your biological daughter married me for my looks alone. The fact is, she never once mentioned you. You meant nothing to her. Though I’m sure wherever she is, she’s disgusted at you. This pathetic man you’ve become. So do it, pull the trigger, and let me spend eternity with your daughter…..”
The gun hand steadies, the barrel pointed directly as Xavier’s heart now. The finger is slowly pressed against the trigger.
“No!”
With a flash, two people have moved. Sparks. Blue and yellow. The buzzing sound. Dianna is standing over the Senator’s now shaking body. Holding a taser. Jaqwan is stepping his foot directly over the gun, having kicked it away.
“And the final two pieces. Dianna, the brilliant actress she is, isn’t as stereotypical damsel in distress. The entire time you were following her, Jaqwan was ready, in the back seat...You never had a chance Senator….”
The blue lights of squad cars fill the area, Dianna rushes to Xavier, smiling, as she buries herself in a hug. Looking over, Doug holds his hand out, Xavier quickly accepts it smiling. Dwayne and Jaqwan stare at each other.

So here I am, sitting on another chance to finally beat Xander, and put this baby to rest. It seems like each month, our worlds collide. Anyone else, I would have came to respect at this point. Anyone else. But not you, not you. Xander, at this point, we know each other’s tricks. We know each other’s moves, and I know damn well we know all we have to say.
You’ve tormented me, each time we’ve clashed, you come up with some nasty cat shit. You throw it in my face, about each time, how you manage to dominate me. How you’re far above me. How you’re the best freakin thing since sliced bread. So before you go and tell these people something about me, let me go ahead and do it for you.
Xavier Cross, a fairly decent guy. Plays things close to the chest, involves his heart in the business. Hasn’t always had the best head on his shoulders, but is finally coming around. Xavier Cross, a better father than mine, and that I could ever hope to be. When does this guy have time to sleep, between running his own charity, raising three young kids, training, and eventually kicking my ass. This dude is a robot!
Yes, Xavier Cross did bang my sister, Zelda Knite. It’s true that he brought her to multiple climaxes, and yes, it is true that he dumped her because she got way too clingy. He was trying to lay the groundwork to the CrossRoads Foundation, and she wanted all his attention. Yes, Xavier Cross did in fact, fall in love with her, but at the same time, he realized that she was too immature for him. Though, he still carries a piece of her in his heart, everywhere he goes.
And yes, Xavier Cross is a talented individual, though I’ll sit here and tell you he isn’t, you know why? Because I’m a juggarnaut. Which means, I’ll tell you every dirty little lie, straight through my teeth, so it festers underneath his skin. I play mind games, because I, the great Xander Famularo, am great, and far better than Xavier Cross.
Alas, I may be the physical specimen, people know as ‘The Gladiator’.
I am no close to being anything, but one-dimensional, trying to work in a third dimension space. So try to ignore the weird veins popping out of my neck, and pay attention to my very carefully chosen words. You know how long it took me to write this down, practice the speech in the mirror, and then go back, redo it after looking for bigger words in the thesaurus.
That reminds me of a funny story, about that time.
No.
You know what is funny. Other than my fairly on the mark impersonation of you Xander.
It’s funny, how you’ve faced me, multiple times, and talk about destroying me. How you send your little masked boyfriends out to assault me, and my buddies, week in and out.
and yet.
Here I am.
Here I am.
You haven’t been able to take me to ‘Rock Bottom’, you haven’t been able to destroy me.
You can’t kill me Xander.
The good guys don’t die.
This is the Immorality of the Phoenix.
This is the part where you’re left speechless, because when the dust settles, and I’m walking into that ring. There’s only one thing on my mind.
‘Mama said knock you out...I’m gonna knock you out…’
In the word’s of one of the wisest men I’ve had the pleasure of encountering in this business.
I’m gonna kick your fucking head off.
The first time we met in the ring, you made it personal. You talked about what I did to Zelda, and you know Xander. It wasn’t just a simple, get what I wanted, and leave her at the curb no. No. No….
It was more than that. So much more…
You attacked my character, not only in the ring, but out of the ring. So many things were said between us….and it just hurts.
Actually it doesn’t. My issues that pertain to your sister, that’s between her and me. Though it’s cute you’re finally taking an interest in her life Xander.
Hell, for all I know, your little masked minions are going to hop out the back, and I get jumped again, hell Cyrus may even be one of ‘em.
The fact remains Xander. I haven’t beaten you. Not yet….Which makes me think of something, the definition of insanity. Y’know, doing something over...and over...and over...while expecting a different result, though knowing it will always provide the same outcome. Some people think I’m losing my edge, but maybe the key to beating you, is losing a little more than my edge...maybe it’s losing my mind...

Cyrus Daniels, the breath of fresh air. The way this dude came out last week, facing Xander and Spike. I had to say, watching in the back, I was holding my breath. Yeah with the aid of Bernard, it helped in the end, plus the distraction of Spike Kane. But for the moments, where the three of those men were squaring off, Cyrus Daniels held his own.
He held his own, something I didn’t think he would ever be capable of. So congrats Cyrus, for making your way into this lion’s den of a match.
That’s where it ends.
I’m not much of a responder, though it seems ol Daniels over here stepped over the line. He wasn’t too aggressive, nor was he very insulting. It’s kind of weird watching a lonely grown ass man talk to children via promo. Though it’s also kind of weird. Not in a Davey Boone kind of way though.
But look, it’s one thing to run your mouth, say what you want about me. Talk your weak talk, and you’ll step into the ring and walk your weak walk. But the thing is Cyrus, that line you crossed. It’s something that just boils the anger inside of me, and that’s probably your ploy. To get into Xavier’s mind, to throw him off his game...what do you do…
You talking about his kids.
For that, it has given me a little perspective...Y’know what the definition of Insanity is? Doing something over and over again, knowing the outcome, but expecting a different result...that’s what it seems to be in my situation, having to face Xander again…
But you see, Cyrus you could have walked away from this all, you could have stepped to the side while Xander and I battled it out for a third time. But no, you had to drag my children into this, which just shows the kind of person you are Cyrus. You can’t look me in the eyes, and tell me my faults. But it’s easier to look down to a child, and tell them what they’re daddy does is wrong.
What do you know about life Cyrus? You’re just a ‘hitman for hire’, muscle to the highest bidder. Do you even have standards or morals? You claim to have ‘beaten’ Spike Kane, and Xander Famularo, but if we look at the tape….
They weren’t even in the ring.
You won on a technicality.
But enough of this, I wanted to walk into this ring, and have a match. But now I see, that once more, I have to put a title aside to teach someone a lesson. Now I see that becoming a two time Heavyweight Champion can only be something of a secondary goal for me.
Because you brought my children into this Cyrus, you’ve raddled me. Oh no...oh no…
No, I’m going to be taken out in handcuffs, because I’m going to break a chair leg off, and stab you in the throat. How dare you?!
You second rate, spot filling piece of garbage. That’s all you are. Something to add flair into this rivalry between Xander and myself. You’re there because you’re a cheap winner, a fraud to the business. You’re pathetic, and wiping that stupid grin off your face is going to be sweet justice alone.

There is the final factor in this match up.
I’ve went over Xander, as I have many times in the last few months.
I went over my disdain for Cyrus.
And now you may, or may not be wondering who is left? This is only a triple threat. I’ve already spoken of all my opponents….
But the greatest one of them all. Myself.
I’m sometimes a walking contradiction. I try to do the right thing, and then I say some terrible stuff about my opponents. I sometimes lose my cool, and say things I shouldn’t. Sometimes i lose track of what is important, and stray from the facts.
The fact is, I was the first World Heavyweight Champion of IWF.
The fact is, Xander has nearly killed me multiple times.
The fact is, I haven’t given up yet, and I won’t give up now.
Sometimes, things get a little rattled. Sometimes when I speak to my opponents, I get so wrapped up in the moment. That I’ll say one thing, and mean another, or contradict something I’ve previously said. You know what they say though, sometimes crazy is a good thing. In fact, y’now the definition of insanity right? Repeating an action over and over, expecting different results, knowing that the exact same answer will always come up.
Crazy right?
But the thing I want to address the most, out of everything, and everything I’ve told you tonight is that I’m a little sick of getting jumped by the two masked guys week in and out. So I’ve taken upon myself in our little group of good guys trying to change the regime. To reach out, to discover something that will give us the edge. Something to turn the tables.
I haven’t quite found a complete answer for that.
But you got your regrets, and I’ve got mine….
