We find our noble hero and eventual Roulette winner, Almir Sayed, gleefully unwrapping a human sized Amazon prime delivery. His face is burning bright with happiness as he tirelessly works to open the large package. In the foreground we see his faithful companion, Haseem returning from the market with every roll of toilet paper they had available.
”Good news, Almir!” Haseem proclaims before noticing the package. ”I was able to procure us every roll of toilet paper in the county-” He stops suddenly as he comes face to face with the package taller than he is. ”What is this?”
Almir juts his head around the side of the package and glares at Haseem. ”Did you wash your hands before coming in!?” Almir scolds.
”Of course I did!” Haseem replies.
”And your clothes!?” Almir gestures to Haseem’s attire.
”I wore a full hazmat suit while at the stores.” Haseem reassures his worried friend.
”Excellent.” Almir says with a sigh of relief. ”It is bad enough Roberto Verona is sending us into the heart of this coronavirus, I will not have it in my home!” Almir declares to his friend.
”I still can’t believe Roberto Verona refuses to hold the show at a confined venue.” Haseem says with a shrug.
”It’s as if the man makes every decision with dollar signs in his eyes!” Almir says angrily. ”Our health and welfare be damned!”
”He did let Spike Kane wrestle a death match with a well documented heart condition.” Haseem offers which does not settle Almir.
Almir’s eye twitches. ”Well-” He says, trying to regain his composure. ”I will not stand for his negligence!” Almir says as he pats his oversized package.
Haseem smiles slightly as he looks the large package up and down. ”So what is in the box?” He asks eagerly.
”This-” Almir presents the box to Haseem. ”Is my ultimate weapon against Roberto Verona’s death sentence to the roster.” Almir pops the forward facing panel off the package and reveals a sealed human sized plastic cube. ”I call it Almir Sayed’s Fortress of Health!”
Haseem begins to feverishly clap. ”Brilliant!” Haseem helps reveal the whole plastic cube complete with a rear facing sealed door. ”The virus nor your opponents will be able to touch you in here!”
Almir gives a knowing wink. ”I can’t be eliminated if they can’t get me in the ring.” Almir says with a smirk.
”Not only is the Roulette all but already yours-” Haseem says as he marvels at the cube. ”But there is no way the cold hands of death will even come near you!” Haseem says most gleefully.
”Sometimes, Haseem-” Almir says, extremely proud of himself. ”I even amaze myself.”
Haseem nods vigorously. ”Your victory is more assured than a president who pays his electorate to get re-elected!” Haseem says with a knowing jab at the reigning president’s promise to pay the average household during this trying time.
Almir spits in disgust. ”It is disgraceful he is allowed to so blatantly abuse his position in a bid to secure votes.” Almir spits again. ”At least my Fortress of Health is designed mostly to keep me safe from the unwashed masses!” He proclaims. ”Being unable to lose is mostly secondary!”
Haseem nods in total agreement. ”Your cause is noble and in the best interest of all! Not selfish and disgusting!” Haseem says to reassure his friend.
”Now-” Almir begins. ”Nothing and no one can stand in my way! I will ascend to an easy victory, assuring myself my rightful place in the main event of Night of the Immortals!” Almir says before looking at Haseem. ”And once we return from High Stakes I will sue Roberto Verona for all he is worth!” Almir proclaims. ”He will pay for putting all our lives at stake in the name of the almighty dollar!” Almir shakes his fist threateningly.
”Absolutely-” Haseem says before something comes to his mind. ”Will there be room enough in the Fortress for me?” Haseem asks in an endearing tone of voice.
Almir raises a single brow in Haseem’s direction. ”Haseem-” Almir begins. ”I cannot have you contaminating my Fortress of Health!” He says with a jovial laugh and a pat on the back. ”Besides-” Almir says to a dejected looking Haseem. ”Who will transport me once I lock myself in the Fortress? Or provide me with food and drink? Or attend to my other, less sanitary needs?” Almir asks.
”Ah…” Haseem responds, trying not to sound saddened. ”I suppose you are right.” Haseem tries to agree honestly. ”There is no way we could trust IWF personnel to transport you safely over seas once inside the Fortress…” Haseem says trying to convince himself.
”I am pleased you understand, my friend.” Almir says with a wide grin. ”Now, I trust you bought some Lysol? This package was shipped from China and I need it thoroughly cleaned immediately!” Almir says before heading off.
Haseem stands there for a moment and sighs before turning back toward the door and the large stockpile of supplies he’d procured earlier, including several cases of Lysol.
Fin.
