------------------------------------ SINGLES MATCH Heiress to the throne match Cals Jacobsen vs Nancy Paulson Carlson ------------------------------------
Allison Valance: â The following match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from Minneapolis, Minnesota! The Non-Binary Nightmare, CALS JACOBSEN!â
The echoing guitar intro of "Tears Don't Fall" sounds through the arena before a howl of "LET'S GOOOOOO!" brings Cals Jacobsen running out onto the stage, shoulder-rolling forward and coming up kneeling with their hands in horns and their tongue out, grinning ear to ear. They pop up to their feet, nodding and grinning wickedly as they walk down the ramp, fistbumping and high-fiving with fans. Climbing the ring steps, Cals hangs off the ringpost, nodding along to the music, and steps through the ropes, pacing in a circle before running to the ropes and leaping up onto the second rope, throwing her hood back and bellowing out to the fans. Cals detaches their hood, unfolding it and tossing it into the crowd before running the ropes, clearly psyched for their match.
Allison Valance: â And their opponent from Montgomery, Alabama! NANCY PAILSON-CAULSON!â
As soon as the music starts she marches down the ramp and gets into the ring, marching back and forth like a wild woman until the bell rings.
Blue Shoes starts the match.
Nancy tries to push the pace and goes for spear but Cals hurdles her. Cals hits her infamous Five for Fighting then lands a Hard Pass. Cals just stands over looking disinterested. And goes for a pin.
1!!!
2!!!
Nancy gets her shoulder up. Cals shakes their head and gets back up. Cals then climbs the closest corner as Nancy slowly gets up. Cals jumps off the corner and hits a Green Skies! Cals lifts Nancy back up and kicks her in the gut. Then hits Fall to Pieces and goes for the pin again.
1!!!
2!!!
3!!!
Allison Valance: â Your winner, The Non-Binary Nightmare, Cals Jacobsen!â
------------------------------------ SEGMENT Who came out as the female world champion? ------------------------------------
{Cut to Abigail sat in the middle of a two seater black leather couch in a private luxury locker room backstage at the Coliseum. Perfectly centred across both sides evenly, having more than enough empty space around her. She has smoky pink heavy eyeshadow on, pink lipstick, sparkly pink nail polish and a bright red spider lily planted in her almost jet black hair. She is also wearing a deep scarlet mini dress. The IWF Womenâs World Championship laid across her right shoulder.
A tall half-filled glass of pomegranate juice is paired with a small white round bowl of fruit in front of her.
She takes a segment of orange to her lips, softly. Taking a moment to savour the slightly sour, slightly sweet taste. She swallows gently before speaking, focused but with quiet reservation.}
Abigail: Despite what some of my bitter colleagues anâ harshest critics would have ya believe, Iâve never been a privileged starlet. Iâve lived most of my life as a humble God fearinâ Christian from the Deep South, for all the good it ended up doinâ me. Two years ago, I had the perfect excuse to flip the bird on everythinâ. I thought I could just pick up anâ resume the life I lost at eight years old anâ be good. But now, now I know better. For one thing, Iâm not that good an actress. I realise I canât be somethinâ Iâm not. I canât turn my back on everythinâ Ma anâ Pa taught me. When you divorce everythinâ from a religious context, turns out youâre still left with a solid moral basis ta live by, so thatâs all Iâve been doinâ. Recontextualisinâ the lessons of beinâ a Good Christian ta just beinâ a good person. A life without labels has been very liberatinâ. Iâd like ta believe the positive energy I try to put out inta the world is beinâ returned to me, âcause these last few months have been some of the best of my career. And though, itâs still not good enough for some of the people who mill around here, lookinâ at me sideways, just âcause Iâve finally managed ta turn my career around at last, I will not apologise from seizinâ the opportunity anâ reapinâ the rewards.
{Another orange segment popped into her mouth, swallowed quickly, completely relaxed and feeling most at ease.}
Abigail: Why should I? I shouldnât. The fact is this yearâs Heiress tournament contains some of the finest wrestlers in the world today, all of you will spend the next couple months fightinâ it out to do the very thing some of you criticise me for havinâ done a couple months ago at Lineage. Capture the brass ring, seize the golden opportunity. Take your shot at immortality under the greatest spotlight the Womenâs Division gets all year, Diamonds Are Forever. Without gettinâ too ahead of myself, I know youâre all lininâ up ta take your shot at me before the year is out, anâ as much as I get goosebumps thinkinâ about some of the women I could end up tusslinâ with when all is said anâ done, I will not sit here anâ presume anythinâ âcause there is only ever one inescapable guarantee in life, anâ it ainât success. Thatâs why I live one day at a time. Thatâs why I wrestle one day at a time. As long as Iâm the target, I will not overlook any of you. All Iâm askinâ for is a little of the same courtesy...
{Abigail takes a peach slice in one hand, whilst taking a quick sip of juice, with the other. Her face a picture of absolute utter contentment and secure satisfaction on which we hold for a moment before cutting back to ringside.}
------------------------------------ SINGLES MATCH Heiress to the throne match Fate vs Kai Sachiko ------------------------------------
{Fate wins}
------------------------------------ SINGLES MATCH Heiress to the throne match Fiona McFly vs Virginia ------------------------------------
{ The lights in the arena start to flicker as the intro to âBitch Better Have My Moneyâ hits the speakers. Smoke pours out onto the stage as Virginia Stepanov steps out. She walks to the head of the ramp, looking around for a moment before she shoots a high front kick into the air to show off and then makes a finger gun with three punctuated âshotsâ towards the crowd ad the appropriate time in the song. }
Terri Morasco: The 2020 Heiress to the Throne is in full swing!
{ She struts down the ramp, mouth moving to sing along to her entrance as her head bobs along with the song. When she gets to the ring she jumps onto the apron, hanging onto the rope and leaning out towards the crowd, throwing a finger gun with another three shots before she steps through the ropes. She slips her coat off and hangs it in the corner. }
Vasco Dias: Looks like Virginia's ready to go!
{ A video package begins playing to a rock-remix version of Rachel Platten's "Fight Song," showing a montage of Fiona McFly at various stages of her life including home movie footage of the famous 1994 go-kart race in the Texas Hill Country. We see photos of Fiona from her high school and college graduation ceremonies until we finally see an image of her standing next to the late Jack Gaither on their wedding day. The black-and-white photo fades down into a distorted image as the initial tune becomes slowed down, like a phonograph. Then... }
"ONE! TWO!! ONE-TWO!!! ONE-TWO-THREE-FOUR!!!!"
{ ...a blast of pyro goes off as the Halestorm song "Love Bites (So Do I) kicks into high gear. We see Fiona hopping onto the stage with a rugged smile on her face, looking around at the cheering crowd as she twirls a replica of her trusty bullwhip around and around. }
"Don't listen what your girlfriend says She reads those magazines That say you fail the test You don't have what she needs I'll slither like a viper And get you by the neck I know a thousand ways to help you forget about her That chick can eat her heart out
Love bites, but so do I, so do I Love bites, but so do I, so do I Love bites..."
{ She strolls down the rampway, hugging and high-fiving folks along the way before handing the replica whip to a child as a souvenir. }
Terri Morasco: Fiona is here and...she's looking a little slower than usual.
Vasco Dias: Yeah, yeah...she doesn't have it anymore...
Terri Morasco: God forbid, Vasco: We do understand that she's having some health problems, but she's gonna let us know what's going on via Facebook and YouTube within the coming days.
{ Blue Shoes checks on Fiona first and foremost, as she doesn't appear to be her "normal" self. To her credit, she nods her head and mouths the words "I'm a'right..." as... }
[DING!]
{ ...the bell is rung. Fiona and Virginia fought back and forth for a solid ten minutes of action. Fiona, trying to shake off an obvious issue with her health, applies a pair of armdrag takedowns as the former Imperial Diamond champion charges. Holding onto the left arm, the Northern Irishwoman -- perhaps more methodical than usual -- takes Virginia down to the mat and transitions into an armbar. Virginia squiggles free of the hold...only for Fiona to kick her squarely in the ribs before connecting with a haigh-arcing vertical suplex that gets her a two-count. Fiona slowly gets up, obviously feeling some discomfort in her neck. }
Terri Morasco: This isn't good for Fiona. As we all know by now, she's had neck problems throughout her career.
Vasco Dias: Tell ya what...I'll give her credit though, she's still on the offensive.
Terri Morasco: My concern is how long can this last...?!
{ Fiona tries to send Virginia into the ropes, but she winds up being reversed instead. The Northern Irishwoman bounces off the ropes and into a knee strike that sends her head over heels! McFly does all she can to protect the most vulnerable spot in her neck as Virgina rains down with the right hands. As she begins using closed fists, Blue Shoes starts counting. Upon reaching four, Virginia breaks away before connecting with a snap suplex! Fiona is caught off-guard with a spinning heel kick as she tries to get back to a vertical base; Virginia covers but only gets a count of two. }
Vasco Dias: Virginia looks to capitalize on Fiona's bad neck!
Terri Morasco: Kind of disgraceful, come to think of it...
{ Virginia gives Fiona a dirty look as the former Women's World Champion pulls herself back up to her feet...but as Stepanov charges, McFly counters with her patented Iron Claw! Virginia flails her arms as she's paralyzed in the middle of the ring, with Fiona digging her fingernails deep inside her opponent's temples! Fiona lets go of the hold and connects with a wild discus punch -- a classic favourite in wrestling circles -- and goes for the cover! }
1...!
2...!!
THREEEEEEEEEEEEE--ANNNNT, NOOOO!!!!
{ Fiona, sporting a seriously stern look on her mug, goes right back to work and rains down with open-handed rights and lefts! She gets back up and starts to perform some Freddie Mercury-esque on-stage struts for the cheering crowd! }
Vasco Dias: Talk about a lack of social graces...
Terri Morasco: You think...!?!
{ Virginia gets back to her feet and watches as Fiona turns out...and right into that taekwondo-style kick to ths schozz that Stepanov likes to dub "Grounded." She then looks down at a prone Fiona and spits in her general direction, causing ire from both the crowd AND the zebra in charge before going for the pin! }
1...!
2...!!
THREEEEEEEEEE--YEAH...AWWWWWWW....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Terri Morasco: Now THAT was a real lack of social graces!
Vasco Dias: No, that's just sending a message...
Terri Morasco: I got a feeling that Fiona's gonna be all riled up!
{ Fiona slowly guides herself to her feet using the ropes, with Blue Shoes giving Virginia the dreaded two fingers! He also whispers into Fiona's ear, letting her know of Virginia's actions before that last pin attempt. Clearly in pain from the whiplash effect of that kick, Fiona marches toward Virginia and counters a right hand by the former Imperial Diamond Champion into a DIAMOND CUTTER!! But we see that Fiona's neck is becoming a fast problem, and she can't properly transition into her signature D'arce choke! }
Terri Morasco: Oh, I had a feeling this was gonna happen!
Vasco Dias: Virgina's got this in the bag...
Terri Morasco: It's highly unlikely Fiona would just give in like this. Look at her fight through the pain...!!!
{ Blue Shoes immediately walks over and asks Fiona is she's okay; Fiona responds "let me fight this through..." as the longtime ref nods his head. At that moment in time, Virginia -- who was on the wrong end of a Diamond Cutter -- has pulled herself back to a vertical base and plasters Fiona with the Claymore Kick dubbed the FINAL RIDE! Virginia covers and gets the three-count! }
------------------------------------ SEGMENT Who came out as the imperial diamonds champion?
------------------------------------ {The lights dim as the arena begins to pulse with a driving drumbeat that the audience quickly joins in with, sending reverberating pulses through the building. After a few moments, the drums are joined by the driving strings line of Fall Out Boy's Phoenix as a spotlight shines down on Astrid Hall, standing amidst the crowd as she looks down at the ring with an eager smile.}"PUT ON YOUR WAR PAINT!" {On cue, she raises the Diamonds Championship belt over her head and descends to the ring, bouncing with excitement with every step. She leaps up onto the apron and climbs the turnbuckle, raising one fist in the air and pumping it along with the beat of the song. After removing her coat and tossing it to ringside, she vaults over the turnbuckle into the ring, where she cracks her knuckles and raises a mic.}Astrid Hall: "My friends... I KEPT MY PROMISE!" {The crowd cheers as Astrid beams into the camera, almost - but not quite - managing to contain the emotions of the moment. After a few moments she gestures for the crowd to settle as she slings the belt over her shoulder.}Astrid Hall: "I have so many people I am grateful for, to help get me to this moment. So many people who never stopped encouraging me, people who held me up when I was down... but right now I want to address just one woman. One woman who pushed me harder than I've been pushed in too long. One woman who helped me not by telling me that I had it in me... but by daring me to prove it. I want to thank Virginia Stepanov. Virginia... you gave me a fight. Not just a match. Not just a competition, you... you gave me a FIGHT. A chance to prove once and for all that I'm not here out of, of pity. That I'm not here because of some nostalgia trip. I'm here because through everything, I STILL DESERVE TO BE HERE! You let me prove that to you, you let me prove it to our fans, and most importantly you let me prove it to myself. And for that... thank you." {The crowd cheers again, but Astrid keeps talking.}Astrid Hall: "And in that, I find myself with a privilege and a burden. Because you fought hard, HARD... to honor this belt. You were its inaugural champion, you defended it five times for more than half a year. You defined this championships' origin, Virginia, and now it's up to me to determine its future. Because as we all know... sometimes someone starts something good, but those they pass it on to let its legacy down. Virginia... I promise you now that I'm not going to let your legacy down. I'm not going to let this be anything other than what you fought so hard to make it in to." {She smiles as she paces around the ring, her eyes growing more ferocious.}Astrid Hall: A long time ago, one of my ancestors stood upon a bridge before the whole army of King Harold Godwinson. One man stood on that bridge, alone, with ten thousand soldiers before him... and he planted his feet, raised his axe, and dared them come. It is with the spirit of that man that I turn this ring, this championship, into my own Stamford Bridge. I stand before anyone who wants to come for me. I don't care when. I don't care how. But don't you DARE let me rest on my laurels. Don't you DARE make me feel comfortable. I want you to push me. I want you to wound me. I want you to storm upon me with all your strength and all your ambition. One at a time, two at a time, I don't care. There's only one thing I want... Ladies... Gentlemen... My Paint is On -" {She raises the mic into the air}Crowd: "GIVE ME MY WAR!" ------------------------------------ SINGLE MATCHHeiress to the throne match Amber Cooke vs Vivienne Rodgers ------------------------------------ {Amber wins}------------------------------------ SEGMENTTelevision world title holder? ------------------------------------{A short vignette of a Viking war ship arriving to a new land plays on the big screen. Two dozen warriors leap from the ship and run onto land, the sound of their boots on the gravel beach fills the arena. Slowly the sounds of boots becomes John Bonhamâs thunder like drums as Immigrant Song begins to blast from the arena sound system. As the banshee like screams of Robert Plant begins âThe Modern Day Vikingâ is dressed for battle in a khaki colored âModern Day Vikingâ t-shirt, desert camo cargo pants, and combat boots. The IWF World Television Championship is draped over his shoulder.}I am the IWF World Television Champion, and I should be over the moon. After beating once tough son of a bit at Extreme Endurance, and donât let anyone in this company tell you that Locke ainât anything short of double tough, I should be the happiest man on planet Earth. I wasnât raised to show weakness, but the truth is Iâm not. Iâm not happy, in fact I am in the darkest place I have ever been in my entire life. {Gregor pauses and takes a deep breath, summoning up his courage to continue.} I donât sleep more than an hour or two at night. I just stare up at the ceiling of whichever hotel room Iâm calling home that night and think about all of the things that could go wrong. I canât stop the thoughts just keep running through my brain non-stop. When I do finally fall asleep out of shear exhaustion the dreams are too real. I wake up covered in sweat and breathing like Iâve run a marathon, but I never can remember the nightmares. Since I left the Corps Iâve truly been blessed more times than I probably deserve. A chance meeting at an airport led me to a profession that I truly love, and gives me a comfortable life. I never had to deal with the negative things that many of my brothers at arms have faces, like the nightmares and depression. Damn it my life was good, until you came along Lucipher Crosse. You ruined my fucking life with your attacks and your head games. You have made me a shadow of the man that I once was. {Winter leans against the ropes staring at the ramp.}Yet somehow I find myself standing here in front of all these people as Television Champion. I keep weathering the storm and coming out the otherside victorious. The problem is I don't just want to survive. I didn't come to IWF to just survive. I came to dominate and Crosse and his merry band of rejects are standing in my way, and I'm sick of it. So Lucipher why don't you send all your little freaks down here to face me one by one. Send down Nick Knight and your Disciples, hell said down your whole congregation. I'll whip all their asses, but enough of this sneak attack crap. {Reach Out and Touch Faith screams from the sound system as Personal Jesus by Lollipop Lust ]Kill begins to play. Lucifer Crosse and Nick Knight step out onto the entrance ramp in matching black suits.}Lucifer Crosse: Oh Gregor, Gregor, Gregor what makes you think for one moment that you have the right to demand anything of the Son. You are a mear peasant basking in the glow of Unholy Greatness. You are simply filth Gregor and, well to be quite frank, you badass act is really quite laughable. Maybe it's because you're so damn stupid. {Out of nowhere the camera man in the ring rears back and blasts winter in the head with his large camera. The big man crumbles to the canvas a gash over his eye already starting to gush blood.}Teri Morasco: This needs to stop before Gregor Winter is seriously injured! Vasco Dias: Gregor knows what he needs to do to make it stop. He's just a pig headed fool, but Lucipher Crosse will beat some sense into him. {A security guard slides into the ring to stop the attack. Then at the last second he starts laughing and putting the boots to the downed Winter. Reaching into a pouch on his belt he pulls out a set of handcuffs.}Teri Morasco: Someone needs to get down here and stop this! Vasco Dias: Security seems to have it under control. {The security guard locks one side of the cuffs to Winter's wrist and the other to the ring ropes. Once Gregor is firmly locked in place Crosse walks towards the ring smiling from ear to ear. Climbing into the ring he pulls out a pair of cordless hair trimmers and begins shaving the head of the Television Champion.}Teri Morasco: This is despicable! Vasco Dias: I think it's a good look. {The scene fades to commercial.}------------------------------------ SINGLES MATCHHeiress to the throne matchJessica Reed vs Candy Kane ------------------------------------
Allison Valance: âThe following match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, Candy âNo Relationâ Kane!â
As the Me Too - Meghan Trainor starts Candy struts down the ramp before climbing into the ropes posing for the crowd.
Allison Valance: â Introducing next, IWF Hall fo Famer, Jessica Reed!â
The lights in the arena go out as "Die Young" by Ke$ha hits the PA system and the crowd go nuts. Strobe lighting begins to flash in various colours around the arena as Jessica Reed emerges from behind the curtain to a standing ovation. She smile and waves to the fans before steadying herself for a gentle sprint to the ring, slapping the hands of fans as she goes much to their delight. Reaching the ring steps she climbs up to the top of the turnbuckle and continues to wave the crowd, pumping them up even more before hopping down into the ring.
Blue shoes rings the bell.
The ladies circle each other then grapple. Jessica gains the upper hand with superior technique and transfers to a head lock. She then hooks a leg of Candyâs and does a Dragon Screw. Candy pops up and tries to hit Jessica with a stiff leg kick but Jessica hops over. Jessica then sweeps Candy and in motion lands Peanut Butter Jelly Time. Jessica flips Candy and goes for a Snap Crackle and Pop. Candy hollers in pain as Jessica wrenches on her shoulder and arm. Candy tries to fight and reach but to no avail. Her hand slaps the ring as Blue Shoes stops the match.
Allison Valance: âYour winner, Jessica Reed!â
------------------------------------ SEGMENT Men's world title holder address ------------------------------------
{The camera comes on to Dean Harper sitting on a throne with his leg over the arm, the men's world title on his waist.}
Dean Harper: It's not like anyone is surprised how that turned out, are they?
{Dean winks at the camera.}
Dean Harper: It is absolutely back where it belongs, where it has always belonged. I fucking told you.
{Dean swings himself to sitting upright.}
Dean Harper: And this is where it is going to stay. Because not one amongst you can stop me.
