[This is a continuation from the Roulette RP #1.]
“Pappa!” a shrill, excited voice could be heard from off the camera; Ulf set his title down on the bench, and knelt down in front of the bench with his arms stretched out, and in ran a little girl into Ulf’s arms, and he wrapped his arms around her, embracing her in a hug.
“Meine kjærlighet!” Ulf scooped the little girl up, and swung her carefully around, “Jeg visste ikke at du skulle komme!”
“Mamma tok meg! Hun sa at jeg kan bli her i kveld.” she spoke cheerfully. The camera panned out as the mother, Ulf’s ex-girlfriend, walked into the home gym and just leaned against the doorframe.
Ulf smiled, and nodded to his daughter; he glanced up at the mother and the two exchanged a genuine smile, and a nod as a greeting, before he turned his full attention back to his daughter, “Da kan du! Har du hjemmelekser?”
The girl shook her head as Ulf set her down, and she immediately went for the IWF Television Championship and smiled at her own reflection on the golden plate.
“Det var det?” the girl asked without taking her eyes off the plate.
“Ja,” Ulf said, and tucked his hands into the pockets of his shorts.
“Det er skinnende! Kan jeg bruke den?” the girl continued with excitement in her voice.
“Ja. Men det er tungt.” Ulf said in an almost mocking tone.
“Jeg er sterk!” she said, as she stood up.
“Du er?!” Ulf said as he knelt down. “Bevis det. Slå me.” he said, pointing to his chin… the little girl obliged her father, and slugged him right on the chin! “Ow! Du er sterk! Du kan bruke den. Den er din!”
There were no more words from the girl. She picked up the championship, albeit with a bit of a struggle, but she got it onto her shoulder and carried it as if it were a doll. She marched past her mother with the strap of the championship dragging a bit onto the floor, and into the main living area of the house.
“Jeg visste ikke at du kom forbi,” (I didn't know you were coming by) Ulf said, as he walked toward his ex-girlfriend who shall remain nameless for the time being, and the two embraced in a hug.
“Jeg hørte at du var i byen og hadde en nøkkel.” (I heard you were in town, and had a key.) she replied, as the two walked in from the garage. Ulf flicked the switch on as he walked past the door frame, and the two joined their daughter in the living room who was sitting on the couch with the championship laid across her lap. “Jeg må til Trondheim. Jeg trodde du kan ha noen dager til å se på henne.” (I have to go to Trondheim. I thought you may have a few days to watch her.)
“Ja, det hadde vært flott!” (Yes, that would be great!) Ulf said enthusiastically, “Jeg må bare fly ut den fjerde. En flytur over natten.” (I just have to fly out on the fourth. An overnight flight.)
The mother nodded her head a few times, before turning her attention to their daughter and walking over kneeling down in front of her, “Baby, jeg må til Trondheim. Du kommer til å bli hos pappaen din. Er det greit?” (Baby, I have to go to Trondheime. You are going to stay with your daddy. Is that okay?) she said.
Their daughter did not take her eyes off the shimmering championship, but replied, “Det er greit.” (That is fine.)
“Kan jeg få en klem?” (Can I have a hug?) the mother asked. Their daughter leaned forward and hugged her mother tightly, but did not want to let the belt go. “Jeg elsker deg!” (I love you!) the mother exclaimed.
“Jeg elsker deg også, mamma.” (I love you too, mama.) said the daughter in the sweetest tone.
The mother stood up and waved to the daughter who made a quick wave before just looking at the belt and letting her fingers graze it.
“Vær trygg.” (Be safe.) Ulf said, and the two hugged before the mother finally left the house.
“Skal vi spille et videospill?” (Shall we play a video-game?” Ulf asked his daughter as he walked forward and sat on the floor, taking the Xbox Series X controller into his hands to turn the console on. The television turns on automatically as the console powers on. The scene goes out with Ulf just relaxing at home with his daughter, who is just in admiration, and amazement of the championship that is his… well… hers… now.
