The camera comes on to Dean sitting on an altar of a burned-out and abandoned church.
“I entered this company as an in-ring competitor in 2017. I went from being a thrall of Rowan to being the breakout star of the year in 2017.”
Behind him on the wall clips play of Dean coming in second in Heir to the throne.
“I have held the strong style belt twice.”
On the wall, it plays a clip of Dean knocking Dev out and pinning Andrew Jacobsen.
“I was called the demon of steel. Harbinger. Tool. Most Loyal. Oathbreaker. The Good Son.”
A bunch of clips of Dean beating men to a bloody pulp, licking Mason St Cruix skull, breaking Xavier Cross to retirement, beating James Gilmore with a barbed wire bat.
“In the four years, I’ve been in this company I have held the world championship twice. I was the youngest world champion in this company. I left a bloody path of destruction behind me wherever I went.”
Clip of Dean pinning Gilmore for the belt and the picture of him holding the world title and being escorted away from the Dragon’s Den.
“I have been the force that was the last match many men had before they tucked their tail between their legs and went into retirement. I have been the attack dog to put motherfuckers in their place. I don’t give a fuck about my own well-being. I have wrestled to the point of ending up in the hospital multiple times. Because when I want to fucking win I don’t hold back.”
Dean smiles at the camera.
“There are lots of things I have done in this company. I have been Joker in the Pack. I have been Heir to the Throne. I’ve been a villain and I’ve been a monster. But you know what’s one thing I haven’t gotten to be yet?”
Dean crosses his legs.
“I’ve never won the roulette. That is the one thing I have never done. And I’d be lying if I didn’t think about that from time to time. I’ve been close but never made it to be the last man standing. And I want that. I want that more than fucking anything. See, there are guys on the Hall of Fame list who haven’t done half the shit I have. Sure, they had long title reigns but longer reigns. But they haven’t had as much as I have. Kidnapped, tortured, used as a tool against my own father by my ‘dark mother’. I have had my love life destroyed in the ring, I have had men use the death of the women I love used against me.”
Dean leans forward.
“I know there will be people who will say I shouldn’t go for this. If I loved Warren I wouldn’t want to face him at Night of the Immortals. Except I do. I love you Warren, I know you know that. I loved Max but I love you as well and I never want you to doubt that. I love you… I am who I am because of you. You are every reason, every hope and every dream I've ever had, and no matter what happens to us in the future, every day we are together is the greatest day of my life. Trust me on that, okay?”
Dean takes a deep breath.
“I want to win the roulette. For many reasons. First of which is the main event of Night of the immortals is the biggest pay per view of the goddamn year and Warren deserves to defend his title against an actual threat. He isn’t like some of the pathetic idiots in this company who are satisfied with easy defenses. He deserves the best of the best. That list is very small.”
Dean winks.
“Yes, selfishly I also want to cross off that last accomplishment. But it’s not the only reason. It will be the greatest match of our career. And sure, I already got a title shot based on the good work I did in my role as the lumberjack but maybe I can use that to convince Boss-man to give me a good number too. Who can say? Even if I get put in the number one slot I have no doubt I will come out on top of this. I usually do. Make your peace boys on not getting to the ending line.”
Dean blows a kiss.
