“The last time that I got close to the World Championship was during my feud with Angel. Some of you may remember that, and some of you may remember how heated that got… it took everything out of me, but I was not able to walk out with the championship because my victory came via disqualification. Just like the battle royal is giving me a potential opportunity for the IWF World Television Championship… but the Roulette… the Roulette is giving me a GUARANTEED opportunity at the IWF World Championship! That is one of the belts that has eluded me from every promotion that I’ve been in since I debuted in 2008.
A World Championship.
I have held a couple championships, but I’ve only ever had…” Seth holds a finger up, “One. Opportunity. One opportunity. There is no denying what is going on in my mind: I want to make the most of this opportunity! I want to do what has eluded me for my entire career: I want to be the World Champion! I remember, being like all of you… being new… being the rookie… the newcomer… THAT is what all of us are dreaming about, and let me be frank with all of you,” Seth points to the exit, “If you are not thinking about one day holding that illustrious championship over your head and being announced… at Night of the Immortals… as the new IWF World Champion, then get out. Go! And I’m not kidding with any of you, and Tara would tell you the same thing: if you do not want to see yourself as the best that the company and industry has to offer… then you are holding yourselves back, and you are wasting our time!” Seth said sternly.
“Now, that is not to get people to shy people away from the tag team specialist route, such as Vendetta,” Seth gestures to Jessé, “But I am certain that he, like anyone else, will take the opportunity to compete in the Roulette because he, too, would like to walk around as the World Champion! And even better… he’s on the path to hold not only the IWF World Championship, but also the IWF World Tag Team Titles! But… that’s why I am looking to get myself back together. I want to see our future blossom; I want to see all of you do well, but I also have my own agenda! I have my own goal! And that is to win the Roulette! That is to become the IWF World Champion! I have wasted enough of my own time by stepping out, and coming back. Stepping out, and coming back. Yeah, I had other callings along the way…”
Seth tilted his head slightly, “There are a few things about me that most of you do not know… and that’s okay… not everyone needs to know every detail of my life, but I will say that everything I’ve sought out to do-- every goal that I’ve ever had, I have gone on to accomplish it! Winning the World Championship is one of the goals that has, as I said, eluded me for my entire professional wrestling career! And helping the future of the industry is one reason for me to be here, but another reason is simple… to FINISH what I’ve started! To become the IWF World Champion! There are a lot of people that are trying to convince others that they want to participate in the Roulette… and listen, I understand that not everyone can win the Roulette. There are people in the IWF Hall of Fame that have never won the Roulette. There are former World Champions, former Man of Steel Champions, former Heavyweight, Cruiserweight, and whatever former title used to belong to the IWF where people have earned their way into the IWF Hall of Fame! But… they have not won the Roulette.”
Seth nods his head a moment, understanding himself that this is one of the toughest tasks in all of the IWF. The Roulette. Some people said you had a better chance at winning the lotto than winning the Roulette.
“The Roulette… is… a stepping stone for me. I want to win the Roulette, absolutely! That would be something… amazing… something that cannot be replaced! Something astounding! But that is not my end goal. That is not my endgame. My endgame is,” Seth Evans points to the rafters where one of the old posters for Night of the Immortals is hanging, “Main event. Night of the Immortals. IWF World Champion.”
