Following Sacrifice

The reigning IWF World Television Champion is walking backstage, and beside him was his opponent for the evening: Thunderchild. Thunderchild is already patched up. The two are discussing their favorite spots from the match, and congratulating each other for the tough fight. The duo reach the door, and before they can knock, the door swings open, and there stands Team Diversity Hire.

“Perfect,” said Nate, who was the member who answered the door, “Thea, your dad’s back!” he calls out before turning his attention back to the TV Champion, “Congratulations on the win! And good fight out there, Thunderchild.” Nate said with a sincere smile.

“Takk!” replied Ulf, “Og takk again for watching Thea…”

“Anytime,” Nate replied.

The scampering of feet can be heard as Thea rushes to the door with her arms outstretched, “Pappa!” she squeals happily.

“Nei, nei. Hva do du say?” Ulf asked Thea as he set her back down.

She turned toward Nate and appeared to suddenly become shy again, “Takk for den morsomme kvelden.” she said while looking down at her feet.

“In engelsk.” Ulf said sternly.

“Thank you for the fun evening!” Thea said more excitedly before hiding behind her father's leg.

From the back of the room, another set of feet could be heard scampering, and Justine’s voice could be heard, “Vi ses, Thea!” The two children giggled, and Ulf picked Thea back up, as the adults all said their farewells.

“Jeg taught her that!” Thea said to Ulf with more excitement. Thea leaned against Ulf’s shoulder and looked with questionable eyes at Thunderchild. “Hvem er dette?”

“In engelsk,” Ulf said again.

“Who is that?” Thea replied.

“Dette is min venn, og brother… Thunderchild.”

“Hi, Thoonderchild!”

“Hi!” Thunderchild replied pleasantly.

“Justine taught me… she taught me the baby-- the baby shark song! Do you want to hear?!” Thea said.

“And with that, you’re on your own!” Thunderchild said, and he darted off his own way.

Thea began singing the song to Ulf who rolled his eyes, and mouthed the words “hvorfor” while carrying her through the hallway toward the parking garage for his rental. Scene ends.
