HOUR ONE
{ The show opener for Friday Night Sacrifice plays to the theme of Born for One Thing by Gojira showing clips of all the current champions as well as some of the biggest stars in IWF currently. After the open plays we head to the studio where Laura Howlett stands with Keybo Shabaz. }
Laura Howlett: Welcome to the first ever Friday Night Sacrifice! A new day! A new time! A new format! And somehow IWF couldn’t find the money to find a NEW CO HOST!
Keybo Shabaz: I was wondering how you were going to work an insult into your opening monologue.
Laura Howlett: It’s pretty easy when your cohost is the set up for literally every joke I know!
Keybo Shabaz: That seems unlikely but let’s roll with it.
Laura Howlett: We are your hosts, Laura Howlett and Flubber Shabaz!
Keybo Shabaz: Keybo Shabaz.
Laura Howlett: What’s the difference!? We will be hosting the festivities for the evening and do we ever have a big show for you! The Heir to the Throne has begun, points are on the line, who will earn a Men’s World Title shot at Legacy!?
Keybo Shabaz: We’ve got perhaps the most stacked field we have ever had, Laura, it is truly any man’s game!
Laura Howlett: I’m so happy you get paid for such in depth analysis.
Keybo Shabaz: I’m happy you seemingly get paid to berate me for two hours a week.
Laura Howlett: Me too! Now lt’s throw it to our commentators, Terri Morasco and Vasco Dias as they call the action in our first match up! The Rising Dragons take on one of the few teams they can beat! The worthless duo!
Keybo Shabaz: Actually, I think the Rising Dragons have a segment first.
Laura Howlett: Christ almighty.
SEGMENT
“Victory Park”
{ Outside the American Airlines Center, a large crowd has gathered outside to watch the inaugural Friday Night Sacrifice on the big screen. Standing next to the famed Dirk Nowitzki bronze statue, we find James Gilmore taking in the sights with his wife Yulia and their children, seated together in a double-stroller. The sights and smells...this was home, and JJ wanted to milk in the moments for as long as he could as he waited for his partner, Nick Danger. }
James Gilmore: There he is -- hey dude, over here!!
{Nick Danger makes his way to James Gilmore,Yulia and their children. With a group of people with him.}
Nick Danger: Hey James, lovely Yulia and the beautiful little ones!! Is everyone excited for Friday Night Sacrifice?
{ The gathering crowd cheers as they see the action going on. JJ nods his head before showing >Nick the Dirk statue. }
James Gilmore: Twenty-one years with the same team, man. What Dirk did here was legendary stuff. Tonight, we give these people some more legendary memories to think about.
{ The ex-Islander sees that Nick isn’t alone either. }
James Gilmore: I see you’ve brought some guests over!
Nick Danger: Yeah I brought my family to the show.
{ Nick Danger introduces his family one by one. He first introduce his father. }
Nick Danger: This is my father Max Danger. He taught me how to wrestle when I was seven years old. He also taught me technical wrestling.
Max Danger:I sure as hell he did have trouble learning at first, but he learned how to hone his skill in the ring. It is very nice to meet you, James.
{ Nick Danger he introduce his mother. }
Nick Danger:This pretty lady is my mother Maria Danger. She kept this army in check when we all got really mad at each other and wanted to fight each other.
Maria Danger: I always put you guy’s in check because each of you guys were knuckleheads in the house. And each of you thought I could not pick you guys up and put you down on your backs...including my boneheaded husband.
{Nick Danger goes to his two siblings one is younger than him the other sibling is much taller and older than him. }
Nick Danger: This is my younger brother Alex”The Falcon” Danger. He is two years younger than me. I am 26; he is 24 years old. Alex does high flying a lot and can soar like a soaring Falcon in the sky.
Alex Danger:Yup I learn from the very best in the ring. It is a pleasure meeting a two time former IWF World Heavyweight Champion in the flesh.
Nick Danger:This big guy right here is my older brother Owen ”The Superior Genius” Danger. He's been wrestling ever since he was five years old and is now a 34 year old veteran . He also made a great choice of joining IWF.
Owen Danger:I see a lot of potential in IWF. I like a challenge -- maybe I will meet you in the ring, James. Only time will tell.
{ JJ couldn’t help but chuckle on the inside; it was so much for him to take in...at least, that’s how his mind processed the whole thing. Still, he shook everyone’s hand and directed everyone to head on inside the building. }
James Gilmore: Nick, I’ll see ya in a bit…
{ The Islander alum took a deep breath, seemingly entering a meditative state. }
TAG TEAM MATCH
HTTT Points are on the line for James Gilmore
The Rising Dragons vs Warren Suffering and Mr. Happy
Laura Howlett: What the hell was that?
Keybo Shabaz: A nice little team building session.
Laura Howlett: It was a like a bad family reunion no one was invited to or wanted to go to but happened all around you anyways!
Keybo Shabaz: A flash family reunion?
Laura Howlett: Exactly. Jesus. Let's just get to the match!
{ We cut to the American Airlines Center to see the Rising Dragons make their entrance, along with Mr. Happy and Warren Suffering. For all intensive purposes, JJ got the loudest pop of the night considering that this was his home field, and the Dragons didn't disappoint the vocal crowd. Nick Danger got some good shots in on Mr. Happy and vice versa; both men traded two-counts as Warren tried to keep Danger isolated from Gilmore. This backfired once JJ was tagged in -- and all hell broke loose from there as Happy and Warren wound up on the business end of a pair of dropkicks! Eventually, with Nick Danger brawling on the outside with Warren Suffering, JJ has Mr. Happy locked into his patented WIPEOUT submission! The AAC crowd goes nuts as Happy has little recourse but to tap out, ending the match at just a shade under nine minutes! Back in the mobile studio, located in Victory Park... We rejoin Laura and Keybo in the studio. }
Laura Howlett: Absolutely no surprise in that show opener. The Risisng Dragons would've had to die mid match to lose to the worthless duo!
Keybo Shabaz: Can you just lay off Gilmore?
Laura Howlett: Not as long as he still lives. Now, Terri, Vasco, take us to the next contest, Evan Albrecht vs Abraxes!

Evan Albrecht vs Abraxes
{We open on the backstage, focusing on a door as suddenly exploding through it holding a kendo stick wrapped in barbed wire is Evan , currently smiling as he stands up ad heads into the unlit room , the light flicker and Evan comes exploding through another, entirely separate door as backstage crew start to converge and Evan growled with a roar.}
Evan: GIVE HER BACK!
{Evan charges back in with a guttural roar , dropping the Kendo stick as We focus back on the ring side as the lights flicker again, Abraxes stood in the middle of the ring as Evan kicks him in the face an d rebounds off the ropes to launch into a Lou Thez Press and gets ready to hthe Touch of rage before the light flicker out again and Abraxes is stood behind Evan who seems to move more in instinct than anything approaching common sense as he rolls backwards turning around to lanch strokes at Abraxes, the first couple seem to strike abut get no reaction and then Abraxes catches Evan by the Throat and goes to launch him between the ropes even as Evan again rolls with impact and starts to get up slowly Abraxes now looking to follow.
Evansnarls his defiance and as ABraxes stuck he s head out the ring Evan clinches up to try and Hit the Wyld hunt but doesn’t really managed to get a full rotation more ending in a Neck Whip onto the floor before Abraxes after a moment of pause Sits up to titls his head to one side, only for EAvn to clatter him with a CHir and dive on top of him hand looking to pull and tear at the mask as he screams ioin Abraxes' face no longer making sense
The lights once again turn black and Evan is left on the floor empty handed even as officials charge out to try and stop him, Evan standing up with the chair, the bell still rings as One, two, Three Refs get the Chair. The chair is pulled away A ref gets elbowed, Evan’s fury now knowing no particular target, everyone getting a piece as he’s marching to the back .
The Lights go black again.
When they come back on Abraxes has Evan up in the crucifix Bomb Consign to Dream and takes a few steps to throw the other superstar off the stage into the piles of equipment where there are sparks and after another flicker of lights, Abraxes tilts his head….and there’s no sign of Evan, just a hole where his body had gone sparks and the faint sense of electrical smoke. The referee calls the match for Abraxes. }
{ Cut to Laura and Keybo after a short commercial break for Blue Chew. }
Laura Howlett: What an incredible contest! Abraxes is an absolute monster.
Keybo Shabaz: And Evan Albrecht is a rising star. I could see either man main eventing Legacy.
Laura Howlett: Absolutely. But I know two people who will never main event anything but a strip club eventually. Terri, Vasco, try not to fall asleep during this next match!
Keybo Shabaz: Crystal has been a staple of women's wrestling for a decade, Laura.
Laura Howlett: Sorry, it's my coffee break.
SINGLES MATCH
Crystal vs Caroline Machado
{ We cut back inside the American Airlines Center as Crystal has already made her entrance to the ring. We see shots of Dallas Stars players Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin sitting at ringside, enjoying the action. }
Terri Morasco: Dallas has always been a great city to visit. They love their sports teams and so much more!
Vasco Dias: They all suck -- especially the Cowboys!
"Her ongoing mission...to boldly go where no one has gone before..."
{ The voice of Sir Patrick Stewart echoes throughout the arena before Dua Lipa's "Levitating" begins to blare. A blast a pyro goes off as Caroline Machado heads out to the stage, dancing to the beat of the tune while sporting a brief, but warmhearted grin on her face. }
"(Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
I got you, moonlight, you're my starlight
I need you, all night
Come on, dance with me
(I'm levitating)
You, moonlight, you're my starlight
I need you, all night
Come on, dance with me
(I'm levitating)"
{ The Brazilian shimmies and twirls down the ramp, often stopping to give some lucky fans a hug or two. Her motion is fluid as she makes her way down to the ring, again dancing to the beats. }
"You can fly away with me tonight
You can fly away with me tonight
Baby, let me take you for a ride
(Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
(I'm levitating)
You can fly away with me tonight
You can fly away with me tonight
Baby, let me take you for a ride
(Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)..."
{ The lights fade out to a rotating green and yellow hue, with Caroline continuing to dance and pose for the cheering crowd. Eventually, the lights come back on as she gets into her MMA fighting position and waits for the match to start. We see a split-screen of Laura and Keybo in the mobile studio -- in which Howlett clearly sports a disgusted look on her face! }
Keybo Shabazz: What an amazing entrance by Caroline!
Laura Howlett: Make this misery stop, please...!?!
{ Back in the ring, the bell has rung! Caroline Machado got another loud pop on this night -- especially from a large section of her classmates at UT-Arlington, along with All Infamous recruits who paid to get into the building! The match was fast-paced, with both women seemingly pulling out all the stops to give the Dallas cowd a good thrill. Crystal got some decent offense in, culminating with a high cross-body that got her a two-count. But Caroline was just one step ahead of Crystal on this night, keeping the high-flyer grounded with some of her patented MMA offense. At the 7:35 mark, Caroline was able to plant Crystal with her signature SERVICE ACE RKO maneuver and score the impressive three-count! }
Terri Morasco: What a huge week for Caroline! Getting on TV yesterday as the featured guest on KDFW's Good Day morning show, and now...this impressive win here tonight!
Vasco Dias: I wanna go home...
{ A quick commercial breaking featuring Steve Awesome promoting Manscape. Then we transition back to Laura and Keybo in studio. }
Laura Howlett: Hopefully not the entire audience tuned out after that last match because we have something truly special next.
Keybo Shabaz: Absolutely! A first time match up between these two men. One of them is already a champion and the other will be soon enough.
Laura Howlett: The Big King takes on the Son of Fenix, next!
HEIR TO THE THRONE
SINGLES MATCH
Stephen Terrella vs Wraith
{ The lights throughout the arena go out row, by row, by row, until the arena is shrouded in absolute darkness. The lights come on and Wraith is standing in the center of the ring — in unison, the crowd let’s out a heavy gasp. He tilts his head back and forth, eyeing the crowd, while waiting for the match to begin. }
Vasco Dias: Crap! I hate when he does that! Why can't he walk down the ramp like a normal person?!
Terri Morasco: Wraith is a bit of enigma, that's for sure. He's a tremendous competitor inside those ropes, though. We've all seen what he's done to Angel Blake and Dean Harper, and those aren't easy marks to put on the tally sheet. Truthfully, I enjoy the entrance, too... but that's mostly because it scared the daylights out of you.
Vasco Dias: I thought we had a tight-knit working relationship thing going, Morasco.
Terri Morasco: Uh... no, we don't. You insult me almost weekly, and my mother hates you after you led with asking her if she had any special cats in her life at the Christmas party. I have no idea why you'd think that.
Vasco Dias: What was I supposed to say? I thought it'd be rude to ask her who butchered her hair!
{ The camera takes a long shot of the entryway as and the arena darkens and purple laser lights are cast upon the entry way. "Forfeit" begins to blare before Terrella makes his entrance alongside Portia thirteen seconds into the song. They take a few steps before stopping to stand side-by-side on the stage, Terrella on the left and Portia on the right. She places her left hand on his right shoulder and runs her right hand down his chest and abdomen as he lowers his glasses down the bridge of his nose before turning for a kiss. }
{ Terrella repositions his sunglasses and begins a slow walk toward the ring arm-in-arm with Portia. Fifty seconds into the song they reach the bottom of the stairs where they release arms. Terrella removes his sunglasses as the song picks up in intensity, surveying the arena for a few seconds with an intense stare and menacing scowl before handing his glasses to Portia and charging up the stairs and into the ring. }
Terri Morasco: You mentioned rude earlier, Vasco- and since you're an expert on the subject, do you think your best friends here made a mistake poking the bear this week? With Heir To The Throne points on the line, Tara has promised Wraith will deliver blood. I don't doubt her.
Vasco Dias: Ever punched a boulder, Morasco? No disrespect to Tara, but she can say whatever she wants, it doesn't mean it's going to happen. Wraith is legit, but he's not facing a guy known to play nice with others. Wraith has his work cut out for him if he's going to topple that mountain. Don't forget the elegant genius of Portia at ringside, either.
Terri Morasco: If we ever need a DNA sample from you, we'll just swab her right butt cheek. We heard Tara's promise there, too, though. If Portia involves herself, Tara said she'd jam that heel in her neck.
Vasco Dias: Terrella heard it, too. I talked to him before the show. I can't repeat the exact language, but given what he said, I'd advise Tara against going anywhere near Portia. Tara has enough issues with men, and she may end up far less pretty.
{ Terrella steps to Wraith in the center of the ring with a scowl; and Wraith answers with silence, devoid of any discernible emotion. Referee, Tommy Knocker, calls for the bell as Terrella says something inflammatory to Wraith. Wraith fails to respond. Terrella disrespectfully slaps Wraith across the mouth, yelling: "Fight me, boy." Fight Wraith does, kicking Terrella in the stomach and then surprising him with a sitout jawbreaker! Wraith is up quick, executing a shining wizard on Terrella. The large man keeps a knee though, and he goes straight for Wraith's eyes. }
{ Terrella strikes back, first with a headbutt, and then with a punishing lefthand. Terrella shoves the smaller Wraith back into the corner and smothers him with a barrage of standing clotheslines to the chest. Terrella drags Wraith's eyes across the top rope coming out of the corner, then drops him with a violent Samoan Drop. Terrella covers, spitefully driving his forearm into Wraith's face for a little extra punishment. Tommy Knocker slides into position, and his hand slaps the mat... One!... Two!!... No!!! Wraith kicks out! }
{ Terrella snatches Wraith up off the canvas, but Wraith demonstrates he's far from finished in this fight by throwing some punches to the King's stomach. Wraith creates some separation, and he quickly capitalizes with a Russian Leg Sweep that takes the back of Terrella's head into the middle turnbuckle. Wraith jumps on top of Terrella, pummeling him with a series of closed fists. Wraith begins to choke Terrella as the official, Tommy Knocker, admonishes him. Wraith completely ignores the official as Portia complains from the floor about Wraith's refusal to break the hold. Tommy stops his count at three, and he tries to pull Wraith off to no avail. Tommy starts to count again, and Portia climbs the apron and begins yelling at Wraith. }
{ Wraith finally relinquishes the choke of his own will, electing to pull Terrella into a seated position and deliver a standing front dropkick. Wraith goes into a cover, and Tommy slowly slides into position, delivering a slow count... One!... ... Two!!... ... Terrella places a foot on the ropes to break the pin!! Wraith remains emotionless, continuing his assault in a workman type fashion by delivering some kicks to Terrella's head. Terrella grabs Wraith by the front of his loosely fitted cargo pants though and pulls him face-first into the top turnbuckle. }
{ Terrella rises slowly, but goes on the offensive by dropping Wraith throat-first over the top rope. Terrella sucks in some much needed air after the assault moments before, and he scoops Wraith up and repeats the previous maneuver. Terrella drapes Wraith's throat over the middle rope, directly in front of the camera, and places a knee across the back of his neck, choking Wraith more as he yells into the camera: "Is this your fucking Heir!?" Terrella relents, grabbing the middle rope with both hands and yanking back, flinging Wraith's body off. Wraith shows no pain, but does remain motionless on the canvas for a moment. Terrella stomps down on Wraith's back, then aggressively pulls him up and delivers a pumphandle slam. }
{ Stephen pretends to blow snot on Wraith, then just punches him square in the back of his head. Terrella lumbers back a few steps as Portia roots him on. Terrella sets, looking for a spear. The crowd boos the King as Terrella waits on Wraith to stand. Wraith regains his footing, and Terrella charges, but Wraith sidesteps and uses Terrella's momentum to send him shoulder first into the steel ring post. Terrella cringes, coming out clutching his arm. Wraith applies a Fujiwara Armbar on Terrella's injured arm, smelling blood. Wraith wrenches on the hold after wrestling Terrella down, but the King uses his power to try to make the ropes. Sensing his adversaries plan, Wraith transitions the Fujiwara into a Cross Arm Bar. Terrella yells in anguish. }
{ Terrella desperately looks toward the ropes, and Portia on the outside. Tommy leans over to check on Terrella, asking him if he wants to quit. Terrella reaches up with his free hand and grabs Tommy by the collar, pulling him down on top of Wraith to break the hold. Terrella rolls for the ropes, clutching his arm as Wraith shoves Tommy Knocker off of him. Portia takes off her heels and hands one into Terrella while Tommy is distracted, and Terrella catches Wraith right in the eye area with the point of it as Wraith moves in, temporarily blinding him. Terrella seizes the moment to deliver a 'Diffuser' to Wraith, leaving him still on the canvas. Portia applauds on the outside. }
Terri Morasco: That woman has interjected herself again! Terrella won't fight his battles one-on-one! It's always numbers, or looking for a shortcut! Tara was right...
Vasco Dias: Tara doesn't know what she's talking about!
Terri Morasco: Speaking of Tara, why don't you tell her that then, Vasco? Here she comes down the ramp!
Vasco Dias: What!? Shit! Portia, get out of there! She's coming for you!
{ Tara walks the length of the ramp, and Portia catches her arrival out of the corner of her eye. Portia backs away from the entrance ramp, pleading her case to Tara as Fenix arrives ringside and starts circling for Portia. Terrified, Portia begs off. She says something, crossing her heart with one hand as she clutches her other heel in the other. Tara is having none of it, grabbing Portia by the wrist as the crowd erupts. Fenix rips the heel out of Portia's hand, looking at it, then at Portia as she smiles. Portia backs away, almost half running. }
Vasco Dias: Someone stop her! Where in the hell is security?! Portia isn't a wrestler! She can't defend herself against someone like Tara Fenix, and Tara has some evil intent on her mind with that shoe!
Terri Morasco: Tara made a promise to Portia, and I don't feel the least bit bad for her! You want to get physically involved in a match, this is the chance you take!
{ Terrella quickly slides out in between Portia and Tara, shielding his girlfriend from Fenix's wrath! }
Vasco Dias: That's love right there! The King isn't going to let his Queen be assaulted by this... this... psychopathic bully!
Terri Morasco: Tara and Terrella are having a stare down... and Tara Fenix hasn't backed down an inch! As accomplished as Tara is, this scares me. Fenix is less than half of Terrella's weight, and I'm not sure he won't go to blows with her.
Vasco Dias: She hasn't backed down because she's lost her mind! It's almost as if she's playing some type of game with Terrella! You just threatened the man's girlfriend, and a sane person might take that as a cue to get the hell out of there!
Terri Morasco: I'll say this, Terrella better be just as careful! This isn't a woman you take lightly and play games with, either!
{ Terrella gestures for Tara to come at him, telling her to: "Move, and see what the hell happens, princess. It won't end fucking well for you." Tara holds her ground, almost taunting Terrella with the shoe as their eyes remain locked. Terrella's attention has been completely pulled from Wraith though, and Wraith splits the ropes with a Suicide dive that sends Terrella crashing into the barricade as Portia scatters. }
Vasco Dias: Where did he come from!?
Terri Morasco: The ring! Clearly Terrella wasn't the only one not paying attention! Luckily for you, he's the only one paying the price for it! Wraith is digging under the ring now...
Vasco Dias: This match has gone off the rails! Tommy Knocker has lost all control, not that Tommy cares!
Terri Morasco: Wraith has a Singapore Cane!... And Wraith is wearing out Terrella's skull with it! Terrella is enduring shot after shot... and blood is streaming down his head as Wraith beats him! Terrella trying to crawl away!
{ Terrella grabs a steel chair and throws it at Wraith. Portia cheers Terrella on from a safe distance as Fenix keeps a close eye on her. Wraith blasts Terrella with a kick to the midsection, and whips him into the barricade. Wraith hoists Terrella up, sitting him atop the steel steps. He places Terrella's head against the ring post and backs away. Wraith tattoos Terrella with a Genocide Kick, sandwiching his head between boot and steel. Wraith rolls Terrella onto the apron, then under the bottom rope and inside the ring. Wraith goes to the top, and he comes crashing down onto Terrella with 'The Fallen One' to Portia's dismay. }
Terri Morasco: Wraith landed with all his weight on Terrella's chest! Wraith into a cover... One!... Two!!... Three!!!...
Vasco Dias: That's BS, and you know it, Morasco! Tara Fenix had no business coming out here! And Wraith... he's on something or something! That's not a normal human being!
{ The lights go out row by row. After a moment of darkness they come back up, and Wraith is gone. }
HOUR TWO
{ We rejoin Laura Howlett and Keybo Shabaz in the studio. }
Laura Howlett: Welcome to Hour Two of Friday Night Sacrifice! It looks like I’ll be carrying the weight of the rest of the show but thankfully Tytus can dead lift twice Keybo’s weight!
Keybo Shabaz: I actually started keto last week and I’ve already lost five pounds.
Laura Howlett: Eating just the taco bell meat and spending the night in the bathroom doesn’t count as exercise! Anyway, let’s head to the first match of hour two and it’s a big one!
Keybo Shabaz: We’ve got Dakota Bowman taking on one the best female stars in the history of the industry, Jess Reed!
Laura Howlett: I’m not one to besmirch a legacy-
Keybo Shabaz: *Snorts*
Laura Howlett: But I wouldn’t mind someone ripping off that bleached power puff girl head of Jess and shoving it right up her cosplaying ass.
Keybo Shabaz: Wow, jealous much?
Laura Howlett: Jealous? Only of how she gets idiots to pay her for fully clothed pictures. Let’s go to the match!
SINGLES MATCH
Dakota Bowman vs Jess Reed
{ The lights in the arena go out as "Die Young" by Ke$ha hits the PA system and the crowd go nuts. Strobe lighting begins to flash in various colours around the arena as Jessica Reed emerges from behind the curtain to a standing ovation. She smile and waves to the fans before steadying herself for a gentle sprint to the ring, slapping the hands of fans as she goes much to their delight. Reaching the ring steps she climbs up to the top of the turnbuckle and continues to wave the crowd, pumping them up even more before hopping down into the ring. }
{ The arena goes dark Before the roar of the great Gojira pierces the arena and “Godzilla” hits the P.A And out comes stomping The hooded figure of Dakota. Briefly lifting her hood to peek at the crowd before marching down to the ring. Stomping along the apron after climbing the stairs and climbing one Turn buckle form the outside whipping the hood back to Roar to the ceiling, before climbing herself over Marching to the middle of the ring and doing it again. }
Laura Howlett: Jess Reed has been stacking up the wins but this comic book bimbo hasn’t been able to win any gold in years, what do the marks see in her anyway?
Keybo Shabaz: Someone to aspire to be like with her goodness?
Laura Howlett: Someone to aspire to be like! Piss off Keybo! I hope Dakota Megalon kicks her head off!
{ The match started off abruptly with Jess looking to use her speed to gain an early advantage but Dakota caught her out of the gate with a Damn Spinebuster! Dakota immediately pulled the hall of famer up off the mat and launched her across the ring with a nasty overhead belly to belly suplex! Jess retreated to the apron but Dakote wasn’t look to lose the advantage she gained over the former Women’s World Champion but as Dakota reached the ropes, Jess socked her with a leaping elbow strike! Jess would then launch herself back into the ring with a flying forearm strike and bring Dakote down into a pin attempt but Bowman kicked out at one! Jess pulled Bowman up to her feet but the power fighter quickly retaliated with a big time Samoan drop. Dakota would make a cover of her own here but it was only good for two. Dakota pulled Reed up off the mat and launched her into the corner of the ring. Bowman would connect with her vicious Megalon Kick Rush and then drag Jess back to the center of the ring for another cover attempt. Jess was able to get her shoulder up at two. Dakota pulled Jess up off the mat but Reed connected with a jawbreaker. With Dakota backing up for the moment, Jess leapt to her feet and hit the ropes with a spring board rana on Bowman. Dakota tried to find her feet as quickly as she could but Reed came in with a head scissors take down. Bowman was up once again but Reed was right there with the Duck Faced DDT and a cover attempt but it only got her two. Reed pulled Bowman up but Dakota came back to life with a Tail Whip! With Jess rocked, Dakota connected with You Will (not) Advance! Dakota went for another cover here but again it was only for two. Dakota pulled Jess up with her then lifted up into position for the Gojira Bomb but Jess managed to use her weight against Dakota and pull Bowman into a sunset pin attempt. Bowman kicked right out at two. Both women got back to their feet. Dakota swung with an elbow smash but Jess got under it and grabbed Dakota quickly lifting her up into position and bringing her down with the LOLidrop! Jess made the cover for the win at eight minutes and fifty three seconds! }
Laura Howlett: Just like every subscriber on her Only Fans, Jess Reed has managed to disappoint me again.
Keybo Shabaz: By winning a hard fought contest against a battle tested opponent?
Laura Howlett: Correct.
Keybo Shabaz: So Kakota Bowman going toe to toe with a hall of fame wrestler and nearly winning isn’t good enough?
Laura Howlett: I don’t think it’s so much to ask to see Jess Reed get decapitated.
Keybo Shabaz: Ok then, how about we just take it to the World Television champion?
Laura Howlett: Sounds good to me.
SEGMENT
Who came out of Bloody Assizes as the World Television Champion?
{We move backstage to a close up shot of the IWF World Television Championship.}
"And still…"
{The camera zooms out to show JC Keeton dressed in his ring gear with the title over his standing in front of an IWF backdrop.}
JC Keeton: At Bloody Assizes I had to dig deep to overcome a version of Nick Danger that no one in IWF had ever seen before. He put on the performance of his career but it still wasn't enough. His strategy was one that no one had ever tried against me and it damn near worked but I was able to adapt and evolve in front of a live crowd in the main event of an IWF Pay Per View. I remained composed and calculated and I got the job done in the end and I left with my title. Hat's off to Nick though for giving me a fight that I didn't expect. A lot of folks sat in the back watching that match thinking Danger just printed up the blueprints on how to beat me well to that I say- I dare you to try. I welcome any and all challengers though.
{He takes a deep breath and smiles.}
JC Keeton: It's gratifying to be able to say I defended my title. I already felt like a champion because I beat one of the best this business has to offer in order to call myself a champion to begin with but being able to successfully defend it just solidified that fact. I don't know when I'll defend this belt again because of Heir to the Throne but if you think for a second that I'm more focused on that than I am this you'd be wrong. Would I welcome a chance to put the IWF World Championship on my other shoulder sure, but right now this…
{He pats the belt on his shoulder.}
JC Keeton: Is the title that matters around here. It's the one that has a proud champion who's on TV every single week winning matches. I'll gladly take the one Warren Kane is sitting on not doing a damn thing with but if I come out of Heir to the Throne as the winner and I'm forced to choose between relinquishing this belt in order to fight for that one well that choice is easy.
{He walks out of the scene and we head back to Laura and Keybo. }
Laura Howlett: I'm not going to lie, I want to see Keeton and Kane, title vs title.
Keybo Shabaz: That would be amazing.
Laura Howlett: Too bad JC will probably burn out again, it is the Keeton way.
Keybo Shabaz: Oh come on, Laura!
Laura Howlett: Hey, I'm just siding with history but I'll happily be proved wrong. Let's head to the next match to find out!
HEIR TO THE THRONE
SINGLES MATCH
Nick Knight vs JC Keeton
{The beat to "Born Legendary" by Emanuel Vo Williams hits.}
I crawled out the gutter
I rose to the top
My reign everlasting
I can’t be stopped
I was made for the throne
Rise up til I moan
You been waiting on a ruler
Well I’m home
{As soon as he says the word "Home" pyro explodes from the rampway as JC Keeton steps through the curtain. He makes his way to the ring bouncing in rhythm to the music. When he reaches the ring he leaps up onto the apron and steps through the ropes, He continues to sway and bounce from heel to heel as he awaits the match to start.}
{Personal Jesus by Lollipop Lust Kill begins to play as red lights begin to flash slowly before lights come up on the stage. As the music swells, dim light begins to come up on the stage, now shrouded with smoke as three silhouettes fade into view.As the guitar kicks in hard, the lights flash onto the stage revealing the members of The Church of Crosse. Lucipher raises his arms as if welcoming the audience as Nick Knight and 'The First Apostle' walk towards the ring.}
Keybo Shabaz: You don’t really think JC is going to burn out, do you?
Laura Howlett: I think of the men in the ring who have been actually lit on fire when compared to the one who just loses interest after a few months, my money is on Nick Knight.
Keybo Shabaz: While I see how you came to that opinion, we are seeing a very different JC than the last couple of times he’s been in IWF.
Laura Howlett: Oh, I don’t disagree. JC has been on fire since he returned to IWF, absolutely. But again, based on his history, it’s hard for me to get emotionally invested in him. It’s like that Black Widow movie, I already know how it ends, Mohawk guy kills her for a rock.
Keybo Shabaz: I don’t think you’ve watched Endgame.
Laura Howlett: I read the wiki.
Keybo Shabaz: It doesn’t do it justice. At all.
Laura Howlett: And I don’t care because unlike you I’ve had several sexual relationships. Look, again, I’m happy for JC to prove me wrong and win Heir to the Throne and do something his father never could.
Keybo Shabaz: What’s that?
Laura Howlett: Be a World Champion in a promotion with a larger audience than the lower east side of the fictional Fargo, North Dakota.
Keybo Shabaz: This discussion is pointless, I’m throwing to the match!
{ The match kicked off with both men circling each other. JC is eyeing up Knight and vice versa. Eventually JC moves in for a tie up but Nick hits a big knee lift and a quick pump handle slam! JC rolls away but Knight moves in after him but Keeton grabs him as he bends and rolls Knight up but Nick kicks right out. Both men get to their feet quickly but JC hits a tornado kick followed right up with a spinning upper cut that sends Knight bouncing off the ropes. On the rebound, JC hits a jumping knee strike and follows it up with a half and half suplex! JC goes in for the cover but Nick kicks out before even a one count. JC tries to pull Nick up but Knight hits a nasty headbutt to Keeton! Nick then moves in with heavy palm strikes across the chest of JC Keeton and backs him into the corner. Knight continues to unload palm strikes to the chest before barreling in with a huge knee lift that takes JC off his feet for a moment. Knight grabs JC for a wrist clutch exploder out of the corner! Keeton tries to roll back up to his feet but Knight is right there with a running boot to the face of JC! Nick pulls JC up off his feet as opposed to going for a pinfall attempt and goes to heave him across the ring with a T-Bone suplex but JC lands on his feet and leaps right up with a Poison Rana! Jc scrambles for a cover but Nick is able to kick out at one. JC gets to his feet and heads to the ropes for a spring board cutter on Knight just as Knight reaches his feet! JC goes for another cover attempt but again Knight is able to kick out at one again. JC gets up and Knight is right there too but JC hits a standing dropkick that sends Nick into the corner. JC nips up and hits a running dropkick in the corner. Knight drops to his backside and JC comes in with a basement dropkick in the corner! JC pulls Nick up to his feet and hits him with a tiger suplex! JC quickly runs to the top rope and comes off with a Double Foot Stomp to the chest! Keeton goes right in for a cover and gets a two count before Nick kicks out this time! JC pulls Knight up and Nick snaps back to life with a Welcome to Hollywood! Nick drags JC back up to his feet with and hits him with a Non Dairy Creamer! Nick Knight makes the cover but JC is able to kick out at two and 9/10s. Knight pulls JC up to his feet and hits him with another Welcome to Hollywood! Knight makes another cover, this time hooking both legs of JC Keeton but JC is just able to kick out with the referees hand millimeters from the mat. Knight peels JC up off the mat and looks to put the young Keeton away but JC comes back from the dead with a Kotaro Krusher! JC pushes himself up, he looks beat but he’s fired up. Nick is pushing himself back up and JC grabs him for a stalling brainbuster in the center of the ring. JC makes the cover and Nick just manages to kick out. Jc pulls Nick up. JC runs to the ropes to get some speed, JC leaps up looking for Ode to the Outlaw but Knight gets under it! Knight fires off a modified Welcome to Hollywood ala discus clothesline! Nick Knight makes the cover for the three count and the victory at twelve minutes at twenty six seconds! }
Keybo Shabaz: What an out standing contest!
Laura Howlett: It wasn’t bad, maybe that JC kid will prove me wrong.
Keybo Shabaz: I think hell just froze over.
Laura Howlett: Don’t mis understand me, he’s still the burn out son of a murderer.
Keybo Shabaz: It wasn’t Jake’s fault.
Laura Howlett: And neither was Nicole, OJ’s.
Keybo Shabaz: Can we just stick to the match?
Laura Howlett: Fine. Keeton and Knight went to war and in a perfect world we just saw the first encounter of two future main event and maybe even hall of fame talents.
Keybo Shabaz: Thank you.
Laura Howlett: Unless JC Keeton see’s something shiny or murders someone before then.
Keybo Shabaz: You know what? You’re a very unpleasant person.
Laura Howlett: Thank you. Now I’m told Tara Fenix has something to say about what went down at Bloody Assizes. Let’s head to the ring!
SEGMENT
Tara Fenix reacts to the Death Cage and that shocking return!
{A hush has fallen over the crowd, after they witnessed the match between Nick Knight and JC Keeton, as they await the next event. There came a sudden tapping; metal tapping metal. A spotlight is searching the arena for the source of the tapping, and before they have to search much longer, the familiar voice of Tara can be heard through the speakers.}
Tara: Well, well, well…
{Her voice echoed a few times, and the spotlight finally centered on the stage where Tara could be seen walking out from behind the curtains with the chair that Shelly struck her with at Bloody Assizes in her hand. She held the leg of the chair in her hand and tapped the head of it against the stage. Her eyes looked down at it, and with a smirk on her face, she shook her head…}
Vasco Dias: It was an interesting turn of events that transpired at Bloody Assizes, but Dean Harper prevailed over Wraith. Tara still showed her support for her son, but then we were surprised by Shelly! Back from the dead!
Terri Morasco: It was a huge surprise, but it made me feel really… bad… for Tara. Let’s go ahead and show the recap of what happened.
{When the cameras return to center on Tara, she has made her way into the ring. She has the chair still held, and the microphone in her other hand.}
Tara: Back from the dead, Shelly? I’m not going to waste too much of my breath on you, because the fact of the matter is that Angel-- is broken. You are… too late. Much like Dean Harper-- let me go ahead and speak further on that matter. Dean. My dear Dean. You should be proud of who you are-- what you’ve become-- what you’ve done. You’ve held every championship in the Imperial Wrestling Federation, you’ve done everything there is to do. You’ve CARRIED Angel into further success when it came time for him to hang up his boots… for the last time… And, well--
{Tara smirked. She couldn’t keep the light chuckle from coming out.}
Tara: My son and I-- helped him see that it was time. So you did what I didn’t think you could do… you did defeat my son, but it was just, like Shelly, too little, too late. You won the battle for a war that is already over. Angel is done. Angel is gone. Angel will NEVER come back! So… congratulations, Dean, on your win. But now it’s time that you leave the past behind because the past… is… done. It’s time to bury--
{A sudden interruption comes from the sound of “Envy” by Ice Nine Kills playing, and Shelly marches out onto the stage. Tara looks up toward her, unphased, unintimidated by her presence. When Shelly reaches the ramp, Tara suddenly raises her microphone.}
Tara: Cut her music! Cut it!
Shelly: Heh, nice.
{Shelly points at Tara, more toward the chair that is still in Tara’s hand.}
Shelly: Really Tara, you need a crutch for a dead woman?
{Tara looks at the chair for a moment, and pretends to ponder it.}
Tara: Come to think of it. No!
{Tara tosses the chair out of the ring, on the opposite end away from Shelly.}
Tara: So how about you get into the ring?
Vasco Dias: Are we going to see this? Tara’s going to kill Shelly-- again!
Terri Morasco: We may need to get security out to the ring, right now!
{Tara drops the microphone and backs away from the side closest to Shelly, allowing her safe passage into the ring. She leans forward with her hands on her knees, ready to start this fight, but just as Shelly is about to get into the ring--}
Jess Fowler: Stop! STOP!
{The voice of Jess Fowler rings throughout the speakers, as Jess steps out from behind the curtains.}
Jess Fowler: Neither one of you will lay so much as ONE FINGER on the other-- or you’re both--
{Both Tara and Shelly look at each other, then up at Jess Fowler and shrug.}
Jess Fowler: AND YOUR FAMILIES! ARE ALL FIRED! And you know what…
{Jess takes a step back.}
Jess Fowler: I’m not even going to call security. I’ve given you your warning…
{Both Tara and Shelly look again at each other and seem to be in quiet agreement that they will not lay a hand on the other… for now. Tara walks over to where she dropped her microphone and leans down to pick it up, and as she stands up, speaks into it.}
Tara: Fine, fine. We’re just-- we’re going to have some words.
{Tara gestures to Jess.}
Tara: Is that okay with you?
Jess Fowler: That’s absolutely fine.
Tara: Perfect.
{Tara said with a smile, and a nod.}
Tara: Alright, darling. Come in! I don’t bite! Well, I do, but-- not important.
{Shelly steps between the ropes and gives a sneer toward Tara, who just stands perfectly still as Shelly closes the distance. Jess Fowler looks a little uneasy standing on the stage, but doesn’t move; a slight twitch indicating the desire to prevent these two from swinging.}
Tara: Care to explain--
Shelly: You don't deserve an explanation!
Tara: When you went with Ale-
Shelly: Don't you dare say that name!
Tara: You were already over when Angel and I got together.
Shelly: This isn't about that.
Tara: Then what is it about!?
Shelly: What is this about!? Why did I return when the world thought I was dead!? The answer is so GODDAMN simple but I don't think someone so lost in their own grandeur would understand it.
Tara: Then use small words for the fans.
Shelly: Angel, as horrible as he was... Became something. He made something... Unlike you? He moved on from his past! And here the great Tara Fenix is, still focused on something that happened damn near a decade ago! Hell bent on tearing down a man and his family because you simply can't let go of the past.
Tara: I wanted my son! You, a battered EX-wife returns to defend her long lost love!? How pathetic!
Shelly: NO! I'm here to stop you from adding another family to your hit list. Even if some of it is your own.
{ Shelly drops her microphone as Tara simply sneers at her. }
Tara: So you're the She-Savior!? Sorry, Danger has that gimmick trademarked. You want to save something!? Save yourself. We've already killed god. His bitch of an ex-wife is nothing. Especially when she's already dead.
{ Tara and Shelly get nose to nose but Jess Fowler is right there to keep them apart. Tara drops her own microphone now as the two continue to talk at each other, their words stumbling over each other to the point that the cameras cannot make it out. Eventually Fowler gets them both to back down but neither looks away from the other as they exit the ring and we head to a break. }
TAG TEAM MATCH
Eternity and Rowan vs Cals Jacobsen and Amber Cooke
{Lights out. The thrumming opening of “Trip the Darkness” by Lacuna Coil pulses through the arena, matched by a few flashing sparks of dark red light throughout the building. Red lights shine down and around the entranceway, still accompanied by sporadic flashing throughout the arena, illuminating the sihlouette of Rowan MacDonnough standing at the top of the ramp, a pair of chains hanging from her wrists. She breathes heavily, shoulders heaving as her head hangs down. As the opening continues, red smoke floods down the ramp as Rowan occasionally twitches spasmodically in rhythm with the music...}
"Come to me, come to me... I am waiting for you. Come to me... I can't wait..."
{As the song roars to life, Rowan's head snaps upwards, glaring around at the audience as her golden eyes glint in the smoke and the red light. The stage and ramp are lit by swirling red light, but everything else remains dark. She lopes forward, unconsciously rolling her wrists as her eyes bore a hole in the air before her. The smoke seems to follow her down the ramp as she walks. She drops the chains as she reaches ringside, climbing up the ropes and perching over the ring on the top corner, standing slowly as she continues to twitch and spasm in time with the music.}
"Follow me, follow me! As I trip the Darkness... one more time!"
{She leaps into the ring, landing with a roll in the center of the ring and pulling into a feral crouch. She stands, raising her arms as though conducting a savage chorus, posing one last time...}
"Follow me, follow me... I awake from madness.... JUST IN TIME!"
{She slowly, reluctantly backs towards a corner, eyes constantly moving as she settles in to wait for the bell.}
{ The lights go out completely.
Heeheeheeheeheeheeheehuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhehehehehehehehehehehehehahahahahahahahahahahahaahaahaahaahaahaahaahaahaahaahaahaa...
The soft chilling female laughter changes the atmosphere in the arena completely before the soft opening keys lead a procession of bright white starlights to twinkle in time with them. As more time passes, drums march alongside the keys. After a short while, the heavier instruments take over in leading the procession. Over a minute passes before the lyrics to “Death Incarnate” by Eleine begin to herald her arrival. The lights shift, as the stars are extinguished, replaced by sombre blue strobe lights, which provide just enough illumination for us to see the purple coloured smoke slowly gathering to cloud the entranceway.
Eternity emerges from within the cloud of colourful smoke. The Women’s World Championship hung from around her neck, a slackened but ornate noose. There is a mixed reaction from the adults, but the children seem to fear the shadowy woman who is wearing a white hat and veil over her face. Her head bowed, in remembrance of all those that have fallen before her as she seems to lightly bounce halfway down the ramp.
She stops in the middle of the ramp and takes a bow, taking her veiled white hat off and posing with it in her outstretched arms. She continues her journey down the ramp, skipping and carrying her hat in her right hand. She slides under the bottom rope into the ring and when she reaches the centre, she transitions into a skip, over to the turnbuckle where she hangs her hat on a ringpost, patting it.
She then skips to the middle of the ring, lifts the red and gold weight from around her neck and shoulders and falls to her knees, keeping her head bowed for a moment and her eyes closed. She tilts her head back, lifts the World up towards the sky in her right hand and slowly opens her eyes to the Heavens, mouthing “Gone But Never Forgotten.” This gesture now triggers the lights to slowly be raised back up to normal levels as her music starts also to fade away. }
{The guitars of "The World Is Yours" start up and the arena is bathed in lights for a minute before Amber comes stalking as the first main riff kicks in, walking at medium pace and pausing in the middle of the ramp, taking in the surroundings before she circles the ring with the occasional slam of the mat in time with the drums before hopping the ring apron and actually hyping the crowd up some and then jumping over the top rope to spin the centre of the ring and the find a corner as she disrobes }
{The echoing guitar intro of "Tears Don't Fall" sounds through the arena before a howl of "LET'S GOOOOOO!" brings Cals Jacobsen running out onto the stage, shoulder-rolling forward and coming up kneeling with their hands in horns and their tongue out, grinning ear to ear. They pop up to their feet, nodding and grinning wickedly as they walk down the ramp, fistbumping and high-fiving with fans. Climbing the ring steps, Cals hangs off the ringpost, nodding along to the music, and steps through the ropes, pacing in a circle before running to the ropes and leaping up onto the second rope, throwing their hood back and bellowing out to the fans. Cals detaches their hood, unfolding it and tossing it into the crowd before running the ropes, clearly psyched for their match.}
Keybo Shabaz: This is a stacked tag team match if I ever saw one!
Laura Howlett: I often wonder if you’re blind, to be honest.
Keybo Shabaz: What does that mean?
Laura Howlett: Your inability to say anything more in depth than what the viewer can see by reading a match card.
Keybo Shabaz: I wasn’t aware you were a sports analyst as well as a manager and television show host, by all means, offer us your insight.
Laura Howlett: Gladly. We’ve got two hall of famer wrestlers, two former Women’s World Champions facing off against two competitors who not only want to mentioned in the same breath as Eternity and Rowan but surpass them in every single way. We are about to witness the old guard defend their position against the young blood of IWF!
Keybo Shabaz: That was better than I anticipated.
Laura Howlett: And that is why I will never stop lobbying for you to be fired.
Keybo Shabaz: Let’s head to the match…
{ The contest kicked off with Cals and Eternity in the ring. Cals went for the tie up but Eternity quickly dipped behind them for a hammerlock suplex. Cals nipped right up and grabbed Eternity with a hip toss. Eternity came right back up and grabbed Cals for a swinging neckbreaker. Cals came right back up and caught Eternity with a snapmare. Eternity came up again but Cals hit a round house kick followed by a European upper cut followed by a snap suplex! Cals drug Eternity to their corner to tag in Amber. Cals held the arm of Eternity so Amber could grab it for an amrbreaker. Amber then pulled Eternity to the center of the ring to apply an arm bar but Rowan was there to break the submission. Amber brought Eternity up for a back breaker and then laid in a half dozen elbow strikes to the jaw and upper torso of Eternity. Amber then brought Eternity to her feet again but the former world champion snapped back to life with Tears of Sorrow. Amber got back to her feet as quickly as possible but Eternity was already up and grabbed Cooke with Dragon’s Breath. Eternity went for a cover but Cals broke up the attempt. Eternity drug Amber to her corner now to tag in Rowan. Rowan comes in with repeated knee strikes to the head of the downed Amber. Rowan peels Amber up off the mat and unloads rabid fire European upper cuts on Cooke in the corner. Rowan then connected with a spinning back elbow strike on Amber in the corner. Rowan then took Amber out of the corner with Burning Hatred! Rowan made the cover attempt but Cals was there to break it up. Rowan went back to Amber who rolled Rowan up quick but Rowan kicked right out. Both women got to their feet and Amber connected with an elbow strike followed by a European upper cut of her own! Amber then charged Rowan at full speed connecting with the Interceptor! Amber made another cover but Rowan kicked out at two. Amber brought Rowan up to her feet and hit her with the full force of the Blast Wave! Amber didn’t go for the cover this time, instead she pulled Rowan up and sent her to the corner. Amber tagged in Cals and they hit Rowan with Snapmare/Chest Kick combo. Cals then covered Rowan only for Eternity to make the save. Eternity grabbed Cals and attempted to drag them back to Eternity’s corner but Cals broke free. Cals got back to their feet and Rowan was right there with Beast of War! Rowan tagged in Eternity then sprinted across the ring to club Amber off the apron. Eternity picked up Cals and hit The Last Rites for the pin fall and the victory at seven minutes and thirty nine seconds! }
Laura Howlett: The Dark Triad picks up another big win over the young bloods of IWF!
Keybo Shabaz: I don’t like the way you call them young bloods. It reminds me of a podcast I watched once.
Laura Howlett: The watcher?
Keybo Shabaz: You know about the watcher!?
Laura Howlett: Who doesn’t!?
Keybo Shabaz: I didn’t peg you for a conspiracy person?
Laura Howlett: That’s because I’m not you middle aged virgin! I literally googled it just now. Jesus. Anyways, Cals and Amber looked really solid out there and you have to think they will be watching this match back come Heiress to the Throne.
Keybo Shabaz: Absolutely agree, Laura. Now let’s head to our main event of the evening! Roberto Verona makes his in ring return against Pax Stormcrow!
HEIR TO THE THRONE
SINGLES MATCH
Roberto Verona vs Pax Stormcrow
{ The lights in the arena dim, and there is the sound of a powerup collected in an old video game system. At the sound, the crowd leap to their feet with cheers A beat is laid out, filling the arena with the sounds of a Midi file. The lights pulse in time with the music. As they flash as the beat trembles, an explosion of sparks rocks the entrance stage. Pax walks out onto the stage, looking around as the crowd bursts into cheers. He gives a smirk as the chanting on Suplex by A Tribe Called Red kicks in.
He stands at the top of the ramp, lifting his right fist into the air with his head down, bobbing his hooded head along with the music before marching down to the ring. He slides into the ring and jumps onto the second turnbuckle, throwing his hood off and hyping up the crowd with yells before slipping his coat off and letting it fall to the ground. }
{ The lights in the arena all go out at "King of the World" by Porcelain and the Tramps begins to blare out of the PA system. Spotlights begin to scan the crowd before fixating on a figure at the top of the stage which is revealed to be Roberto Verona, his head bowed towards the floor. As cheers being to resonate around the arena Verona raises his head and he begins a slow methodical march down the ramp, the spotlight following him as golden pyro rains down from above on the stage. Verona stares with disgust at the crowd who cheer him as he approaches the ring, but he doesn't react to them. As he reaches the steps he slowly ascends them before walking towards the middle of the ring apron, turning around to look into the crowd one last time before looking up and closing his eyes as he stretches his arms out wide and basks in the adulation. After indulging himself Verona climbs into the ring, psyching himself up as he awaits the beginning of the match. }
Laura Howlett: So who you got here, Keybo?
Keybo Shabaz: Are you really asking me or is this a set up?
Laura Howlett: Answer the question and find out.
Keybo Shabaz: I think Pax and Roberto have similar styles and should pair off nicely in the ring but Roberto is stepping back into the ring for the first time in a year while Pax has worked his ring rust off.
Laura Howlett: So. Who. You. Got?
Keybo Shabaz: I think it’s a bit of a toss up. I’m sure Roberto has been working hard to get back into ring shape but there is nothing like an actual match.
Laura Howlett: I’m done with your pussy footing, Keybo! Pax is good, Roberto is better, simple as that.
Keybo Shabaz: Well at least you didn’t make fun of me, for once.
Laura Howlett: You fat imbecile.
Keybo Shabaz: The universe finds balance again, time for the match!
{ The match kicked off with Roberto and Pax tying up in the center of the ring. Both men jockey for position at first but Roberto makes the first move and dips behind Pax looking for a rear waist lock takedown. Pax spreads his legs and lowers his base to block the attempt. Pax then breaks free and swings behind Roberto grabbing him with a rear waist lock takedown and puts Roberto on the mat. Pax stands up and nodded his head as Roberto smirked before he pushed himself up. Roberto shook his arms out and then moved in for another tie up with Pax. Roberto then pressed forward and went for a side headlock but Pax quickly pushed out of it and grabbed Roberto with a rear chin lock. Roberto slipped out of it and went for the single leg take down but Pax blocked it and instead grabbed Roberto with an armdrag take down. Pax backed off again to allow Roberto to stand up. Robert and Pax circle each other a few times. Roberto invited Pax in for another tie up. Pax moved in but Roberto threw a thrust kick to the left leg of Pax which dropped him to one knee and Roberto followed it right up with a knee strike to the face! Pax was right on Robert with a snap dragon suplex! Roberto pushed himself up to his feet but PAx was right there with a side headlock takedown and then went for a cross face but Roberto slipped out. Roberto got to his feet and quickly grabbed Pax with a swinging neckbreaker as he stood! Roberto made a cover attempt again but Pax not only kicked out but repositioned his body to lock Roberto into a triangle choke! Roberto quickly scampered to the ropes to break the hold. Both men got back to their feet and started circling each other again. Pax moved in fast but Roberto ducked and went for a leg sweep but Pax blocked it and elbow strikes Roberto in the back of the head. Roberto stumbled forward and Pax came in fast with a dumping German suplex bridged into a pin but Roberto was able to kick out at two. Both men made their way back up to their feet. Roberto came in this time and went for a front face lock. Pax fought it, broke free and as Roberto turned, Pax grabbed him with a Saito suplex! Pax went for another cover and got two out of it before Roberto was able to kick out. Pax pulled Roberto up to his feet but Roberto unleashed a folly of punches on Stormcrow before grabbing him with a choke slam backbreaker! Roberto made a cover attempt but Pax kicked out at two. Roberto attempts to block the Peace Out, Pax fights back. Roberto manages to break loose and Pax comes in fast but Roberto fires off the Silencer then quickly picks Pax up for the Idea of March! Roberto makes the cover on Pax for the pinfall and the victory at ten minutes and thirty two seconds! }
Laura Howlett: Did that look like ring rust to you!?
Keybo Shabaz: I feel like I said it could go either way?
Laura Howlett: Because you’re a no ball having people pleaser!
Keybo Shabaz: That is objectively not true, however I will say that was a steller contest! Pax did his best and very nearly had the victory in hand-
Laura Howlett: But Roberto Verona was just the better man like I already said he was.
Keybo Shabaz: Roberto was on this night but I could see that changing in the future. Pax is a student of the game and he will correct any mistakes he made tonight in the future.
Laura Howlett: No ball having people pleaser. Thank you for joining us on the first ever Friday Night Sacrifice! I have been Laura Howlett hampered by a bulbous ball and chain minus the balls! We will see you next week!
{ We close on highlights of the night set to “Born for One Thing” by Gojira. }
