(OOC: Just having some fun with this, and tried to frame it in a way people could either play off of it for some laughs or pretend it never happened with the 'profile' being a fake. )
{ The scene opens in a hotel room where Portia and her friend Jenna, who is out visiting from home, are lounging on the hotel bed. Portia is playing on her phone while Jenna is painting her nails. }
Portia says to Jenna, "I'm so happy you came to visit this week. I haven't seen you since October, and the women I work with suck. They're all so boring and uptight."
Jenna says to Portia, "I was worried you were going to be in the hospital when I came to visit after last week. That Tara girl is fucking nuts."
"You mean the Queen," Portia says with a hard roll of her eyes as she looks up from her phone. "I'm not scared of her. If she so much as lays a hand on me, Stephen will break her little blue-haired ass in half. She's trash, anyway. No one would miss her but her mute son... and it's not like he's going to say anything about it. He'd probably just stand there with that stupid look on his face he always has."
Jenna laughs, adding: "Portia, that's terrible!"
Portia rolls over on her stomach, positioning herself next to Jenna on the edge of the bed so that Jenna can see her phone.
"Not my fault it's true," Portia says to Jenna. "But hey, look what I found!"
Jenna pulls the brush away from her toe, peering at Portia's phone. She inquisitively asks, "Who is that, and why are you looking at dating profiles?"
"This is the loser Stephen is set to face this week, Steve Awesome," Portia explains to her. "I wanted to see if I could find anything interesting on him online I could bury him with, and I ran across this old dating profile he had. It's funny in a pathetic type of way."
"It may not even be his, you know," Jenna says. "People try to catfish people all of the time on those sites. It could be some thirteen year old somewhere pretending to be him. Or it could be something he hasn't used in years."
"I know," Portia says with a wicked grin. "But let's have some fun and find out!"
"What are you going to do," Jenna asks.
"I'm going to make a fake profile and pretend to be one of the other girls at work, and send him a message," Portia says as her fingers dance along the keyboard.
Jenna bursts out in laughter. "That's mean, but I love it! Do you have any ideas?"
Portia stops for a moment and tells her, "I'd love to set one up for Rowan, but I am not messing with that. I don't think he'd buy it, anyway. But now Caroline Machado... that's too perfect. I'd love to see the awkwardness if he walked up to her and started hitting on her, and word is she might have a thing for Nick Danger. It'll be a trainwreck."
Jenna asks, "That's the Star Wars girl or whatever, right?"
"Yeah," Portia says.
"What are you going to write," Jenna asks her.
"How about this," Portia wonders aloud. She begins to talk as she types: "Steve, I've noticed you around since you came back, but I've been too shy to say anything to you because I was worried James and Fiona would be
Terrella steps out of the bathroom in nothing but jeans as Portia and Jenna both look at him. He wipes the last bit of water off his head from his shower with a towel, sensing something is going on. "Fuck, did I miss a spot shaving my head," Terrella asks the ladies.
"No, you're good, baby." Portia says to Stephen. "I'm just trying to catfish Steve Awesome."
Terrella throws the towel over his shoulder and rubs at his head, stating with a shrug: "That's fine, whatever. I'm going to kill that piece of shit Friday, anyway."
"Do you know any space movie references, baby," Portia asks Stephen.
"Fuck no," Terrella says. "You know I don't watch shit like that, babe. Why you ask me that?"
"She's pretending to be Caroline Machado," Jenna says to Stephen.
Stephen looks at Jenna, then at Portia, then Jenna again, then Portia. With a half-grin and shake of his head, he says to them both, "Fuck's sake, if that shit works out somehow... I'm blaming you both for the shit my ears are going to suffer through."
Portia smiles wickedly as she types the last few words on her phone and hits 'Send'.
Jenna asks Portia, "What did you say?"
Portia fights back a laugh, telling Jenna, "I wrote he could boldly go where no man has gone before."
The girls erupt in laughter as Terrella just shakes his head.
