The constant travel was part and parcel of her job as a road agent in the Imperial Wrestling Federation. Shea O’Hara had accepted that a while ago, what she could still not accept however was just how lonely it all was, especially now her very best friend, Vivienne Rodgers was off the road and expecting. Chances were only somebody else in her business would understand and be willing to date around her lifestyle, but it wasn’t as if the IWF locker room was brimming over with healthy and well adjusted prospects.
So, against her better judgment and at the behest of little sister, Moira, it had come to this. Perusing free dating websites, apparently Moira was something of an expert at finding free love matching websites, so much so it had become something of a hobby between her classes at the Performance Centre. Apparently, until she made the main roster, Moira didn’t have the money for many other options.
Shea clicked the link for a site called: SinglesMatch.com, Moira had sent her over Facebook Messenger yesterday, and balked almost immediately at the tag line after the page loaded.
“Find Somebody Who Loves You As Much As You Love ProWrestling.”
A series of New Member and Most Popular profiles were then spotlighted on the site’s homepage. Most of these profiles were unassuming people in IWF shirts, posing as their favourite superstars, with less than creative nicknames like RingRat87 and HardcoreLoverXxx. But two in particular caught Shea’s eye.
In New Members, there was a profile with Caroline Machado’s picture, it looked like it had been taken from a ring inside the Performance Centre.

In Most Popular was a profile with Steve Awesome’s not terribly recent looking picture.

Shea rolled her eyes, they were likely scam profiles, but it wouldn’t surprise Shea at all if at least the Steve Awesome one was real. He looked like exactly the kind of douchebag who belonged on these sites, with all the other shirtless selfie morons. She instantly closed the window and brought up Messenger to fire off a quick message to her dear sweet sister whose fault this all was.
Nope. I have standards & am not that desperate, tyvm! 😜
If nothing else, this had at least given Shea a new perspective on her loneliness and need to date. If this was the best internet dating had to offer, she hadn’t yet reached the point of desperation where it felt necessary to seriously consider it.
