------------------------------------- HOUR ONE -------------------------------------
{ The show opener for Friday Night Sacrifice plays to the theme of Born for One Thing by Gojira showing clips of all the current champions as well as some of the biggest stars in IWF currently. After the open plays we head to the studio where Laura Howlett stands with Keybo Shabaz. }
Laura Howlett: Welcome everyone to another edition of Friday Night Sacrifice! I'm your host, Laura "Drop Dead Sexy" Howlett and besides me is Keybo "Is my life worth living" Shabaz!
Keybo Shabaz: I see #Vince has gotten to you too?
Laura Howlett: I'm just following the latest mandates, Keybo!
Keybo Shabaz: Wonderful.
Laura Howlett: We have an incredible show for you tonight! Kate Steele takes on Dawn Halliwell! Rob Diamond teams up with Team Diversity Hire in six person tag team action! James Gilmore goes to battle with his own tag team partner, Nick Danger and for love of god I hope they kill each other out there, for real!
Keybo Shabaz: LAURA!
Laura Howlett: I'm just being honest.
Keybo Shabaz: Well I hope that does not happen. We also have the debut of Jason Williams, a man some of our fans may be very familiar with! We will also see Wraith and Caleb Lockwood in action tonight and in our main event it will be Dean Harper and Warren Kane battling the reigning World Television Champion and Men's World Champion, Pax Stormcrow and Ulf Hednir in tag team action!
Laura Howlett: But let's not waste anymore time as our first match is about to begin! Kate Steele fresh off killing her near winning streak looks to get the ball rolling again against Dawn Halliwell! Good freaking luck with that.
------------------------------------- SINGLES MATCH Dawn Halliwell vs Kate Steel -------------------------------------
{ Diamond and the Gem Stones begins to blare all across the sound system and as it does we are able to see the likes of the Gem Stones playing on a tron. Ruby, Emerald, and Sapphire are all playing various instruments as we are able to see Diamond Steele emerging from the curtain with a microphone in her hand. She sings as loudly as she can to the sound of roaring cheers. Kate smirks as she just sings loudly which results in even more cheers. Diamond finally makes it to the ring and she quickly runs up the ring steps as she grabs the turnbuckle as hard as she can. She immediately leap frogs over the ropes and bounces about before she points at the crowd who cheers louder than before. She waves at them off as she throws the microphone to the side. She smirks as she opens up a pocket mirror and takes a moment to admire how beautiful her hair is as she waits for the match to begin. }
{ Lights dim as the opening riffs to Shoot to Thrill hit, and flashes of white light begin to pulse along with the music as it picks up pace. The stage fills with dry ice as Dawn steps out from backstage, smiling manically and rocking out to the music. She points to the crowd and tries to get them pumped up. When the chorus hits, she raises her fists in the air as she lets out a shout of excitement punctuated by a blast of simple white pyro around her. She holds that pose until the second iteration of "Shoot to Thrill" in the chorus, at which point she charges into the ring and slides in, spinning with the momentum to her feet as she urges the crowd to get to their feet and rock along with her. After a few moments she will settle into her corner. }
Laura Howlett: What's your over/under on this lasting longer than five minutes?
Keybo Shabaz: Are you kidding me?
Laura Howlett: You're right, three minutes?
Keybo Shabaz: I think you should try hard to be more impartial and supportive of our roster.
Laura Howlett: I'd rather be realistic, that way I won't be let down when Kate goes belly up. Again.
Keybo Shabaz: I think Kate will surprise you.
{ The match kicks off with Dawn just drilling Kate with a knee strike in the corner. Dawn then unleashes several MMA style knee strikes before just chucking Kate out of the corner with a snap suplex! Kate attempts to get up but Dawn is right on her with Lacrymosa! Dawn pulls Kate up to her feet and hits Ride the Lightning! Dawn then pops right up before hitting the Renegade! Kate seems to be out cold and Dawn takes the opportunity to lock in Living Dead Girl! Kate is unable to respond to the referee and Dawn wins the match by stoppage at two minutes and fifty six seconds! }
Laura Howlett: Good thing you didn't take that bet, Keybo.
Keybo Shabaz: Everyone has a bad day, Kate will bounce back.
Laura Howlett: I doubt it but hey, even... Nope, I refuse to give Kate Steele the benefit of the doubt. Keybo Shabaz: As expected. Dawn with an impressive victory and I'm sure that will move her up the rankings in the women's division.
Laura Howlett: Speaking of, Willy Carter is backstage with the IWF Women's World Champion who plans to respond to Tara Fenix from last week! Take it, Willy!
------------------------------------- SEGMENT Shelly Diamond responds to Tara Fenix -------------------------------------
{ We cut away from Keybo Shabaz and Laura Howlett to the backstage interview area where we find Willy Carter ready and waiting with IWF Womenās World Champion, Shelly Diamond. }
Willy Carter: Shelly, two weeks ago you laid down a challenge to former Womenās World Champion and arguably one of the greatest in ring competitors in the history of our business, Tara Fenix but it was The Demon Phoenix who responded and accepted. How does that make me feel?
{ Shelly smirks as she looks at Willy and then to the championship belt slung over her shoulder and then to the camera. }
Shelly Diamond: It makes me pretty goddamn good.
Willy Carter: Good? How could that possibly make you feel good?
Shelly Diamond: It makes me feel good because Tara Fenix doubts her own natural abilities so much that she needs to give in to the darkness inside of her. It makes me feel good because Tara Fenix saw that not even Lady Death could put me down for the three count. It makes me feel good because Tara Fenix knows on her own, just as herself, sheās not good enough to beat me.
{ Willy shakes his head a little dumbfounded. }
Willy Carter: I donāt think itās a good idea to test the nerve of the Demon.
Shelly Diamond: I think itās a great idea. I think itās the best goddamn idea Iāve ever had. I said the moment I returned to the IWF that I wanted to face the best. I did. I faced Eternity, who is inarguably the most successful professional wrestler in the history of this company. And I beat her. Now I want Tara. I earned Tara. Which is funny, Tara turning down my challenge when Iām the Womenās World Champion, youād think sheād want a piece of the best woman in the business at this moment, but she doesnāt. The Demon does. Thatās fine. If Tara is too afraid to fight me as herself then Iāll battle her evil alter ego. And Iāll win.
Willy Carter: She said name the time and the place, would you care to tell everyone?
{ Shelly takes the mic from Willy and steps into the center shot of the camera. }
Shelly Diamond: October 8th! Blue Cross Arena! Rochester, New York! The Demon Phoenix gets Extinguished!
{ Shelly drops the mic and walks out of the interview area as we head back to the studio with Keybo and Laura. }
Keybo Shabaz: Shelly Diamond named the time and place! This is going to be huge1
Laura Howlett: I donāt think it was the right call accepting the challenge of the Demon Phoenix but hey, itās her life.
Keybo Shabaz: Maybe not but Shelly Diamond didnāt become Womenās World Champion by backing down from insurmountable odds.
Laura Howlett: Very true. Now next up, weāve got a new comer making their debut against Warren Suffering!
Keybo Shabaz: Next up, the debut of Jason Williams!
------------------------------------- SINGLES MATCH Jason Williams vs Warren Suffering -------------------------------------
{ We return to Sacrifice with the limp noodle that is Warren Suffering already in the ring, decked out in his geekish sky-blue tights and single elbow-pad. He receives a pity pop upon his introduction, Alison Valance trying her best to give his presence some sort of gravitas. Suffering stands in awkward silence until Visions hits the PA System, drowning out everything with its high-tempo guitar strumming. }
Vasco Dias: And finally it's time, ladies and gents!
{ Jason steps out onto the stage, all-smiles as one of those precious moments plays out. It's been quite some time since he last felt this feeling, and for just a few seconds he does nothing but stand there in satisfied silence. The fans create a sense of electricity that hits Jason like a livewire, the adrenaline pumping through his veins is so great, a feeling like no other. Though, of course, he's never going to make that obvious: he's mastered the poker-face by now. }
Terri Morasco: Jason Williams, ahead of tonight, talked of how he's feeling good not just physically, but mentally. He's a veteran of over two decades but this will be the biggest stage he's ever wrestled on, no matter how experienced, there must be some butterflies there for sure!
{ Jason's moment of quiet contentment finally comes to an end as Mr Big bursts out onto the stage, waving his arms about and screaming at the top of his lungs. 'IT'S FRANCHISE TIME BABY', he roars. Eventually Jason begins on his way down to the ring, slapping hands with fans as he passes them on his way. Mr Big scurries beside him, hollering in his clients ear with various pieces of coaching advice. }
Vasco Dias: And of course a running story here will be how well can Jason and his manager get along? We've already seen some dysfunction between the two when it comes to their pressers.
Terri Morasco: These two have a lot of history Vasco, regardless of any disagreements over marketing strategy, I'm sure they'll be on the same page tonight!
{ Jason walks the ring apron for a few moments, blowing a kiss to the crowd. Mr Big lowers the middle rope, exchanging a nod with Jason as his client gladly enters the ring. Once inside Jason clasps his hands behind his back and stares at the hard-cam for a few seconds, before finally heading over to his corner. Referee Jess Andrews calls for the bell! }
{ The first act of the match is Jason offering a quick handshake, which Warren Suffering accepts. The pleasantries out of the way, the pair lock up and begin the contest proper. Jason very quickly gains the upper hand, taking control of Suffering's left arm with a stern wristlock. The opening stage of the match follows this trend of Suffering desperately trying to mount some sort of offence, only for Jason to twist and turn him with a painful piece of chain wrestling. }
{ Suffering eventually gives up on bothering with trying to out-wrestle Jason, electing to smack his opponent in the mouth instead. Jason is stunned, but it is but a brief reprive as he quicly fires back with a sharp kick to Warren's right knee. Warren goes for another punch but this time Jason is prepared; catching Warren's arm, twisting it inside out, and then hitting a jumping armbreaker that brings his opponent's limb crashing against his knees. }
Vasco Dias: Excellent counter by Jason!
{ Mr Big claps loudly and obnoxiously as Jason returns to his feet, wasting no time in continuing the attack with a penalty kick to Warren's back, earning a two-count. He continues to target Warren's left arm, stomping and contorting it to inflict further damage. Warren finally manages to get himself some breathing room after dodging Jason's attempt at a middle-rope forearm dive, quickly laying into 'The Franchise' with kicks and clubs. }
{ Unfortunately, Suffering doesn't get long in the sun. He sends Jason into the ropes with an Irish Whip that is countered with a sliding dropkick to the knee. Jason then rebounds off the ropes again, hitting the barely standing Warren with a flying knee to the gut. Warren crumples to a knee, clutching at his midsection. The second he manages to get back to his feet he's dropped with a spinning heel kick straight to the jaw! }
Terri Morasco: Seeing Stars!
{ Jason pumps his fists, it's time to finish this. }
{ He rushes over to the fallen Warren, rolling him over onto his stomach and taking a seat beside him: he applies the Fujiwara Armbar! Warren begins to scream in agony as the hold is sinched in, Jason wrenching hard on his aching left arm. Within seconds Warren taps out, Jason picks up the victory by submission! }
Vasco Dias: And Jason makes no mistake in his first match with the IWF! What a performance!
Terri Morasco: Jason dominated this pretty much from start to finish, but there will be bigger tests to come.
{ Mr Big joins Jason in the ring, pulling his client into a great big hug with literal tears in his eyes. Jason doesn't get too carried away with the celebrations, however, heading back over to check on his vanquished foe. He helps Warren to his feet and offers some words of encouragement, thanking him for the contest and offering another handshake, an offer that is taken before Warren leaves the ring. }
{ Back to celebrating, Jason takes to the centre of the ring, flashing a cool smile as Mr Big continues to bounce around the room in utter delirium. Jason bows to the fans as we fade away. }
------------------------------------- SEGMENT Clandestine Meeting -------------------------------------
{ The show cuts to a shot of Tara Fenix standing with Vendetta in a secluded parking area behind the arena. Based off the angle of the shot it can be deduced that the cameraperson is tucked down behind a row of cars, shooting around the back of a large catering truck. Their voices still carry on the night air from a distance, however. }
JessƩ: Last week was exactly what I was talking about. When I kicked Pax, I didn't get him as flush as I'd have liked- certainly not hard enough where the impact he had with the official would have knocked Blue Shoes clear to the outside. Whatever it was- or was supposed to be- it gave him the perfect excuse to miss our tag when we had the match in hand. That felt way too convenient.
{ Reinhart flings a bottle of water against the window of a nearby car. }
Travis: I have never seen a fucking official force someone out of the ring the way he did to me because he was knocked out! They always let it ride! It's not right! They're holding us down, and I'm getting damn tired of it!
{ Marchand extends his hand out flat, moving it in a downward motion in an attempt to calm his partner down. }
JessƩ: Travis, I'm pissed, too. We've got to keep a level head about this, though.
Travis: Level head!? J, it took about half a minute for Keeton and Verona to slide themselves into a Tag Title match after we lost! They've never even teamed before. I don't believe for a second that deal wasn't agreed to and shook on before we even lost. We're just being pushed farther and farther down the ladder. It's frustrating as hell.
{ JessƩ sighs, understanding the truth in what his partner is saying but also trying his hardest not to feed into it so that Travis doesn't do something rash. Marchand turns to Tara. }
JessƩ: What do you think, Tara? We can't well go in there and beat down Roberto Verona in his office, so what do we do here?
Tara: Right now... It's not the time to attack. We need to see to it that we have more people to rally to our cause. When we raise the banner, we need people to answer. Both of you are going to get your time. I'm going to see to it. But for now... we have to win the small battles.
{ Tara pat both members of Vendetta on their shoulders. }
Tara: Watch people close. See who we can connect with.
{ Marchand nods. }
JessƩ: Okay, thank you. Travis and I will keep our eyes open. The second hour is fast approaching though so we'll leave you to do what you need. That door is probably the shortest point in. We'll walk around the building and take the side entrance.
{ Tara nods as Vendetta steps aside for Tara, creating a path for her between them so that she can slip into the arena through a backdoor. Vendetta head due west and eventually disappear from view as they turn the exterior corner of the building. }
------------------------------------- SIX PERSON TAG TEAM MATCH Rob Diamond and TDH vs "Thirsty" Thurston Thrax, "The Big Beef" Sexton McLargehuge and "B.A" Braddock Bonez -------------------------------------
{ We come back to Laura Howlett and Keybo Shabaz in the studio }
Laura Howlett: I'm very interested to see what's next for Tara and Vendetta.
Keybo Shabaz: Nothing good I'm sure.
Laura Howlett: Something that is good is out next match! Rob Diamond and Team Diversity Hire taking on guys whose names I am not even going to pretend to remember!
Keybo Shabaz: These are some of our elite class in the performance center!
Laura Howlett: And I'm sure they will make The Wet Dream Team look great!
{ The Performance Center Crew make their entrance to whatever Bob Pooler's most popular entrance music was. }
{The opening hook of "Blood//Water - Grandson" blares from the PA as Nick Hunter and Nate Harris walk onto the ramp with Justine Harris with fairy wings and a crown on as she skips down the ramp slightly in front of them. On the 'Tron there is the TEAM DIVERSITY HIRE logo as well as showing links to instagram, youtube, spotify and their personal merch store. Their music suddenly cuts as the lights in the arena go dim but they do not go completely out. The crowd waits in anticipation when the opening riff of Bad to the Bone by George Thorogood hits. The entire arena screams out as one as the graphics on the screen show some of the many highlights of the career of Rob Diamond. The lights in the arena start to strobe pink as the second, third, fourth and fifth riffs all hit with pink pyro launching out of the stage and just as the lyrics kick in, Rob Diamond steps out to a huge ovation! The crowd is chanting "ROB! ROB! ROB!" as Diamond throws the X up over his head. Rob, Nate, Nick and Justine all hug at the top of the ramp before walking down together with arms over shoulders. Once at the bottom they split off to slap hands and fist bump with everyone ringside before Nick, Nate and Rob each climb up on a separate side of the ring. The three meet at the center, Nick and Nate cut a pose as Rob throws the X up over his head to rolling pyro behind them! When the pyro stops Nick and Nate hit two corners and Rob jumps up on the ropes between them to fire the crowd up. }
Laura Howlett: What an ovation for the Wet Dream Team!
Keybo Shabaz: This is the pairing I never knew I needed!
Laura Howlett: One hundred percent, Keybo! Let's get to the match!
{ Rob Diamond kicked things off with Braddock Bonez. Rob hit Braddock right from the bell with a Spear! Rob then drug Braddock back to his corner to tag in Nick. Rob pulls Braddock up into an underhook and Nick hits the Mardi Gras Blitz! Nick then tags in Nate. Rob and Nick feed Nate, Braddock for the STFU! The Performance Center Crew rushes the ring but Rob takes out Sexton with an Atomic Drop! Nick catches Thurston with Young Money Maker! The three turn their attention back to Braddock. Nick and Nate grab Braddock for a Samoan drop (Nick)/corkscrew neckbreaker (Nate) combo and Rob follows it up with a Five Knuckle Shuffle! Rob goes to the apron so Nate can tag him in. Rob then tags in Nick. They all pull Braddock up. Nick and Nate hit a duel Superkick and Braddock is launched into the waiting arms of Rob Diamond for a Diamond Cutter! Sexton and Thurston come back in. Nick takes Sexton down with Who Dat Driver! Nate grabs Thurston with Revision! Nick pulls up Braddock and grabs him for the release German Suplex into Rob and Nate who hit a Double Cutter! The modified #Decolonize!!!! Nick makes the cover for the three count and the victory at five minutes and fifty one seconds!!! }
Laura Howlett: I need to see more of this pairing!
Keybo Shabaz: That was awesome! I'm all in on the Wet Dream Team!
Laura Howlett: And a great name.
Keybo Shabaz: Aptly named too.
Laura Howlett: What?
Keybo Shabaz: What?
Laura Howlett: Let's move on to the low point of our evening. James Gilmore wants to slap around his tag team partner.
Keybo Shabaz: I think there is more to it than that.
Laura Howlett: I think you put more thought into the actions of James Gilmore than James Gilmore does.
Keybo Shabaz: That didn't feel like an insult directed at me...
Laura Howlett: For once, it wasn't. Let's head to the match!
------------------------------------- SEGMENT Show Me. -------------------------------------
{ We find James Gilmore sitting inside an empty office, taking a deep breath before the match with Nick Danger. He takes a sip from a bottle of Lipton green tea, an aura of great trepidation settling into his mind. All JJ wanted to do, more than anything else, was to pass on what he learned about wrestling to someone else, but even he began to question...did he make the right choice? Or was something missing? The meditation period ended as Nick peeked his head into the open doorway. }
James Gilmore: You rangā¦?
{ Nick Danger steps inside the office and take a seat in front of James Gilmore then see speaks. }
Nick Danger: Iāve been thinking about something that has been bothering me for a while now. Itās something I need to talk to you about.
{ JJ nodded. }
Nick Danger: I need to know something, did you have doubts about me joining Infamous Wrestling Academy? Because if so, why keep me around knowing you made a mistake?
{ The Islander alum was, for the most part, gentle about the line of questionig. Yet as he took another sip from his favorite drinkā¦ }
James Gilmore: Look, I said this on-camera the other day, so hereās the short-short version.
{ JJ paused. }
James Gilmore: Aside from my own kids, youāre the closest thing to a second son Iāll ever have in my life. But ya gotta start learninā to believe in yourself and understandinā what it truly means to get back up after youāve gotten knocked down.
{ JJ took a deep breath. }
James Gilmore: This aināt easy, it wasnāt meant to be easy. Thatās why we go through these grinds sometimes. I wish I fiured things out a lāil earlier than when I did, but...beinā a bigger man means knowinā that you aināt gonna win all the time. How you respond to these setbacks...well, thatās your choice and yours alone.
Nick Danger: I get back up and keep moving forward until Iāve reached the freakin mountain top. I do want to face you in an Ironman match. Because I want to face the very best the IWF has to offer. Yesā¦I have fallen down multiple times than I can remember and I am still here doing something that I love since I was a child. I want our match to be legendary and to show you. Everything you taught is not a waste of teaching and you are not making the wrong mistakes. So, in are match tonight may the best man win.
{ Nick Danger extends his hand to James Gilmore looking for a handshake
. As JJ returns the gesture, he leaves the room and delivers one final message. }
James Gilmore: Show me, then...donāt tell. See ya out there.
------------------------------------- SINGLES MATCH James Gilmore vs Nick Danger -------------------------------------
{ Mountain by Three Days Grace comes on the speaker and Nick Danger walks out to the entrance ramp wearing Red and White wrestling attire and his leather jacket says Savior. He stands on the entrance ramp hyping the whole crowd to chant his name and starts walking down the ramp while giving fans high fives. He walks up the steel steps and goes through the middle rope to stand near the center of the ring for a moment then takes off his leather jacket and then throws both of them to the crowd then stands at the corner turnbuckle ready for the match to start. }
Vasco Dias: This is where the Rising Dragons come apart.
Terri Morasco: A lot of teams got better by settling their differences in the ring.
{ An instrumental with hook version of "Shell Shocked" by Juicy J, featuring Wiz Khalifa and Ty Dolla $ign, begins to play, and a video package begins to play stock footage of waves crashing, followed by bolts of cloud-to-cloud lightning. }
"Knock, knock, you about to get shell shocked Knock, knock, you about to get shell shocked Knock, knock, you about to get shell shocked Knock, knock, you about to get shell shocked..."
{ As jets of water shoot out from all directions, we tsee James Gilmore stepping out onto the stage, posing along to the hip-hop tune, before high-fiving the crowd and walking down to the ring. }
"(All for one when we fight together) Knock, knock, you about to get shell shocked (All for one when we ride together) Knock, knock, you about to get shell shocked (All for one when we fight together) Knock, knock, you about to get shell shocked (This family can bear any weather) Knock, knock, you about to get shell shocked..."
{ Once inside the ring, the Islander alum points heavenward, taking in the moments as he waits for his opponent. }
Terri Morasco: Somehow, someway...you gotta believe that JJās gonna get through to Nick at this point!
Vasco Dias: This aināt the 1980s, Terri. Old-school tactics donāt work in the 21st century!
Terri Morasco: Only in your woke mind, Vascoā¦
[DING!]
{ In what was a slight preview of the upcoming 30-minute Iron Man match set for the following week, JJ and Nick battled it out for a good ten minutes. Neither man was able to gain an advantage early on as they sized each other up. Nick got the chance to show off his progress in the ring by surprising the Islander alum with a high crossbody from the top strand after a dropkick and a trio of swift suplexes, only to get a two-cout. JJ decided to pace himself, keeping Nick grounded with a variety of wear-down holds and maneuvers. Eventually, he caught Danger off-guard with a scopp slam, running legdrop, and a missile dropkick from the third rope that got him a count of two from Blue Shoes. Nickās risk-taking did him in, however, as Gilmore managed to counter Dangerās Red Eye DDT into the Power Wave backshoot lariat! Nick Danger is too late to react as James Gilmore sends him head over heels with the SHELLSHOCKER reverse hurracanrana and scored the three-count! }
------------------------------------- HOUR TWO -------------------------------------
Summer Thompson: Good evening Guys, Gals, and nonbinary pals! We are excited to once again be here for the hour 2 of Friday night sacrifice recorded live, Thursday evening.
Ella Kelley: Why do you say that? Likeā¦. Does anyone need to know that?
Summer Thompson: Itās optics, Ella. We must be clear for Optics.
Ella Kelley: Thatā¦ That doesnāt make any sense!
------------------------------------- SEGMENT Nick Knight has a challenge -------------------------------------
{The arena lights go down and the glow of cell phones light up the stands. A deep voice speaks over the sound system, āMay God have mercy upon my enemies, because I wonāt.ā Strobes begin to flash in time to the gun fire like opening of Five Finger Death Punchās This Means War. Pyro erupts with the opening lyrics as the lights come up revealing the three men known as The Brotherhood.
All three men wearing matching purple track pants and The Brotherhood t-shirt. Slowly the trio make their way towards the ring, head on a swivel just waiting for an attack from members of The Church of Crosse. Once inside of the ring āThe Hollywood Butcherā takes a microphone as as the music fades he begins to speak.}
Nick Knight: Last week I made an offer to Johnny Somebody, which he accepted. So that very night after a late night feast of Skyline Chili we hopped on the red eye to L.A. I got him settled into the guest room and we both cashed out for a bit. Now Saturday is normally a day off for me, but I could see it in Johnnyās eyes that he didnāt want to take a day off . That look got me fired up, because I had seen that look so many times. That was the look I saw every time I looked in the mirror when I was getting started in this business.
An hour later we inside of the ring working, before my students even arrived. I had seen Johnny in the ring and I knew he was strong, but Jesus Christ heās like a pocket hercules. I outweigh him by sixty pounds and he had no problem lifting me up and dropping me on my ass. I knew that he was a pretty good striker, but I donāt think I have ever been chopped that hard in my entire career. My chest is still black and blue from over a week ago, and every one of my students hate me for making them take those chops.
{Nick chuckles.}
I saw, and felt, so many good things about Johnnyās game. He has all of the natural tools to be a great professional wrestler, except size. This is a big manās game, I know Iāve been taught that lesson many times in my career. That means that to be successful he has to be perfect in every single part of his game, and that is what we are working on back in xXx. Iāve got my buddy Mark, a form NCAA Division Three All-American, working with him to make sure his ground game in on point. I have the guys at Trauma MMA working to make sure that his strikes are even more lethal. Then when he gets done with all of that Iām climbing inside of the ring with him to teach him all the dirty little tricks that have helped me through the years.
Next week in New York you are going to get to see just how far Johnny has already come, because Iām making the open challenge to any tag team that has the balls to face us. We donāt care if itās Violent Tendencies, Team Diversity Higher, or scrubs off of the street; step up and we will knock you the fuck down.
{Nick spikes the microphone as the commercial for Open Fight Night begins to play.}
------------------------------------- SINGLES MATCH Wraith vs Johnny Somebody -------------------------------------
Summer Thompson: Next up we have a very important match!
Ella Kelley: A very important match? You think so?
Summer Thompson: Angel Blake or Dean Harper could interrupt. Thatād be important.
{somebody to love plays and Johnny Somebody runs out from the back slapping hands with the fans all the way up the aisle. He runs around the ring a few times before walking up the steps and stomping the apron a few times before entering the ring and shaking the ropes to hype the crowd.}
Summer Thompson: Look at Johnny. Having more fun than I ever could.
Ella Kelley: I donāt know if thatās true. Iāve been in a hotel room next to you and Uriel.
Summer Thompson: I-I-Iā¦. what?
Ella Kelley: You are not as quiet as you think you are
{The lights throughout the arena go out row, by row, by row, until the arena is shrouded in absolute darkness. The lights come on and Wraith is standing in the center of the ring ā in unison, the crowd letās out a heavy gasp. He tilts his head back and forth, eyeing the crowd, while waiting for the match to begin.}
Summer Thompson: Wraith looking great tonight. Heās been making some appearances on some other promotions but
Ella Kelley: Wraith looks great every night.
Summer Thompson: I will get the horny jail bat, Ella, I swear.
{Tara walks out onto the stage and waits for Wraith, clearly watching with a smile.}
Ella Kelley: And Tara is on the stage. Niiice.
Summer Thompson: You Bisexual disaster.
{The match goes hard but Wraith never lets up. He doesnāt hold back almost as if he is making an example of Johnny. Johnny does his best to keep on his feet but itās hard to keep things going against the front drop kicks and underhook suplexes that Wraith is throwing in his direction. Wraith his a Whisper In The Wind!}
Ella Kelley: Wooo!
{Wraith hits Johnny with a Whisper in the Wind for the pin 1, 2, 3!! Tara goes down to the ring, hugs her son and raises his arm high as his music plays.}
Ella Kelley: Go wraith! Go Tara!
Summer Thompson: You are so thirsty.
Ella Kelley: Let me live my life Summer.
{ Before Wraith and Tara make their exit the arena goes dark. The orchestra version of "Gateways" by Dimmu Borgir begins to play as the crowd goes crazy. The Imperitron comes to life with a vague outline of Angel's face paint. }
"You live on borrowed time..."
"Each second ticks closer to your last..."
"Soon..."
"You will suffer for your sins..."
"Wraith will know my WRATH!"
------------------------------------- SINGLES MATCH Caleb Lockwood vs El Grand Malo -------------------------------------
Summer Thompson: Here we have Joker in the Pack winner versus I think the current 24 hour champion? Is that still happening?
Ella Kelley: Only consistently the champion because he has nothing else to do.
Summer Thompson: Be nice.
Ella Kelley: No.
{The string and piano intro of "Look at Me" begins to play over the PA as the lights are doused, plunging the crowd into blackness. As the crowd buzzes, the drums kick in, bathing the stage and ramp in a red light, revealing Caleb Lockwood standing at the top of the stage, Joker in the Pack briefcase in hand. After a moment of taking the crowd in, letting the guitars fade in, he nods once, pressing his forehead to the briefcase. The lights begin to flash as the guitars pick up, erratically flickering on and off across the crowd, and as the vocals kick in, white light kicks in, flooding the arena and drowning out the red. Caleb stalks forward, briefcase swinging at his side like a hammer, and slides into the ring, pushing himself up to his feet with a paranoid side-to-side glance. Taking a moment to relax, he stalks to the corner, setting the briefcase down on the apron. Pressing his back to the turnbuckles, he slowly slides down to a seated position, head bouncing off of the buckles as he slumps down, arms hooking the second rope as he basks in the music, the sound of the crowd, and the calm before the storm.}
