-Johnny Gilmore opened the program by coming out and explaining his alliance with Mikhail Federov. Petey Plinko, via big screen, vowed to beat him in the World title tournament. Fiona McFly, serving as interim Commissioner until a replacement could be hired, confronted Gilmore on his actions, ordering him and Federov to team up with Liberty Lovelace against Plinko, Skye, and Kenny Konroe for later in the evening.
-RCW Co-Owner James Gilmore joined Donnie DeMuro at ringside for commentary. James had some strong words for his older brother, pointing out that their father always taught them to face challenges like men instead of hiding behind others. Throughout the program, James provided a unique insight into each wrestler’s particular moveset and, for the most part, remained impartial towards heroes or villains.

-This was the inaugural RCW program to air on MeTV as well as the inaugural wrestling event at the Dr. Pepper Sportatorium.
-The official theme song for Slammin' Saturday Nite is "Saturday Night's Alright (For Fighting)" by Elton John.
-Officially, the show started at 7:00 PM with Dallas-based band Emerald City performing the national anthem, followed by several non-televised matches. All RCW shows aired on MeTV are one hour live programs starting at 8:00 PM Central.
-James Gilmore did his best John Madden impression by showing off a perfectly-cooked terducken as well as a signature treat from the State Fair of Texas, fried Oreos.
-In Retro lingo, a Triads Tag Team Match is a six-person tag involving teams of three. On the same token, the Tetrads Tag match is an eight-person tag involving teams of four.
