Show Highlights
-Last week, RCW Slammin’ Saturday Nite paused the action to preview the RCW title tournaments. That didn’t stop James Gilmore from razzing his commentary partner Donnie DeMuro after the San Francisco 49ers lost the NFC Championship Game to the Los Angeles Rams. A brief segment was aired, showing Mr. DeMuro begrudgingly carrying in several cases of Real Sugar Dr. Pepper – Mr. Gilmore’s favorite drink. This week, as competition resumed, the two men wagered on the Super Bowl between the Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals – with the loser having to wear the hat and jersey of his opponent’s pick for the entirety of next week's show. James picked the Rams, Donnie picked the Bengals.
-The search for a new RCW Commissioner continued with Fiona McFly roving the streets of Ft. Worth during the annual Stock Show & Rodeo. Eventually, she “interviewed” the man who took over the Sportatorium during the first weekend of February – country music legend Garth Brooks!
-A final lottery draw was held to balance out the singles title tournament fields at five competitors each, with Tommy and Tomi Raines being placed in the Tag Team title tournament while Cammy Clickbait and Kenny Konroe move up to their respective World title competitions.
-Lizzie Yeoh, celebrating her 23rd birthday this week, thanked the RCW fanbase for their love and support after being involved in a serious car accident. As a gesture of kindness, RCW Interim Commissioner Fiona McFly helped Ms. Yeoh purchase a brand-new car from Dawkins Motors – a 2022 Ford Maverick.
