The scene opens on a shot of a vast, empty desert. Devoid of life, the sandy landscape cooks in the unforgiving sun. The bright blue sky is dotted with a few wispy white clouds, with the sun radiating against the serene background. The camera pans to a man looking akin to a cowboy. Blue jeans, flannel shirt, snake-skin boots, the works. The angle is such that his face is not shown. He holds up an acoustic guitar, beginning to strum a chord.
"Lemme tell you a story..."
He continues to pluck at the strings, a melody starting to form in his chords.
"There was once a man, driven by pride."
The camera jump cuts to a lively crowd, cheering and hollering in slow motion.
"He gave his all each and every time he was asked."
Another jump cut, this time to two black boots stepping through the desert.
"And he never gave up who he was along the way..."
The black boots halt as the camera pans up to a pike. A brown paper bag flaps in the breeze, two round holes cut out in the front.
"Because no one knew who he was."
The guitar chords end, letting the shot of the bag settle in silence. A mysterious man steps into the shot, with only his back shown. He grabs the bag off of the pike and holds it up to the sky. Finally, he puts it over his head, the paper making an audible crinkle. The scene lastly cuts to black, with one last guitar chord sounding as a send-off.
