------------------------------------ SEGMENT ------------------------------------
{Nick Knight is sitting shirtless on the edge of an old six sided ring. Sweat covers his brow as he sips from a bottle of water.}
I really had no desire to talk about my match for High Stakes anymore, but IWF management said that I have to or be fined. What the fuck am I supposed to say that hasnāt already been said a couple dozen times the past few weeks. Wraith and I have torn each other to shreds on Twitter much to the delight of the entire world. Honestly at the end of the day nothing has really changed because I still think heās a spoiled snot nosed punk that is only where he is because of nepotism, and he thinks Iām a broken down old man jealous of his success at such a young age.
{A smile comes onto Nickās face.}
This thing between us has twice now turned physical causing the marks to lose their minds. The first time Wraith got the best of me, I have no problem admitting that. Last week though I accepted his challenge of a submission match and left his laying in a pool of his own blood. I gave him a little taste of what he can expect next week in Houston as I kick his ass from one side of the Toyota Center to the other before finally choking him out.
Now my advice to all of you sitting at home is pretty damn simple; if you can buy tickets but āem, and if you canāt you better order the pay per view. High Stakes is going to be one of the most important shows in the history of IWF. You have the Roulette which is always huge with the chance to main even Night of the Immortals on the line. A Womenās World Championship match in the most competitive womenās division in all of wrestling, so thatās guaranteed to be a banger. Then you have Nick Knight versus Wraith for the biggest prize in all of professional wrestling and this match is fucking personal.
{Knight wipes his face off with a towel.}
Now if youāll excuse me I have training to get back to.
{The scene fades to black.}
------------------------------------ SINGLES MATCH Caroline Machado vs Diamond Steele ------------------------------------
Alison Valance: The following match is scheduled for one fall! Terri Morasco: This will be interesting to see how it plays out. Vasco Dias: You say that every week. Are you a robot? Have you been replaced by a robot? I have strick guidelines in my contract that I am not to work with a robot!
{Diamond and the Gem Stones begins to blare all across the sound system and as it does we are able to see the likes of the Gem Stones playing on a tron. Ruby, Emerald, and Sapphire are all playing various instruments as we are able to see Diamond Steele emerging from the curtain with a microphone in her hand. She sings as loudly as she can to the sound of roaring boos. Diamond smirks as she just sings loudly which results in even more cheers. Diamond finally makes it to the ring and she quickly runs up the ring steps as she grabs the turnbuckle as hard as she can. She immediately leap frogs over the ropes and bounces about before she points at the crowd who cheers louder than before. She waves at them off as she throws the microphone to the side. She smirks as she opens up a pocket mirror and takes a moment to admire how beautiful her hair is as she waits for the match to begin.}
"Her ongoing mission...to boldly go where no one has gone before..."
{ The voice of Sir Patrick Stewart echoes throughout the arena before Dua Lipa's "Levitating" begins to blare. A blast a pyro goes off as Caroline Machado heads out to the stage, dancing to the beat of the tune while sporting a brief, but warmhearted grin on her face. }
"(Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
I got you, moonlight, you're my starlight I need you, all night Come on, dance with me (I'm levitating) You, moonlight, you're my starlight I need you, all night Come on, dance with me (I'm levitating)"
{ The Brazilian shimmies and twirls down the ramp, often stopping to give some lucky fans a hug or two. Her motion is fluid as she makes her way down to the ring, again dancing to the beats. }
"You can fly away with me tonight You can fly away with me tonight Baby, let me take you for a ride (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) (I'm levitating) You can fly away with me tonight You can fly away with me tonight Baby, let me take you for a ride (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)..."
{ The lights fade out to a rotating green and yellow hue, with Caroline continuing to dance and pose for the cheering crowd. Eventually, the lights come back on as she gets into her MMA fighting position and waits for the match to start. }
Terri Morasco: Both Diamond and Caroline look ready to fight!
Vasco Dias: Morasco I need you to point out which of these pictures has a bridge in them.
{The bell rings and Caroline goes off like a rocket. She doesn't waste time letting the pop star get the rough end of this match. Caroline pins her for the win!}
Alison Valance: And your winner... Caroline Machado!
Terri Morasco: What a great match!
Vasco Dias: Damn it Morasco point out the bridges!
------------------------------------ SEGMENT------------------------------------ { We find James Gilmore smack dab in the middle of the famous Fort Worth Stockyards, standing outside a world-renowned barbecue restaurant. Country music, bulls and steers, and plenty of boot scootin' boogies were had as the Islander alum stands tall, surrounded by eager patrons wanting an autograph. }James Gilmore: THe Roulette, my favorite time of the year. It's every man for himself, where only one will get a shot at immortality. { JJ paused, taking a sip from a glass of Dr. Pepper. }James Gilmore: Thirty men, one goal. Think you're gonna achieve that goal?! Think you're gonna take your place on the biggest stage of 'em all?! I've only got two words for y'all... { JJ paused. }James Gilmore: EARN IT! { He cleared his throat before taking another sip. }James Gilmore: See y'all in Houston. { JJ nodded warmly before moving towards a nearby outdoor patio table. As he sat down, the crowd clamored for his autograph. He signed every book, every picture, and he enjoyed every second of it. }------------------------------------ SIX PERSON TAG TEAM MATCHAlex Blade, Jason Williams and Todd Williams vs Nick Danger, Mason Alexander Vanderbilt and Mr. Happy ------------------------------------ {Nick Danger and Alek Bronson are the two kicking things off at the sound of the bell: Alek is able to gain the edge over Nick Danger and battles him into his own teamās corner. The team of Jason, Todd, and Alek all take turns to keep the advantage in their favor and are doing a fair job at keeping Danger away from his own corner. Todd Williams is in the ring when Danger is able to connect with an elbow and a Pele Kick that gives Nick Danger just enough time to make the tag! He makes the tag to Mr. Happy who comes in as a bulldozer, and runs over Todd Williams before knocking the whole other team off of the opposite apron. He charges back to take Todd down a second time and back into his own corner, and makes the tag to MAV!
MAV is able to maintain the control over Todd Williams and connect with THE STUMP! MAV gets a near fall, but Alek Bronson makes the save at the last possible second. Alek takes a few extra seconds to soften MAV up until he is forced out of the ring but it was a successā¦he bought Todd Williams enough time to be able to make the tag to let Jason get in. Jason tried his best to fight against MAV, but MAV proved to be too much for him as MAV quickly regained the upper hand. MAV connects with a running bicycle kick that earns him another near fall, but Alek is able to make the save.
MAV takes Jason back to his own corner and makes the tag back to Nick Danger who takes the time to alternate a few shots against him, and then after a minute of offense, he makes the tag back to Mr. Happy. Jason is able to gain back some momentum here and make the hot tag to Alek Bronson who comes in with some heavy offense against Mr. Happy! Nick Danger tries to assist his partner, but is only met with a few shots that knocks him back.
Alek Bronson is able to hit Mr. Happy with GLAIVE to get the first near fall for his team, but MAV makes the save in what would have otherwise ended the match. Mr. Happy is able to get Nick Danger in, and the two battle back and forth with constant near fallsā¦Danger hits him with RED ERROR but Alek Bronson is able to keep moving and make a tag to Todd Williams.
Todd is back in the ring and manages to take Nick Danger down but ends up hitting him too close to the other side of the ring where MAV makes a blind tag; Nick Danger knows that it happened and baits Todd Williams before finally sliding out of the ringā¦Todd looks a little confused; outside of the ring, Nick Danger is kneeling down. MAV enters and is able to connect with THE MAVERICK against Todd!
His teammates are already charging into the ring, but Mr. Happy is there to intervene while Nick Danger is clinging to Alek Bronsonās ankle to prevent him from being able to go inā¦Mr. Happy takes Jason Williams down, and MAV is able to gain the pin fall victory over Todd Williams and secure the victory. }Winners at 12:37: Nick Danger, Mason Alexander Vanderbilt, and Mr. Happy! ------------------------------------ SEGMENT ------------------------------------
{The lights throughout the arena all dim down before ultimately shutting off. With the arena now enshrouded in darkness, a voice is heard over the PAā¦}
VOICE #1: And your NEW World Champion! The greatest of all time!
{The voice easily belongs to that of a child as he tried to imitate the ambience of a crowd cheering his name which is soon joined by the actual audience.}
VOICE #2: Sabin! Sabin, look at the camera.
{The second voice was more familiar and belonged to Tara Fenix, and the imagery fades in on the Imperitron unveiling a home video showing the young World Champion standing as no more than five-years-old at the time. He is dressed in pajamas with the XHF World Championship draped over his shoulder, and a smile on his face as he turns toward the camera being handled by Tara.}
SABIN: Yes, Mom?
TARA: What do you want to be when you grow up?
SABIN: I want to be the WORLD CHAMPION!
{He says while holding the belt up for the camera and then charges forward, and just as he does, the imagery fades back out. The image fades back in to show Sabin, still as a child although a couple years older than the first home video. He is standing at the top of a high dive overlooking a pool when he spots the camera; he gives a taunting gesture as if calling for a high risk maneuver before getting to the edge of the board and spinning around, committing to a perfect backflip before sinking into the water. The imagery fades, and returns yet again; this time he is inside of a training ringā¦he is giving a better resemblance more and more to the man that he would grow up to become. The camera was now being handled by someone else as it zooms in on Tara as she is lying on the mat next to Sabin and one of her other students in the Fenix Wrestling Academy.}
TARA: You need to adjust your hips, Sabin. Adjust your hips, and control his arm.
{Sabin continues following her instruction during the video while he appears to be getting a triangle choke locked in on the other student.}
TARA: Good, good. Now apply just a little bit of pressureā¦
{She is monitoring the entire situation to ensure that the student on the receiving end is not going to get injured by the training, while Sabin is beginning to master his own submission holds.}
TARA: Pull backā¦backā¦backā¦
{The other student taps when Sabin has it set in, with no possible chance for him to escape. Tara springs to her feet and pulls Sabin away from the hold to keep him from injuring him.}
TARA: Good, good. Just like thatā¦
{Taraās voice trails off as she was clearly continuing with her instruction when the imagery fades back out. The imagery returns now to show Sabin, now in his full getup as Wraith, in the center of the ring with Ducky locked into the Absolution. āYour winner!ā The voice echoes several times over while the image flashes several times showing his victories over the people that he had fought early on in his career. The screen goes black again. A new voice comes over the PA.}
DENZEL PORTER: Man! Nineteen-years-oldā¦
{The image fades back in to now unveil the reporter, Denzel Porter, sitting across from the now grown up Sabin. The ambience created from the arena diminishes but the voice of Denzel Porter amplifies. When the image comes back in, Denzel Porter is sitting on a couch opposite of Sabin āWraithā Spencer.}
DENZEL PORTER: Nineteen-years-old and you have already become the IWF Menās World Champion; however, we have been paying attention to some of the Twitter banter going on between you and Nick Knight in which he thinks that you have only earned your spot by the status of your motherā¦ What do you have to say about that?
SABIN: I have to say that it is ratherā¦frustrating. It is frustrating that people think that there are some people out there that do not believe that I actually earned my place and my position within the IWF, and that the only reason I am where I am is because my mother, Tara, and trulyā¦Nick Knight is the first and only person to make that suggestion. He is the first and only person that has made an attempt to dismiss everything that I have accomplished in the IWF in less than a year! It is insulting that he believes that.
{Sabin leans forward, pulling the belt closer to his waist.}
SABIN: The problem with Nick Knight is that he has not considered the alternativeā¦ You seeā¦ My mother was not too fond of the idea of me joining in the family business. She does not want to see me get hurt. She is protective. There was a day, though, that she accepted that she could not talk me out of my goalā¦out of what I decided I was going to be when I grew up: I was going to be a professional wrestler, and that was when she knew that all she could do was prepare me. She trained me harder than she trained the rest of her students; she expected more out of me than she expected out of the rest of her students, andā¦wellā¦
{He gestures toward the belt around his waist.}
SABIN: It paid off. But she did not win it for me; she did not do anything to get me in favor with anyoneā¦when I signed my contract it was under the surname of my father: SPENCER. So how did she get me to where I am?
DENZEL PORTER: That is a fair point.
{The imagery skips and cuts a few times.}
DENZEL PORTER: If there is one thing that you would like to say to Nick Knight, what would it be?
SABIN: I would tell Nick Knightā¦to prepare. Prepare for war, because that is what he is going to get when he gets into the ring with me. Prepare for war, because that is the only way that he is going to pry this belt away from me. Prepare for war, because you tried to erase the legacyā¦that Iā¦am creating for myself. This is not my motherās legacy; this is not my fatherās legacy; this is MINE. And you are just going to be a footnote in it.
{The cameras return to the ringside area.}
TERRI MORASCO: That was Denzel Porter sitting with Wraith, the current IWF Menās World Champion. The full interview will be made available in the following days in which he shares with Denzel his own personal history and how he went on to accomplish what he didā¦ Be sure you donāt miss it!
VASCO DIAS: Up next, we have Virginia Stepanov fighting Gabriela Luna!
------------------------------------ SINGLES MATCH Virginia Stepanov vs Gabrielle Luna ------------------------------------
{The lights in the arena start to flicker as the intro to āBitch Better Have My Moneyā hits the speakers. Smoke pours out onto the stage as Virginia Stepanov steps out. She walks to the head of the ramp, looking around for a moment before she shoots a high front kick into the air to show off and then makes a finger gun with three punctuated āshotsā towards the crowd ad the appropriate time in the song.
She struts down the ramp, mouth moving to sing along to her entrance as her head bobs along with the song. When she gets to the ring she jumps onto the apron, hanging onto the rope and leaning out towards the crowd, throwing a finger gun with another three shots before she steps through the ropes. She slips her coat off and hangs it in the corner.}
Terri Morasco: Virginia is in the ring and you can just see the intensity excruciating from her! She is out here tonight with a purpose.
Vasco Dias: A purpose is right. She is looking to send a message to both Tara and Shelly that whoever walks out tonight as the IWF Womenās World Championship, she is going to be ready for them.
{The relentless opening chords of "Vortex" by Los Savants crash out as Gabriela Luna dashes out onto the stage, throwing her fist into the air to the cheers of the crowd. She shouts at the crowd, beckoning them on with her hands, and grins widely at them before turning and charging down the ramp. Gabriela leaps and slides feet-first under the bottom rope, rolling to her feet and coming up with a defiant shout of joy. She runs over to the nearest empty corner, leaping up onto the second turnbuckle and further beckoning the crowd on before hopping down into a crouch and waiting for the match to start.}
Vasco Dias: And hereās Gabriela Luna looking to get some momentum and a win over Virginia tonight is just what she needs.
Terri Morasco: She has been an absolute mystery with her training, though, so I donāt know. Is she ready for this?
{Gabriela looks to start things off early but is met with a stiff clothesline from Virginia that knocks her to the canvas! The challenger for Shelly Diamondās IWF Womenās World Championship at High Stakes would quickly go on the offense by using her skill in MMA to control the matchā¦she controlled it with ground and pound that kept Gabriela on the defense, but each strike was proving to be too much for her to handle. It took Gabriela forty-five seconds before she would be able to finally force them close to the ropes and make an attempt to escape, but Virginia took her leg to prevent her from being able to get out of the ringā¦Gabriela was able to shove Virginia off, and sprung to her feet in hopes of gaining some offense, but before she could get that fire started, was met with a FINAL RIDE that sealed the victory for Virginia Stepanov.}
Winner at 2:13: Virginia Stepanov!
------------------------------------ ALL IN MATCH Five Way Ladder Match Above the ring will hang five lottery balls, each holding a different prize. Prizes: Entry 1 in the Roulette Entry 15 in the Roulette Entry 30 in the Roulette 1 reentry into the Roulette after elimination 1 empty ball Stephen Terrella vs Leo Hemmingway Rob Diamond vs Pax Stormcrow vs Alek Bronson ------------------------------------
Alison Valance: The following contest is a five-man ladder match! Once a competitor climbs the ladder, retrieving a ball, that man will be eliminated. The match will continue until every man has retrieved one of the balls containing a piece of paper. Introducing first...
{ The beginning of " The Chain" starts, the arena fades to darkness as on the titantron the Smile comes on. Lights flicker as lightning strikes the ramp. The spotlight shines on Alek. As his head raises showing the mask. }
Alison Valance: Making his way to the ring... standing 6'9" tall... and weighing in at 265lbs... he is The Cheshire Warrior... Alek Bronson!
{ He walks to the ring looking around. He slides into the ring. Then just laughs maniacally. }
Alison Valance: And one of his opponents...
{ The Drums of "Maybe I'm a Lion" hit the area as the lights glow a soft orange and outsteps Leo wearing a high collared robe, walking towards the ring, wrist rolling as he walks. }
Alison Valance: Walking to the ring... standing 6' tall... and weighing in at 225lbs... from Baltimore, Maryland... Leo Hemmmmingwaaaaayyy!
{ Leo sizes up the ring before he climbs up and steps between the ropes to look around at the crowd, finding a corner after taking off the robe to size up Alek Bronson. }
Alison Valance: And their opponent...
{ The lights in the arena dim, and there is the sound of a powerup collected in an old video game system. At the sound, the crowd leap to their feet with cheers A beat is laid out, filling the arena with the sounds of a Midi file. The lights pulse in time with the music. As they flash as the beat trembles, an explosion of sparks rocks the entrance stage. Pax walks out onto the stage, looking around as the crowd bursts into cheers. He gives a smirk as the chanting on Suplex by A Tribe Called Red kicks in. }
Alison Valance: He is the IWF World Television Champion! Coming to the ring standing 6'2" tall... and weighing in at 240lbs... from Aitkin, Minnesota... Pax Storrrrrmcrowww!
{ He stands at the top of the ramp, lifting his right fist into the air with his head down, bobbing his hooded head along with the music before marching down to the ring. He slides into the ring and jumps onto the second turnbuckle, throwing his hood off and hyping up the crowd with yells before slipping his coat off and letting it fall to the ground. }
Alison Valance: Introducing next...
{ The camera takes a long shot of the entryway as and the arena darkens. Smoke begins to rise from the ground atop the stage, cast in a purple hue from the lighting directly overhead as 'Disorder' begins to blare across the speakers. A chorus of boos as already started, but Terrella and Portia do not walk out. The music continues to play for an empty stage, leaving everyone in the building a little puzzled. }
Terri Morasco: Where is Stephen Terrella?
Vasco Dias: I couldn't tell you, Morasco. I'll sometimes chat with them before the show, but I didn't see him or Portia all evening. Maybe they had flight trouble, I don't know.
Terri Morasco: I know you know something. You can't not know.
Vasco Dias: I don't! I never thought I'd say this, but for once in my life I don't know any more than you do. That made me throw up in my mouth a little.
{ The music stop, leaving Blue Shoes and Alison to conference for a minute. An IWF staff member runs out from the back, passing on word on the situation to Alison and Blue Shoes. }
Alison Valance: We have been informed that this match will proceed without Stephen Terrella. Introducing last...
{ Suddenly the lights drop out as the opening riff of Bad to the Bone by George Thorogood hits. The entire arena lets out a collective boo. The graphics on the screen show some of the many highlights of the career of Rob Diamond. The lights in the arena start to strobe pink as the second, third, fourth and fifth riffs all hit with pink pyro launching out of the stage and just as the lyrics kick in, Rob Diamond steps out to enormous boos! Rob Diamond walks down the ramp trying to slap some hands but the crowd members pull back, not happy to see the former World Champion back in the IWF. Rob smirks and points finger guns at a couple different people like he is still over before reaching the steps. Rob runs up the steps and teased climbing up the ropes but then steps into the ring. Rob hands Alison Valance a note card. }
Alison Valance: At this time it is my honor and my privilege to introduceā¦ THE MASTER OF DISASTER! THE FACE OF THE FRANCHISE! THE SULTAN OF SWAT! HE IS THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME! ROB DIAMOND!!!!
{ After the introduction, Rob throws up both arms with his index fingers in the air as pink pyro erupts along the ring apron behind him. }
Alison Valance: I guess we're going to see four men jockeying for five balls.
Vasco Dias: If that description doesn't have a typical Rob Diamond Friday night written all over it, I don't know what does?
Alison Valance: I wasn't meaning! No! Vasco! I meant the balls up there, dangling... not, I mean- I didn't mean it like that, or that! You know what I meant!
{ The opening bell sounds, and all four competitors jump out to a fast start. Rob immediately goes to the outside for a ladder, and Pax trails on his heels in pursuit. Leo lays into Alek Bronson with a series of knife-edge chops, stinging his chest. Rob and Pax fight over a ladder on the outside, pulling it back and forth between them with Rob shouting, "Give it to me!" When Rob goes to yank, Pax obliges, simply letting go and sending Rob falling backwards. Leo delivers a german suplex on Alek inside the ring, leaving him laying. Pax grabs the ladder off of Rob, sliding it into the ring. Leo wastes no time taking possession of the ladder, however. Pax tries to quickly get back inside, but just as he gets a hand on the middle rope, Rob comes up from behind and delivers a release german suplex on Pax that jams the back of Pax's neck into the floor!! }
{ Rob quickly gets in the ring to stop Leo from ascending the ladder, grabbing his trunks and pulling him off. The two men trade strikes, but are interrupted by Alek flying into the frame with a Yakuza Kick that catches Leo flush in the face! Rob puts his hand out, trying to convince Alek to team up with him on Leo. Both individuals look at each other uneasy, but Alek eventually accepts Rob's hand, only to pull him in and crack him in the skull with a headbutt. Rob staggers away as the Cheshire Warrior laughs. When Alek raises up for a double ax, Rob kicks him square in the jewels, however, garnering a bit of payback. Rob drills the doubled-over Bronson's head into the canvas with a double-arm DDT! }
{ Some of the medical staff from the back come down, checking in on Pax on the outside still. }
{ Hemmingway is up now, and he spins Rob on a dime, cinching him up and taking him over with a snap suplex! Diamond scoots for the corner, which proves to be a bad idea. Leo pulls him up, delivering a blistering series of machine gun chops to Rob in the corner. The crowd pops, trying to count along with each blow. Leo brings Rob out of the corner with a snapmare, and then pulls him up by the waist, readying him to deliver the 'Ode To Albright'! Rob is rocked by the Triple Dragon Suplexes! Just as Alek stirs, Leo dives into him with a sliding dropkick, knocking him to the floor! The crowd roars as Leo spots his opening, carefully setting up the ladder. He begins his climb, quickly moving rung-by-rung. At the top, he looks at the balls, knowing he has little time to decide. Leo grabs the middle ball, and climbs down three rungs, dropping the rest of the way. He holds the ball up for the crowd, and then goes about his business exiting the ring where Keybo Shabaz is standing by. }
Keybo Shabaz: Congratulations, Leo! The IWF has asked me to comedown here so we can show the world your ball together!
{ Keybo reconsiders his choice of wording with an awkward facial expression as Leo Hemmingway opens the ball. The building has almost come to a collective stop in anticipation. Leo appears less than over-joyed, however. He holds up the paper, revealing it to say: #1 }
Keybo Shabaz: In a cruel twist of irony, our first competitor to grab a ball tonight has drawn the number one! I'm sorry, Leo. Best of luck to you in the Roulette.
{ Leo heads to the back. Rob and Alek, having taken time to recover, as well as watch what Leo pulled, look toward the balls still hanging above the ring. Veteran that he is, Rob notices the ladder is still standing. He makes a break for it, but Bronson isn't going to give him a free climb. The two men do battle on the ladder, punching and kicking at each other, and bouncing each other's heads off the frame. The crowd roars though as Pax Stormcrow stands up on the outside, waving the medical personnel off. The Television Champion is still a little wobbly as he moves for the ring, but his eyes tell the story of a man possessed as he clutches at his neck. }
{ Pax slides in the ring, running over and pushing the ladder over. Both Rob and Alek land on ropes awkwardly, incapacitating both men. Pax hoists Rob up, depositing him on the canvas with an Olympic Slam! Bronson tries to come in on Pax, but Stormcrow catches him with a spinebuster! Pax refocuses on Rob, hitting him with a sitout powerbomb! Back to Alek goes Pax, this time performing a facebuster on him! Pax plays to the crowd, soaking in their reaction. Rob reaches into his tights while Pax is distracted, though. The moment Pax turns, Rob flings pink powder in Pax's eyes. Vasco, non-helpfully points out "that it must be Himalayan Salt on commentary, so at least it's lower sodium." Rob just starts throwing punches and kicks at Pax from all different angles. Diamond throws a picture-perfect standing dropkick, knocking Pax to the ground. }
{ Bronson grabs the ladder, folding it up and ramming it into Rob's face! The Cheshire Warrior lets out a cackling laugh. Bronson pulls a red marker out of his boot, and proceeds to draw a large "x" on the canvas with it. He grabs Rob by the throat, chokeslamming him onto the carefully placed mark. The unbalanced Bronson counts off sixteen paces in heel-to-toe fashion from Rob's head. He finds his place, and puts a smaller red "x" there. Bronson grabs the ladder, standing it up on the smaller mark, dropping it so the top lands directly on Rob's face! Alek walks over, lightly tapping at Rob's face to see if he's still conscious. What Alek doesn't catch is Pax, clearing his eyes, and bearing down on him! Pax hits Bronson with a BIG time belly-to-back suplex onto the ladder! Before Bronson can even blink, Pax pulls him up and dumps him to the outside! Pax stands the ladder up, plenty of gas still in the tank, and starts to climb. If not for having to stop and clear his eyes halfway up, his climb may have been made in record time. He grabs a ball, then makes his way down. }
Keybo Shabaz: Pax Stormcrow has grabbed another ball! He's making his way over here, and we're going to see where Pax is entering.
{ Pax cracks the ball, playing to the crowd a bit before he looks at the piece of paper. He takes a deep breath, then holds it up to reveal: #30 }
Keybo Shabaz: Pax Stormcrow is going to be the last entrant in the Roulette, ladies and gentlemen! What a stroke of luck for this man! Congratulations, Pax.
{ Pax heads to the back, leaving Rob and Alek to battle it out for the remaining balls. Alek tries to get back in the ring, but Rob kicks the middle rope, hitting Bronson in the crotch with it. Rob carefully positions Alek, dropping him with a draping DDT. Rob puts the boots to Alek, then scores with an ATOMIC LEG DROP! Diamond continues to assault Alek, presumably a little upset about what happened to his face. Bronson does turn the tide, though, catching Rob with a big boot. The back and forth continues for three minutes, eventually leading to Rob Diamond being able to set the ladder up and begin to ascend it. Bronson gives him only a brief head-start. Shaking some cobwebs out, The Cheshire Warrior decides to join Rob on the ladder. }
{ They both trade more shots back and forth in the rather precarious positions they're in. Alek's reach seems to be helping him land the heavier shots, but the brawler, Diamond, seems more than built to take them. Finally Rob reaches out, pulling the mask down over Bronson's eyes. This gives Rob enough of an advantage to reach up and snatch a ball. Alek pushes his mask up, reaching up himself and taking a ball. The two men seem to consider they made their decisions in extreme haste, though. Rob takes one slow step down a rung, stopping. Mirroring his movements, Alek does the same. Diamond starts to look back up at the ball still hanging, then back at Alek. Bronson starts to utter nonsense to himself, but also looks back up at the still hanging ball. Eyes on Alek's ball, Rob shouts as loud as he can... }
Rob Diamond: Get your damn hands off my ball!
{ Rob tosses his ball to Bronson, and now it's Alek who looks indecisive. Alek throws his original ball to Rob, nearly sending Rob flying off the ladder on the catch. Blue Shoes throws up his hands in relent, having just witnessed the switch complete. Diamond quickly moves down the ladder, racing out of the ring as fast as he possibly can to join Keybo Shabaz on the floor. }
Keybo Shabaz: That was an... interesting exchange. Rob Diamond has his ball in hand, though, and we're ready to see what he's got!
{ Rob fumbles with the ball a moment, but shoos Keybo away when he tries to help. With the ball now open, Rob slowly opens the paper, eyes wide. He thrusts his arms in the air, then holds up the piece of paper, revealing: Second Chance Entry. }
Keybo Shabaz: Rob Diamond is going to have two chances in the Roulette! Unbelievable! He didn't even have that ball to begin with, ladies and gentlemen! That means...
{ Rob has already started backing up the ramp as Alek starts opening his ball in the ring, revealing it to be completely empty. Alek rocks, laughing maniacally as he looks at the ball still hanging in the air. That ball is now obviously the #15, and he stands up, ready to make another trade. Bronson starts up the ladder, but Blue Shoes grabs his arm, telling him he can't. "You ball is open, it's final," are Blue Shoes words to him. Alek hops down off the second rung, laughing still. He pats Blue Shoes on the head gently, putting his hand to his mouth to shush the official. Without warning, Bronson violently hoists the beloved Blue Shoes up and drills him into the canvas with a devastating 'Cheshire' brainbuster!! Alek rubs the unconscious official's head as the crowd boos Bronson unmercifully. }
{ Alek starts up the ladder again, swaying side-to-side on the way up, only to stop three quarters of the way up when 'Disorder' begins to blare across the speakers. Portia walks out onto the stage all alone, marching for the ring. Bronson has a watchful eye on her, but is caught off-guard by Terrella hopping the barricade and slipping in the other side of the ring. Terrella shoves the ladder over with fury, dumping Alek to the floor. Bronson crashes onto the barricade, and the ladder ends up resting on the top rope. Terrella leans over the top rope, flipping off Bronson before taking hold of the ladder. He stands it back up in the center of the ring, holding it steady. Portia parts the ropes, moving for the ladder. She begins to make the climb herself very carefully, Terrella supporting it the entire time. She pulls the last ball, kissing it, before starting back down. When she gets close enough to the bottom, Terrella positions himself so she is able to sit on his shoulder. He holds her up on one side, and the lipstick stained ball on the other as the crowd boos knowing Terrella took the easy way out to be the #15 entrant. }
------------------------------------ IWF WOMEN'S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP SINGLES MATCH NO DQ, NO TIME LIMIT Tara Fenix vs Shelly Diamond(c) ------------------------------------
Vasco Dias: Welcome back to Friday Night Sacrifice! Next up is the main event of the evening and it may be the biggest match in the history of Sacrifice!
Terri Morasco: Youāre right on point there, Vasco. Tara Fenix and Shelly Diamond is a feud thatās been near a decade in the making. Weāve seen them try and settle their scores twice before and both times going to a no contest!
Vasco Dias: Well tonight there will be no time limits, no disqualifications! They will fight until we have a winner!
Terri Morasco: We may be in for a long night, Vasco!
{Every light throughout the arena flickers out while the crowd gives a premature cheer; when the beginning of āThe Eagle Flies Aloneā begins to play, a blue spotlight comes in at the same sequence and is shining at the curtain which gets the crowd riled up further. The cheers that The Phoenix Queen is receiving from the audience is outweighing anyone in the crowd that opposes her. The sound of the fog machines can be heard going off heavily as the stage soon fills with fog. The lights in the arena are coming back up creating a blue hue and just as the chorus kicks in, the crowd lets out a huge roar when they finally see Tara Fenix emerge from behind the curtain.}
I, I go my own way! I swim against the stream! (Forever) I will fight the powers that be!
{Tara is standing at the top of the stage wearing one of her designed jackets, and the hood pulled over her head. She is carrying a flagpole with a flag attached; she takes a moment to scan the crowd and see the number of her supporters and soon she raises the flag and waves it back and forth several times and the cameras do their own scan over the crowd and can see a number of people raising the same logo that is on the banner. The Age of the Phoenix. Tara continues to wave the banner for a few more seconds before holding it straight up and bringing the pole down to tap it against the stage and finally slings the pole over her shoulder while marching down to the ring. Some of the fans stretch their hands out for her, and she walks to one side with her arm held out slightly; however, her eyes remain locked on the ring. When she reaches the bottom of the ramp she goes to the nearby steel steps and quickly ascends. She stops for a moment and carefully attaches her own flagpole to the steel post where the Age of the Phoenix banner will be for the duration of the match.}
I, I go my own way! I swim against the stream! (Forever) I will fight the pĪæwers that be! The eagle flies alone!
{After securing the flagpole to the ring pole, she takes two steps on the apron before sliding forward and down onto one knee; her head and eyes scan the crowd again while the crowd is chanting her name. She finally crawls between the middle and bottom ropes then charges to the far corner and as she lands on the second rope, she pulls her hood back and lets her arms go out with her palms up. She holds the pose for several seconds, then does a one-eighty off of the second rope to land back on her feet; she runs to the opposite end where the flagpole is, and repeats the process but this time holds the banner out for all to see the symbol. She does another one-eighty, lands inside the ring, and takes off her jacket while waiting for the match to begin.}
{ The lights in the arena dim to a dull grey as smoke emits from the ramp way. Envy by Ice Nine Kills hits the pa as the lights in the arena turn bright white. As the song really kicks in the lights die down to a normal level to reveal Shelly Diamond standing on the ramp with the IWF Women's World Championship over her shoulder. }
Say what you want, the jealousy's absolute! You've already got the claws diggin' into you! You're hopelessly green, like the sickness you feed! The greed never leaves, it just lies and deceives! Believe me! This envy, it's gonna be the end!
{ Shelly holds the IWF Women's World Championship up over her head as pyro erupts behind her. Once the light show dies down she begins to strut her way toward the ring to the beat of the music. Shelly walks up the steps, climbing up the outside of the ropes before throwing the IWF Women's World Championship up over her head again as the lights in the arena turn up to a blinding level. When the lights return to normal she is now standing in the center of the ring, ready and waiting. Shelly takes off the World title and gives it one more look before handing it to Blue Shoes. }
Alison Valance: The following contest is scheduled for one fall with a sixty minute time limit and it is for the IWF WOMENāS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP! To my left, she is the challenger, THE GODDESS! THE PHOENIX QUEEN!TARA FENIX!
{ Tara steps forward and slaps both hands on the center plate of the World title. }
Alison Valance: And to my right, she is the reigning and defending IWF WOMENāS WORLD CHAMPION!!! THE HEAD HUNTER! SHELLY DIAMOND!!!
{ Shelly steps forward and takes the World title from Blue Shoes and marches across the ring to shove it in Taraās face. Tara immediately shoves her off and Shelly drops the belt as she lunges at Tara! Blue Shoes calls for the bell to start the match! }
Vasco Dias: Iām shocked they waited for the introductions!
Terri Morasco: Me too!
{ Shelly and Tara are slugging it out in the corner of the ring to kick things off. Both women are just throwing absolute haymakers at each other and neither one is even bothering to block! The shots continue to rain in and both women are already busted open, Shelly above her eyebrow and Tara has blood trickling from her mouth. Tara finally breaks it up and shoves Shelly away before charging in with a Fallen Phoenix! Tara rolls away from Shelly and wipes the blood from her mouth. Shelly is back up to her feet and Blue Shoes spreads some vaseline over her wound to stop the bleeding.
The two women then charge in at each other again but this time Shelly hits a knee lift on Tara and connects with her midsection! Tara doubles over and Shelly takes her by the hair, spins her around and chucks Tara through the ropes and onto the apron. Shelly then launches herself at Tara with a D-Trigger! Shelly isnāt satisfied and hits Tara with another D-Trigger then turns Tara around and heaves her into the barrier with a Shoulder Capture Snap Suplex driving her Challenger into the barrier very awkwardly! With Tara braced up against the crowd barrier, Shelly begins to unload her patented Chopping Block kicks to the chest and midsection of Fenix! Tara letās out a loud yell after the sixth kick which connected with her stomach!
Shelly is pulled back by Blue Shoes who comes out to check on the challenger as she spits blood on the arena floor. Blue Shoes seems to ask if Tara is okay and she nods her head and shoves the referee away. Shelly comes in looking for a spear into the crowd barrier but Tara moves out of the way and Shelly goes crashing head first through the crowd barrier knocking over the steel barrier!
Tara holds her stomach for a moment like something inside is hurting but she presses onward. Shelly is trying to get up but Tara grabs a chair from the crowd and then just unloads over the back of the champion until the padded front row chair is basically folded in half in the shape of Shellyās lower back! Tara tosses the chair aside and pulls Shelly up to her feet and hits her with the Phoenix Driver on the exposed concrete in the first few rows of fans!
Tara pulls the champion up and starts to drag her back toward the ring. They nearly reach the apron when the champion socks Taraā in the gut. Shelly then grabs the Challenger with an F the 80ās hip toss backbreaker! With Tara bent over her knee, Shelly drills an elbow into the gut of Fenix which causes her to let out a loud yell! Shelly pushes Tara off her knee as Blue Shoes comes in again. Tara spits out more blood as she grimaces but is refusing to back down. Shelly is screaming at Blue Shoes to stay out of this and Tara comes in from behind and spins Shelly around before hitting her with a Genocide Kick!
Tara pulls Shelly back up to her feet and rolls her back into the ring. Blue Shoes tries to check on Tara again but Fenix presses on. Shelly is scrambling to stand up but Tara is there with another Genocide Kick! Shelly is down but Tara shakes her head and screams for Shelly to get back to her feet. Shelly stands up but she is on spaghetti legs. Tara comes in for a third Genocide Kick! Shelly is down, her face a crimson mask from that wound over her eye but Tara is unwilling to end this match. She yells that she isnāt finished yet. Tara grabs Shelly by the head and pulls her back up to her feet. Tara sets Shelly up for the Phoenix Wings but Shelly breaks free and hits a short arm clothesline!
Shelly backs off, sheās staggered, sheās bleeding and Tara gets back up to her feet. Tara tells Shelly to bring it and the champ rushes in looking to fist fight again but Tara grabs her with another Fallen Phoenix! Tara thinks about going for the cover but she doesnāt want to waste the energy. She wants to make sure when she covers Shelly that Shelly isnāt going to get up. Tara pulls Shelly up again and the champ snaps back to life with a D-Trigger! Shelly quickly grabs her challenger for the Neck Brace! Shelly also considers pinning Tara here but she isnāt down hurting the woman whoās memory has haunted her for nearly ten years.
Shelly pulls Tara up to her feet but Tara hits her with an elbow to her gut. Tara hits several shoot kicks to the midsection of the champion and then takes her to the mat with a northern lights suplex. Tara is riling the fans up who are ready to see her finally put Shelly Diamond away once and for all. Shelly is trying to get back to her feet as Tara comes in from behind with another Genocide Kick! The crowd is on their feet as they feel like this one could be almost over. Shelly is somehow trying to get back up and Tara gives her a little round of applause for the effort but the Fenix is ready to end this.
Tara moves in for the kill but Shelly turns, sensing her challenger and fires off a thrust kick directly into the stomach of Tara Fenix! Tara drops to a knee, gasping as the Champ gets to her feet. Shelly spots Tara holding her midsection and sensing the blood in the water, Shelly hits Tara with another D-Trigger then pulls Fenix up and drills her in the gut with a knee strike. Tara seems to be gasping and Shelly screams at Tara before hitting her again with a knee strike. Tara waves at Blue Shoes who moves and stops Shelly from hitting a third knee strike to the stomach of Tara Fenix.
Tara drops down on both knees, holding her stomach as Blue Shoes checks on her. Shelly is screaming for Tara to get back up as the crowd is in a stunned silence. Tara says something to Blue Shoes who runs over to the side of the ring to say something to the time keeper and Alison Valance. The bell is immediately called as Blue Shoes throws his hands up over his head making an X! Shelly shakes her head and demands to know what is going on but Blue Shoes pushes her away. }
Alison Valance: Your winner of this match via forfeit! And still IWF Womenās World Champion! Shelly Diamond!
{ Shelly is still trying to figure out whatās going on as the medical crew runs out to help Tara. Tara is trying to walk but eventually they get her to sit in a wheel chair. The crowd is shocked and worried as to what is going on while Shelly is in the ring, pacing back and forth. }
Terri Morasco: This doesnāt look good, Vasco.
Vasco Dias: No it doesnāt. Iām getting word itās some sort of abdominal injury but there is no way to tell how bad. It looked like Blue Shoes spotted it earlier in the match but Tara was unwilling to give up this shot.
Terri Morasco: Well hopefully she will be ok because this is not how anyone wanted to see this match end.
Vasco Dias: Absolutely not. Shelly won, technically but she didnāt beat Tara and I donāt think either of them will be happy with that ending.
Terri Morasco: Well we here at IWF wish Tara a speedy recovery.
{ We close the night on Tara being wheeled into the back while Shelly leans against the top rope, the crowd mummering among themselves over what happened to Tara and if she will be ok. }
