Xavier Cross (c) vs. Ryan Blade (c) competing to become the first dual singles champion in IWF history has created an interesting result. With both men scoring a 'victory' at the 'same' time, however, due to match stipulations, the belts should have not changed hands.
However, as the referees fought to determine the result. Ryan Blade escaped the arena with both belts clutched to his chest, leaving a tired, and shocked Xavier Cross.
Blade would go on later that night to be part of the Empire beat down of Rob Diamond, marking his spot in Spike Kane's Empire. Though the Man of Steel and 'new' Heavyweight Champion was not reached for comment, Xavier Cross, also Heavyweight Champion, was.
"I mean...who knows. He had that Choke Job locked in, I was able to turn it into a pin, but I was losing my breath. I tapped because I was at my limit. But I had the pin fall victory, so we're at a point where we have two referees, which one do we defer to? This is where instant replay could, and would come in handy. Blade has assumed he has won, but this has only just begun..." -Xavier Cross
Which now brings to question, with many sports using Instant Replay to make sure the right calls occur, what will IWF do?
Who is the rightful champion? let's hear it folks!
