{ The show opener for Friday Night Sacrifice plays to the theme of IOU by Five Finger Death Punch showing clips of all the current champions as well as some of the biggest stars in IWF currently. }
Vasco Dias: Welcome to Friday Night Sacrifice! I'm Vasco Dias!
Terri Morasco: And I'm Terri Morasco!
Vasco Dias: We've got another huge show for you! The Heir to the Throne is nearing it's end!
Terri Morasco: And it looks like we have a surprise shake up to the brackets as Arthur Lucideous is taking some time off due to injury!
Vasco Dias: Group A has had a rough run but this shake up is just what they need!
Terri Morasco: The women's division steps up to Shelly's challenge!
Vasco Dias: And so much more!
Terri Morasco: But before all that we've got our first match of the evening! Two newcomers looking to make their mark in the IWF!
Vasco Dias: I can't wait!
------------------------------------ SINGLES MATCH RAM vs Miyamoto Okazaki ------------------------------------ Vasco Dias: Our opening match pits two of our newest wrestlers in RAM and Miyamoto Okazaki against one another.
Teri Morasco: RAM debuted last week with an impressive win over Nick Danger, and we’ve seen Ozaki in tag action with his friend Alek Bronson.
{Red clouds fill the tron and ramp as fog comes. To sink or swim, ikinokoru tame ni
Dog eat dog world da to iikikase
What went wrong?
Survival of the fittest, jakuniku kyoushoku
If it’s the world that our wisdom will lead
Well, tell me what went wrong
I’ve paid my dues
I’ve sold my soul
So tell me, what is left for me
When I’ve given up everything
Okazaki steps out to the drum dropping and the chorus as the lights shine on him. He smiles as he shoves his thumb to his chest. Walking through the fog, he slides into the ring as he steps on the turnbuckle as he sings along to the song. Then finally drops down.}
Teri Morasco: Miyamoto wearing his ever present anime t-shirt on his way to the ring. I spoke with him earlier today and that is a Bleach shirt that he had to have shipped here from Japan.
"This progam has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down..."
{ will.i.am's "Geekin'" begins playing as Ram hops into the picture, and as pyro goes off around him he pretends to do the famous Buster Sword "victory" pose before heading down to ringside. While he gets a mixed reaction from the crowd, he takes a moment or two to look around and admire the gathering around him before stepping inside the ring. }
Vasco Dias: Both of these men love to throw hands, so I wouldn’t expect to much catch-as-catch-can wrestling in this one. Teri Morasco: Although Miyamoto Okazaki is the better technical wrestler and he might want to utilize that to neutralize RAM’s five inch height advantage.
{The two lock up and RAM uses his slight size advantage to drive The Nerdiest Nerd into the corner. Once Miyamoto is trapped against the turnbuckles Marshal begins to lay in heavy rights and lefts to Okazaki’s mid-section trying to drive the air from the shorter man’s lungs. Referee Jessica Andrews steps in and begins her five count for RAM to allow his opponent out of the corner and the young man backs off at three. Marshall allows Miyamoto to take three step from the corner before rocking the Houston native with a cheap headbutt followed by a belly to belly suplex. RAM moves into for the kill, but the Master of Anime smartly rolls to the floor to clear the cobwebs from his head.}
Vasco Dias: Marshall is using his size advantage to manhandle Miyamoto Okazaki,
Teri Morasco: I think that headbutt might have even opened up a gash in the corner of Okazaki’s eye. It will be interesting to see how that plays a part in this match.
{Staying in attack mode RAM rolls to the ring after his opponent, but the more veteran man is waiting and nearly breaks Marshall in half with Chinmoku No Gureibusapuraizu (Spear). Wasting no time Miyamoto rolls into the ring and demands that Jessica Andrews begins her count…
One Two Three Four…
RAM rolls two his belly and gets up on his hands and knees.
Five Six Seven
He pulls himself up using the barricade.
Eight Nine
Somehow he finds the energy to jump into the ring and break the count. The Nerdiest Nerd backs away and allows a still obviously injured R.A. Marshall to get to his feet and shake off the effects of the vicious spear.}
Vasco Dias: What in the hell is Okazaki doing? He was in control of this match and he is just letting RAM to get up.
Teri Morasco: I spoke with Miyamoto today, because I had heard rumors of him doing just this. He said that he wants to face his opponent at their absolute best to test himself.
Vasco Dias: That sounds like a really good way to lose a lot of matches.
{RAM begins jawing with his opponent and he says something that sets off Miyamoto and the anime enthusiast shoots across the squared circle looking to hit a second Chinmoku No Gureibusapuraizu, but Marshall has lured him in and he shoots through the turnbuckle crashing shoulder first into the ring post. The Nerdiest Nerd stumbles back gripping his arm and James Gilmore’s latest protege is waiting to plant him with a Saito suplex. Marshall stays in control by trapping Okazaki’s arm and raining down twelve six elbows directly into the shoulder that collided with the ring post. The referee kneels down to see if Miyamoto submits, but the Master of Anime keeps fighting until he is able to hook his foot on the bottom strand forcing a break.
Marshall releases the hold and gets to his feet just waiting for his opponent to get to his feet before planting him with a cutter, before locking on The Red Ring of Death. Okazaki has no choice but to submit to the painful submission, especially after having his shoulder working over.}
Vasco Dias: R.A. Marshall picks up another impressive win to go to 2-0 here in IWF.
Teri Morasco: I know when you’re a champion you need to constantly be looking in your review mirror, and if you’re Dane Preston young R.A. Marshall might just be coming up on you fast.
------------------------------------ HEIR TO THE THRONE SINGLES MATCH Arthur Licdeous vs Pax Stormcrow ------------------------------------
{ "Careless Whisper" hits. Arthur Lucideus walks down to the ring slowly, dancing and singing along to his theme as the crowd boo him on. Once he gets in the ring he takes off his shirt and bowtie and gives them to ringside personnel. }
Terri Morasco: This is an extremely important match for both of these men tonight, Vasco. What does Arthur need to do to win this?
Vasco Dias: He already did exactly what he needed to do, Morasco- he made it here without getting into an accident on the way to the arena. They drive like maniacs here. The rest will take care of itself. I mean look at Arthur, and then look at…
{ The lights in the arena dim, and there is the sound of a powerup collected in an old video game system. At the sound, the crowd leap to their feet with cheers A beat is laid out, filling the arena with the sounds of a Midi file. The lights pulse in time with the music. As they flash as the beat trembles, an explosion of sparks rocks the entrance stage. Pax walks out onto the stage, looking around as the crowd bursts into cheers. He gives a smirk as the chanting on Suplex by A Tribe Called Red kicks in.
He stands at the top of the ramp, lifting his right fist into the air with his head down, bobbing his hooded head along with the music before marching down to the ring. He slides into the ring and jumps onto the second turnbuckle, throwing his hood off and hyping up the crowd with yells before slipping his coat off and letting it fall to the ground. }
Terri Morasco: I know you were going to say something rude about Pax earlier, Vasco. I'm looking at him now though and I see a guy on a mission tonight. Arthur better be at the top of his game.
Vasco Dias: Look, Morasco, Pax has every physical tool in his toolbox a wrestler could ever want. If he had a brain, he'd be dangerous. All he wants to do is suck up to these people in the crowd like he's auditioning for a Blistex commercial, though. He needs to smarten up the way JC Keeton did.
{ The two men begin to circle at the sound of the bell. Arthur wears a confident grin, while Pax looks determined. After Arthur licks his fingers, they lock up. Pax slips it into a headlock, but he holds the move high, allowing Arthur to shoot Pax into the ropes. Lucideus catches Stormcrow in a hip toss, putting Stormcrow down. Arthur brings Pax up before unleashing on his opponent's chest with some blistering chops. Lucideus takes Pax down again with a drop-toe-hold, then tussles Pax hair in an arrogant attempt to show him up. }
{ Arthur bows for the booing crowd, after which he turns and bows for Hazel Knight and Rita Valentine. Stormcrow is far from finished, however. Pax pops up behind Arthur, catching him off guard with a belly-to-back suplex! Not fooling around, Stormcrow shakes Arthur's insides with a deadlift powerbomb! Pulling Lucideus up, Pax transitions into a rear waist lock, setting up to deliver a massive German Suplex! Stormcrow hangs on, twisting his hips and bringing Arthur up for another German! Like a vice, Pax continues to hold on, swinging Lucideus around for a third German! He doesn't stop there, repeating the process for a fourth time! Woozy, Arthur is brought up and over for a fifth time! }
Terri Morasco: Pax is going to do it again!... Here comes number six!
Vasco Dias: These idiots in the crowd need to stop counting along, Morasco! They're encouraging him! Poor Arthur probably feels like he just chugged a three dollar bottle of Tequila.
Terri Morasco: There's number seven! Stormcrow is still going! The amount of strength and endurance this takes!...
Vasco Dias: There's eight, and Arthur isn't looking so great!
{ Stormcrow continues on, reaching ten before he finally lets go and deposits Arthur on the canvas! Pax plays to the crowd now, bowing to them over Arthur's fallen body. Raising Arthur once more, Stormcrow hooks Arthur's arm and delivers him to the canvas with "Peace Out!" Official, Jessica Andrews, quickly slides into position for a perfectly timed count as the fans count along… }
One!
Two!!
Three!!!
{ The bell sounds and Pax lets go of the bridge. Pax's music hits as he nods his head. The referee takes his arm and raises it in victory. }
Terri Morasco: A strong performance and a big win here puts Pax Stormcrow on the board in Heir to the Throne! And even though Angel Blake may have a big lead, we don't know what's going to happen later tonight. If Nick Knight can beat Angel, it's anybody's game still.
Vasco Dias: Injuries happen in these tournaments too, Morasco. We saw it with Dean. You're never out of it until it's over. Speaking of out of it though, for the love of… can someone please go check on poor Arthur. He's a precious commodity! What do we pay these trainers for?!
{ Pax taps his chest, showing love to the crowd as the show goes to break. }
Winner: Pax Stormcrow by pinfall
------------------------------------ SEGMENT "MODify Your Life ------------------------------------ {A black and white image of a homeless man sleeping in an alley comes onto the screen. He is dressed in rags and using rotting news papers as a blanket. All of his worldly possessions are packed into a shopping cart that he stole from a nearby big box store. A man walks into the alley, his face is unclear, and leans down and hands the man a backpack. The man opens the backpack and is amazed to find that it is full of one hundred dollar bills.The words MODify your life comes on the screen in Old English script.}
Vasco Dias: Alright, these vignettes are just getting more off the wall each week I just don’t understand what they mean.
Teri Morasco: I don’t either, but I’m telling you they have something to do with The Church of Crosse.
------------------------------------ SINGLES MATCH Nick Danger vs Caleb Cannin ------------------------------------
{ The opening riff of “Epic” greets the audience as Caleb Cannin walks onto the entrance stage. He smiles devilishly as he makes a confident stride down the ramp. He reaches the steel steps, glaring at any fans in the front. Making a careful ascent up the steps, he wipes his feet on the apron before setting foot in the ring. He ditches the jacket and towel, tossing them at a poor ring attendant. }
Vasco Dias: Here he comes, it’s The Future, Morasco!
Terri Morasco: Caleb Cannin has certainly talked a big game heading into his debut tonight, but will he back it up in the ring?
Vasco Dias: With a name as big as The Future, you better be able to!
{ I Hate U by Boston Manor comes on the speaker and Nick Danger walks out to the entrance ramp wearing Red andGrey wrestling attire and his leather jacket says Savior. He stands on the entrance ramp hyping the whole crowd to chant his name and starts walking down the ramp while giving fans high fives. He walks up the steel steps and goes through the middle rope to stand near the center of the ring for a moment then takes off his leather jacket and then throws both of them to the crowd then stands at the corner turnbuckle ready for the match to start. }
Terri Morasco: Always a fighter is Nick Danger, but he’s coming off a hard-fought loss to another IWF newcomer, R.A. Marshall!
Vasco Dias: Let me tell you, Danger is hungry for another win here tonight. But as it stands, I don’t think he’s gonna be able to overcome Caleb Cannin.
Alison Valance: Introducing first, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he is the New Savior of Wrestling… NICK DANGER!
{ Danger raises his arms in the air, striking a confident pose. }
Alison Valance: And his opponent, making his-
{ Caleb Cannin snatches the microphone from Alison’s hand, looking around at the crowd before speaking. }
Caleb Cannin: Ladies and gentlemen… if you don’t know me, you’re about to because THIS is the IWF debut of the man who defies Danger.
{ He smirks at Nick Danger, who promptly gives him a middle finger. }
Caleb Cannin: Stay mad, Nicky, stay mad. Hailing from Washington D.C., he is the unabridged prospect of professional wrestling, the hottest up-and-comer in the business and the TRUE Savior of Wrestling… he is The FUTURE… THE FUUUUTURE… THE FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTURRRRREEEEEEEE… CALEB. CANNIN.
Terri Morasco: Caleb Cannin, really staying humble in his debut match, isn’t he?
Vasco Dias: It’s called confidence, Morasco. The Future is simply trying to get into his opponent’s head, and I’d say it’s working beautifully!
{ Caleb tosses the mic away, ready for the bell. As soon as it rings, Danger starts out hot with a big shotgun dropkick, forcing Cannin back into the corner. Cannin quickly rolls out of the ring, not letting Nick get the upper hand right away. Looking to lure him back in, Danger taunts Cannin and beckons him to come in. The Future slides into the ring, standing face-to-face with the Dangerous One. Both men size each other up before getting into a knuckle lock, testing their individual strength. Cannin, the larger man, pressures Danger back into the ropes. The referee, Jessica Andrews, begins a count of five before Cannin delivers a sharp kick to Danger’s midsection. }
{ The Future holds his opponent in a cravate, twisting his neck and body to a 180 before dropping him down to the mat. He goes for a cover, but Danger quickly kicks out at one. As Caleb hoists up Danger, the Savior begins to throw hard shots to his opponent’s body, backing him off for a brief moment. A superkick connects on Cannin’s jaw and makes him stumble backwards. Danger leans into the ropes and goes for a sling blade, but Cannin ducks the attempt. Undeterred, Danger runs to the other side of the ring and springboards off the middle rope. He is met with a harsh response: a dropkick counter from Caleb. As Danger gets to his feet, Cannin hits an enziguri to the back of Nick’s neck, dropping him to all fours. Once he is vulnerable, Cannin stomps at the shoulder of Danger. }
Vasco Dias: And that was some great ring IQ from Caleb Cannin. He really is the Future!
Terri Morasco: Danger might be in… well, danger!
{ Danger clutches at his right shoulder, wincing from the pain inflicted upon it. Ever the cold tactician, Caleb Cannin forces a hammerlock on his opponent as Danger grinds his teeth, feeling every constraint of the hold. He begins to fight through the agony and punishment, slowly reversing the hammerlock and gripping the wrist of Cannin. A bicycle knee is attempted by Danger, but Caleb dodges. What he doesn’t dodge, however, is the hard-hitting Pele kick! The kick sends Cannin through the ropes and to the outside, which Danger charges towards. As he soars through the air, Caleb moves out of the way and allows Danger to crash and burn to the guardrail. He throws the mangled heap that is Danger’s body back into the ring and goes for the cover. }
Terri Morasco: That was a nasty looking dive from Danger! It might cost him big time here…
Vasco Dias: And that’s the difference between a reckless nutjob like Nick Danger and a crafty wrestler like Caleb Cannin!
{ ONE…
TWO…
Danger kicks out as Cannin shakes his head in disappointment. He readies his opponent for Clairvoyance, but Danger slips between his legs and rushes to the ropes, bouncing off to hit a Legacy Cutter! Cannin’s head smashes into the canvas as Danger gets to the apron, looking for a Rise and Fall to the Future. Caleb manages to catch a quick glance of Danger as he leaps on the top rope and flies off, but Cannin gives a nudge to Jessica Andrews to send her into harm’s way. Danger manages to land on his feet and catch himself before crashing into Andrews, trying to apologize. Cannin sneaks in from behind Danger and hits a Cup Check outside of the ref’s view! With a prone Nick Danger in his grasp, Caleb hooks his arms and turns him around, driving the Savior down with The Cannin Ending! He goes for the cover, a smug grin on his face.
ONE…
TWO…
THREE! }
Vasco Dias: A decisive victory for Caleb Cannin tonight! The Future looks bright in his IWF debut!
Terri Morasco: The so-called Future had to play dirty in order to beat Nick Danger!
Vasco Dias: I don’t know what you saw out there, but it was a perfectly clean match-up! Danger got beat, fair and square!
Terri Morasco: Maybe you should get your eyes che- wait a minute!
{ After the bell, Cannin stomps away at Danger and gives him Clairvoyance, refusing to let go of the devastating submission hold. He cackles as Danger cries out in anguish. After a brief moment, Danger loses consciousness and passes out, which prompts The Future to finally release the hold. Before exiting the ring, he speaks to the nearest camera. }
Caleb Cannin: This is just the first glimpse… at The Future! Be ready, IWF, cause I’m taking this bitch over!
Terri Morasco: Somebody check on Nick Danger, he could be seriously hurt!
Vasco Dias: If we know anything about Nick Danger, he won’t take it lying down… except for right now!
Terri Morasco: Well, if Caleb Cannin wanted to make enemies, he might’ve just gotten a sworn one out of Nick Danger.
Winner: Caleb Cannin by pinfall
------------------------------------ HEIR TO THE THRONE SINGLES MATCH Warren Harper vs Alek Bronson ------------------------------------
{The lights go out and the snow steady beat of New Divide by Linkin Park plays and the crowd gives a good cheer for Warren Kane as he emerges from behind the curtains wearing a simple leather jacket, with his hands at his hips and a smile on his face. He then heads towards the ring, stopping to touch hands with members of the crowd before stopping in front of the ring. Closes his eyes, takes a breath before jumping up onto the apron, climbing the turnbuckle on the outside and raising his arms in the air getting a positive reaction from the crowd. The music dies down and the lights return to normal as he drops into the ring.}
{ The beginning of " The Chain" starts, the arena fades to darkness as on the titantron the Smile comes on. Lights flicker as lightning strikes the ramp. The spotlight shines on Alek. As his head raises showing the mask. He walks to the ring looking around. He slides into the ring. Then just laughs maniacally. }
Vasco Dias: Here we go! Another big match up in the Heir to the Throne!
Terri Morasco: Warren has been down on his luck but a win here could change everything!
Vasco Dias: The same could be said for Alek Bronson too!
Terri Morasco: Absolutely! That’s what makes the Heir to the Throne so exciting!
{ The match kicked with Bronson nailing a devastating big boot that sent Warren Kane straight over the top rope and toppling to the outside. The referee tried to go check on him but Alek pushed the referee aside and followed Warren out. Alek pulled Warren up to his feet and launched him into the guard rail several times, almost knocking the rail over on the final one. Then Alek would take the limp body of Warren and heave him like a lawn dart into the ring post. Alek was looking like a monster made flesh as he continued beating on Warren outside of the ring as the referee tried to get them to come back in. Alek finally tossed Warren in a gorilla press through the ropes. Alek came in fast and went for a cover but Warren was able to get a shoulder up. Both men got back to their feet and Alek went to whip Warren but Kane put the brakes on and hit a pele kick! Warren then connected with a Kidd Kick to the shock of the crowd and went for a cover on Alek Bronson! Alek was able to kick out at two. Warren seemed to shake the cob webs loose at this point and connected with a tornado ddt on Alek. Warren went to the top rope but Alek was there to knock him down onto the ropes. Alek climbed up and connected with an avalanche brainbuster on Warren Kane! Alek was on his feet and ready to go as Warren struggled to stand, his head swimming. Alek came out of the corner like a battering ram and connected with the Glaive! Alek made the cover on the former world champion and picked up the three count victory! }
Winner: Alek Bronson!
Vasco Dias: What a huge win for Alek Bronson!
Terri Morasco: A career making moment for sure!
Vasco Dia: Though it looks like Warren got knocked for a loop there!
Terri Morasco: He will definitely need to be checked out by trainers later.
{ Warren is helped from the ring as Alek stands tall. }
------------------------------------ SEGMENT "Open Challenge." ------------------------------------
{ We go backstage where Keybo Shabaz stands with the IWF Women's World Champion, Shelly Diamond. Shelly doesn't look happy at all as Keybo starts his intro. }
Keybo Shabaz: Keybo here with the IWF Women's World Champion! Shelly Diamond.
Shelly Diamond: IWF World Champion.
Keybo Shabaz: Sorry. Last week we saw Erin O'Ciardha and you brawl backstage, clearly in response to your in ring comments. What do you have to say about that?
{ Shelly gives a half smirk. }
Shelly Diamond: I'm glad we have you here for these intros, Keybo.
{ Shelly adjusts the title on her shoulder. }
Shelly Diamond: What do I have to say? I have to say, great job, Erin! It's about time someone show these cowards and twitter trolls what it means to be a real challenger! I'm glad all it took for you to step up was me dragging your name through the mud.
{ Shelly half laughs. }
Shelly Diamond: But where is the rest of the division!? Where's Caroline and Jennie and Sara and Charolette and anyone else on the roster who calls themselves a competitor!?
{ Shelly looks from side to side then shrugs. }
Shelly Diamond: No where to be found, strangely enough. So I'll tell you what. I'm going to make this really easy for all of you. Anyone who wants a shot at the IWF Women's World Championship? Meet me in the ring next week. This is an open challenge to the whole goddamn roster. Step up or shut up.
{ Shelly brushes past Keybo as she walks out of the shot and we head back to the ring. }
------------------------------------ SINGLES MATCH 1K Word Limit Caroline Machado vs Charlotte Armstrong vs Jennie Fenix ------------------------------------
"Her ongoing mission...to boldly go where no one has gone before..."
{ The voice of Sir Patrick Stewart echoes throughout the arena before Dua Lipa's "Levitating" begins to blare. A blast a pyro goes off as Caroline Machado heads out to the stage, dancing to the beat of the tune while sporting a brief, but warmhearted grin on her face. }
"(Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
I got you, moonlight, you're my starlight I need you, all night Come on, dance with me (I'm levitating) You, moonlight, you're my starlight I need you, all night Come on, dance with me (I'm levitating)"
{ The Brazilian shimmies and twirls down the ramp, often stopping to give some lucky fans a hug or two. Her motion is fluid as she makes her way down to the ring, again dancing to the beats. }
"You can fly away with me tonight You can fly away with me tonight Baby, let me take you for a ride (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah) (I'm levitating) You can fly away with me tonight You can fly away with me tonight Baby, let me take you for a ride (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)..."
{ The lights fade out to a rotating green and yellow hue, with Caroline continuing to dance and pose for the cheering crowd. Eventually, the lights come back on as she gets into her MMA fighting position and waits for the match to start. }
{ The Sounds of "Enemy" start to play over the area as Charlotte steps out in her ring gear, half off her shoulders and popping a pose before she steps down towards the ring and walk up the steps throwing the robe off as she climbs a rope, jawing to the crowd all the way. }
Oh, she's sweet but a psycho A little bit psycho
{The crowd cheers when Jennie is the first to emerge from behind the curtains. She twirls her finger at the side of her head while bobbing her head back and forth with a skip in her step.}
At night she's screamin' "I'm-ma-ma-ma out my mind" Oh, she's hot but a psycho So left but she's right, though At night she's screamin' "I'm-ma-ma-ma out my mind"
{She stands atop the center of the ramp and falls down to her knees while looking around at everyone that is cheering for her then blows a kiss out to the entire audience. The crowd gets a little bit louder when Ricky Rodriguez, Jennie’s husband, comes out from behind the curtains with his arms pointing toward his wife and he gestures for the crowd to get louder. Jennie spins her head back and forth with a smile on her face before tilting her head back when Ricky stands over her, and the married couple share a kiss. She then gets back to her feet and does a cartwheel to go down the ramp before bursting with a spring in her step toward the ring until she reaches the ring and slides underneath the bottom rope. She does a sidestep around the ring to get herself warmed up while gesturing for the crowd to get louder, while Ricky circles the outside of the ring; he goes toward the timekeeper’s table, and Jennie goes to the closest ropes and hooks both of her arms around the top rope and allows herself to move backward so she is literally hanging upside down on the opposite end. Ricky knows that look, and the two share a second “Spider-Man” kiss before she pulls herself back into the ring and crouches down while waiting for the match to begin.}
Vasco Dias: This match could decide who challenges Shelly Diamond at Legacy!
Terri Morasco: I don’t know if Erin O’Ciardha would agree with that statement!
Vasco Dias: I don’t care if she agrees. I care about wins and losses and you don’t get wins if you aren’t in the ring!
Terri Morasco: Fair enough but I know Erin is watching this match very closely as well as Shelly.
{ We started things off with all three women in the center of the ring having a strike contest. Eventually it is Charolette who comes up on the losing end of this three way exchange and gets knocked down by the other two. Caroline and Jennie move in on each other. Caroline and Jennie continue the strike exchange but Jennie starts to get the upper hand so Caroline moves into a single leg takedown. Caroline goes for the mount but Jennie is able to get away. Both women are back to their feet and it’s Caroline who gets the first strike here with a quick belly to belly suplex. Jennie is right back up on her feet with a Lou Thez Press and the strike pummel. Caroline is struggling to get away as Jennie is lighting her up. However, Charlotte enters the ring and knocks Jennie off with a kick and then goes to cover Caroline. Caroline instead pulls Charolette over into a backslide pin. Jennie breaks that up with the quickness. All three women reach their feet again. Charlotte hits a toe kick on Caroline but Jennie is there with a Russian Leg Sweep on Charolette. Caroline is up with a headbutt and a scoop slam on Jennie! Caroline then deadlifts Charolette up off the mat and scoop slams her on top of Jennie. Caroline goes to cover both and both kick out at the count of one. Caroline brings Jennie to her feet and tosses her with an overhead belly to belly suplex! Jennie then comes in with the spinning head scissors takedown on Caroline! Jennie spots Charolette trying to get to her feet and grabs her with a inverted headlock backbreaker! Jennie goes for the cover on Charolette and gets a two count before Caroline breaks the cover up! }
{ Caroline and Jennie go toe to toe in the center of the ring, they reignite their strike off and just palm strike the living hell out of each other for almost a full minute to the roar of the crowd. Jennie gets the upper hand on the final strike but Caroline goes in for the double leg takedown and now it’s Caroline’s turn to hit the ground and pound on Jennie. Charlotte is back in the mix and rips Caroline off of Jennie by the hair. Jennie is quick to her feet and takes Charolette to the mat with an armdrag. Jennie keeps a hold of the arm of Charolette, then grabs the other and unleashes with arm trap kicks to the head of Armstrong. The referee is thinking about calling this one when Caroline connected with the Service Ace on Jennie! Caroline made a cover on Jennie but it was only a two count! Caroline brings Jennie to her feet but Jennie pushes her off and connects with a shin kick! Jennie then grabs Caroline with the Glasgow Smile! Caroline is fighting hard as Jennie rips at her mouth. Charlotte is back to her feet and grabs Jennie with a german suplex! Charlotte turns to face Caroline but Machado hits her with the Service Ace! Caroline goes for the cover but Jennie is there to rip Caroline off! Jennie hits the Field Goal Kick on Caroline and sends her out of the ring, Jennie grabs Charolette and hits Get Jinxed! Jennie covers Armstrong and the referee makes the count, one, two, three! }
Winner: Jennie Fenix-Rodriguez
Vasco Dias: Jennie with a big victory in this three way!
Terri Morasco: Absolutely! And you know all the women in the back had their eyes glued to the monitor for that one!
Vasco Dias: I’m sure they did. But who will challenge Shelly next!?
{ Jennie stands victorious in the ring as her music plays. }
------------------------------------ HEIR TO THE THRONE SINGLES MATCH Angel Blake vs Nick Knight ------------------------------------
{ All the lights in the arena go out as words blaze across the Imperitron. }
“Blessed are the wicked who are healed by my hands.”
{ The opening notes of the orchestra version of Gateways begins to play as flames erupt across the stage like napalm. Slowly Angel Blake begins to rise from within the flames with his arms outstretched wearing a long black coat with the birthdate of his grandson embroidered on the back. Angel throws his arms up in the air as the metal version of Gateways really kicks into gear. Flames erupt all the way down the stage and ignite the ring posts as well as the lyrics finally kick in. }
The core principle of freedom Is the only notion to obey The formula of evolution and sin Leading the way
{ Angel steps out of the flames looking over to the crowd with a terrible grin before looking toward the ring. He scowls as he begins to walk, flames erupting behind him with every step. Angel finally reaches the ring, lifting his coat to walk up the steps. He stops on the apron and looks out toward the crowd as the song blasts. Blake throws his arms out and his head back as the arena lights go up to a blinding level. Blake turns and steps into the ring with confidence heading over to the far corner. The chorus comes back around as Angel stands up on the second turnbuckle and crosses his arms over his head in an X. Blake hops down and turns his back to the corner and waits in the ring for the match to begin. }
{ Slowed down carousel music begins to play and is soon joined by unhinged laughing. Driving guitars join the fray and as the voice of Ivan Moody growls "Welcome to the Circus" Nick Knight bursts through the curtain and begins stomping his way towards the ring. }
Welcome to the shit show Just another freak show Hang your hat and hate at the door It's a game of torture Souls are made to order Everything you wanted and more
{ Knight reaches ring side as the pre-chorus begins }
You've gotta kill somebody to thrill somebody Everybody's gotta reason to bleed You've gotta fuck somebody to know somebody That motherfucker ain't me
{ He begins to clap trying to get the fans into it as the chorus begins to play. }
Am I the only one That doesn't buy into the lies? Am I the only one That doesn't wear a disguise? 'Cause if I can't break it And I can't change it Then tell me, how will I know? (Tell me, how will I?) Am I the only one That isn't just here for the show?
{ When it get to the very last line the entire arena joins in with Ivan's snarl }
WELCOME TO THE CIRCUS!!!
{ Knight stands, ready to go with Angel across the ring from him. }
Terri Morasco: This is hands down the biggest match of the tournament so far!
Vasco Dias: 100%, Terri. This could very well decide Group A.
Terri Morasco: I couldn’t agree more!
Vasco Dias: A rematch two years in the making, heir to the throne points on the line! It doesn’t get bigger than this!
{ The bell sounds and it looks like Angel is going to start things off slow but Knight isn’t feeling that and comes right at the Hall of Famer with a double leg takedown. Knight goes right into the mounted position and starts raining down forearm strikes into the face of Angel Blake who is doing his best to try and block the shots coming in. Blue Shoes is right there monitoring for Angel’s hands to drop and call this match early but the Hall of Famer hangs in there as Knight just keeps going. Angel is trying to get his legs underneath Knight so he can grab an arm and go for a triangle but Knight feels that coming and choses to instead get off of Angel. Blake is quick to his feet but Knight is there with a running knee strike to the get and a dead lift pumphandle slam backbreaker! Knight lets out a roar to the 50/50 split crowd as he turns his attention back to Angel who is starting to get up. Knight is on him and connects with a snap Saito suplex. Knight goes for the cover here but it’s only a two as Angel gets the shoulder up. Knight draws Angel back to his feet by his hair as Blue Shoes reprimands him. Angel snaps back to life at this moment hitting his signature Divine Justice leaping knee strike! Knight backs off and Angel comes in with rapid palm strikes to the face and neck of Nick Knight. But Knight is no rookie and starts firing back with his own strikes. Angel and Knight are now in a full on strike competition and eventually it is Knight who causes Angel to pull back. Knight comes in with a hard chop across the chest of Blake! Blake responds with one of his own! Now the two men start to trade chops, back and forth, back and forth until Knight hits one so hard it causes Angel to drop to a knee for a moment. A moment is all Knight needs as he grabs Angel for the La La Land Suplex! Nick goes in for the cover again but it’s once again only a two count as Angel gets his shoulder up. }
{ Nick Knight is feeling the momentum now as he brings Angel up to his feet. Nick starts to hit several knee strikes to the face of Angel, basically slamming Angel’s face into his knee over and over again. One the final knee strike, Knight follows up with a king kong lariat on Angel! Nick rips Angel up off the mat and Blake comes back with an In the name of the Lord urinage backbreaker! Angel uses the moment to back away and catch his breath. Nick is basically right back to his feet. Angel comes in looking for another Divine Justice but Knight has that one scouted and moves but Angel course corrects and hits a thrust kick! Angel then fires off two rapid palm strikes before grabbing Nick with the Revelations! Angel rolls Nick over ands goes for a cover but Knight kicks out at one! The two men get back to their feet and Angel connects with a roaring elbow and then a spinning back elbow! Angel then hits a nasty kick to the hamstring of Nick Knight and follows it right up with a spinning heel kick! Angel sends Nick across the ring and into the corner. Angel comes in with the Divine Justice and then runs Nick out of the corner of the ring with the Heaven’s Fury bulldog! Blake goes for another cover and once again Nick Knight kicks out at one! Angel has a flash of shock on his face as he gets back to his feet. Knight doesn’t even seem to feel pain as he follows Angel up. Angel connects with another kick to the hamstring of Knight and Knight comes right back with a headbutt and then a t-bone suplex! Knight pounds his chest, he wants this, he needs this. Angel is up to his feet but Knight is there with a Non Dairy Creamer half and half suplex! Knight goes for the cover, driving his elbow into the face of Angel Blake as he does it. Angel manages to kick out at two. }
{ Knight feels things turning back in his favor and pulls Angel up off the mat. Knight connects with two successive knees to the gut of Blake and then sends him into the ropes. Knight looks to hit a massive lariat but Angel gets underneath it. Angel hits the ropes and comes back with Divine Justice on Knight! Angel goes for Tara’s Wings double arm ddt but Knight reverses and instead hits Angel with a bridging suplex! Knight gets a quick two count but Angel manages to kick out of it. Both men get back to their feet and Knight cracks Angel with a hard palm strike across the face. Knight goes for another double leg takedown but Angel manages to stuff it and this time Angel manages to hit Tara’s Wings! Angel goes for the cover and this time he gets two but Knight is still able to kick out of it. Angel brings Knight to his feet but Nick hits a double palm thrust to the gut of Angel then grabs him for Welcome to Hollywood ripcord lariat! Nick Knight hooks both of Angel’s legs, confident he is going to put him away this time but Angel manages to kick out at just the last moment. Nick can smell the blood in the water now, Angel is hurting. Knight brings Angel up to his feet and starts to crack him in the head with knee strikes again before going for a pumphandle suplex but Angel hooks his legs around Knights and blocks it. Blue Shoes makes the count, he hits three and then Knight throws a shoulder up! A fraction of a second too late! }
Winner: Angel Blake
{ Angel quickly rolls out of the ring as Knight is already back up and ready for more, telling Angel to get back in and “try that again!” Angel declines as he backs up the ramp. }
Vasco Dias: Angel Blake with the win and maybe a ticket right to the Heir to the Throne finals!
Terri Morasco: We said this match could device Group A and it looks like we may just be right!
------------------------------------ HEIR TO THE THRONE SINGLES MATCH Wraith vs Stephen Terrella ------------------------------------
{The lights throughout the arena go out row by row until the arena is shrouded in absolute darkness. The lights come on and Wraith is standing in the center of the ring — in unison, the crowd let out a heavy gasp. He tilts his head back and forth, eyeing the crowd, while waiting for the match to begin.}
Vasco Dias {startled}: I still hate when he does that! Why can't he come through the curtain like a normal person does? Is he scared of ramps or something?! Where's Keybo? We need to get him on this.
Terri Morasco: I don't think Wraith is afraid of anything or anyone, including the man he's about to face tonight in our main event: Stephen Terrella.
{ The camera takes a long shot of the entryway as and the arena darkens. Smoke begins to rise from the ground atop the stage, cast in a purple hue from the lighting directly overhead as 'Disorder' begins to blare across the speakers. Terrella makes his entrance holding hands with Portia. They take a few steps before stopping to stand side-by-side on the stage, releasing hands. She places her left hand on his right shoulder and runs her right hand down his chest and abdomen as he lowers his glasses down the bridge of his nose before turning for a kiss. }
Vasco Dias: Let me tell you something, Morasco, that man right there doesn't fear Wraith, either. And why should he? He's over three hundred pounds of muscle, he has the beautiful and brilliant Portia in his corner, and the Work at his back!
Terri Morasco: I'd use different adjectives to describe Portia, but I'm well aware of your point, Vasco. I'm sure Wraith is, too.
{ Terrella re-positions his sunglasses and begins a slow walk toward the ring, arm-in-arm with Portia, to a chorus of boos. They reach the bottom of the stairs where they release arms. Terrella removes his sunglasses and vest and hands them to Portia. He surveys the arena for a few seconds with a menacing scowl before making a slow march up the stairs. Terrella walks the apron to the center of it, stopping with his left hand resting on the top rope to stare down the crowd as Portia applauds for her man from the floor. Finally he ducks under the top rope to enter the ring where he stares down Wraith. }
Terri Morasco: This match certainly has a big fight feel to it. Critical points are on the line in this one for both men, and if that wasn't already enough fuel to the fire, there is a history between them. Wraith beat Terrella in this tournament last year, and we all know how poorly Terrella handles losing.
Vasco Dias: Rub that in, Morasco, why don't you? You're just like Wraith, taking little potshots. A lot has changed since then, and we'll just see how this one goes. Wraith may think he's the uncrowned Heir, but if you come at the king, you best not miss.
{ Blue Shoes calls for the opening bell of the contest! Wraith eyes Terrella with a tilted head. The King offers up a simple middle finger, evoking no visible reaction from the former World Champion. It doesn't take long for Portia to climb the apron and start to verbally berate Wraith, which again, draws little more than the monster's eyes. Terrella tries to seize the opportunity to strike, charging in to attempt to blindside Wraith. The monster seemed to have caught a peek at the playbook, though, dumping Terrella over the top with a low bridge of the ropes as Portia can only look on. Wraith is up fast, running the ropes and launching himself like a torpedo with a suicide dive into Terrella on the outside! }
{ Wraith throws a knee into Terrella's skull to follow. He tries for a Guillotine choke, but Terrella has enough power to stand himself up and drive Wraith back-first into the post. As the ref counts, Terrella picks Wraith up and drops his throat over the railing on the outside. Looking to do more damage still, Terrella proceeds to powerbomb Wraith onto the apron! Wraith shows no anguish, but does lay motionless on the floor as the ref's count reaches "eight!" Terrella rolls back under the bottom rope to break the count, bringing himself to a knee and barking at Blue Shoes for counting. Portia takes the opportunity to interject herself while Blue is distracted by stepping on Wraith's lower back with her heel. She basks in the crowd's jeers, mockingly asking them: "is that your monster?"}
{ Stephen pushes past Blue Shoes when he notices what Portia doesn't- Wraith has rolled over and sat up behind her. The crowd roars for Wraith as Terrella goes back outside to protect his fiance. He kicks Wraith in the skull, then bounces his face off the apron. Pouring on the punishment, Terrella rams the former champion back first into the apron, then rolls him back inside. The King continues on the offensive, trying to punish Wraith with power move after power move; and he seems to get madder and madder having dominated the match for the previous seven minutes, but still having not been able to draw a single cry of anguish from Wraith. }
Terri Morasco: This match has been largely all Terrella so far, but he hasn't gone for a single cover yet. I think it's creeping into his head, too. You can see some signs of frustration.
Vasco Dias: Morasco, Wraith wanted everything Terrella has, and he's going to get everything! One lesson Tara apparently failed to teach him was to be careful what you wish for. And maybe Terrella might be getting angry, but an angry Terrella is twice as dangerous!
{ Terrella whips Wraith into the buckles with authority, setting up for the "Silver Crush"! Still not finished, the King does the same in the opposite corner! He brings Wraith out, delivering him to the canvas with the "Diffuser!" Terrella makes a sloppy cover. Blue Shoes slides down for the count… }
One!
Two!!
No!!!
{ Wraith kicks out, leaving Terrella in disbelief! The King and Portia are both yelling at Blue Shoes that it was three, even if it clearly wasn't. Terrella grabs Blue Shoes by the shirt, lifting him off the canvas in a fit of rage. Wraith sits up behind him, casting a look Terrella's way. Portia points this out to her man. Terrella turns, audibly saying: "Fuck!" Terrella releases Blue Shoes, going in on Wraith with hard left hands to the head and body. Crossing the seventeenth minute of the match, it's clear Terrella is working harder to suck in air. He puts one of his big paws around Wraith's throat, looking for a chokeslam, when Wraith looks at him as if to say: "Tell. Them." }
{ Wraith kicks at Terrella's right knee, buckling it. The former champion goes hard into Terrella's body with some fierce knee strikes. Wraith keeps going strong, using his agility to move around and throw some shoot kicks Stephen's way. Terrella fights to try and block, in addition to trying to get air. Wraith shows no mercy, however, hitting an "Ode To Aphrodite"! Terrella goes down like a sinking ship. Wraith hits a standing moonsault on his fallen foe. Portia stands on the outside distraught over how the tides have turned. She seems to make a move to start to bring herself up on the apron, but a look from Wraith sends her into retreat. Wraith stands expressionless, watching as Terrella labors to get to his feet. The crowd cheers on the Monster, chanting "You can't kill him!" And as Terrella pushes to his feet on spaghetti legs, Wraith hits him with "The Howling"! Wraith covers the King with an eye toward Portia, and Blue Shoes hits the canvas for the count… }
One!
Two!!
Three!!!
{ The bell sounds, and Wraith immediately leaves the ring. }
Vasco Dias: He took almost every single thing Terrella had… and he… he won.
Terri Morasco: Wraith said it wasn't going to be enough, and it wasn't enough. Wraith absorbed the punishment, let Terrella wear himself out and then picked him apart in the end. He picks up more points… and right now he looks unbeatable.
{ Portia crawls into the ring to tend to Terrella as the crowd continues to chant for Wraith long past his exit. }
Winner: Wraith by pinfall
