{ The show opener for Friday Night Sacrifice plays to the theme of IOU by Five Finger Death Punch showing clips of all the current champions as well as some of the biggest stars in IWF currently. As the show opening tag for Sacrifice comes to an end we are brought to the commentary booth with Vasco Dias and Terri Morasco. }Terri Morasco: Welcome to Sacrifice! I'm Terri Morasco with my broadcast partner, Vasco Dias! Vasco Dias: We've got a big night of action for you but before we get to any of that we're going to hear from the IWF Men's World Champion, Angel Blake! { On cue all the lights in the arena go out as the low tones of the orchestra version of Gateways begins to play. As the song reaches where the guitars would normally kick in the entire stage is engulfed in pyro as the song switches to the Dimmu Borgir version. When the flames subside we see Angel Blake standing on top of the stage, his tag team title on his shoulder and world title around his waist. }Vasco Dias: There he is! The one and only four time Men's World Champion in company history! Terri Morasco: Angel Blake survived the Extinction Event and now it's a question of who will challenge him next!? Vasco Dias: It could be anyone, Terri! { Angel slowly makes his way to the ring as the crowd cheers for him. Angel takes his time walking up the steps before posing on the apron. He throws his arms out and the lights all return. Angel sneers before entering the ring, a mic in his hand. The music fades out}Angel Blake: One week ago I stepped into the Extinction Event as the IWF World Champion... AND I STEPPED OUT STILL IWF WORLD CHAMPION! { Angel unstraps his title and holds both belts up for the crowd. }Terri Morasco: It was a hellacious match but he survived! Vasco Dias: Absolutely! Like he always does! { Angel looks into the hard cam. }Angel Blake: Now the question is... Who challenges me next!? { The crowd pops and various names are yelled out but one rises above them all. Nick Knight. Angel's pale, painted face twists into the signature terrible smile. }Angel Blake: I see who the crowd wants to challenge me... I can't say I disagree with them... Nick Knight is an amazing competitor, one I've battled before and I one I look forward to battling again. BUT! He needs to reach ten successful title defenses first. Can he do it? I certainly hope so. Vasco Dias: Angel throwing down the gauntlet for Nick Knight! Terri Morasco: I would love to see that match! Angel Blake: But if he fails that leaves me without a challenger... I know there is someone in the back... Someone hungry... Someone who wants to take these from me! { Angel holds his titles up again. }Angel Blake: Whoever you are... Singles.... Tag Team... Don't wait too long... DO NOT KEEP ME WAITING! { Angel drops the mic as Gateways kicks back in to large cheers from the crowd. }Vasco Dias: Angel just put the whole roster on notice! Terri Morasco: Will Nick Knight be the one to challenge him? What about the tag team titles? Maybe we'll find out tonight! Vasco Dias: That's right. Nick Knight will be in action! We have a tag team contest! Wraith in singles competition and our first match of the evening! Terri Morasco: Miyamoto takes on local talent, Uchida! { We had to a quick break before our first match. }------------------------------------ SINGLES MATCH Miyamoto vs Daisuke Uchida (Local talent) ------------------------------------
Terri Morasco: A local talent has decided to take a match against an IWF Star.
Vasco Diaz: I have to deal with the Anime Boy today. Ugh!
Terri Morasco: It isn't that bad.
Allison Vance: Introducing first, from Fukuoka, Japan, Daisuke Uchida!
{Daisuke walks down the ramp, bowing and high fiving the fans.}
Allison Vance: Introducing his opponent from Houston, Texas, Miyamoto Okazaki!
{Bluebird plays as the crowd sings along. Miyamoto walks out smiling ear to ear as he sings with the crowd. He, finally, makes his way to the ring and gets in as the last climax of the song is happening.}
Terri Morasco: It seems this more of a homefield advantage for Miyamoto than Daisuke.
Vasco Diaz: {pulls out cotton from his ears} What did you say? Is it over yet?
{The bell rings and two men tie up. Daisuke pushes Miyamoto back into the corner but Miyamoto falls back and monkey flips Daisuke into the corner with him landing in the tree of woe. Miyamoto gets up and walks over to Daisuke. Miyamoto mouths something as he helps him down. The crowd applaud this action.}
Vasco Diaz: Just destroy him. He was stuck.
Terri Morasco: It's great to see such respect.
Vasco Diaz: No. In true Japanese fashion, Miyamoto is a baka.
{The two reset and charge each other then darkness. A white hand appears on the tron and in the ring as a light. Druids walk out as the main Robed one walks out. The druids set up a podium at the base of the ramp, right outside the ring. The candelabras surround the ring. Again, a raspy but deep voice hits your ears.}
Robed: Miyamoto. I have come to try to convince you once again. Come follow the Doctrine. Help Alek. Help yourself. Fate has opened her arms to you.
{Miyamoto shake his head and starts yelling at the Robed one. Daisuke walks up furious at the Robed one as well. He drops to the floor and starts walking towards the Robed one. A boot flies out of the tallest robe. Connecting with the jaw of Daisuke as he appears to be knocked out. Miyamoto's face has a shocked look as he checks on Daisuke. Miyamoto gets in the tall robe's face then stops as he backs up.}
Robed: You know who is here. Our family. Fate's family. Alek. Reveal yourself.
{The tall robe's hood falls back as Alek is shown. His hair cut short and his face clean shaven. A white hand print on his face. He stares at Miyamoto. Miyamoto shakes his head.}
Robed: His transformation isn't complete. He needs you.
{Miyamoto just stares at the Robed one. Alek brings out a microphone.}
Alek: I need you, buddy. Help me. This {he motions to the druids and the Robed one} has helped me. I still desire your support. I need my best friend beside me.
{Miyamoto, confusion on his face, grabs the microphone out of Alek's hand}
Miyamoto: I do not like this. You've changed too much in so short of a time. This gives me Tokyo Ghoul vibes.
Alek: {grabs the mic back} Then watch me. I want your advice. Beside me, you can help control my actions. Trust me. For now. You do not have to trust the Doctrine yet. Just me.
Vasco Diaz: Can we get back to fighting yet?
Terri Morasco: Really?
{Miyamoto slowly approaches Alek and hugs him}
Robed: Good. Very good. Very mysterious, we have been. Soon the people will know me then the people will know the Doctrine.
{The screen fades to black as the white hand print appears on your screen.}
Vasco Diaz: So who won?
Allison Vance: Technically Daisuke did.
------------------------------------ TAG TEAM MATCH 3K RP Limit Per Tag Team Double Deez vs The Striking Unit ------------------------------------
{ The arena lights begin to strobe red and pink as Walk by Avenged Sevenfold hits the PA. The crowd erupts into boos as Rob and Chris Diamond make their way onto the ramp. Rob takes center stage as he hits a crotch chop while Chris towers over and behind him with that barbed wire baseball bat resting on his shoulder. The two of them then head down toward the ring. Rob rolls in under the bottom rope while Chris takes the steps. Rob heads to a corner and climbs up onto the second turnbuckle while Chris steps up onto the second rope besides him. Rob hits another crotch chop as pyro explodes out of two ring posts making an X while Chris points out into the crowd with his bat. The two of them then get down and get ready for their match to begin. }
Terri Morasco: The Diamond brothers are set for tag-team action tonight.
Vasco Dias: I don't understand why these people in Japan aren't booing them...?!
Terri Morasco: It's not exactly a part of the culture around here. You'll hear a few "ooh's" and "ahhh's" here and there, but just because they stay silent doesn't mean they aren't engaged in the matches.
{ āBulls On Paradeā by Rage Against The Machine comes on with the lights turning red. Nick Danger and RAM come out onto the entrance ramp wearing red and grey wrestling attire and shirts that say āThe Striking Unitā they make their way down the ramp giving fans high fives. They both walk up the steel steps having serious looks on their faces and entering the middle rope. Nick goes to the corner and takes off his shirt and throws it to the crowd, so does RAM. They both wait for the match to start. }
Vasco Dias: I don't believe these guys have much of a chance.
Terri Morasco: RAM and Nick Danger have only been tagging together for a few weeks.
Vasco Dias: Well I'm already seeing some dissension on Nick Danger's part.
[DING!]
{ To say the least, his was an entertaining match that got the Japanese crowd jazzed. Both teams would give it their absolute best in a contest that lasted around 13 minutes. RAM was the primary star for the Striking Unit, surprising the more experienced Rob Diamond with a vicious assault that nearly scored him a two-cunt before Chris broke up the pin. Tags were made, and Nick Danger became the recipient of several of Chris' more power-based moves -- including a T-bone suplex that scored a two-count from Blue Shoes. Chaos would ensue as all four men wound up brawling in the ring and out for several minutes. Eventaully, Rob was able to get the best of Nick Danger -- after brother Chris chucked RAM to the arena floor -- leading the Diamonds to apply the dreaded DOUBLE PENETRATION on Danger! RAM tried valiantly to pull himself back into the bring, but he was too late as Blue Shoes makes the three-count at 13:20! }
------------------------------------ SEGMENT The Blame Game ------------------------------------
{ The instrumental to Blue Stahliās āThe Fallā hits as Charlie Van Ruth steps out onto the stage. He looks around at the Japan crowd before nodding his head and strolling down to the ring. Grabbing a microphone along the way, he steps through the ropes and begins to speak as the music dies down. }
Van Ruth: āSo letās talk about the elephant in the room. You might be wondering what Iām doing out here by myself, but most of you are smart enough to know why Iām here alone. At Survival of the Fittest, Tyson and I came up short. I threw in the towel and I am not ashamed to admit that. When I put the tag titles up against the wellness of a man who is basically a brother to me, I know what choice Iām making every time. It turns out that the damage done to Tyson was worse than we thought. Heās going to be out for a while, but I can assure that heās at home and doing well. He wanted me to tell all of you that heāll be back and the Kings of Flight will be back in full force. And I personally have a little message for our tag team championsā¦ā
{ He leans over the ropes and looks down the barrel of the camera. }
Van Ruth: āAngel. Wraith. This is not over between us. What you did to my partner, my brother, thatās unforgivable. It may be a while before the Kings of Flight challenge for those titles again, but I am telling you this right now. When I get my hands on you, there is no God that you can pray to that can save you from me. As for the time being, I guess Iāll have to do this whole wrestling thing by myself. What does that mean for me? Iām not really sure. But sometimes, what the future holds is-ā
: āBlah, blah, blah, blah. Are you kidding me?ā
{ Out walks Caleb Cannin, looking more annoyed than usual. He marches down the stage and into the ring, coming face-to-face with Van Ruth. He twirls the microphone in his hand before speaking again. }
Cannin: āListen here, numbnuts. You think that having a little cry over your partner is going to change the fact that you lost all of us those championships? We had it in the bag, man! Those two with their face paint and dyed hair, you can call them Circus Immortalis, because theyāre clowns! You couldnāt handle them? Let it be known to the rest of you idiots that I never got beat! I never threw in that towel! I would have walked out of Canada as your IWF Television Championā¦ if it wasnāt for you.ā
{ Cannin shakes his head at Van Ruth. }
Van Ruth: āHold on, hold on. You came out here to do what you do bestā¦ talk trash without doing a damn thing! I own up to the fact that I threw in that towel. Iāll own up to the fact that I lost that opportunity for our team. Iāll own up to the fact that I let some people down that night. If you want me to feel bad for letting you down, I think it couldnāt have happened to a nicer guy. You can sit on your soapbox and tell everybody that you are The Future, that you deserve some respect around here. That doesnāt mean that people have to give you that respect. I donāt care who or what you are. If you are as good in the ring as you are outside of it, then you can have my respect. Right now, all I see is a punk-ass kid who thinks he should be given things instead of earning them himself. Thatās what I see outside of this ring. Inside that ring? Iāll give you your due. Youāve got a bright mind with a great ring IQ, but sooner or later, somebody is going to kick your ass and shut your mouth for you.ā
{ Cannin tilts his head and squints his eyes at Van Ruth, disbelief displayed across his face. He reverts back to a smirk, keeping up a wall of cockiness. }
Cannin: āYou think thatās going to happen, huh? Somebody is going to shut my mouth? Buddy, if I had a dollar for every j-brone that told me that, I would already be retired. The fact is that Iām still standing here and quickly becoming one of the best talents on this roster. But you? If you think you could last more than a week in my ring, you are higher than your team name would suggest. You couldnāt even hold down a partner who could last more than a couple months without blowing out his knee. Why donāt you do me a favor? Take that towel you threw in and use it to wipe Tysonās ass, ācause lord knows he canāt do it without crippling himself even further. Now, go on, skedaddle, see ya, bye-bye. This is Cannin promo time, which means it is highlight reel time!ā
{ He waves a dismissive hand at a fuming Van Ruth before turning his attention to the crowd. With his back turned, Charlie slinks into the corner and waits for a moment. With anticipation building, the Fukuoka crowd is restless. }
Cannin: āOnto a more important issue, I was never pinned nor submitted at Survival of the Fit-ā
{ As soon as Caleb Cannin turns back around, Van Ruth explodes out of the corner and nails The Future with a Cyclone Kick! Cannin is laid out on the mat as Charlie hunkers down next to him. He gives a look to the crowd before scaling up the turnbuckles, spreading his arms out wide. Meanwhile, Cannin gingerly rolls out of the ring, dazed and shocked at the attack. He scampers back up the ramp, glaring at Van Ruth as he soaks in the reception.}
------------------------------------ SINGLES MATCH 2k RP Word Limit Pax Stormcrow vs Wraith ------------------------------------
{ The lights in the arena dim, and there is the sound of a powerup collected in an old video game system. At the sound, the crowd leap to their feet with cheers. A beat is laid out, filling the arena with the sounds of a Midi file. The lights pulse in time with the music. As they flash as the beat trembles, an explosion of sparks rocks the entrance stage. Pax walks out onto the stage, looking around as the crowd bursts into cheers. He gives a smirk as the chanting on Suplex by A Tribe Called Red kicks in. }
Terri Morasco: As Pax makes his way to the ring, I want to ask you, Vascoā¦ because I've seen fans asking the question on social media: do you think Pax's head is in the game right now?
Vasco Dias: It damn sure better be. He's seconds away from standing toe-to-toe with Wraith, who is one of the most dangerous competitors in this sport. Wraith can hurt you in a lot of different ways. And as good as Pax is -as much talent as he has- if he's not focused, it could end real badly for him.
{ He stands at the top of the ramp, lifting his right fist into the air with his head down, bobbing his hooded head along with the music before marching down to the ring. He slides into the ring and jumps onto the second turnbuckle, throwing his hood off and hyping up the crowd with yells before slipping his coat off and letting it fall to the ground. }
Terri Morasco: And now we await his opponentā¦
Vasco Dias: Hold me, Morasco.
Terri Morasco: What?
Vasco Dias: What?
{ The lights throughout the arena go out row by row until the arena is shrouded in absolute darkness. The lights come on and Wraith is standing in the center of the ring ā in unison, the crowd let out a heavy gasp. He tilts his head back and forth, eyeing the crowd, while waiting for the match to begin. }
Vasco Dias: I hate that! It gets all dark and creepyā¦ and I spilled my water in my lap.
Terri Morasco: Water. Uh huh, right.
Vasco Dias: Don't you look at me like that, Morasco. I know what it looks like, but I wasn't that scared. Lets talk about Wraith.
Terri Morasco: He's been undeniable as of late. He's one half of our World Tag Team champions with Angel Blakeā¦ and from everything we've seen, he could be looking for more gold.
Vasco Dias: He was looking at Nick Knight's television title after Extinction the same way I look at a well prepared steak- with longing. And if that wasn't clear enough, the back-and-forth on Twitter made his intentions clear.
{ Referee Tommy Knocker calls for the opening bell! Wraith stands in the middle of the ring, head cocked, staring down Pax Stormcrow. Pax isn't waiting around for the fight to begin, though. He dives into Wraith with a double leg takedown, bringing Wraith to the mat. The former Olympic hopeful uses his amateur wrestling skills to keep Wraith there for the first three minutes of the contest, thwarting Wraith's escape attempts at every turn. With each move the combatants draw closer to the ropes, however. Pax tries to turn Wraith into a pinning position with an amateur wrestling style cradle, only to hear the referee yell: "ropes!" Stormcrow releases the pin attempt, shaking his head as if he couldn't believe he lost track of his ring positioning. }
{ Pax grabs Wraith around the waist, looking for a belly-to-back suplex out of the gutwrench. Wraith counters with a hard back elbow to Pax's temple, though. That creates some slack in Pax's grip. Stormcrow tries to draw Wraith back tight, but catches another elbow to the same spot. This shot breaks Pax's grip. Wraith turns and fires on Pax with some shoot kicks to Pax's left leg. The slaps of boot against leg echo throughout the arena. Hobbled, but not downed, Pax explodes into Wraith with an European uppercut. Wraith answers with a knee strike to Pax's midsection area. Stormcrow pushes through the pain to deliver another European uppercut! Then another! Wraith keeps his feet, absorbing the blows with little visible signs of pain. Each blow jolts his body, however. Wraith goes in with another knee! He follows with another blistering kick to Pax's leg! The two warriors stand and trade, each refusing to give an inch of ground- each refusing to go down. It's Wraith that finally gains the upper hand though with a sitout jawbreaker! }
{ Wraith maintains control, splaying Pax's left leg out on the canvas and holding it there by placing a boot on Pax's lower leg. Wraith strikes with a targeted knee drop, landing it just above Pax's knee. In a world of pain, Stormcrow grabs at his leg. He will get no quarter, however. Wraith drags him by the leg after a hard tug, distancing the two from the ropes. When he finds his place on the canvas he likes, Wraith drops down and locks Pax Stormcrow into a heel hook! }
Terri Morasco: Wraith is systematically tearing apart the leg of Pax Stormcrow! Pax is in serious trouble!
Vasco Dias: That move puts so much pressure on the knee and ankle, Morasco! Ligaments and tendons are getting stretccchhed and ripped in there! He's going to have to tap!
Terri Morasco: Tommy Knocker is checking in with Pax, but so far he seems steadfast in his refusal not to!
Vasco Dias: Wraith is trying to twist Pax's leg off in order to force him to!
{ Stormcrow continues to refuse to submit, emphatically shaking his head no. He starts to try and push his way up, forcing Wraith onto his shoulder where it becomes harder to apply pressure. The heel finally pops free, and Pax drives some hard elbows down into what are now Wraith's exposed ribs! This creates some separation, allowing Pax to push himself away, dragging his leg. Wraith, on the other hand, is up fairly quickly. Wraith moves in, and Pax throws a few upkicks in his direction to try to keep him off. Wraith works to catch Pax's leg, finally getting hold of the good one. Stormcrow uses both legs to shove Wraith off, though. Once more Wraith is up quickly. This time Pax buries a right hand into his stomach before hoisting Wraith up for an Olympic slam. But the knee on Pax buckles, and he doesn't quite catch all of the move. It is enough to give Pax a moment to try to tend his knee. }
{ Stormcrow begins to try to will himself to his feet, blocking out the pain. Wraith sits up behind him, looking toward Pax with a tilted head. Pax tries to come in with a kick to Wraith's chest but the Monster catches the kick and twists Pax to the canvas by his leg. Wraith goes on the offensive, stalking Pax in between hitting various suplexes. The last suplex, an underhook variety, lands Pax in the middle of the ring. Wraith backs into the corner, waiting for Pax to get up, expressionless. Stormcrow valiantly pushes through the pain, battling to his feet. Wraith goes for the Genocide Kick, but Pax ducks! Pax puts a boot into Wraith's stomach, and immediately looks for a sitout powerbombā but Wraith counters it at its height by turning it into a Hurricanrana! Wraith takes Pax by the arm, pulling him upā¦ only to take him to the canvas with a flying omoplata!... Pax tries to look for an escape, but Wraith transitions into the Gogoplata! }
Terri Morasco: Wraith has the Gogoplata locked in! And it's locked in deep!
Vasco Dias: Pax is trying to fight it, but where is he going to go?! He's caught! And with one bad wheelā¦ it's going to be tap or nap!
Terri Morasco: I think he's going out! The referee is lifting his armā¦ and that's it! He's out!
{ Tommy Knocker calls for the bell. Tommy taps Wraith on the shoulder a few times to get him to relinquish his grip, and he does. Pax's body falls backwards with a shove. The lights go out. When they come back up Wraith is gone. }
Winner: Wraith by referee stoppage
------------------------------------ SEGMENT Status update ------------------------------------
{ We come back from the break in the IWF interview are where Keybo Shabaz stands ready with a mic in hand. }
Keybo Shabaz: Ladies and gentlemen, it is my pleasure at this time to introduce to you the former and longest reigning IWF Women's World Champion of all time, Shelly Diamond!
{ The camera pan back to see Shelly standing next to Keybo. }
Keybo Shabaz: Shelly, it's been a minute since we've seen you on IWF television. The rumor mill has been swirling about an injury, would you care to speak on that?
{ Shelly cracks her neck to one side before speaking. }
Shelly Diamond: Yeah, the rumors are true. I got pretty banged up in the inaugural Invictus Championship match not to mention the battle with Tara only a week or so before. So yeah, I've been nursing a little injury.
Keybo Shabaz: And what is the times table on your return?
Shelly Diamond: Well I'm glad you asked such an obvious question, Keybo, it's clear why they pay you minimum wage.
{ Shelly takes the mic from Keybo's hand and shoves him out of the shot. }
Shelly Diamond: My shoulders tweaked, the docs said without a few weeks rest it could be something serious. Well, I've been benched for a couple weeks now and this shoulder is starting to feel pretty goddamn good. So I'm throwing out an open challenge to anyone on the women's roster, the next Sacrifice. If you want to step up to the best you know where to find me.
{ Shelly flips the mic over her shoulder before walking out of the shot. }
------------------------------------ IWF WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP 1500 RP Word Limit John Blade vs Nick Knight ------------------------------------
Alison Valance: Fukuoka this your main event, and it is for the World Television Championship!!! Introducing first the challenger, he stands six feet three inches tall weights in at two hundred and sixty pounds. He is āThe Doctor of Thuganomicā John Blade!!!
{ "The Time is Now" ft Trademarc brings John Blade, accompanied by Danielle Blade, down to the ring to an extremely loud ovation from the sold out crowd. }
Teri Morasco: Even in Japan the crowds love John Blade.
Vasco Dias: Yeah, but this crowd is so hungry for real professional wrestling that they cheered the guys that sweep the ring between matches.
Alison Valance: And is opponent, stands six feet two inches tall, and weights in at two hundred and forty-five pounds. He is the reigning and defense World Television Champion āThe Hollywood Butcherā Nick Knight!!!
{ Slowed down carousel music begins to play and is soon joined by unhinged laughing. Driving guitars join the fray and as the voice of Ivan Moody growls "Welcome to the Circus" Nick Knight bursts through the curtain and begins stomping his way towards the ring. }
Welcome to the shit show Just another freak show Hang your hat and hate at the door It's a game of torture Souls are made to order Everything you wanted and more
{ Knight reaches ring side as the pre-chorus begins }
You've gotta kill somebody to thrill somebody Everybody's gotta reason to bleed You've gotta fuck somebody to know somebody That motherfucker ain't me
{ He begins to clap trying to get the fans into it as the chorus begins to play. }
Am I the only one That doesn't buy into the lies? Am I the only one That doesn't wear a disguise? 'Cause if I can't break it And I can't change it Then tell me, how will I know? (Tell me, how will I?) Am I the only one That isn't just here for the show?
{ When it get to the very last line the entire arena joins in with Ivan's snarl }
WELCOME TO THE CIRCUS!!!
Vasco Dias: They might cheer for John Blade, but they can probably hear the crowd all the way in China right now. Nick Knight is a Japanese death match legend and he is loved all over this country.
Teri Morasco: This is the loudest I have ever heard a crowd cheer for āThe Hollywood Butcher.ā
{The action starts off hot and heavy with Blade using his twenty-five pound advantage to push Nick around the ring. Tired of being manhandled, Knight takes a shortcut by thumbing the good doctor in the eye before sending him crashing to the floor. Grinning from ear to ear the TV Champ rolls out of the ring and sets to dissecting John Blade. "The Hollywood Butcher" begins by whipping Blade into the barricade on each side of the ring until the younger man can barely stand.}
Vasco Dias: This is the viciousness that we've seen from Nick Knight the past couple of months.
Teri Morasco: He has absolutely nothing to lose by bending the rules. Even if he gets disqualified he doesn't lose the championship.
{Staying on the attack Nick lifts Blade up and drops him throat first on the railing before driving him skull first into the padded floor with a snap Saito suplex. Realizing John is on dream street Knight rolls his opponent into the ring and makes a coverā¦
Oneā¦ Twoā¦ Thrā¦
Somehow John Blade kicks out!}
Vasco Dias: I don't think there's a person in this arena that thought John Blade was going to kick out.
Teri Morasco: You have to give him credit for digging deep and finding that extra bit of energy. I don't think he could have done that a month ago.
{Slightly annoyed at Blade for having the balls to kick out, Nick gets right to his feet. "The Hollywood Butcher" lifts his opponent up off of the mat by a handful of hair before planting him on the top of his melon with Banned In Memphis.
Knight hooks the near leg and makes a coverā¦
Oneā¦ Twā¦
John Blade emphatically kicks out!!!}
Vasco Dias: We've seen that look in Nick Knightās eyes before, and it usually means someone is leaving on a stretcher.
{Wasting no time Knight lifts John Blade up and yet again drops him cranium first on the canvas with Banned In Memphis '22. Not bothering with hooking a leg the Champ makes a lateral pressā¦
Oneā¦ Twoā¦ Threā¦
Blade gets his shoulder up at the very last moment!!!}
Vasco Dias: Judging by the look on Nick Knightās face the "Doctor of Thuganomic" just signed his own death certificate.
Teri Morasco: You have to be impressed by John Bladeās gutty performance. I think he heard Knight say that he's not the future of IWF, and want to prove the Television Champion wrong.
font color="#96979b"]{Rage burning deep in his eyes Nick pulls his challenger to his feet by his ear before locking on the La La Land. The match was over almost instantly as John Blade is forced to tap out.}
Vasco Dias: Nick Knight just won his eighth title defense in convincing manner.
Teri Morasco: I give credit to John Blade for putting up one heck of a fight.
{Inside the ring Knight toes John Blade in the ribs until he rolls from the ring and collapses to the floor. Taking his title belt and a microphone from Alison Valance.}
Nick Knight: God Damn it feels good to be knocking on history's doorstep. One more title defense and there will be no doubt in anyone's mind that I am the greatest World Television Champion ever, as if there should be.
I'm the only man to ever possess this beautiful belt twice. I have the most successful title defenses total, and just one more win and I will have completed the most dominant three months in the history of the sport of professional wrestling.
The only problem is that I just don't feel like I've had a signature win during this record reign. I have faced nothing but rejects, also rans, and not quite ready for prime time players. I was beginning to think that I was just going to waltz into a match with Angel Blake, until I was scrolling through Twitter one night.
There tucked in with all the cute selfies he likes so much was this tweet from Sabin.
I saw absolutely no dilemma at all. Just an opportunity to finally get a title defense I could be really proud of, but I wasn't going to go off half cocked like last time I faced Sabin. I made a huge fucking mistake last time, and let my ego get in the way.
I thought that I was better than him in every single way, so I let him choose the match type. A submission match was never going to be my strength, but I was blinded by hubris. Not this time though, because if he wants a shot at being World Television Champion he'd have to play by my rules.
What are those rules you ask, well it's kind of a specialty of mine. I made a lot of money having matches like this all over Japan, and what better place to do one last one than the Tokyo Dome. So what we'll do is take down the ring ropes and wrap a few strands of barbed wire all around the ring. Then will hang some explosives from the barbed wire to up the ante a little, maybe some C4 boards in each corner. Then if that's not enough insanity we wire the ring with explosives set to a twenty minute timer. If there's no winner in twenty minutes the whole fucking thing goes boom.
That's my offer Sabin. If you want to take this belt from me you have to be willing to put everything on the line. You have to be willing to orphan that new baby of yours, because I'm more than ready to leave my family behind to stay TV Champion. Frankly the only way you're taking this belt from me is by prying it out of my cold dead hands.
See you in Tokyo if you've got the balls.
{Knight spikes the mic as the credits roll.}
