SAITAMA - Here we go again.
Japanese wrestling columnist Noriyuki Obata, working for a Tokyo-based independent newsletter, doubled down on his derisive comments about IWF superstar R.A. Marshall, suggesting that he didn't push himself hard enough in several of his previous matches -- including last year's Extinction Event. He also made some comments about James Gilmore that many insiders have deemed to be "grossly inappropriate" -- including the suggestion that the heart attack he suffered after the New Years' Sacrifice show had been staged.
At Metamorphosis this past Sunday in Saitama, the fireworks truly began to explode.
RAM -- affectionally called that nickname by his peers because of his brute force and love for all things computers -- wrestled in a gauntlet match during the preshow segment. After the match was over, after eventual winner Mai Everstone had made her exit, a visibly agitated Marshall spotted Mr. Obata sitting at ringside, tweeting on his iPhone, and confronted the rogue reporter as a lone IWF camera kept rolling. The two got into a screaming match that became further exacerbated when Fiona McFly, RAM's co-trainer and IWF Hall of Famer who was working the show as a road agent, rushed to RAM's defense.
What you are about to see is that viral moment taking place as it happened.
