------------------------------------ THREE ON ONE MATCH Wraith vs Mr. Pig, Mr. Wig and Mr. Dig ------------------------------------
Alison Valance: The following handicap contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, currently in the ring, the team of Mr. Pig, Mr. Wig and Mr. Dig!
{ All three men put their hands in in a show of solidarity. }
Vasco Dias: We didn't just scrape the bottom of the barrel. We lifted the barrel up, dug a hole and pulled these guys out. I haven't heard of any of them!
Terri Morasco: Mr Wig is the one with the toupee, I think. They may not be the most accomplished competitors, but there are still three of them going up against just one man: Wraith. We've seen Stephen Terrella gaining some backstage influence already, and I can't help but wonder if he had something to do with this as a way to try to punish Tara.
Vasco Dias: He would never, ever do such a thing, Morasco! The slander coming out of your mouth is terrible!
{ The lights throughout the arena go out row by row until the arena is shrouded in absolute darkness. The lights come on and Wraith is standing in the center of the ring — in unison, the crowd let out a heavy gasp. He tilts his head back and forth, eyeing the three men he will be facing, while waiting for the match to begin. }
Alison Valance: And their opponent… he is one half of the IWF World Tag Team Champions… Wraith!
{ Mr. Wig, Mr. Pig and Mr. Dig nervously size up Wraith. }
Vasco Dias: Mr. Dig is clearly the leader, and smartest of the bunch, because he wore brown trunks.
Terri Morasco: Wraith doesn't appear the least bit phased despite the odds clearly being stacked against him.
{ The official for this contest, Tommy Knocker, calls for the opening bell. }
Ding!
{ Mr. Pig and the very large Mr. Dig shove Mr. Wig forward. Wraith places a well-timed "Genocide Kick" right underneath Mr. Wig's chin, knocking the toupee clean off Mr. Wig's head! Wraith reaches down, pulling Mr. Wig to his feet, and delivers a devastating "Lights Out"! Mr. Pig and Mr. Dig remain in the corner, terrified. }
Terri Morasco: That could've gone better for the local boys.
Vasco Dias: It sure as hell couldn't have gone worse! Does the toupee count as a fourth man, though? Look at the volume on that thing.
{ Mr. Pig steps forward, attempting to take a more peaceful approach by offering his hand to Wraith to shake. Wraith looks down at it, head tilted to the side, completely expressionless. His stare rises to meet Mr. Pig in the eyes, which suddenly has Mr. Pig internally second-guessing his approach. In the blink of an eye, Wraith hits Mr. Pig with the "Howling", drawing a huge pop from the crowd! Two of the three men lay flat on the canvas, and Wraith's gaze turns toward Mr. Dig. }
Terri Morasco: This is turning into a slaughter.
Vasco Dias: The big guy is still standing in the corner, though. Mr. Dig has got to be pushing four hundred pounds. And no, I don't know how many stones that is. Don't ask me.
{ Suddenly a buzz begins to generate in the crowd. The Black Widow walks down the ramp, chair in hand. Wraith turns his attention toward her, watching as she casually makes her way to ringside and sets the chair up backwards. She takes a seat, her head tilting to mirror Wraith's. Mr. Dig seizes the opportunity to charge at Wraith, taking him down with a running shoulder tackle. Mr Dig turns to the Widow, flexing his rather unremarkable bicep. She licks her lips with a smile, directing Mr. Dig to look behind him. Wraith has sat up! }
Vasco Dias: Mr Dig, now would be a good time to run!
Terri Morasco: The Black Widow has made her presence known, and you'd have to think this is some type of mind game on her part. She's proved to be as much of a distraction to Mr. Dig as she has Wraith, though.
{ Mr. Dig takes the Widow's cue, turning around to try and charge at Wraith again. Wraith easily takes Mr. Dig down with a drop toe hold, however. Mr Dig tries to push himself up off the canvas, but Wraith wastes no time locking in a Fujiwara Armbar! Mr Dig immediately taps out in the submission, but Wraith's gaze is fixed on the Widow. Tommy Knocker calls for the bell. }
Ding! Ding! Ding!
{ Widow mouths the words: "Break it" to Wraith, and then folds her arms atop the back of the chair so she can rest her chin on top. Wraith transitions the hold into a cross armbar, and Mr. Dig screams in anguish. The Monster continues to apply pressure until Mr. Dig's elbow pops! The official tries to pull Wraith off, but he refuses to let go! }
Terri Morasco: Wraith has snapped that arm!
Vasco Dias: He's not letting go of that hold, either!
{ The Widow smiles with delight at the carnage unfolding before her eyes. Wraith finally relinquishes the hold after the referee threatens to reverse the decision. Mr Dig clutches his broken elbow. Wraith rolls backwards off the hold, making direct eye contact with the Widow off the roll. The Black Widow pushes the chair out from underneath herself, and starts to back up the ramp with a smile. Wraith watches her momentarily before the lights go out. When the lights come back on, both Wraith and the Widow are gone. }
Terri Morasco: We're going to need to get some help out here for these men after witnessing one of the strangest scenes we've seen in awhile.
{ The show cuts to a commercial break. }
------------------------------------ SINGLES MATCH 1500 Word Limit Mia Everstone vs Sorcha Wynn ------------------------------------
Alison Valance: the following match is scheduled for one fall!
Terri Morasco: Here we have two women who are both what one might call theater kids going at it in the middle of the ring.
Vasco Dias: Usually you have to have an onlyfans for that.
{The guitars of "Until Our Worlds Align" start to echo across the arena as Mist fills the entryway before Sorcha rises up from the floor. Stepping out smoothly dressed in a long cloak, ring gear underneath before she walks down the entryway , climbing the steps and kneeling in the middle of the ring to mutter some of prayer, rising and discarding the cloak jacket and move to the corner, kneeling one again to mutter at her chosen corner and then face the ring center}
Alison Valance: First down to the ring, standing at 5'8'' and weighing in at 155 pounds from Ayr, Scotland... Sorcha Wynne!
Terri Morasco: Sorcha has made a splash since her return. I am very excited to see how this match shakes out.
Vasco Dias: Sorcha is hard to understand sometimes but you can't deny what she gets done in the ring.
{ The words rip through the stadium as "The Bird and The Worm" hits as the lights dim to a dark purple. A grey like smoke rising on the ramp way as the form of Mai comes up onto the stage with videos of Crows playing on the screen behind her. She waves with a large smile. She skips happily down the ramp, stop to wave at the fans and taking a selfie with some doing a silly face before making it down to the ring. The lights begin to flicker red in the purple as she stops at the steps.
As it looks like she’s about to climb the steps she jumps onto the top rope with ease. Mai’s hands extending out to the crowd as she grin wide. She puts her hands down on the top rope as she looks around the ring and she begins to lift herself up onto the rope before flipping back onto her feet where she howls out at the crowd. Pyro explodes from every corner in a brilliant green light as the lights turn back to normal. }
Alison Valance: Next down to the ring, standing at 5'2'' weighing in at 101 pounds from Spanish Fork, Utah... Mai Everstone!
Terri Morasco: Mai certainly has not been quiet since she's come into IWF.
Vasco Dias: Neither by word or outfit.
{As soon as the bell rings Mai hits Sorcha with a spinning heel kick to sorcha's midsection. Sorcha responds with a leg kick followed by a capture suplex. Mai gets away briefly with a hair toss followed by a rolling forearm.}
Terri Morasco: Neither of these women are going at this with out putting all in.
Vasco Dias: Nor should they. Even with the possibility that the Women's tag team belt could change hands by the end of the night it is not out of the possibility it could be up for grabs in the Iron Maiden soon.
{Sorcha grabs Mai and hits her with a german suplex. Mai tries to get away but Sorcha hits her with a spinebuster followed by a Witching Hour. She goes for the pin 1 2 kick out!}
Terri Morasco: That was close.
Vasco Dias: But not close enough.
{ Mai rolls out of the ring to catch her breath for a moment, before getting back in with a springboard hurricarana. As Sorcha gets back up, Mai hits her with a headbutt knocking her flat. Going for the pin 1 kickout!}
Terri Morasco: Mai really tried to make that stick.
Vasco Dias: But Sorcha is not going down without more done.
{Sorcha hits Mai with some forearm strikes followed by a knee drop. Sorcha backs off slightly waiting for Mai to get back up. Sorcha hits her with a spinebuster and then a Riastád.}
Terri Morasco: OW!
Vasco Dias: That looked rough.
{Sorcha smiled before taking Mai into a BANRIGH DHEARG!}
Terri Morasco: Oh this could be it!
{ Sorcha goes for the pin 1 2 3!!}
Alison Valance: Your winner... SORCHA WYNNE!
Terri Morasco: Sorcha did it! Her winning streak continues!
Vasco Dias: It does indeed.
{Sorcha leans down and offers Mai her hand. Mai takes it and is pulled back to her feet. Mai lets go but Sorcha offers her hand again with a smile. The two shake hands. Sorcha smiles again before turning back to the crowd taking to take in the cheers.}
------------------------------------ WOMEN'S WORLD TITLE MATCH Shelly Diamond VS Jennie Fenix(C) ------------------------------------
Alison Valance: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! It is for the IWF Women's Championship! Introducing first, the challenger…
{ The lights in the arena dim to a dull grey as smoke emits from the ramp way. Envy by Ice Nine Kills hits the pa as the lights in the arena turn bright white. As the song really kicks in the lights die down to a normal level to reveal Shelly Diamond standing on the ramp. }
Say what you want, the jealousy's absolute! You've already got the claws diggin' into you! You're hopelessly green, like the sickness you feed! The greed never leaves, it just lies and deceives! Believe me! This envy, it's gonna be the end!
{ Shelly holds her fists up over her head as pyro erupts behind her. Once the light show dies down she begins to strut her way toward the ring to the beat of the music. }
Alison Valance: Making her way to the ring… Shelly Diamond!
{ Shelly walks up the steps, climbing up the outside of the ropes before throwing her fists up over her head again as the lights in the arena turn up to a blinding level. When the lights return to normal she is now standing in the center of the ring, ready and waiting. }
Vasco Dias: I've been waiting for this all week, Morasco. Simply put, Shelly Diamond is the best ever. That's not a catchphrase, it's a fact. She's beaten everyone she's gone up against. I know she doesn't want us to call it a comeback, but it is a comeback. The Women's Championship is about to come back home.
Terri Morasco: Her talent is undeniable, but she isn't unbeatable. It's a tough task the champion has in front of her, but Jennie Fenix is an outstanding competitor herself. Jennie is the champion. Shelly enters this match needing to beat her.
Vasco Dias: You don't need to explain wrestling to me, Morasco. I am a genius! I also printed up a Shelly Diamond victory celebration shirt. Look.
{ Terri Morasco can only shake her head as her broadcast partner rips open his button up dress shirt to reveal his creation underneath it. }
Alison Valance: And her opponent…
{ The former and longest reigning IWF Women’s World Champion, and the challenger for the coveted championship stands in the ring and is getting herself warmed up before the match. The crowd is already buzzing in anticipation of the current champion and fan favorite, Jennie Fenix…and the crowd only gets louder when the lights throughout the Utilia Arena all go out and the crowd is already going crazy… The camera focuses on the challenger inside of the ring, her eyes locked on the stage even as the lavender strobe lights flash to the beat of the music. }
Do I make you nervous? Do I make you scared? Do I make you wanna just stop and stare? Weird, bizarre, unusual Sicker than sick, atypical A perfect picture of your fucking worst nightmare
Do I make you frightened? Do I make you fear for your life? When you're so certain, I'll infect you when I'm near Obscene, twisted, unnatural Off the wall, unacceptable I'm bulletproof to what you think
{ After the first verse of the song, the crowd pops when the IWF Women’s World Champion sashays out from behind the curtains with the title held in one hand, and her other hand taps her finger against her chin while looking down toward her challenger, and with a wide step, she rocks back and forth on her feet. Despite the simple movements, and nothing exciting, the crowd is still going crazy. }
Vasco Dias: What hope does she have of retaining here tonight? This is the night, Terri, this is the night that Shelly Diamond takes back the title and goes on another historic run!
Terri Morasco: There’s no doubt that Jennie Fenix is the underdog walking into this match; she’s going against the longest reigning champion in the history of IWF here tonight, a woman that no one has been able to beat in one-on-one competition, a woman who put the entire roster on notice!
Vasco Dias: Do you notice how she’s not wearing the title around her waist?
Terri Morasco: For a reason. She said she feels she doesn’t deserve it.
{ The song continues to play, and the steps from Jennie come at a slow pace toward the end of the stage; however, her eyes never leave Shelly Diamond until she reaches the end of the stage– the crowd is all chanting in support of Jennie Fenix, and they do cause her to lose her focus as her purple eyes survey the audience. She gives a thumbs up to the audience, but nothing too extravagant as she still carries the title with her and is careful not to let it drag on the floor. }
Terri Morasco: She’s usually a fireball coming down to the ring, but it seems like she’s in her own head right now.
Vasco Dias: She knows she’s walking to the gallows now!
{ Jennie continues her slow stride down to the bottom of the ramp at the edge of the ramp, and reaches over to mingle with much of the crowd. }
Alison Valance: Making her way to the ring… she is the reigning, defending IWF Women's Champion! Jennie Fenix!
{ When Jennie reaches the bottom of the ramp, she dashes forward and slides under the bottom rope and wastes no time with getting into Shelly Diamond’s face; Shelly looks ready for Jennie to spring right into action, as does this whole audience, but she stops on a dime right in front of her… the nearby camera takes priority and is able to pick up some audio. }
Jennie Fenix: Take it.
{ Jennie is holding the title toward Shelly. Shelly looks down towards the title, and shakes her head. }
Jennie Fenix: Take it!
{ Jennie thrusts the title forward, jabbing it slightly against Shelly, and Shelly shakes her head again. }
Jennie Fenix: Please…
{ With how deafening the audience has become, it makes it impossible for the two to even hear each other; Shelly grabs Jennie by the back of the head and pulls her in that the camera is able to barely pick up, but manages to get enough of it. }
Shelly Diamond: You’re the champ. Start acting like it.
{ Shelly tells her boldly, and Jennie takes a step away from her… She trembles in place for the moment, but Shelly goads Jennie on, and mouths something to her– Jennie raises the title over her head, and Shelly now snaps forward and the two are nose to nose, Shelly still enticing Jennie to become more and more fired up, and this crowd is ecstatic! }
Terri Morasco: Did you pick up what she told her?
Vasco Dias: She told her that she is the champ, and she had better start acting like it! But she’s not gonna be champ for long!
Terri Morasco: This could backfire against Shelly. She’s trying to fire up her opponent! This crowd is already rallied behind her in absolute pandemonium!
Vasco Dias: It’s not happening, Terri! Shelly takes back the title tonight!
{ The referee finally gets between them and pushes the two apart, but the two are still mouthing off at each other…now completely inaudible; is it encouragement? Is it an insult? Does Shelly have more respect for Jennie than she does for Tara? So many questions, and potential answers being drowned out by this audience! Jennie pivots on her heel and goes to the nearby corner, and raises her title high over her head to receive a huge pop from the audience. Meanwhile, Shelly is pacing back and forth, fully prepared for this match; Jennie springs off the turnbuckle with a back flip, landing back on her feet, and almost instantly hands the title over to the referee. }
Terri Morasco: Ladies and gentlemen, this match is about to get underway!
{ The referee holds the title up for only a brief moment before handing it out to another crew member, but he dares not walk too far away from the middle; he points to Shelly to ask if she’s ready…she nods, and now to Jennie! She nods! He calls for the bell! }
Vasco Dias: Here we go!
{ The two women close in on each other. Jennie shows a little over eager out of the gate with an attempted kick to her challenger's midsection, and Diamond makes her pay with a dragon screw leg whip that throws the champion to the canvas. Calm and in control, Shelly watches as Jennie tries to bounce back up as quickly as possible. Diamond goes to work with some kicks, targeting the left leg of Jennie Fenix. Jennie's knee buckles a few times during the exchange. She tries to seize the advantage a few times from Shelly, but Diamond is patient with her kicks, waiting for the opportune openings to strike. }
Terri Morasco: Shelly is working to destroy Jennie's vertical base with a surgical-like precision.
Vasco Dias: Where is Keybo?! We need to get him down there with a microphone to ask Jennie if she still wants this match now.
{ Diamond continues to prey on Jennie's inexperience and eagerness, feigning punches, only to strike with more targeted kicks to Fenix's left leg. Eventually Jennie is forced back into a corner. The challenger changes her approach, unleashing a blistering chop across Jennie's chest. Shelly brings Jennie out of the corner with a snapmare into a roll over neck breaker. Shelly goes for a pin attempt. Referee Jessica Andrews slides into position… }
One! Two!! No!!!
{ Jennie is able to kick out just after a count of two! The crowd chants for Jennie, trying to rally her. Shelly grabs two handfuls of Fenix's hair to lift her off the canvas. Diamond lays in an uppercut that rocks Jennie. Shelly runs the ropes, catching Jennie with a big time thrust kick that puts her down hard. Shelly goes for another pin attempt. Referee Jessica Andrews slides into position yet again… }
One! Two!! No!!!
{ The champion shows her resilience once again by kicking out! Shelly demonstrates to the official how to properly count to three, a little displeased with the pace of the count. Jennie rolls over wearing a thousand-yard stare after absorbing the kick to the head. }
Terri Morasco: Jennie Fenix has taken a lot of punishment, but she refuses to stay down!
Vasco Dias: The match would've already been over if this official didn't flunk out of first grade! It's only a matter of time though, Morasco. It's only a matter of time.
{ Diamond brings Fenix up off the canvas. Shelly lays in an European uppercut under Fenix's chin. Jennie takes a step back, but she answers with a headbutt that stuns Shelly! Jennie starts unloading on Shelly, alternating between knife-edge and over hand chops! The crowd fires up with Djinxie! Still hobbled, Jennie keeps her offense simple with a boot to the abdomen, followed by a single arm DDT that drives her challenger's head into the mat! Jennie sits up, pounding her chest with a roar! She slaps her leg a few times to get some feeling back in it before making her way to her feet. She brings her challenger to her feet now. Shelly has enough wherewithal about her still to counter an Irish-whip, sending Jennie toward the corner. Jennie springs to the top rope, and returns in a back flip to land back on her feet! Fenix catches Shelly with a front dropkick, sending her into the second turnbuckle! Jennie goes into a handstand and comes down with a double knee drop across Diamond's back… and Shelly falls into a seated position in the corner, clutching her back. The crowd pops huge as Jennie does another handstand on the turnbuckle and comes down with a dropkick this time, crushing Diamond in the corner! }
Terri Morasco: A flurry of offense from the Champion! I don't think Shelly knows what just hit her!
Vasco Dias: You don't treat a Hall of Famer that way!
{ Jennie drags Shelly out of the corner and makes a cover. The referee slides into position! }
One! Two!! No!!!
{ Jessica Andrews points over at Shelly's foot, which is resting on top of the bottom rope! Jennie presses both of her hands on her head in disbelief. }
Vasco Dias: That's why Shelly Diamond is the greatest of all time, Morasco! Her ring IQ is off the charts! No wasted energy! Just a simple foot on the ropes will do.
Terri Morasco: Jennie has some all important momentum now, though. She's done some damage to her challenger.
{ With Shelly laying on the canvas, Fenix aggressively lays in a few hard punches that land on Shelly's head. Jennie rolls outside. She reaches under the ropes, taking Diamond by the arm, and drags her to the nearest corner. Jennie takes hold of Shelly's other arm, pulling her under the corner and then shoulder-first into the steel ring post. The official gets on Jennie about the tactic as Shelly clutches her shoulder. Fenix continues her attack by pulling Shelly back onto the apron so Diamond's head is laying face up, draped over the hardest part of the ring. Jennie quickly scales the turnbuckles in the corner, leaping off and dropping a leg across Shelly's head!! Diamond writhes in pain under the ropes, and Jennie doesn't walk away from her own move unscathed. Fenix wills herself to her feet though, and despite a limp, beats the count back inside! }
Terri Morasco: After dialing up the intensity, Jennie Fenix may be looking to try to put Shelly Diamond away!
Vasco Dias: I'm a little nervous, Morasco. We know Shelly has had some shoulder issues, and that shoulder just ate a steel post a moment ago.
{ Jennie delivers a couple of stiff stomps to Shelly's shoulder. She rips Diamond off the canvas afterward, setting up a flying Juji Gatame transitioned into a cradle for a pin! The official slides into position!... }
One! Two! NO!!!
{ Shelly Diamond, injured shoulder and all, kicks out of the cradle just before the three!!! }
Vasco Dias: Whew!!! My pulse is racing, Morasco!
Terri Morasco: Jennie Fenix has to be asking herself right now what do I have to do to beat Shelly!
{ The champion pounds the mat in some frustration. She gets up, readying herself to do more damage to her adversary. Shelly lifts her knees to counter a handstand double knee drop by Jennie though! Fenix takes damage to her leg off the counter, falling backwards with a grimace! The official had no choice but to start a standing ten count for both women as they suffer through the pain of battle. }
One!... Two!... Three!... Four!!... Five!!... Six!!... Seven!!... Ei-
{ Diamond has rolled over and pushed herself onto her knees, looking up to see Jennie limping towards her when the referee stops the count. Shelly tucks her injured arm tightly to her side, gritting her teeth as she stands to meet the champion. Jennie throws a punch! Shelly answers with one of her own! The two women continue to stand and trade! The crowd chants "boo" every time Shelly lands, then "yay!" when Jennie answers. Fenix tries to throw a kick to Shelly's midsection, but Shelly takes her injured arm off her side and catches it! Then, as she has done so many times during her historic run, Diamond performs "Knee Surgery" on Jennie; chaining together a series of dragon screw leg whips, reaching nine in total before Shelly has to let go, having almost nothing left in her arm! }
{ Diamond kneels on the canvas, holding her shoulder. Her eyes lock-in on Jennie, who lays vulnerable on the mat. Shelly wills herself up, walking over and insultingly pushing on Jennie's head with her boot a few times. The ambidextrous Fenix tries valiantly to fight up from underneath with some closed fists from both sides, but Shelly buries a hard knee strike right into Jennie's nose that sends a trickle of blood down over Jennie's upper lip! Diamond rears back, hitting Jennie Fenix with the "Chopping Block' a whopping fifteen times in total until Jennie is practically lifeless and falling forwards into the kicks! Immediately after the last kick, Shelly scoops Jennie into position and nails her with the "Tiger Driver 98!" The crowd gasps as Shelly lays back into a cover, unable to hook Jennie's leg because of her injured shoulder. The referee slides into position for the count… }
One! Two! Th- NO!!!
{ Jennie Fenix kicks out with the official's hand only about an inch away from slapping the mat a third time!!! }
Vasco Dias: How in the hell did she kick out of the Tiger Driver?! How?! That should've been it! It should be over! I made a shirt!
Terri Morasco: Guts?! Adrenaline?! Sheer force of will?! I don't know! You can see by the expression on Shelly's face, she's asking herself those very same questions!
{ The crowd is on their feet, cheering for Jennie. Blood flowing from her nose, pain shooting through her leg and neck, the champion -their champion- rolls on her side, armed with an iron will. Jennie fights courageously to drag her battered body toward the ropes. Shelly can only sit, slumped over and stunned, nursing her shoulder. }
{ The challenger brushes her hair from her eyes as she stands, careful with her arm. Bringing herself to her feet with the aid of the ropes, Jennie spots Shelly coming out of the corner of her eye. Fenix musters every ounce of energy she has in reserve, springboards off the ropes, hurling Shelly to the canvas with a springboard arm drag! Jennie wipes the blood from her nose with her wrist. She takes some time to lick her wounds, then pushes to her feet again. Walking with a pronounced limp, Jennie closes in on Shelly. She attacks Diamond's shoulder again, locking her into a Rolling Juji Gatame submission! Shelly's face tells a story of anguish! Her only saving grace, she can spy the sanctuary of the ropes if she is only able to contort her body! }
Terri Morasco: Jennie is ripping at Shelly's injured shoulder with everything she has!
Vasco Dias: Shelly Diamond would sooner see her arm ripped off than tap out here, Morasco!
Terri Morasco: How much more can she possibly take though?! The mind may be willing, but at some point that shoulder won't be able!
{ Diamond turns her body, scooting for the ropes, using her injured shoulder to drag Jennie's weight like the one hundred twenty-one pound anchor it has become! Diamond stretches out her leg, just reaching the bottom rope with the toe of her boot! This time Fenix keeps her composure, rolling backwards off the submission. In a swift motion, the champion pulls Shelly to her feet and dumps her backwards with a half-nelson suplex! Shelly lands hard on her head and shoulder! Not finished just yet, Jennie digs down deep, lifting Shelly up and drilling her into the canvas with the 'Djinn Driver"!!! Fenix holds on for the cover! }
One! Two!! Three!!!
{ The official signals for the bell. }
Ding! Ding! Ding!
{ The building comes unglued as Jennie falls backwards off the pin! Both women lay absolutely broken on the canvas as Fenix's music hits! }
Terri Morasco: Jennie wins! Jennie Fenix has done what has seemed impossible for an eternity now- pinning Shelly Diamond's shoulders to the canvas for three seconds!
Vasco Dias: But… I made a shirt. This was supposed to be the comeback, Morasco. I made a shirt, damnit!
{ The official hands Jennie her championship, which she holds tight to her chest while still laying on the canvas. She sits up, looking down at the nameplate on the title. Slowly Jennie gets the rest of the way to her feet after some moments pass. She looks down at Shelly, who is laying on the mat still, only now holding her arm. Jennie limps over, offering her hand to Shelly. Diamond stares back at her intensely before taking Jennie's hand so the champion can help her to her up. With the one good arm she has use of, Shelly raises Jennie's arm in victory. The two share a brief hug, with Shelly whispering something into Jennie's ear. Diamond then bows out of the ring, walking up the ramp still heavily favoring her shoulder. }
Terri Morasco: What an unbelievable moment! The Work have done some heinous things, but tonight Shelly Diamond with an incredible display of sportsmanship and acknowledgment of the Women's Champion- Jennie Fenix!
Vasco Dias: I hate it! I hate everything about this! Can we just go to a break or something?
{ Jennie Fenix holds her championship high in the air, basking in the chants of "Jenn-ie!" as the show goes to a break. }
------------------------------------ SEGMENT The Phone Call ------------------------------------
{ Back from commercial, the show continues with a shot of Randon Haynes sitting in his office. He leans back in his chair, sighing heavily. The phone on his desk starts buzzing. It was a call he knew was coming after the conclusion of the Women's title match. He reaches forward to answer it. }
Randon Haynes: Hey, Stephen.
{ He holds the phone away from his ear, but the shouting on the other side is audible. Eventually he brings the phone back to his ear. }
Randon Haynes: I'm sorry, I don't know what that was out there. You're going to have to ask her.
{ There is more shouting on the other side before Randon has to interject. }
Randon Haynes: I'm going to need to put you on speaker. I understand you're upset.
{ Randon clicks the speaker button and sets the phone on his desk. }
Stephen Terrella: It's fucking bullshit! Bullshit! That bitch's sister stomped me into a fucking electrical box and Shelly is going to fucking hug her?!
Randon Haynes: I can't-
Stephen Terrella: You're not going to sit there and tell me what you can't fucking do! I want Tara! I want Wraith! Hell, I want fucking Jennie in a match at Odyssey! Brandy and me… we'll do what Shelly fucking couldn't! Get me the damn match!
Randon Haynes: I would. I will. You know Rob and Chris aren't cleared, though. I know you're mad at Shelly-
Stephen Terrella: We got a partner! I called her before I called you! She's good! Make the fucking match! If I come to Odyssey and I ain't got it, no one is going to like what happens!
Randon Haynes: Ok, alright, as long as Jennie is cleared, you have the match. Anything you want. Who is your-
{ Terrella hangs up on the other end. }
Randon Haynes: …partner?
{ Haynes squeezes his temples with his hand. }
Randon Haynes: This isn't going to end well. I can feel it.
{ The show goes to a promotional video recapping the first match in the Angel Blake and Nick Knight series. }
------------------------------------ BEST OF FIVE SERIES MATCH TWO SINGLES MATCH 1500 Word RP Limit Nick Knight vs Angel Blake ------------------------------------
Alison Valance: The following is the second match in a best out of five series match for the world championship!
Terri Morasco: Here we are on match two. How do you see this ending Vasco?
Vasco Dias: Huh?
{ Slowed down carousel music begins to play and is soon joined by unhinged laughing. Driving guitars join the fray and as the voice of Ivan Moody growls "Welcome to the Circus" Nick Knight bursts through the curtain and begins stomping his way towards the ring. }
Welcome to the shit show Just another freak show Hang your hat and hate at the door It's a game of torture Souls are made to order Everything you wanted and more
{ Knight reaches ring side as the pre-chorus begins }
You've gotta kill somebody to thrill somebody Everybody's gotta reason to bleed You've gotta fuck somebody to know somebody That motherfucker ain't me
{ He begins to clap trying to get the fans into it as the chorus begins to play. }
Am I the only one That doesn't buy into the lies? Am I the only one That doesn't wear a disguise? 'Cause if I can't break it And I can't change it Then tell me, how will I know? (Tell me, how will I?) Am I the only one That isn't just here for the show?
{ When it get to the very last line the entire arena joins in with Ivan's snarl }
WELCOME TO THE CIRCUS!!!
Alison Valance: First into the ring, NICK KNIGHT!
{ All the lights in the arena go out as words blaze across the Imperitron. }
“Blessed are the wicked who are healed by my hands.”
{ The entire arena absolutely explodes with cheers as the opening notes of the orchestra version of Gateways begins to play as flames erupt across the stage like napalm. Slowly Angel Blake begins to rise from within the flames with his arms outstretched wearing a long black coat with the birthdate of his baby girl embroidered on the back and the IWF World Championship around his waist. Angel throws his arms up in the air as the metal version of Gateways takes over and really kicks into gear. Flames erupt all the way down the stage and ignite the ring posts as well as the lyrics finally kick in. }
The core principle of freedom Is the only notion to obey The formula of evolution and sin Leading the way
{ Angel steps out of the flames looking over to the crowd with a terrible grin before looking toward the ring. He scowls as he begins to walk, flames erupting behind him with every step. Angel finally reaches the ring, lifting his coat to walk up the steps. He stops on the apron and looks out toward the crowd as the song blasts. Blake throws his arms out and his head back as the arena lights go up to a blinding level. Blake turns and steps into the ring with confidence heading over to the far corner. The chorus comes back around as Angel stands up on the second turnbuckle and crosses his arms over his head in an X. Blake hops down and turns his back to the corner and throws his coat off as the music dies down. }
Alison Valance: Second into the ring… ANGEL BLAKE!
{the match starts almost the nanosecond the bell rings. Angel and Nick waste no time just unleashing on one another. A couple of times Angel almost gets Nick into the ABSOLUTION but Nick keeps getting out of the way at the last moment. Angel keeps focusing on the knee he’d focused on last week. Nick is mostly on the defensive this week.}
Terri Morasco: These men are tearing eachother apart!
Vasco Dias: Just the way I like it
{Nick dodges the strike from angel in an over-exaggerated way, knocking into the ref and knocking him out of the ring to hit the outside of the ring. Angel glares. Nick hits Angel with a hard headbutt followed by a low blow. Nick pulls a piece of metal out of his knee brace. He then uses it to beat angel over the head and shoulders hard.}
Terri Morasco: He can’t do that!
Vasco Dias: What? Are you going to stop him?
{Nick doesn’t let up continuing to beat Angel with the piece of metal.}
Terri Morasco: Jesus. Someone stop this.
Vasco Dias: Sometimes you need a little helping hand to battle God.
{Nick notices the ref getting back up and puts the metal back in his brace and moves out of the ring to drag the ref back in.}
Terri Morasco: Oh, he’s not going to fall for that, is he?
Vasco Dias: Well...
{Nick goes for the pin 1 2 3!! Angel kicks out?}
Vasco Dias: Angel kicked out!
Terri Morasco: It was after the count…I think?
{The ref singles for the bell.}
Alison Valance: And your winner… Nick Knight!
{Nick smirks as he slides out of the ring as Angel clearly shows his displeasure by moving into the ref’s personal space.}
Terri Morasco: Nick used some under handed tactics in this match…
Vasco Dias: That is the name of the game at this point.
