The overcast sky brought a sense of gloom… It was the middle of the day, but it was impossible to tell by the lack of sunlight unable to penetrate the thick storm clouds. The thunder did not cease, and as far as anyone could see, the storm was here to stay. This is the type of storm that would send the masses to seek shelter. The type of storm that no ordinary person would dare venture into. The type of storm that would have people whispering about the end of days.
However, one person did venture out to the storm. One wanderer, clad in a fur cloak that they clung to themselves for warmth; their hand was up to keep the hood covering their face. Each step the wanderer took caused their foot to sink a little into the muddied path, and they pressed on. The familiar voice belonging to James Earl Jones is heard in the voiceover.
Another thunderclap, as the sky flashes from the oncoming lightning, but this does not dissuade the wanderer from continuing to walk along the dirt path, there are images that flash through beside them… Images of Angel Blake, the first-ever winner of the Roulette.
Another flash of lightning, and now images of Andrew Jacobsen begin to show up on the screen.
Another flash of lightning, and now Spike Kane is the one that shows beside the wanderer.
The next flash of lightning brings a more modern, and familiar face to the audience: JC Keeton.
It seems like the storm is starting to die down… The thunder has slowed, but the drizzling rain continues to fall on the wanderer who uses his hand to keep the water out of his eyes.
There is finally a break in the clouds as the wanderer heads up a hill, and he stops to overlook the path in front of him. The sides were littered with carnage; overturned and abandoned wagons, supplies that were picked bone dry by thieves, or even monsters that attacked people on the road. The voice continues.
The camera shot moves up, seeing as far as it can down the path… There is more carnage to follow, more disasters that have befallen other travelers along this path. Thieves taking anything of value. Demons destroying everything. The camera fades out on that final image.

There are few people who have had the honor of standing tall in the ring after the Imperial Wrestling Federation’s own Roulette event… There have been more people to call themselves the World Champion than there have been people to call themselves the winner of the Roulette. Some who have gone on, or added to, an already extraordinary legacy!

Angel Blake– arguably one of the greatest to ever grace the ring with his presence, he has had a foothold on the IWF for the longest time, and a presence that has instilled nothing but fear into the hearts of his opponents. As much as he has accomplished throughout his illustrious career, winning the Roulette for an unprecedented two times only helped secure his legacy as an IWF Hall of Famer, and some could argue was the start that finally brought the title to his feet… A title that he would also acquire an unprecedented four times.
Another flash of lightning, and now images of Andrew Jacobsen begin to show up on the screen.
Andrew Jacobsen– the boy scout, the boy chasing his dream, and accomplishing it when he had the opportunity to win the Roulette! With one single run, he shattered the record as a one-time holder, and he proved himself to be one of the greats when he also gained ten successful defenses of the IWF Men’s World Championship, something that no other man has been able to do since. Two earth shattering records that all began with a win at the Roulette!
Another flash of lightning, and now Spike Kane is the one that shows beside the wanderer.
There are few people who can hold a candle to the career that Spike Kane has had in this industry, and he has been counted amongst the handful of people to be able to call themselves a winner of the Roulette. There are few people who have been able to call themselves a World Champion as many times as Spike Kane has climbed to the top of the mountain, and winning the Roulette was just another opportunity for him to do so! All made possible by a single win in the Roulette.
The next flash of lightning brings a more modern, and familiar face to the audience: JC Keeton.
Another boy chasing his dream by entering the Roulette, and for the first time ever, allowing outsiders to take part in the staggering event, but JC Keeton fought! And fought! There was not going to be one thing to stop him from cementing his place in the history books with one of the greatest returns that the IWF had ever seen… And to acquire the IWF Men’s World Championship, a title that eluded Jake Keeton, JC’s father, throughout his entire career! JC Keeton fulfilled his dream, and it all started with a victory in the Roulette.
It seems like the storm is starting to die down… The thunder has slowed, but the drizzling rain continues to fall on the wanderer who uses his hand to keep the water out of his eyes.
Not everyone who can call themselves a winner of the Roulette got to see the same success that the rest of them have had. Jake “The Ace” Conway, Evan “Thunderchild” Albrecht, and even Angel Blake on his second win of the event were not able to capitalize on their golden ticket to Night of the Immortals! However, they will forever be remembered to have won the event.

And while only one person per year could walk out with the honor of calling themselves the winner of the Roulette, there were two-hundred-eighty-five people who have made the attempt to have the honor. Two-hundred-seventy-six people that have tried, two-hundred-seventy-six people who have failed! Two-hundred-seventy-six people who have had their dreams broken. But if you asked any of them if it was worth it, they would tell you “yes”. They would tell you the heartbreak was worth it! All for a chance to punch that golden ticket… all for a chance to walk into Night of the Immortals for a shot at the grandest prize in the industry of professional wrestling: the Imperial Wrestling Federation World Championship!
