"Nah...it's still blonde. Style's different', though…"
Bridget Marshall chuckled with a slight smile, watching her son as he took his first sip from a piping hot cup of Earl Grey. Normally a heavy Dr. Pepper consumer, it felt like a nice change of pace for him to try something different. That was, all things considered, the point of his tours of Japan and the United Kingdom.
Bridget took a deep breath and looked into Ram's eyes.
"My God, where did the time go...?"
Ram smiled as he told his mother everything he's experienced during the past nine months. From being put on a year's probation, to meeting Caroline Machado and Nick Danger, to joining the Revolution stable and headlining a majory pay-per-view event, he spoke to her as colorful as he could. The more he spoke, the more of a burden that got taken off of his shoulders.
"At least you're doing well, trying to stay out of trouble.."
"Heh. Tall order, considering that every city or town I've seen has shown me its share of distractions..."
Ram, in kind, listened as Bridget told her side of the story. Given a full pardon by then-President Donald J. Trump in 2018 for "good behavior" as she put it, she set out to restart her life and stay on the straight and narrow. Bridget wound up getting remarried and forming an indpendent video game development studio called RAM-COM Software -- named after her son.
It humbled Ram a lot, made him think back to the happier days they shared when he was younger.
"I...I missed hearing your voice."
"Just like the good ol' days, huh?!"
Bridge paused.
"Any girlfriend situations?"
Ram blushed a little...
"Ahh, cute…"
...but it was tempered by two different factors. Peach, who he had met on the Japan tour, got a gig working for Konami. Caroline was, for the most part, considered by Ram to be too much of a big sister for him to date her.
"I...I just don't know if I'm ready for that stuff yet..."
Ram's mother closed her eyes.
"You got one thing that's more important than anything else in the world."
"What's that...?"
"Time. You've got plenty of time…"
Ram raised both brows.
"Plenty of time for what...?"
...to be continued...

Catchin' my drift yet, boys?!
Thing is, I've been waitin' for MONTHS to throw Angel Blake's words right back in his face. None of that warpaint bullshit is gonna stop me from marchin' my happy ass into that ring and chuckin' twenty-nine other hapless bastards over the top rope and onto the floor. As much as I have to try and deal with the bullshit comin' out of his mouth as well as the mouths of the reporters, it's nothin' more than projection.
Plain and simple.
'Cause none of y'all are as god-like as you THINK you are!
Nick Danger thought of himself as the savior of wrestling, but I twerked his left arm ON DAY ONE and made him scream like a l'il bitch! Caleb Cannin thinks he's the future of this business -- gee, where have I heard THAT one before -- but I put his ass in a kimura and he did what came naturally soon after. The point bein', somedays y'all are gonna kick my ass and somedays I'm gonna kick yours; that's just the nature of the beast.
But I sure as shit ain't gonna simply show up and collect a paycheck just for BEIN' in the Roulette.
Face it, boys...I don't care if your name's Dean Harper or Wraith. I don't give a shit if you have the pedigree of Keeton or Alek Bronson. Y'all can throw whatever reasons y'all want for wantin' to win this sumbitch -- whether it's bein' better than your daddy or servin' some kind of puppet master -- it ain't gonna be good enough. I'm winnin' this damn thing not 'cause I'm better than you or some grandiose motivation.
I simply want it MORE than y'all!
So...let's ask the same thing Angel asked me prior to the Extinction Event. Are y'all ready to sacrifice EVERYTHING in order to win this match?! Are y'all willin' to step up your games and evolve to the next level of competition?! 'Cause after this, comes the biggest stage of 'em all -- Night of the Immortals. Are y'all prepared for the biggest grind of 'em all?!
I am.
