Utilising his previous experience as a bounty hunter he has set out to “reform” nCw and to use the company as a platform to air his radical views through attaining notoriety and personal glory.
After a solid year and more of attempts to bring about radical change in NCW geared to make the federation fairer for everybody and for people to be rewarded for hard work and not nepotism by fighting not only Leonard Fox, but also his daughter and the Hierarchy, Verona has turned his back on his previous dream of creating a wrestling utopia.
Instead, he is now focused purely on becoming the next icon of the business, looking out for his own interests and doing so by any means necessary after realizing that, in his opinion, the men he was fighting for never truly deserved the great sacrifice he placed his body through in their name, which culminated in ending Xander Famularo's year plus winning streak. Verona's revolution has become one to bring about the next icon of NCW to usher in the next great era of the company (himself, naturally) and to fight purely for himself, rather than to bring about equality and fair treatment for all. Whilst many will label Verona selfish for his actions, as far as he is concerned there is little purpose in serving the interests of a "corrupt and squalid roster riddled with moral decay", despite this he has no such negative feelings for the fans of the company which continues to earn him some support despite his methods of achieving victory at times.
At the Road to the Gold 2012, Roberto Verona became the NCW World Champion and closed the show by shaking hands with Kelly Fox, to signal a new union atop the company.

As cheers being to resonate around the arena Verona raises his head and he begins a slow methodical march down the ramp, the spotlight following him as golden pyro rains down from above on the stage. Verona stares with disgust at the crowd who cheer him as he approaches the ring, but he doesn't react to them. As he reaches the steps he slowly ascends them before walking towards the middle of the ring apron, turning around to look into the crowd one last time before looking up and closing his eyes as he stretches his arms out wide and basks in the adulation. After indulging himself Verona climbs into the ring, psyching himself up as he awaits the beginning of the match. }
